You were nervous. You didn't realise how nerve-racking it would be when you walked into Avengers Tower on your first day. You didn't understand why you were nervous though, you knew the Avengers, and well you knew of them, you only personally knew one of them.

You were given instructions on to where to find the avengers. The journey in the lift was long and you began to spin your engagement ring around your finger, in an attempt to distract yourself from the nerves.

The doors slid open and you followed the AI systems instructions until you got to a room where five of the avengers sat, the only one that wasn't there was the one you knew.

"You must be the new Avenger," Natasha beamed.

You knew of them all through your fiancé, and from TV also, but none of them knew of you other than a few things they were told from you being employed.

"Yeah, I'm Y/N," you smiled awkwardly.

"Well they never told us you were so beautiful," Tony smirked stepping towards you.

He took your hand kissing the back of it. It did make you wonder how un-observant he was seen as he must have noticed your ring.

"Thanks?" you said questioningly.

"It'll be nice to have an attractive woman around that won't kick my arse," he grinned.

"Physically no, I couldn't hurt you, but clearly you either didn't know or forgot that I can manipulate minds, I can make you do whatever I want Mr Stark," you smirked.

A deep chuckle occurred behind you. You turned around to see your fiancé leaning against the door frame.

"Hello Y/N," he smiled.

You smiled back at him walking towards him. You wrapped your arms around his neck pressing your lips to his. He wrapped his arms around your waist, smiling as he pulled away.

"How comes I got threatened, and you lock lips with him?" Tony exclaimed.

"I'm not marrying you," you shrugged holding up your hand to show the engagement ring on your finger.

"Cap you're engaged?" Natasha asked.

"Why didn't you tell us?" Clint questioned.

Steve pulled you closer kissing your temple.

"It was nice to have some normality in my life, keeping Y/N a secret from you guys just seemed like the right thing to do. It just seemed nice to keep our relationship out of your speculation and without having the never ending teasing from you guys," Steve shrugged.

"I'm hurting Capsicle, why would I ever tease you?" Tony fake gasped.

Steve rolled his eyes.

"Don't worry about him Steve. You two are so cute together, and now we know, you know you are going to have those four fighting over who's your best man right?" Natasha laughed.

"Have fun with that," you smiled.

"I have no choice in the matter. I'd like to think I do, but Y/N, will decide between you guys," Steve chuckled, "it's nice to think my opinions are valid in planning the wedding but really I am more than delighted for Y/N to plan the day how she wants it."

"Hey, don't whine I've considered your ideas. The colour scheme is red, white and blue, a bald eagle is delivering the rings, we're having apple pie for dessert," you chuckled.

He gave you an unamused look.
