Loki Laufeyson- Smile (c)
He had his usual scowl on his face. You sighed walking over the grumpy man sitting down next to him prodding his shoulder with a finger.
"What's up grumpy pants?" you said in a high pitched voice, with a smile spread across your face.
"I'm not grumpy," he frowned.
"Then why are you frowning?" you sighed.
He continued his scowl as his eyebrows furrowed.
"I'm not frowning."
You let out a laugh as you turned his face to you. He looked slightly confused as you pressed your index fingers to the corners of his mouth. You pushed your fingers up slightly forcing him to smile, even though it looked completely and utterly fake, but it'd do for now.
"Come on Loki, be happy," you said in a sing song voice, with a grin on your face.
"I am happy. I have you by my side, why wouldn't I be happy?" he asked still with the fake smile you were putting on his face.
"You don't look happy. Why don't you smile? I've only ever seen you smile like twice, and then you do that evil grin when something bad happens," you explained.
You moved your hands away from his face letting out a deep sigh.
"Why do you always look so happy? Shouldn't you just have to reassure yourself you are happy rather than the whole world," he questioned, with a concerned expression.
"But smiling is contagious. Just seeing people smile makes others smile too. I want to be able to make people happy Loki. And scowling at them doesn't make them happy," you sighed.
"You make me happy my love," he whispered resting his hand softly on your chin, "But why is it so important for you to see me smile. You know I am happy as long as you are there even if I don't outwardly show it."
You smiled at him softly.
"I just like it when you smile. It makes you look more handsome. You are already devishly handsome, but with a smile, I can see your dimples and I like your dimples," you whispered.
He laughed, creating a small smile on his face.
"Well you look beautiful no matter your expression, but I do enjoy your smile," he stated leaning in and pressing his lips to yours for a mere second, "You may not have dimples, but your eyes crinkle, and I can see your slightly crooked teeth. You just look so adorable."
You laughed wrapping your arms around him resting your head on his shoulder
"I love you."
"I love you too," he said, wrapping an arm around your shoulders leaning his head on yours.
"But you need to smile more," you added.
