[Sadness ahead.]

Natasha won't know when she meets her soulmate. Back during her days in the Red Room, the graduation ceremony was to scratch out her numbers.

There's a large scar running along her skin where the numbers should be, counting down the days until she meets 'the one', but they're forever gone and she's afraid that she'll never meet them.

So on the day she has a covert mission, she looks down at the scar, feels it tingling and it's like she knows. She's about to meet her soulmate.

She stands, walks past the target and then- and the the target gasps, and Natasha stops. She turns slowly, trying not to let the horror show as the targets face lights up with a smile.

"Hi," She enthusiastically holds her hand out forward, and Natasha takes it slowly. "I'm (Y/n) Pierce. And you are?"

Of all the people who could've been Natasha's soulmate, it just had to be the daughter of the man who brainwashed Steve's best friend.

The mission is to take out (Y/n) Pierce, because it's led to believe she's been in contact with HYDRA and has taken over her fathers work.

And it absolutely kills Natasha when (Y/n) pulls her in for a hug, and Natasha takes out the syringe filled with poison and injects it into (Y/n)'s neck.
