The fight between you and him happened two weeks ago. However, the wounding words that came out of his mouth were still fresh in your mind, piercing your fragile heart everytime you remembered about it.

Eddie Brock was always gentle with you. He had a soft spot for you, and only you. Right now when you were apart, you missed his goofy grin and his jokes to make you laugh.

But you could also remember how he grabbed your arms angrily, and he was shoving you to the wall— the only thing that shielded your head from meeting the wall was Venom.

If Venom was not quick enough to come out, you were sure that Eddie would not just stop there. He would hurt you even further.

"Eddie, you're hurting me!"

Your whimper did not make him realise how bad you were trembling as his grip on your arms tightened.

"You're the one who has been hurting me!"

He yelled on your face, shoving you harshly to the wall. You were much smaller than him, and it all happened too fast for you to stop yourself from falling.

You shut your eyes tightly, a tear rolled down upon your cheek as you realised that you lost your Eddie. That person who was hurting you, was not him that you fell in love with.

"It's okay, pumpkin. I got you."

You opened your eyes to find Venom was protecting you from the impact. Your head never met the hard wall because of him. You cried when you noticed he said he got you. It was always "We got you", but then you realised that at the moment— Venom was the one who got you, not Eddie.

Tears streamed down your face and you pulled your knees close to your chest. You could not sleep. Since the incident, you had nightmares haunting you and Eddie was not there to comfort you.

He used to be the one who would chase the monsters in your dreams, but now, Eddie was the monster.

A knock on your door shook you from your train of thoughts. You wiped your tears away and faked a smile to look presentable.

But as soon as you opened the door, your face fell. Your heart was hammering against your chest and tears flooded your eyes.

"Eddie, what are you doing here?"

You lips quivered, fear started to crawl over your chest. You hated this feeling. You used to be happy to see him, but now you were scared.

"I know I messed up. I really did."

He started, remorse was evident in his eyes. But that was not enough to make you cave in and forgive him.

"I'm sorry, Y/N. I--- I didn't know what was happening to me. I would never hurt you, pumpkin.."

Tears welled in his eyes as he saw you were frightened of him. He used to be the one who protected you, but it all changed now.

"You did. You hurt me."

You muttered, looking away from him. Eddie nodded weakly. Venom was scolding him in his mind, but that was his last concern right now.

"I was an idiot, I still am. I just want you to know that you're a wonderful person and you didn't deserve what I did to you."

He was truly sorry and you knew it. He shook his head and a wistful sigh escaped his lips.

"You deserve someone better than me, we both know it."

He gave you a sad smile. As he said that, Venom went quiet in his mind. Perhaps the symbiote was dejected to hear those words.

"I love you, Venom loves you... But we know that after what I've done, you will never love me again."

His heart was shattered into tiny little pieces when you did not say anything. You looked at him and gave him a small smile.

"You and Venom are special to me."

You whispered sadly, shaking your head when you remembered about those happy moments with them. Eddie held back his tears and took a deep breath.

"You're special to us, Y/N. You're our only pumpkin."

He tried so hard to keep his tears at bay but once he said those words, he cried. He was not strong to see you leave, knowing that he was the one who push you away.

"Do we have to say goodbye?"

You asked, chuckling half-heartedly at him. Eddie forced a smile, shrugging his shoulders. Venom was not happy, he knew, but your happiness mattered the most to him.

"I'm not willing to say goodbye. But I will, we will if that makes you happy."

Eddie chewed on his bottom lip, trying to contain his sadness that was flowing out like a river. You nodded weakly, and Eddie knew he had lost you. You loved him, but he was the one who ruined everything.

"You're the best part of our life, Y/N. Thank you for being our pumpkin. Again, I'm sorry."

Hot tears boiled in your eyes and you wanted to just forget everything, but you could not.

"We love you. Goodbye, pumpkin."

Your heart bled and your eyes cried when you heard Venom's voice. But you did what you had to do. You shut the door and put your hand over your mouth. You walked out of his life forever, and that was it.

Eddie could hear your muffled sobs from outside the door, but he could not do anything. He was not a part of your life anymore. He was only someone you loved, but not anymore.
