"Y/N, you know how busy I am---"

"I know, Tony. But can't you just spend a little bit of your time with me?"

You spoke gently, a small smile was painted on your face. You didn't mean to create a fight at midnight, you were just trying to talk to him.

Tony laughed bitterly and glared daggers at you. Your smile fell when he wanted to walk out of the room and to his lab, you expected.

"Tony, wait---"

He groaned and turned around to look at you. You knew he was tired, and you didn't want him to get sick. You fiddled with your fingers and tried to smile.

"You have to rest, Tony. You've been working non stop and this is killing you!"

You were beyond worried about him. But he seemed not caring about that. He scoffed and shook his head in disagreement.

"You know what has been killing me?"

He smirked. You tilted your head a bit and frowned. His next word was unexpected, and you never knew he would say that to you.

"You."

He spat spitefully. Your eyes grew wide and your frown didn't leave your face.

"You've been killing me, Y/N with all of your nagging. You're suffocating me!"

He started to yell and that wasn't good. You flinched slightly when he yelled but he didn't mind it tonight.

"I love you, Tony. I'm worried about you."

Your voice cracked and you almost cursed yourself at the vulnerablity that you were showing.

"Tony, please---"

"What do you know, Y/N? You just know how to be a spoiled brat and you want cuddles and kisses all the time! Do you think I have time for your shits?"

He screamed at your face. You were taken aback, tears welled in your eyes. You just wanted him to take a break from his work and get a rest. That was all you wanted.

"Tony, I just.. This is about you."

You said almost in a whisper, your strength had flew away when Tony was screaming at you.

"No, Y/N. It's always about you, and you alone."

He hissed between his gritted teeth. You sucked in a deep breathe and tried to be patient.

"Get out."

He said casually, as if it didn't hurt you. You were flabbergasted but you knew he was serious by the look in his eyes.

"Tony, what---"

"I want you to leave and never come back again."

That was it. He snapped and you decided it was enough. If he wanted you to leave, then so be it. You didn't want to be a burden in his life anymore.

"I hope you regret this."

Your words were poisonous, and Tony felt his body weakened as the words rolled out of your tongue. He wanted to stop you, but he didn't.

...

Tony was a mess after you left. He had no one to comfort him, and no one to hold him. He was alone, or at least, he thought he was alone.

His friends tried to help but they just couldn't. Tony loved you too much but he let you go. They kept encouraging him to find you but he always said the same thing:

"She will never take me back."

It was odd to walk into his room and realised your things were gone. The usual sight of you reading at the balcony has disappeared. His bed was cold and he couldn't remember when was the last time he had slept.

He didn't see those things he would missed before but now he did. When you were gone, he knew a part of him was gone with you.

He knew you were still there somewhere, waiting for him to call. But he just couldn't. Tony knew, once you walked out of his life you won't walk back in again.

"Tony, you have to eat."

Pepper's voice shook him out of his train of thoughts. He sighed and shook his head. The woman frowned slightly.

"You've been like this for weeks, Tony. You can't continue doing this to yourself."

She put a hand on his shoulder. Tony looked her in the eyes and she reminded him of how you used to care about him. He chuckled sadly and nodded.

But Pepper wasn't you.

...

Six years had passed and Tony wasn't fully got over you. It was foolish for him to remember someone who might had move on but he loved to stay that way.

He loved to live in your memories.

So today he got a strength that was never in him before. He stepped at the park where you used to go with him. All of these years, he wanted to come here so bad but whenever he did, he felt his heart was ripped out of his chest when he remembered you.

You and him used to come to this park in the morning and sometimes in the evening. He plastered a smile on his face and started to stroll around the park.

He stopped when he saw a boy fell on the ground and started to cry. Tony went to the small boy and helped him up.

"Are you okay?"

His voice was laced with concern. The boy wiped his tears away and nodded.

"Where is your mom?"

He asked. Something inside of him stirred when he looked at the boy. His eyes reminded him of his own brown orbs. His hair colour was the same as the billionaire's. Perhaps it was a normal sight, but there was something--- pulling him towards the boy when he fell down.

"What's your name?"

"Thomas!"

Tony's heart clenched when he heard that voice. The boy looked up and smiled when he saw his mother. Tony turned around and his heartbeat almost stopped. It was your voice. It was you.

"Thomas, where did you go? Please do not worry me like that again."

You hugged your son and took his hand in yours. You wanted to thank the man who was with your beloved son but your smile dropped when you were face to face with Tony Stark himself.

"Y/N.."

Tony was at loss of words, just like you. It had been six long years without you. Finally he got to see you again. It felt as if the air that he was breathing in was fresher than before.

"Hi, Tony."

You breathed out, unconsciously tightened your grip on your son's hand. Tony smiled, and after six years, he smiled genuinely. A smile that was special for you.

"It's been too long."

He chuckled under his breathe. You nodded and bit your lip. This was unexpected. You had been in this park so many times before but you had never bump into him.

"So your name is Thomas?"

Tony asked your son. The small boy smiled and nodded. Tony's heart bloomed, Thomas inherited your radiant smile. A smile that always managed to make Tony smiled as well.

Tony didn't want to ask you but Thomas really reminded him of.. Himself. When he was a kid. The look in your eyes was odd, almost guilty. Tears filled in your eyes as you realised Tony was looking at your son with interests.

"Y/N, do you have something to tell me?"

Tony asked softly, his eyes never leaving yours. You looked at him, his heart fluttered at how beautiful you looked.

"Thomas, do you want ice cream?"

You asked your son. He nodded and you gave him money and let him buy by himself. The ice cream stall wasn't far from where you were standing and you could watch him.

"Y/N.."

"I'm sorry, Tony but I was trying to tell you about it."

You said, tears welled in your eyes. Tony walked closer towards you and frowned. Your eyes was on Thomas, and Tony got the message.

"Thomas is my son?"

He was in doubt, but the pull towards the boy was too much for him to bear. You nodded and wiped a tear that started to roll down your face.

Tony gasped and tears started to fill his eyes. His head hurt when his brain started to remind him how he kicked you out of his place, while you were carrying his child.

"Oh, Y/N.. I'm so sorry. Why didn't you tell me?"

His voice cracked. He looked at Thomas and his heart clenched. He had missed so many moments in his son's life.

"You want me out of your life. I was a burden to you, Tony. I don't think you would accept if I come and bring another one in your life, would you?"

Tony was taken aback, but he didn't blame you for not letting him know about Thomas. You were hurt and dejected. Tony tried to reach out for you but you backed away.

"Y/N, please come back to me."

He almost begged at you. You shook your head and looked at your son with a smile as he came back with his ice cream.

"Forgive me, Tony. I can't."

"No, Y/N. I love you and I will always do. We--- We can rebuild our life together."

He wanted to take your hand in his but you stopped him before he did it. You sighed and looked down at your son.

"I'm not yours. Not anymore."

You whispered sadly. Tony almost cry when he thought that he would never be a part of your life. He looked at Thomas and he knew his son would never know him as a father.

"My husband knows about you. I believe he doesn't mind with you visiting Thomas. Thomas is your son, nothing can change that. But I'm not going to come back to you."

You said, noticing his eyes grew wide when he heard that you were married. His eyes landed on the ring on your finger. He knew he had lost you forever.

"You're--- You're married?"

Tony asked in disbelief. He was too late. He should've come sooner.

"She's married to me."

You smiled at your husband who just arrived there. He lifted Thomas up in his arms, making the boy laughed.

"I'm sorry I'm late."

Your husband said, kissing your cheek softly. Tony felt his soul was being crushed. You were married, and he was too late.

"Luke, this is Tony. And Tony, this is Luke, my husband."

You introduced them to each other. Luke smiled at you before looking back at the billionaire.

"I love Thomas like my own son, Stark. And I love Y/N with all of my heart. Don't you even think to take them away from me."

Luke's voice was soft, yet he was stern with his words. Tony nodded and he knew he was lost. This man had became your husband and he loved you, perhaps more than Tony ever could.

"Please take a good care of them. Don't break her heart like I did."

Tony said in anguished. Luke gave him a warm smile and nodded. Tony could tell he was a good man. The way your husband looked at you was so loving. You looked so happy with him.

"I love her very much, Stark. I will never hurt her."

Luke said, allowing a smile to crack on your lips. Tony was hurt, no, he was almost crying when he realised you were with someone else. He just discovered he had a son but he was too late.

Of course, he could meet Thomas whenever he wants but it won't be the same.

His heart screamed in agony when you walked away with the man of your dreams, Luke with Thomas in his arms. The gleam in your eyes showed how happy you were and he couldn't be happier for you.

Tony just had to live with your memories now.
