It's close to the time you are suppose to meet Tom and so Maria makes you arrive early. You groan at her, she rolls her eyes..you really didn't want to go alone.

"Doll you will be fine! He's a very nice guy don't worry"

"But you know how I get around new people Maria, I get so nervous I just say stupid shit at the top of my head without thinking"

"Oh he's not gonna judge you, He's very nice I'm sure of it. Plus you're beautiful in that dress so I'm pretty sure much talking won't be needed" she wiggles her eyebrows at you. Causing you to smack her on her arm.

"Ow! You monster" she feigns being hurt and holds onto her arm as if you just cut it off.

"That's for today and don't be dramatic you nut case" you giggle at her dramatic moments. It's made you laugh even when you're down which you were thankful for.

"Ha! well this nut case is leaving you for that sandwich. Now wait here and be yourself"

Being yourself is the lame way being someone you're not is better

Hmm nah I'm being myself you stupid self voice

But then how will he want you?

That's true..but I know he will see I'm
Different

"Doll?" Maria is waving in front of your face. Which you were too zoned out to notice.

"Yeah?"

"Don't listen to those negative thoughts okay? I know you, and if you guys have a connection from this then don't stop being yourself when you're with him. If he doesn't see what an amazing person you are then he wasn't worth your time"

You smile at Maria, she's always been good to you even when other kids in school would tell her to leave you alone.

"I will, thanks love"

"Love you doll!" She hugs you tightly. The smell of cotton candy invaded your nose. She always smells like food.

"Love you too hooker" she leaves you to go and hide to keep a watch over you incase anything happens. Sure she believes Tom to be a good guy but she knows you, so she wants to be nearby if anything happens.

You wait on a cold leather chair and decide to finish the rest of your book. Books really were fun to you, way better than phones were. About two hours or so pass by and there's lesser people at the convention than earlier, you were close to the end of your book and was wondering if maybe you made a mistake.

Maybe he was just being nice when he said he would meet me..

I'll just head on back to Maria..I knew not to wait here.

The moment you remove yourself from your seat, you thought you were hearing things.

"(Y/n?)" The voice sounded breathless and cracked a little.

You stopped dead in your tracks. Then turn and see it's Tom. His hair is still neat as it was before but his clothes were a bit ruffled up. You realize hes right in front of you and now you were nervous when you saw him.

"Yeah?" Surprised that your voice didn't stutter.

"I'm terribly sorry to have made you wait, I had trouble looking for you. Shall we go?" He stretches his arm out for you, you didn't understand the gesture as mimicked his action as well.

"Is this some kind of game you play to give me a head start?" You ask as you tilt your head in confusion. Tom stares with the similar look as your own and once he realized your misunderstanding he started to smile.

He has such a charming smile..oh dear pizza..😳

"No I would like to see this as me being a gentleman and escorting a beautiful lady to our destination" you were dumbfounded and panicked at how you looked in front of him.

"I-I'm not.." you whisper but gave up explaining his wrong choice of words. Then Tom takes a hold of your hand and wraps it around his own, leading you out the convention and towards a private car he had waiting for him.

Suddenly a baseball flies through the air and was heading in both of your direction. You felt the need to instinctively pull Tom close to you with your back against the car door and embrace him shielding his body against the car from the hard ball that flew past his head by a mere few inches. Maria and Tom were dumbfounded at what just happened, but you were used to your weird reflexes you've had eversince you were a kid.

"(Y/n)?" Tom whispers in your embrace, he didn't want to let go. Flustered at what you just did you nervously let go and hop into the car as if your bum lit on fire. You didn't see Tom's face flustered, but he did see yours. He found you quite intriguing.

"Oh come on girl Tom totally digs you! Go for it!" Maria squeals in excitement as she watches the whole thing.

She believes you were a ninja in another lifetime whenever you would protect her from balls during games like softball or dodgeball. It was as if you knew where they were gonna hit and no one could explain why, but that was one of the things that makes you unique to her and now to Tom as well.

While you and Tom sat in his car, you stared out the window to your left at the trees and all the buildings and people around. Studying people and places was one of your quirks that Maria and your family knew of but you liked that part of yourself sometimes. Tom couldn't help but watch you in awe as you smile staring at something you saw, he found you breathtaking.

"What's wrong?" You notice in the reflection of your window that Tom's been staring at you for a while. Too nervous to look at him as you spoke, you decided to stay still as to keep your eyes away from him.

"Forgive me for saying this but I find you rather..bewitching to say the least" he whispers in a low sultry voice.

"There is nothing bewitching about me sir"

"Well..I may not know much about you now but I would-" he is stopped abruptly by his driver/bodyguard.

"We have arrived sir" Tom coughs and answers with a 'thank you' then proceeds to step out of the car to escort you out first. Again held his arm out for you to take, you were dumbfounded about what Tom said earlier but complied and let him lead you.

But what you saw what unlike anything you could've guessed. You saw a large building that looked like any other fancy hotel but inside was a bit different...

*i hope you're enjoying the story so far! Sorry but I'm terrible at describing buildings (and decorations inside of them) and such so imagine what you would like to see where Tom's taken you, it's suppose to be a Hotel where he stays at after a convention.
