Haze

I smirked when she finished signing the papers. Little did she know, I'll be keeping it for future purposes. I'll make sure to make that paper legal when I finish wohoo-ing her.

"In your wildest dreams, Hail Zenon." iritado niyang saad at umirap sa akin. I just smirked then took the paper while teasingly looking at her.

"Then, see you there, Mrs. Nuevo." I laughed after I said that. She just threw a pillow into my face and stormed to the kitchen.

I let her have her time in the kitchen and just leaned back to relax my back. I closed my eyes and let myself enjoy the silence. Not until I felt some weight on my lap.

I can already tell without opening my eyes who is on my lap. I felt her move a little bit, trying adjust on my lap so I decided to move my hand, catch her waist towards me with eyes closed.

"Haze," Her sweet and soothing voice lingered my ears with her breath I can feel that's near my face too.

"Hmm," I just hummed as an answer and rub her waist I'm still holding.

I didn't get a response after that. Instead, I felt her lips rubbing into mine. It felt so good to be intimate with her like this that I can feel my chest, ready to burst out with so many emotions clouding it.

After a not so long time of us in silence, I felt her push herself into mine, nuzzling on to my chest to be exact. A moment after that, I felt no movement so I decided to open my eyes and check on her. And there, I saw her sleeping peacefully in my arms.

I slowly moved, not wanting to wake her up in her deep slumber and tucked her towards my body more. I changed her position on my arms, carried her in a bridal style and started to walk on the bedroom's direction.

After successfully making it to the bedroom, I placed her on the bed and kissed her forehead. I, then, layed down beside her and cuddled her. I nuzzle into her neck and can't help myself but bite her there.

"hmm.." I heard her groan as I bit her neck gently. I chuckled and stopped there to not interrupt my woman's sleep and just hugged her.

A moment after, I just felt my eyes closed and didn't realize that I slept beside her.

I'M NOW HERE at the hospital, waiting for the doctor to come out. Fuck, I can't distinguish what I really feel at the moment. I am nervous because Martella, my wife, is inside the operating room, giving birth to our child.

Pagkatapos kasi nang pagsigaw niya kanina para sabihing manganganak na siya ay dali-dali akong gumalaw, natataranta pa nga, para dalhin siya sa ospital ora-mismo.

Now that we're here, hindi ako mapakali. It's been what, 3 hours of me being here sa waiting room. Namamawis na yata ang kilikili ko sa kaba at excitement.

I was about to walk back and forth again but didn't had the chance to when the doctor came out of the operating room, walking towards my direction. Sinalubong ko naman ito at dali-daling nagtanong.

"Doc, how's my wife? my child? How are they? Is everything fine? fuck, I think, I need to be inside and be with my wife-" The doctor cut me off and said things that made me feel alot of emotions.

"You're wife's fine, Madame Nuevo. Baby boy's a healthy child. We'll send Mrs. Nuevo to the private room as well as the baby. Just give us time to clean them both. Congratulations, Madame." After that, she excused herself and left me standing there with so many emotions to feel.

I am now a parent. Wow. I already have a child.. with Martella. Fuck. I suddenly felt my knees wobbled a little bit but I tried to stand strongly and walk towards the chair to calm myself. After that I decided to go and wait for my gems in the private room.

HALF AN HOUR HAD PASSED and i heard a knock on the door. I immediately open it and there I saw Martella in deep slumber while being pushed on the hospital cot. My heart is filled with so much love as I saw her tired sleeping face, obviously because of giving birth.

I helped the nurses with my wife and  tucked her in to the private room's hospital bed. After the nurses leave the room, I closed the door and sat on her bedside. I reached for her hand, caressed and kiss it. Whispering my thank you, sorry and other affirmative words.

"Thank you for giving birth to our child, mahal. I am so proud of you. I love you.." Paulit-ulit kong bulong sa kaniya habang hinahalik-halikan ang kaniyang kamay.

I stayed by her side and just wait until she wake up. I stared at her and caress her face gently. It must be really hard for her to give her that I can truly see the exhaustion through her face.

A knock pulled me from my thoughts. And as soon as I open the door, I saw my child being carried by the nurses. Ito na naman 'yong malakas na kabog ng puso ko at ang mga emosyong lumulukob sa akin.

"Good day, Ma'am. Baby boy Nuevo is here already. Gising na po ba si Missus Nuevo?" bati at tanong ng nurse. Umiling ako rito bilang sagot.

"No. She's still asleep. Do you need something from her or maybe I can do it? Do I need to wake her up?" sunod-sunod na tanong ko. Tila natataranta na sa kung ano ang gagawin.

Natawa naman ang nurse at sinabing kumalma ako.

"Ma'am, kalma lang po. Hindi naman po kailangan ora-oradang gisingin si Missus."

Pagkatapos no'n ay tinuro niya ang orasan at sinabing kailangang gisingin ang asawa ko pagkaraan ng kalahating oras para padedehin ang anak namin. Inexplain din nito ang mga kailangan kong gawin at marami pang iba.

Ibinigay na rin nito ang papel na kailangang fill up-an sa lalong madaling panahon. Ito yata 'yung birth certificate ng bata.

After all of those, finally, the nurse went out and layed my son on his crib near his mother. I walked towards their direction and stared at both of them. This scene feels like a dream and I can't help myself being emotional. The baby's cooing and making little cute noises that's making me chuckle quietly.

When I finally had the courage to hold my son in my arms, I carried him and that's the most wonderful thing I did in my whole life.

"You look exactly like your mommy, my love." I whispered while looking at him lovingly. He just made a cute noise and moves. I chuckled and kissed his forehead gently before placing him back on his crib.

The moment I placed our son back to his crib, I saw Martella staring at us quietly with a tired-but-had-a-rest face. I attend to her immediately.

"Love," I said and smiled at her. She smiled back and held my hand.

"Hey.." she said lowly and gently.

"How are you feeling, my love?" I said as I lowered my body and give her forehead a kiss.

"Para akong sumabak sa sack race for 3 consecutive days, Haze.." natatawa ngunit nanghihina niyang sabi. Napailing-iling na naman ako sa sinabi niyang iyon.

Kahit kailan talaga ay nagagawa niyang i-lift ang mood. That's one of the reason why she's my sunshine.

"You'll be needing alot of rest then, my love." It was not a suggestion but a statement of fact she'll be doing.

Nakita ko namang tumawa siya nang mahina ay inabot ang mukha ko't hinaplos iyon.

"So bossy as ever," she said then pinched my cheek a little. I just smiled and looked at her. Tangina, ang ganda talaga niya

Magsasalita pa sana ako nang marinig ko ang mahinang boses ng anak namin. Tila nagrereklamo at bakit hindi siya pinapansin. Nagkatinginan naman kami ni Martella at sabay tumawa ng mahina. Binigyan ko siya ng isang marahang halik sa labi bago pumunta sa anak ko at buhatin ito't bumalik sa pwesto ni Martella.

I placed our son in her arms and kisses her forehead afterwards.

"Haze.." madamdamin niyang tawag sa akin.

Agad kong itinuon ang pansin ko sa kaniya at doon ay nakita ko siyang tahimik na humihikbi habang nakatingin sa anak naming nasa bisig niya ngayon.

"He's so beautiful.." banggit niya habang papalakas na ang hikbi nito.  Agad ko siyang dinaluhan at inalo.

"I know, babe. Thank you for giving birth to our son." with that, I give her a gentle and tender kiss on her lips that she reciprocate.

It made me reminisce on what we have said back then.

"Haze.." I heard Martella called me while she's on top of me. Don't get me wrong but we are not doing it now. She just wanted to be on top while we rest.

"Yes, love?" I response through her calling.

I saw her grunted and smack my arms which I just laughed about. She's so grumpy. Na kahit tawagin ko lang siya sa ayaw niyang tawag ay inis na kaagad siya.

"Shut up. I told you already to stop calling me that!" She then sat on top of me and jokingly choke me.

It was just an unintentional move yet it gave me a different sensation. I tried to disregard that sensation and laugh it off.

"Come on, love. You were saying something. I wanna know that, please?"

I diverted the topic and focus on her. Her face got so serious and was about to get off of me but I didn't let her.

"I.. I just want to ask something- if it's okay with you. No worries, I won't force you to say something you don't like." she said, explaining.

The whole time she's speaking, I was just staring at her. She has this aura that if she speak, you'll have no choice but to be attentive. Well, for me, that's how it is.

"Hmm. Go on, I'm listening." I replied.

"What did you feel when you found out about your condition? That you have a genitals that isn't usually for a female?" she was hesitant at first but then continued to ask me. I stared at her face and think of an answer.

"Honestly, It was very hard for me. Well, you know, nasa Pilipinas tayo. Masyadong madaming close-minded na tao rito kaya mahirap makipagsabayan. So many unsolicited opinions are thrown to you. Too much of freedom of speech, I guess. Pero this condition of mine just thought me that kung wala namang dulot sa'yo 'yung tao, bakit ko pakikinggan ang sinasabi nito? Though, I won't be hypocrite, I sometimes still get affected by those opinions kahit sabihin kong hindi na dapat pang pakinggan."

After that, I smiled at her and carresed her waist. She was just staring at me after what I said that made me worried.

"What? Did I say something wrong, love?" I said worried at her silence. "Come on, say something-" I was cut off by her, kissing me on the lips without a warning.

I was shocked for a while but reponsed on her kiss afterwards. She pulled off the kiss and layed on top of me. This action of her made my heartbeat fast.

"You're so strong, Haze. I admire you. I'm so proud of you." she whispered on my chest while tracing a finger on it a bit.

My mouth parted on what I heard and many emotions came out for me to feel.

"Thank you for sharing me your story, Haze. Thank you for trusting me with it. And I'm sorry you had to experience those thing." She added. I can't help it already, I decided to sat down on the bed. With that action, she got dragged to sit too.

"Haze? Wha-why-" I cut her off when I rolled us both and now I'm on top of her already.

"You're so beautiful, Martella. You're words are so wonderful too that it makes me want to just impregnant you. So that's what I'm gonna do, babe. Hang in there, little one. We're gonna make you already." With that, I gave her a passionate and tender kiss that leads to making love with her.

Fuck, this woman is what I wanted to be with the rest of my life.
