She was standing near the closed store and just then she heard some sound and she realised it was coming from below the rack which had so many old things on it.

Ekantha slowly yet carefully bent to see what was there. When she looked there, it was a small puppy hiding inside with a scared look on its face.

Unknowingly a small smile crept on her face, she tried to remove the puppy from inside but she was afraid she would hurt it. She looked around for some help, but found none.

Having no other option, she tried her best to remove the puppy from the rack. The puppy snuggled into her trying to find some warmth.

She stood up with the puppy in her arms and started patting it's head slowly making it feel like it is in safe hands.

"Hey, Hi! ",Abhi was just there and when she saw her holding a puppy he was surprised.

"Wow, where did you find it?",he asked.

"It was below the rack, isn't it so cute?",she asked looking at the puppy with admiration.

"It is, do you like puppies?",he asked.

"Haven't ever had a chance to think about something like that, but I was never scared of them though",Ekantha replied still looking at the puppy.

This little creature just stole her entire heart and she couldn't leave it anytime soon.

"Here I got these flowers for you",he said and she noticed he had a small yet beautiful bouquet in his hand.

"Abhi, thank you so much for this",she said taking the flowers from him.

"Can I ask you something?",she said in a meek voice.

"Yes, jaan! You don't need to ask to ask something",he said.

"Why do you always give me flowers?",she asked out of curiosity.

"Umm..a tricky question. Ever noticed the type of flowers I give you?",he asked and she nodded in no.

"Well, then maybe you should ask Emma about it and you'll get your answer",he said chuckling.

Both of them walked till his bike which he borrowed from Rehman for the night and promised him he would pick him up the next morning.

"What are you going to do with this, then?",he asked as they stood leaning to the bike.

"I don't know, but I don't feel like leaving it anytime soon. But I can't give more trouble to Vennela by bringing another member",she said sadly looking at the puppy.

As though the puppy understood what Ekantha was speaking, it moved closer and snuggled into her holding onto her arms strongly.

"I don't want to leave you either, little one! Let me think of a solution",Ekantha said looking at it.

"Seems like it loves you too much for a first meeting. You two are destined",Abhi said smiling.

She didn't know what else she could do, Abhi had an idea but he wanted her to come out with a solution on her own. She kept thinking of all the possible persons she could possibly leave her new friend with but none seemed to be feasible, either they were scared or she was scared.

"Do you need some help in thinking about it, Ammu?",he asked to which he nodded.

"I don't have an option, but I can't leave this little pup either. Help me please",she said almost in tears.

"Are you crying? Oh god! No, you wouldn't have to leave this pup. Trust me!",he said cupping her face in his hands.

"But where will I keep it? I don't even have a place for it",she said as tears slipped down her eyes.

"Why do you think so? I'm still here, you see! And as long as I am here you wouldn't have to worry about something like this",he said assuring her.

"But, how will you? I didn't even ask you if you like it? What if you hate pets? And puppies?",she said voicing out her thoughts.

"Well, if I did then I wouldn't be here. Would I? I love puppies too and one thing that was always on my bucket list was to adopt a pup with my better half and I think it's happening",he said as she lifted her head looking into his eyes.

"Can we adopt our first pet, kanna?",he asked looking straight into her eyes and she nodded with tears in her eyes.

He side hugged her, while the little puppy was in her arms but looking at the man in front of its eyes. Confirming, if he was safe. It didn't move towards Abhi instantly like it did with Ekantha.

Abhi was sure that one day, they would be best friends and they might have just needed some time that's all.

"Are we ready to be pet parents?",he asked to which she nodded vigorously standing on her toes and reaching to his height wrapping her arm around his neck with a wide smile on her face.

"Uh oh, she doesn't want to share your attention with anyone else, I see",he said and both of them chuckled.

She moved away, and he took the puppy in his arms trying to familiarize with her. Yes, it is a her!

"What do you want to name her as?",Ekantha asked looking at the duo with great admiration.

"You choose",he said slowly patting her head.

"Well, if you said we both are the parents. We both should be keeping her name together right?",she said.

"Makes sense, let me think",he said thinking about names that they could name their first ever kid.

"Cinnamon or Tara? I think Tara suits more, you found her in the dark night like a star which means Tara",Abhi suggested.

"That's a fantastic choice! I couldn't think of something like that, but now I can't think of a better name than Tara",she said.

"Are you sure? We can still look into some more options",he said finding his phone in his pocket.

"I don't think we can find a better name than Tara for her and I don't think I can find a better, better half than you",she confessed as his ears turned red and blood rushed upto his cheeks.

"I.. Can I take a picture of you two?",he asked and she nodded.

Guiding them for a pose, he took out his camera and ran to a minimum distance to click a picture of them.

"A family photo as well, please",Ekantha asked and he acted like he was confused.

"I mean, a photo of us three as well",Ekantha said trying to hide her face and failed miserably.

He put the camera nearby rack and set it on timer, quickly running back to his little family he smiled and just when the trio was ready, so was the timer and boom their first family picture was here.

"And now hold on tight, we gotta go home, Tara",Abhi said.

"Wuv",Tara slowly murmured earning giggles from her parents.

"We wuv you too",Abhi said and got onto the bike.

Ekantha got onto the bike as well holding little Tara in her arms. Ekantha wrapped her pallu around Tara so that she feels warm.

They had to go to his home first and then to hers since he can't hold Tara while driving back and he didn't get his car.

On their way back home, they had some small talks regarding work and Ekantha's day.

After around half an hour, they reached his home. Ekantha got down the bike while he parked it. He held her hand and walked into his home which would soon be their home.

He knocked on the door and as usual, Mayuri opened the door. She was surprised seeing Ekantha and also Tara in her hands.

"OMG, Amma! Anni is here! Come in, Anni. Who is this cutie pie in your hands?",she said as the three of them stepped in.

Vishalakshi stepped into the living room and she was equally surprised to see Ekantha and Tara. She gave a questioning look to Abhi who was standing behind them.

"Amma, actually Ekantha found Tara nearby her workplace and we decided to adopt her. Long story short, here we are with Tara! She'll be staying with us",he announced just then Virendra entered the living room as well.

Ekantha quickly handed Tara to Abhi.

"Namasthe uncle",Ekantha said and bent to touch Virendra and Vishalakshi's feet to take their blessings.

"Stay blessed and happy always, dear",Virendra said.

"May God bless you and may you reach all your dreams and come home soon, kanna",Vishalakshi said and patted her cheeks gently with a warm smile on her face.

"Aunty, uncle I hope you don't have any problem with Tara",Ekantha said.

"Ayyo, we don't have any problem kanna! Don't worry! Moreover, we're happy to get two new members into the family at a time",Vishalakshi said.

"Thank you so much, aunty",she said.

"Now that I can finally call you anni, Thank you anni, for making my dream come true. You know, when nobody is there for you these little creatures no matter if they turn so huge also, they stick to our side and now that I finally have a puppy in my home I can finally be at peace",Mayuri said to which Ekantha smiled.

"Amma, it's getting late. Both of us have work tomorrow and the earlier she reaches home the earlier she sleeps. She needs to rest well for a new day",Abhi said as Ekantha looked at his side.

"Oh yes, don't worry! We'll celebrate Tara's arrival this weekend",Vishalakshi said.

Soon after bidding bye to them, Abhi took his car keys and Tara along with them.

"Tara is coming with us?",she asked.

"Of course, Tara is coming to drop her mamma home",he said..
