She looked at her text and kept a hand on her heart. It was racing like she is running in a marathon. She kept her phone aside unwillingly and went to freshen up. It was 5pm and her mom was asleep. She made some coffee for herself and sat near the garden in her home.

Her phone was just beside her, and it buzzed. She opened it to see if it was from Abhi, but unfortunately it was from Asmita she opened the text and it had some work related information which she needed to work on at home as well.

She completed drinking her coffee while spending time with her dear plant friends. She was checking if there was any message from Abhi time to time. She got back to her room and started working on her laptop, she had a few things to mail and a few things to send and take permissions from as well.

Every time the phone buzzed, her heart rate would go very high and when she notices it's not from the person whom she was expecting she keeps the phone back on the table.

On the other side, Abhi was totally occupied with work. His team got a project for the wedding with all the rituals and post wedding as well. Along with Kinnera, he was searching for locations. He didn't have time to check his phone.

It was late in the evening and they still got few locations to check out, he asked Kinnera to go back home and he would cover the rest of them accordingly before he heads back to office and get them into his laptop.

He opened his phone to see a few texts from multiple people, but the one from Ekantha aka Ammu caught his attention. He quickly opened it and reading the last part of the message, his heart wasn't in its place. He was standing on the road and smiling ear to ear. He quickly typed back to her.

You don't have any idea, what your words make me go like! I missed you too ammu, sorry for the late reply. Had to go check locations for an upcoming wedding. So far day was tiring but this text from you made it fly all the tiredness 😁, I'll be late to home today maybe. I sent Kinnera home as it's going to be night soon. I'll go check out few locations and head to office to put all the things into my laptop and then head home. You better take care of yourself, Eat your dinner, don't be workaholic on the second day of your work itself 😉 Gotta go, bye!

He sent a long text to her, if it was usual he preferred calls over texts because he believes calls make you feel the other person's emotions better. But, keeping his work on top priority for now he decided to leave her a text, moreover he didn't knew if she was comfortable with calls or not. At that moment he smacked himself for thinking a lot about the text he just sent a few seconds ago.

After Kinnera's brother came to pick her up, he drove to the locations to take in some details regarding them as well as see how much they cost per a fortnight/a week. He had to visit 3 locations and one was nearby to his office so he decided to visit that one at the end.

On the other hand, Ekantha was waiting for his reply, when she saw the message from him she smiled wide and opened it as quickly as possible. It was a long text and she loved reading long texts. She understood he was busy and decided not to disturb him. Her heart was overwhelmed by his simple gesture.

This was them, a simple small gesture from each other made them happiest people.

Ekantha wrapped up her work by 8pm and went to the living room to find her father watching news and her mother cutting vegetables. She went and settled down on the single couch.

"Kanna, do you want anything?",Kanyaka asked.

"Nope maa, should I help you with this?",she asked pointing out towards the vegetables.

"Nope, I can manage. You relax kanna",she said.

"Give me maa, I am done with work, I can do this. How will I manage alone if you go somewhere?",Ekantha said and took the vegetables and knife from her mother's hand.

"Dear, Abhi's parents told me about you both taking a week more time and we visiting them. Is everything okay?",her father asked this time.

"Appa, we're working on us and it's like we don't want to take a wrong decision and regret it all our life",she said and he nodded.

"We're going on Monday evening to their home",he said and both Ekantha and Kanyaka nodded.

They had their dinner together and watched television together while watching a comedy show. After sometime they retired to their respective bedrooms to call it a night.

Ekantha sat on her table which was beside her bed and opened her diary to write it. The diary was her constant buddy. No matter how many ups and downs Ekantha faced everything was there in that diary.

From the past few days, whenever she wrote her diary there was a glint of smile on her face, she wished this beautiful dream could just never end at all.

Right now, even though both of them didn't take a decision they were happy with what they shared with each other.

Later, Abhi came home all tired. His mother was still up and Mayu was studying for her exams while his father was fast asleep.

"Amma, why are you up still? I told you I would be late, you should have slept. You'll spoil your health",he said while going to his room to freshen up.

It was quarter to 11pm in the night, he freshened up and looked at his phone to see if there was any reply but there was just a thumbs up and a smiley face. He chuckled and quickly changed his clothes.

"How was your day kanna?",she asked.

"Tiring but good amma, Mayu is still up?",he asked looking the light switched on in her room.

"Yeah, she said she was revising for her boards",his mom said and he nodded.

Once he completed his dinner, he went to his sister's room to find her revising about things.

"Hey, what's up anna?",she asked.

"Here is your coffee, study hard and make me proud dear chellamma (younger sister)",he said and both of them heard someone clearing throat and looked in that direction.

"Both of you stay like this forever",it was their mother and both of them chuckled.

"Hey kutty(little one) don't stay up after 1 and sleep well as well don't stress out too much I don't want people talking that Abhi's sister has 50 shades of dark circles under her eyes",he said and she hit him with the pillow.

"Enough enough both of you, Abhi you go back to sleep and Mayu you carry on dear",their mother said and both of them obeyed her words like obedient children.

On the other hand, Ekantha slept at 10pm 🕙. He texted her back telling her he would pick her up the next morning.

Abhi closed his eyes and drifted off into sleep without rolling on bed for long times. Advantage of being tired.

The next morning, Ekantha followed her routine and called him up when he texted her good morning.

A : Good morning Ammu, what made you call me this early in the morning? I just woke up.

E : Good morning Abhi, I wanted to tell you to not to pick me up today and check on your work. Let's see how this long distance thing works?

A : Whoa, are you serious? But I am glad you understand the priority I give for my work. Also I want to tell you as much as priority work holds for me the same amount of priority. At the moment this is indeed a great opportunity for me to explore my career but then I can still manage to take some time out for my family and near and dear ones.

E : I know, I wanted to tell you to not to stress about..

A : About?

E : About you and me

A : I see, there is nothing to stress about us I hope. Moreover you are motivating me not nagging me for not giving you enough time.

E : I am habitual of being like this Abhi, so I won't nag you about this ever.

A : Ever?

E : uh..

A : Alright, alright I won't make it more awkward for you. Let's have a virtual date tonight what do you say?

E : Erm.. Virtual date?

A : Yep, if you're not comfortable it's fine.

E : Actually, let me try this too. Maybe a new experience.

A : Now that's like my girl!

Ekantha chuckled and they talked for some time about things. Abhi as usual tried to pull her leg but maintained his limits while doing so. Realizing that they were running late for work, they ended the call after wishing each other a good day ahead.
