•||Ch5: His cold behavior||•

||Mishal POV||

I woke up with a thick layer of sweat covered my face and uneven breath. The whole room was drown in darkness and the light of moon was entering in the room.

I sat on the bed and wiped my unknown tears. I tensed up when I heard shuffling around the room. I quickly towards my right side with fear and ran my hand on the side-table.

I turned the switch of the lamp on and released the breath which I was holding without knowing. He was looking at me with hard eyes.

“What are you doing?” He asked without an emotion.

“I.. Your mother moved my.. stuff h-ere. She was here when.. I was.. going to.. rest,” I answered him and shuttered in fear.

He looked at me with the same hard eyes then moved towards his closet and disappeared in it. I moved from the bed and stood up. I slowly made my way to the door.

“Where are you going?” I heard his voice from behind me.

I tensed up and turned around slowly. I looked at him and slowly from him to his clothes which were covered in blood. It wasn't for the first time I was seeing blood on him.

I saw him drenched in the blood of someone before. But again seeing him in blood was giving me goosebumps and shivers. I didn't notice when he reached to me and stood in front of me.

“I asked you. Where are you going?” He asked again, lowly.

But this time his voice was hard and cold. I looked back at him and gasped when I saw the anger in his eyes. It was terrified and scaring me.

“Ki-tc.. Kitchen,” I shuttered again and hated myself for scaring.

I didn't wait for him to say anything or ask anything. I turned around quickly and walked out of his room without wasting a second.

I went in the back garden and sat on the swing. I rubbed my arms and stared at the tree. I got up from the swing and went inside the house when I was shivering from the cold air of night.

I went in the kitchen and felt hunger again. I opened the fridge and pulled the ingredients out. I made bread chicken roll and went in the living hall with the plate in my hand.

I turned the small light on and sat on the couch. I slowly tried to eat it peacefully but thought about the nightmare that I saw didn't let me it ate in peace. I closed my eyes and exhaled slowly.

I finished it quickly and put the plate on the side. I looked at the stairs and bit my lip. I wasn't sure about going back up in his room. I was feeling tired and wanted to sleep but thinking about him made me stay back.

I took the plate and placed it in the kitchen. I slowly went up stairs but stopped when I reached up. I went to my left instead of going right. I took one of a guestroom and locked the door.

I laid on the bed with a sigh and closed my eyes. I let myself slipped in the darkness.

I woke up and sat on the bed slowly. I got up from the bed and went to the washroom. I washed my face and brushed my teeth with a spare toothbrush.

I exited from the washroom and tidy the room. Then I walked out of the room and went to the kitchen.

A smile stretched on my lips when I saw Kamal in the kitchen and mouthwatering smell was spread in the kitchen. He turned around when he heard my footsteps and his lips curled up in a smile similar to mine but his was big.

“So nice to see you again, ma'am!” He said.

I smiled back at him and sat on the chair in the kitchen. He turned around and went back to cook.

“I have a name,” I said.

“I know,” He said and turned around.

He put a plate in front of me and started cleaning the invisible mess, he created in the kitchen.

“Then call me with it,” I said and took a bite.

I started digging in and finished it. I stood up to wash the plate but he took it from me.

“Thank you!” I whispered sitting back.

After washing he came with a glass of fresh juice and handed me the glass. I frowned at the glass.

“Your mother’s in law order!” He said.

I smiled looking at glass. At least someone cared about me. I drank it and finished it.

“Where is my Son’s heart capturer?” I heard mom’s voice coming from the living hall.

“Name of the angel and angel is here!” Kamal whispered with a sly smirk.

I giggled and got up from the chair. I exited from the kitchen to the living hall and saw her standing there.

She quickly came to me and pulled me in a hug. She pulled away and I saw how much happiness were dancing in her eyes.

“How are you feeling?” She asked me and pulled me with her to the couch.

“A little tired,” I said, slowly.

We both sat down. Kamal entered in the living hall with a tray of glass of juice. Mom gladly accepted it.

“Do you have your juice?” She asked me.

I nodded my head and smiled. She took one sip then looked at me.

“Oh! I come here to take you to the hospital. For a proper check up. Go and quickly get ready,” She said.

Proper check up. My heart quickened on hearing it. But, nonetheless, I nodded my head and got up.

I went to Zayaan room and closed the door behind me. I paced here and there in the room and sat on the sofa when I felt dizzy and tired.

If she took me to the hospital then she may knew the truth. I saw my phone on the side-table. I picked it and dialed Zayaan’s number.

.........

“Speak!” His voice was angry.

But when he was not angry?

.........

“Your mother is taking me to the hospital,” I said in quiet voice.

.........

Go with her. I will have someone to handle everything.”

.........

Without waiting for any reply he hanged up. I sighed looking down at my phone and put it aside.

I quickly got up and changed my dress. I went down after getting ready. When I reached living hall, mom looked up at me and smiled.

She came to me and gave money to Rauza to distribute it in the poors and needy. We both walked out of the house to the car.

“Tell me honestly. How Zayaan is taking care of you?” She asked when driver started the car.

The last night flashed in my mind along with the night before our Nikkah. His hand drenching in blood. The anger and rage dancing in his eyes along with thirst. His cold behavior and hard eyes.

I snapped back to the reality when mom put her hand on my shoulder.

“He is not taking care of you? Right?” She asked again, sadly.

“No. Mom. He is taking good care of me,” I quickly said.

She looked at me and I knew she wasn't believing me cause she knew her son. But, nonetheless, she smiled.

Suddenly, the car stopped with a jerk. I and mom looked out of windows in panic and saw many black cars surrounded our car.
