Chapter Thirty Six

~Ellie's POV~

On the third day, the blonde-haired pussy cat, Pixie-Bob, informed everyone, with a look of pure mischief shot in my direction, that the classes would be pitted against one another in a test of courage. I had no idea what the hell that meant or why she was looking at me as she said it. The students began speculating, I heard the words 'haunted house' and blanched causing Pixie-Bob to giggle.

"What's the matter, Ellie-chan? Are you a scaredy cat?" She giggled causing the students to stop what they were doing and turn to us.

"Shut up!" I snapped and used a small gust of wind to topple her off the pile of boxes she was sitting atop of.

She hit the dirt with an unflattering 'oof' and rubbed her aching back as I stormed away, heading back to base camp in a huff. I didn't make it more than a few steps before a large black snake slithered out of the forest on the path ahead of me. My body froze and I held my breath hoping it would keep going. As if sensing my terror, it turned its ugly head to me and flicked its tongue.

I screamed in terror and turned and bolted off the path away from the snake. My skin crawled as I fought my way through the thick forest. All my rationality flew out the window as pure fight or flight kicked in.

"Ellie?!" I heard the panicked shouts of Aizawa and the students on high alert from my scream.

"She's that way!" I heard the voice of the green haired pussycat, Ragdoll. She had a quirk, search, that allowed her to monitor up to 100 people at a time and know their status, weaknesses and location. "Moving Fast!"

"Ellie!" I heard voices approaching fast behind me and nearly jumped as a boy with dark hair and glasses caught up to me.

"Oh good, you're okay." He matched my pace, "Why are we running?"

"I saw a snake!" I snapped nearly causing him to trip.

"What?! So why are we still running?!" He asked confused.

"It probably has friends!"

"What?! That's ridiculous! Can we stop running, please?!"

I skidded to a stop and Glasses breathed a sigh of relief as he stopped beside me. "If you say a word about this to anyone, you're going flying." My face flushed scarlet. "Just tell everyone I'm fine it was a false alarm." I grumbled before disappearing in the wind.

I returned to base camp and started on lunch and making snacks for everyone. After about fifteen minutes, Aizawa showed up to question me about what had happened. I pushed him away from me with a gust of wind before he could question me.

"I don't want to talk about it!" I snapped, feeling embarrassed by what had happened. Whenever snakes were involved, I forgot how to function and just followed my most basic instinct of scream and run.

"Why the hell did you scream?" He sighed as he dropped into an empty chair at one of the tables, he'd been staying up till two in the morning with the students who'd failed the exam giving them supplemental lessons and getting up at five to start everyone's training.

"I saw a snake, it made me panic and act irrationally." I huffed causing him to snicker.

"I guess that's why you seemed annoyed by the test of courage."

"Shut up." I grumbled.

"I've seen you reduce buildings to rubble, catch bullets, and fight people double your size with zero hesitation or fear, and you scream like a little girl and run from snakes." He laughed.

"Sh-shut up!" I snapped.

"It's cute." He chuckled.

"It's. Not. Cute!" I stammered as I stomped my foot.

"You're such a child." He sighed as he got up and ruffled my hair.

I punched him in the gut causing him to double over and nearly collapse on the ground. "I can still kick your ass."

"I remember owing you some payback." Aizawa coughed as he got to his feet, "I think you should participate in this test of courage with the students."

"I think you should walk away before I send you to Antarctica." I glowered.

Aizawa chuckled, "Have fun at the test of courage."

"I'm not doing it!" I stomped my foot again.

"Too bad." He smirked and turned to walk away.

"No!" I whined, "I d-don't like scary things!" Tears welled in my eyes and I wiped them away frustrated that I couldn't keep a grip on my emotions. "Stop it parasite, I'm angry why are you making me cry."

Aizawa turned around and his teasing smile fell as he saw the tears clinging to my pallid cheeks. He sighed and pulled me in for a brotherly hug, "Sorry, I didn't mean to upset you."

"Shut up, I don't want to cry I want to kick your ass!" I choked as the tears kept coming, "Baby Might is just confused! I'm not upset, I'm pissed off!" I tried furiously to wipe away my tears.

"Maybe you should call All Might, I'm sure he can calm you down." He pat me on the head before taking his leave.

Once he was gone, I tried once more to calm myself down, to no avail. I pulled out my phone and called Toshinori. He picked up before the phone even had a chance to ring and I smiled as I heard his panicked voice on the other end.

"Ellie?! Are you okay?! Is the baby okay?!" He cried.

"We're both fine. Stop panicking." I sniffled.

"Why does it sound like you've been crying?" He sounded worried.

"Aizawa made me cry."

"What?!" Toshinori actually sounded angry.

"I guess he didn't mean to." I grumbled.

"Oh, so maybe it's more like little Ellie is feeling overly emotional, like with that ice cream commercial." He pointed calming down quickly.

"Why would you bring that up?!" I cried as I thought back to the kid dropping his ice cream cone.

"Ah! I'm sorry! Don't cry!" Toshinori panicked and I could just see him running around the house frantically trying to pick up things he'd think would make me smile before realizing he was on the phone.

"I don't cry." I huffed as I dropped onto one of the benches in the empty dining hall and hugged my stomach with one arm as I laid my head atop the table and closed my eyes.

"Aside from Aizawa being mean, how is camp?" He asked me with a smile, I heard the faint whoosh of air as he dropped onto the cushion in the window in our bedroom. I smiled as I envisioned the view from our bedroom window and imagined me sitting on his lap watching the waves roll in.

"The kids are all tired and over doing it, so I'm playing doctor most of the time. A snake almost killed me-."

"What?!" He panicked.

"Okay...it just slithered in front of me, but I'm pretty sure it was going to eat me if I didn't run away."

Toshinori chuckled at this, "I'm sorry I wasn't there to save you."

"And Aizawa's trying to make me participate in some stupid test of courage thing tonight." I whined.

"Ellie doesn't like scary things." I could hear the frown in his voice. "I think I need to have a talk with Aizawa."

I laughed at this, "Toshinori, how come it sounds like you intend to have the kind of talks I have with people when I say that...using fists instead of words..."

"He made Ellie cry." He said simply.

"That still doesn't seem very symbol of peace like..."

"That doesn't matter if someone hurts you." Toshinori said seriously causing my breath to hitch in my throat, "I love Ellie most, I never want to see her hurt or upset."

Tears welled in my eyes as my heart swelled at his words. I choked back a sob, "I miss you."

"Only two more days and we can have a nice relaxing weekend and we have our ultrasound to look forward to next week." He tried to cheer me up sensing I was feeling homesick.

"How's the nursery?" I asked him curiously trying to think of happier things.

"I got all the furniture put together and when you get home you can tell me to rearrange it all as many times as you like." He chuckled.

My heart clenched, I missed him, I hated being away from him. "How many All Might posters are on the walls?" I asked with a somber smile.

"...Three..."

"That's not nearly enough." I giggled.

He chuckled, "What do you think it's going to be?"

"On three? We'll guess at the same time." I smiled.

Toshinori laughed but agreed and we counted down together.

"Boy." We both blurted simultaneously and laughed.

"Thanks, Toshi-chan. I feel better, now...I love you."

"I love you too, Ellie."

I reluctantly hung up the phone and took a deep breath before lifting my head. After hearing Toshinori's voice I felt a lot better and was able to get up, wipe away my tears and start preparing food for lunch. A few minutes later I got a text from Aizawa.

A: Why on earth did I just get a five-minute lecture from The Symbol of Peace that wasn't very peaceful sounding??

I couldn't help but laugh. Toshinori had actually called him to chew him out.

E: I have no idea to what you are referring, Senpai

A: You're a terrible influence.

By lunchtime more than half of the students had stopped by for some kind of first aid. They were all pushing themselves too hard but they all seemed excited about the test of courage planned for the evening. They were giving it their all, in true UA Plus Ultra fashion.

Pond Scum nearly tackled me at lunch time. I'd managed to dodge him and hold him back with my winds before shooting him a glare, "What the hell?!"

"I did it! I did a full transformation!" He grinned from ear to ear and struggled to push through my wind to hug me.

"Why the hell does that mean I get hugged?!" I snapped as I uselessly flapped my arms at my sides stuck in his bone crushing hug.

"Because, Ellie believed in me and gave me this opportunity to get better." Pond Scum beamed as he hugged me.

I couldn't reach the top of his head and settled on a shoulder pat, "There. There. Good job. Put me down."

After dinner, I set off to help with the supplemental classes as all the other students followed the pussycats to the forest for their silly test of courage. Knowing the students in the supplemental classes had been looking forward to the test of courage I baked them cookies. They all cheered as I stepped into the room with a plate of cookies.

"They don't get cookies." Aizawa interrupted the cheering.

"What?!" The students whined.

"Senpai, you want to fight me over it? They're getting the cookies. I made them cookies and they're not going to waste." I glowered.

"Ellie's the best!" Mina Ashido the teen with the fluffy pink hair and pale pink skin who resembled a cute alien cheered.

"The whole way here I was lecturing them about not getting treats, and you literally brought them treats." Aizawa groaned.

I set the plate of cookies down in front of the students. "They were all looking forward to taking a break with their friends in that stupid test of courage, let them have a damn cookie!" A strong wind raged past me and shoved him back a few paces.

He sighed, "Fine."

The students cheered and shared the plate of cookies.

"Ellie, you're really going to be a great mom, these cookies are the best." Mina beamed.

A shiver rolled down my spine as Mandalay, the brunette pussycat, used her telepathy quirk to contact everyone, "Everyone, we're being attacked by two villains! It's possible that there are more! Everyone who can move, get back to camp immediately. Even if you come across the enemy, retreat, do not engage!"

Aizawa caught me by the arm as I was about to fly out the door. "Vlad, I'm leaving things here to you." He shoved me toward the tall tan man with the white hair.

"Hey!" I snarled as Vlad struggled to get ahold of me.

"Ellie, you have the strongest offensive capabilities, I need you here to protect everyone when they arrive. This needs to be a safe place." Aizawa attempted to reason with me.

"It will be a safe place if I go out there and slaughter all the villains." I growled.

"Give me a little time, please, Ellie." He begged before turning and sprinting out of the room.

Vlad released me as I stomped on his foot and prepared to elbow him in the gut. "Aizawa is right, you're our strongest offense which means you're our greatest defense."

I sighed and folded my arms in front of my chest. My stomach churned unpleasantly, I had a bad feeling. "Fine, but if I feel like I'm needed elsewhere, I'm bolting, clear?"

Vlad nodded.

I heard a blast from the front of the building where Aizawa had just disappeared. "Shit." I dodged Vlad and bolted for the main door. There was a flurry of bright blue flames just outside the door. Did Aizawa get hit? "SHOTA!"

I barreled through the door executing a swift forward roll avoiding the flames and flipped to my feet lashing out around me with a torrent of shrieking gale force winds. Out of the corner of my eye I spotted Aizawa hanging onto the sign on the awning overhead. There was young man in his early twenties with dark hair, teal eyes and bits of mottled flesh that looked as if they were secured with medical staples under his eyes, covering the lower half of his jaw stretching down to his neck and even his arms. I didn't recognize him.

"Ellie!" Shota called out in warning as he activated his quirk to erase the young man's quirk. There was movement behind me, something moving fast and sounding heavy.

My body moved on autopilot dropping into a crouch avoiding a lethal blow from another one of those Nomu creatures, like the one that had attacked the USJ. "I'm not in the mood." I hissed venomously as a current of sharp piercing wind ripped past me tearing the monster to shreds.

The young man with the patchwork skin stared at me in awe, "Well, we didn't account for you, Mrs. Symbol of Peace." He chuckled as Aizawa caught him in his scarf.

"Sorry that title is my husband's. Personally, I like violence and I'm quite good at it." I growled as Aizawa pinned the young man to the ground.

"Tell me your purpose, number and positions." Aizawa ordered.

"Why?" The dark-haired young man chuckled.

Aizawa took a page out of my book and snapped his left arm, "Because, otherwise, this will happen. Your right arm's next. Let's do this logically, or I can always turn you over to her." He nodded in my direction.

"I feel like you're gentler." The villain laughed, he wasn't acting serious or like he cared about the pain he was sure to be in. What if he was just a decoy?

"Shota, I don't think that's a real person." I frowned. "He's not reacting to the pain."

"She's pretty smart." The villain smirked.

"Easy to think like a villain when you used to be one." I retorted before sending a blade of wind at him that sliced through his neck. He turned to mud beneath Aizawa, "He wasn't going to tell you a damn thing, he was just a distraction."

"Mr. Aizawa! Ellie!" I looked up near the tree line and spotted Ojiro, Glasses, perverted boy and the quiet gentle giant looking somewhat out of breath. They sprinted toward us.

"Mr. Aizawa, what was that just now?" Glasses asked indicating the puddle of mud beneath Aizawa.

"Ellie, stay here, keep everyone safe." He pleaded with me before sprinting into the forest calling back to the others as he ran, "Stay inside, I'll be right back, listen to Ellie and Vlad!"

I clenched my fists not liking the sounds I was hearing in the distance, students were in danger. How many more Nomu did they have with them? How many villains were there?

"Ellie?" Ojiro looked to me worried.

I put my arm around him and steered them all inside, "Come on. Do as he says."

We made it to the classroom where the others were. Vlad gave me a nod of approval as I brought them in safely but I felt my stomach twisting unpleasantly. I had to go. The pussycats weren't enough to handle what was going on.

Mandalay's telepathy rang through everyone's mind once more. "All Students! In the name of the pro hero, Eraser Head, you are granted permission to engage in combat!"

"Shit." I swore under my breath, "Vlad, I'm going!"

"Wait! Ellie!" Vlad attempted to block my path.

"Just try and stop me blood bag, I'll tear you to shreds." I hissed, "Get the fuck out of my way. My kids are in danger and I'm going to make the assholes responsible regret their miserable existences."

Vlad took a step away from me and smirked, "Hell hath no fury like an Ellie protecting her children." He chuckled.

"Damn straight." I bolted out the door and disappeared in a strong gust of wind.

Mandalay's telepathy rang through everyone's minds once more, "Everyone! We have discovered one of the villains' targets, one of the students, Kacchan! Kacchan should try to avoid combat and acting independently."

Kacchan? Isn't that what Midoriya called Bakugo. "Fuck! Hold on anger management hedgehog, I'm on my way."

I saw a few class B students on my way as I darted through the forest and swept them up in a strong breeze sending them safely back to the base camp as I continued sprinting. At some point I ran into a clearing filled with gas. A flurry of wind swirled around me before creating a funneling updraft sending all the gas up into the sky away from the forest.

I spotted three students from class B, a girl with short dark hair wearing a white dress was kneeling next to two of her unconscious classmates, they all had gas masks on. The conscious girl jumped as she felt the breeze from the updraft. Her eyes widened when she spotted me.

"I'm going to send you all back to base camp, alright? You'll be safe there, call for Vlad, he'll take care of them." I reassured her as I used the wind to guide her and her unconscious classmates gently back to basecamp.

The sound of a gunshot nearby made my blood boil. The villains were using guns?! I charged in the direction using my wind to create a more powerful updraft as the gas became denser. Through the clearing cloud of gas, I spotted two class B students fighting against what appeared to be a boy in a different school uniform. The boy was wearing a gas mask and holding a gun.

Screeching gale force winds screamed as they slashed through the firearm in the boy's hand rendering it useless and clearing away the rest of the gas. I cast my hand out and the boy was swept into the air a great distance before I dropped him. He fell with a scream and fainted. I caught him with an updraft before he could splatter and let him drop gently to the ground.

"Are you two okay?!" I ran to the two students.

"Ellie!" Kendo, the capable big sister like Class Rep of Class B, turned to me. She breathed a sigh of relief.

"We're fine." The boy with her replied as his hardened steel like skin returned to normal.

"I'm sending you back to base camp, with that brat, make sure you let Vlad know to tie him up." I waved my hand and gentle winds swept them off their feet and carried them all back to base camp.

I heard a low rumbling growl behind me and turned readying to fend off another monster but was more than a little surprised to find a giant alligator charging toward me. It appeared to be grinning from what I could tell and was wagging its tail happily knocking trees down left and right. Shinso was standing atop it and waved over at me.

"Ellie!"

Relief washed over me as I spotted my students looking safe. Behind Shinso were two unconscious students from Class B. They'd rescued others on the way. Pride warmed my heart. I reappeared at Shinso's side and reached up to ruffle his dark indigo hair.

"I'm glad you're both alright." I gave him a small side hug. "I want you two to head back to base camp pick up anyone else you see along the way." I reached down and pat Pond Scum atop the head, "I'm proud of you, ya big lug."

"What about you?" Shinso asked me looking worried.

"I'm going to teach these assholes a lesson. I don't take kindly to people threatening my brats."

Shinso smiled, "Give 'em hell, Sensei."

I ruffled his hair once more, "Get going, keep each other safe."

A strong gust of wind carried me off as I flew off in search of more enemies while scanning the area for any sign of Bakugo and Midoriya. I spotted the boy with the French accent, Aoyama, cowering in a small little patch of trees kneeling next to two unconscious girls, the invisible Toru and a girl with dark hair named Jiro. On the other side of trees was the same villain I'd seen a copy of earlier outside of base camp and a second villain wearing a skin tight black and white suit. The patchwork skinned villain noticed the students and turned. Blue flames sparked at his fingertips.

I hit the ground with a crash landing in front of Aoyama and cast my hands out. Strong shrieking gale force winds lashed out splintering all of the trees around me. Deadly splinters of wood shot toward the two villains in the screaming winds. Patches stared at me in awe, his teal eyes growing wide. He held up his hand and bright blue flames turned the splinters to ash.

"Get the fuck away from my students!" I snarled.

"EEP!" The man in the black and white bodysuit hit the ground dramatically before jumping back to his feet.

Aoyama stared up at me with wide tear-filled eyes. "E-Ellie!"

"Don't worry, you'll be safe, you did a great job looking after them." I smiled down at him before gentle winds swept all three of the students to safety as I launched myself at the villains. "You, assholes picked the wrong time to piss me off!"

The dark-haired man scrambled to dodge my swings as I flew into a rage. He fumbled to get away from me but my winds pulled him back as I connected my fist with his jaw angrily.

"Not very peaceful, Mrs. Symbol of Peace." He chuckled before cutting off with a gasp of pain as I punched him in the gut.

"Your mud clone said something similar right before I severed his head from his body." I hissed as I encased my fist in wind and took another swing preparing to send them both flying.

A hand clapped down on my shoulder from behind and there was a loud whoosh sound before I found myself trapped in some kind of spherical object. My winds lashed out around me within the sphere, to no avail, I couldn't break it. What the hell was this? I kicked and punched at the glass like spherical container keeping me trapped within. I couldn't see outside of it or hear anything other than my own desperate cries.

"Shit,I got careless." I groaned. "I'm going to kill you, assholes!" My voice echoedaround me as I continued punching and kicking at the walls around me trying tobust my way out.
