Chapter Thirty Seven

~Ellie's POV~

As I was released from the spherical object keeping me trapped, a flurry of hellacious winds tore around me. Sensing a familiar signature in the flow of the wind I wrapped a protective barrier of swirling wind around them. There were a few panicked shouts as glasses began to shatter and shards of glass got swept up in the flurry of wind.

A large hand clapped around my neck and my quirk felt as if it had gotten erased, like Aizawa's quirk. The wind died down and I was able to make out a small run-down looking bar with a handful of villains crouching low to avoid my fury. A familiar man with pale blue tinged silver hair, Shigaraki, was sitting at the bar, the glass he'd been holding in his hand had shattered and there was a steady stream of blood dripping onto the bar. Behind the bar was the shadow man, Kurogiri, who'd helped him attack the USJ. A glance behind me revealed a large Nomu of pure white, that looked kind of like a thing straight out of nightmares.

"Good Evening, Tornado." Kurogiri greeted me politely, "You certainly do not disappoint."

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Bakugo restrained and gagged his crimson eyes were wide as saucers. I knew he was scared, even if he was trying to hide behind his anger, something I did often.

I ignored the villains and addressed Bakugo hoping to calm him down. "Don't worry, Bakugo. No matter what happens, All Might WILL save you." I got a quick count of the villains, six of them and the Nomu.

"I hear congratulations are in order, little Tornado." Kurogiri was trying to get a rise out of me but I tuned him out keeping my focus on Bakugo.

"Lesson one of our training, you can't always rely on your quirk to save yourself, you have to be strong." I said calmly as I swiped backward hitting the giant Nomu so that its grip shifted. Gripping its arm that was still trying to hang onto my neck I pulled myself up lifting my knees to my chest and managed to roll backward so my feet landed on the monster's shoulders.

I pushed off, hard, causing it to lose its grip on me. Once I was free from it, I felt my quirk rushing back to me. Gale force winds screamed as they tore around the room hurling all of the villains away from Bakugo. A strong hand caught me by the back of the neck breaking through my gale force winds like it was just a gentle breeze. The wind died down as I was tackled to the ground. My skull bounced off the hardwood floor and I let out a snarl of rage as the giant monster pinned me to the ground.

"If you hurt a single hair on that boy's head, I'll rip every last one of you to shreds!" I raged as I tried to break from the monster's grasp.

"Little Tornado, you seem to be misunderstanding our interest in young Bakugo, we don't want to hurt him, we want him to join us." Kurogiri chuckled now that I was subdued. "Are you sure you should be fighting so much, I can't imagine it's good for the baby."

My rage was spiraling out of control, I could feel myself losing my grip on any semblance of rationality. Pure adrenaline coursed through my veins, I had to get free, I had to get Bakugo free, and above all else I had to protect Toshinori's baby. My vision went red and I let out a scream of rage as I tried to wrench myself free from the Nomu. There was a small spark of pure electric energy coursing around my fingertips, then another stronger spark. On my third attempt to break free, my entire arm was encased in a blinding bright white electrical energy.

"Eli?" I breathed unsteadily as I saw the familiar electrical current wrapping around my body causing the Nomu to let out a cry of pain. That was my twin's quirk!

It loosened its grip and I rolled away from it preparing to launch another attack before a hand encircled my neck, I felt an excruciating pain as some of the skin on my neck began to break apart. Their grip tightened and before I could block or try to break from their hold my head was slammed into the countertop with enough force, I blacked out. The last thing I saw before I lost consciousness, was Bakugo thrashing against his bonds and screaming in rage through his gag.

.......................................................................................

When next I woke, I was in a different location. I was lying on a cold metal table, restrained with thick leather cuffs connected to chains on my wrists and ankles. It was like some kind of medical exam room, small and blindingly white. The white Nomu was there with its monstrous hand wrapped around my revealed calf erasing my quirk. I had no idea how I'd managed to create Eli's lightning and couldn't seem to get it to activate again. Was it the baby's quirk? Did the baby already develop a quirk? Was that even possible? It would make sense if the Nomu could only erase the quirk of one person it was touching.

My mind felt hazy, like there was a dense fog inside my head making everything unclear. I blinked a few times to get my eyes to adjust to the brightness of the room before looking around better. There was an IV in my arm connected to an IV drip bag, it looked to just be hospital grade fluids used to keep patients from getting dehydrated. So, they didn't want me to die, that was an interesting development. What was their plan?

As if on cue, a voice rang over head from a speaker box above a thick metal door with a small barred window. "Good Morning, little Ellie." The voice of All For One echoed through the room making my blood boil.

I thrashed against my bonds as I was consumed in rage.

"Though, I guess to be more accurate it's evening, you've been asleep for quite some time. I was starting to worry."

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" I snarled.

The Nomu didn't react to my thrashing just kept its hand around my leg to keep me from blowing this place into the sky.

"You really should calm down, little Ellie, all that stress isn't good for the baby-."

"THE ONLY THING I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOUR MOUTH IS YOU BEGGING FOR MERCY AS I SLAUGHTER YOU!" I shrieked.

"My, my, as violent as ever...let's talk after you've calmed down a bit." The voice faded away and a pale violet cloud drifted from a vent above me. I tried to hold my breath not knowing what kind of gas it was.

It filled the room in no time at all. Unable to hold my breath any longer I choked on the fumes in the air and felt myself drift back into a deep sleep.

This process seemed to repeat for a while. Until I lost all sense of time. I had no idea how long I'd been trapped in this room. Each time I'd wake up, I'd be attached to different IV's and tubes that were feeding me nutrients to keep me and the baby alive. It was probably their plan to use me to get to All Might.

One day when I'd awoken, I thought I heard something beyond the door, someone was fighting! In my drugged haze, I struggled to lift my head to see if I could see anything. I felt so weak and tired. I just wanted to sleep for days but I knew I had to fight. Something was happening, it was my chance to escape. I dug deep into the inner recesses of my mind pulling forth as much anger as I could, Eli's convulsing body, blood spewing from his lips as he died in agony in my arms, Toshinori hospitalized after his fight with All for One, the fear in Bakugo's eyes as he was captured by villains.

"Die!" A strong electrical current shot from my body frying the Nomu in an instant.

Using my wind, I sliced the thick metal door in two before hacking through the chains keeping me restrained. Shakily I rose to a sitting position. My stomach churned unpleasantly and I felt bile rise up into my throat. I threw up over the side of the metal table before stumbling toward the door. The cool tile floor was cold against my bare feet. Someone had changed my attire at some point, probably to make it easier to administer whatever drugs they were giving me to keep me sedated. I looked down at the plain white shorts and form fitting tank top with a frown.

I stepped through the door and looked around the dark hallway. An explosion sounded at the end of the hall and I heard the snarls of several Nomus as well as shouts from what sounded like heroes. Was Toshinori here?! My heart stuttered in my chest, if he knew what was good for him, he'd have gone to save Bakugo first. This was probably the B squad. He'd go after the boy first, he knew I could handle myself.

Shakily I ran toward the end of the hall occasionally stumbling into the wall as I ran. My mind was still foggy. I stepped out of the hall into an open warehouse in time to see a handful of pro heroes struggling to fight off a horde of Nomus. I recognized one, Best Jeanist, lying in a daze a few feet away his arms covered in blood his eyes wide.

A strong wind lifted him out of the way as a Nomu lunged at him and I dove into the fray. My fist collided into the Nomu's skull and a blast of electrical energy mixed with a torrent of winds rocketed it into a nearby concrete wall causing it to splatter.

"It's Ellie! We found her!" A giant woman with pale blonde hair and bright magenta eyes, Mt Lady, cheered.

"How the hell do you know me, giant freak?!" I snapped as I hurled another Nomu away from Best Jeanist.

"Oh." She paled, "I guess, since you were being held prisoner, you had no idea...All Might revealed your identity so everyone could help find you."

My heart clenched in my chest, Toshinori. He must have been beside himself with anger and worry to have willingly shared my secret with anyone. Tears welled in my eyes as I thought of how he must have felt upon getting the news, how helpless...lost...broken. Rage burned inside of me as I imagined Toshinori's crying face in my mind's eye just as I heard a familiar voice that made my blood boil.

"Oh, little Ellie seems to have escaped. We can't have that." All For One was floating in the air appearing seemingly from nowhere. He must have been responsible for Best Jeanist's condition.

"Stay back!" I yelled to the heroes and policemen as I gently guided Best Jeanist's broken and bloody body to safety. "I'm not responsible if any of you die because you ignore me."

Shrieking gale force winds raged around me splintering the roof of the warehouse, breaking everything inside. The heroes and law enforcement were all hurled backward out of harm's way. Strong blades of wind lashed out at All For One. Two Nomus dove into the fray taking the full force of the blow, shielding him with their bodies. They were both ripped in two and All For One was left completely unscathed.

"I knew you'd be problematic." All for One remarked just as something heavy slammed into me from the side. The winds died as my quirk was erased.

I attempted to fend off my assailant, to no avail. It was another Nomu like the one that had erased my quirk before, but much stronger. Its monstrous hands encircled my neck as it pinned me to the ripped up concrete floor. My breath caught in my throat, my oxygen supply being completely cut off by the monster's iron grip.

There was a chorus of screams of pain from the other heroes as All For One launched an assault. I flailed uselessly swatting at my attacker trying to break his hold on me. Somewhere near me I heard what sounded like water splashing to the ground before I heard Bakugo's voice.

"What...the hell?" He coughed seeming to appear from nowhere. "Ellie!" There was a massive explosion and the Nomu trying to strangle the life out of me was hurled away.

I scrambled to my feet coughing in an attempt to regulate my breathing. Bakugo was standing behind me, his crimson eyes wide. He was running on pure adrenaline his fight or flight was in overdrive. My arm hooked around him pulling him toward me before shoving him behind me putting myself between him and the enemies. This wasn't good. I couldn't hold off this many of them and keep him out of harm's way.

"I'll keep you safe." I promised him as a swirling vortex of wind encircled him. The eye of the cyclone where Bakugo was standing was calm and safe, everything outside the vortex was a swirling hell of doom as blades of wind lashed out indiscriminately at anything and everything.

Dropping to my knees, I wrapped my arms around my stomach and curled into a ball to protect the baby from my blades of wind. The villains that had appeared much in the same fashion as Bakugo, falling from strange black and grey pools of sludge like water, began to panic as the winds tore at their flesh. Thick deep cuts began appearing on my arms and back.

"STOP HER!" All for One bellowed.

Several Nomus tried to force their way through the hellish winds. The one from before charged through the hellish winds not seeming the least bit concerned by the flurry of thick cuts penetrating it's flesh, all the way to the bone. It reached for me and I attempted to roll out of the way. Pain ricocheted through my body from the various cuts appearing all over my skin from the hellish winds. A gasp escaped me as its monstrous hand clamped down tightly on my ankle and I let out a panicked scream as it dragged me closer.

"ELLIE!" Toshinori's voice roared overhead as all of the wind's died down once the Nomu erased my quirk. He hit the ground a second later and there was blast of pure force that blasted the Nomu into oblivion. In the next instant I was being cradled in Toshinori's strong arms.

Tears streamed down my cheeks and I threw my arms around his neck as a choked sob escaped me. "Toshinori!" I cried as I clung to him.

As we embraced, I sensed movement, another Nomu lunged. A streak of bright white lightning flashed in the sky striking the Nomu in the chest. My stomach churned unpleasantly and I winced in pain, I was overdoing it.

"Get young Bakugo to safety." Toshinori kissed me sweetly before setting me on my feet behind him.

I scrambled to where Bakugo had fallen after the blast of All Might's attack. My body trembled, I was nearing my limit; I'd been running on empty for a while now. Bakugo accepted the hand I offered him to pull him to his feet.

"You're pretty late." All For One goaded Toshinori once I'd reached Bakugo. He ducked under my arm in an attempt to help support my weight. "It's a little more than five kilometers from the bar to here. It was easily thirty seconds after I'd sent the Nomus before you arrived. You've gotten weaker, All Might."

"What about you, what's with that industrial mask you have on?" Toshinori growled, his body was shaking in rage. I'd never seen him so angry before. No wonder he wanted me to get Bakugo out of here, he didn't want his pupil to see him in this kind of state. "I won't make the same mistake, I made six years ago, All For One! I will take Ellie and young Bakugo back. And this time, I will throw you into prison for sure! And all of the League of Villains you control with you!" Toshinori lunged forward readying a powerful strike.

I waved my arm in a sweeping motion and a wall of wind flew up around me and Bakugo as Toshinori struck All For One.

"There's so much to do. It'll be tough..." All For One raised his arm to deflect Toshinori's attack, his forearm swelled. "...for both of us." His swollen arm let out a huge pressurized gust of air just as Toshinori was about to make contact and I cringed as Toshinori went flying.

Buildings were collapsing left and right. Toshinori was probably worrying about potential civilians, he was thinking too much, there were too many obstacles. He couldn't fight like this with the possibility of innocent casualties.

"Run away from here, Tomura and take that woman and child with you." All For One indicated Bakugo and I before launching strange glowing red veined black thorn like branches at the fallen form of Kurogiri, "Kurogiri, get everyone away from here." He forcibly activated the warp gate quirk.

The remaining villains faced off against us.

I turned to Bakugo, "You have my full permission to blow these assholes up."

His grin was positively wicked. "Lesson Two?"

"Lesson Two." I nodded as I stumbled a step away from him and encased my fists in blades of wind, "Show no mercy!"

Bakugo grinned, "I like lesson two." We leapt back simultaneously as two of the villains lunged for us.

Using the wind, I was able to help Bakugo move more fluidly to avoid the villains' attacks as I fended off as many as I could. Toshinori was struggling with his own battle, I could feel his need to try to get to us, to protect us. It was tearing him up inside leaving us vulnerable and alone. Rage spurned me forward made my strikes harder, faster and more lethal.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Toshinori go flying into another building. I let out a scream of rage as I threw myself at the villains. Raging winds infused with blinding electrical energy crackled as they struck their targets tearing into flesh and cauterizing it instantaneously with the burning electrical energy.

A crash from behind caused Bakugo and I to jump. Midoriya, Glasses and the boy with the red hair and the hardening quirk from class 1A burst from the wall just outside of the now decimated warehouse. A massive ramp of ice appeared and the trio rocketed up it. They flew off the ice ramp and the red-haired boy turned toward us as they flew overhead.

"BAKUGO!" He held his hand out.

Bakugo looked to me for a split second.

"GO!" I snapped.

He activated his quirk and I used the wind to help him up to his friends before helping them all land out of harm's way. The villains began to retreat. I ran to stop them but found my path blocked by more Nomus.

Once all the students were safely away, I closed my eyes and concentrated for a moment. A strong wide vortex of raging winds swirled around the perimeter of the battle between Toshinori and All For One. The villains managed to make their escape but I was able to give Toshinori the ability to fight without having to hold back or worry about casualties, the wall of raging winds swirling around the perimeter creating a barrier between us and innocents.

I flipped out of the way of the first Nomu to lunge for me and narrowly avoided the second, the third managed to land a hit that sent my flying. Strong hands caught me by the shoulders keeping me from smacking into my wall of wind. Shakily I looked up over my shoulder to find Toshinori looking down at me, worried.

"You've done enough, Ellie." He gave my shoulders a reassuring squeeze. "I'll take it from here."

"Don't you dare die." I choked on a sob as my knees gave way, unable to support myself any longer.

"I couldn't do that to you." He swept me into his arms and carried me to the edge of the perimeter and set me down atop a slab of concrete. "I love you, Ellie."

"I love you too, Toshinori." I cried.

He captured my lips in a sweet kiss. Tears streamed down my cheeks. He wiped them away as he reluctantly broke our kiss before returning to the battlefield with newfound determination. Toshinori flew back into the onslaught as I struggled to hold onto consciousness. All For One sent him flying into the sky, straight at a news chopper that was trying to get an aerial view of the fight.

"Shit!" I waved my hands upward managing to push the chopper in one direction and pull Toshinori in another landing him safely back onto the ground. The three Nomus that had attacked me before were waiting behind All For One, not acting. They must have been given specific orders from All For One.

Toshinori was nearing his limit. Blood was seeping out of the corners of his lips, the wound All For One had left him with six years ago was acting up. How long had he already been fighting? Without me there to take care of him, how was he eating properly? More tears slipped down my cheeks. I struggled to get to my feet.

I closed my eyes and placed my hand on my stomach, "Hey, little parasite, it's going to be a bumpy ride, so hold tight..." My dark oceanic eyes opened and I looked to Toshinori still struggling to hold his own against All For One, "Till death do us part." I breathed before casting my hands out using the wind to help Toshinori move more fluidly as I had done with Bakugo earlier.

Taking a deep breath, I channeled my rage and sprinted forward to join the fray. As I made my move the three Nomus lunged for me. My rage had taken hold, Toshinori was in danger, he'd lost hold of his muscular form and was bleeding profusely. All For One kept spouting things to trigger him, about his master, Nana Shimura and tried to convince him Shigaraki was her grandson. A single blade of wind lashed out slicing through all three of the Nomus, severing their heads from their misshapen bodies in an instant.

"DON'T FUCK WITH MY FAMILY!" I raged sending several blades of wind flying in All For One's direction.

He tried to use the same pressurized air tactic he'd used to send Toshinori flying to stop the blades of wind. It slowed them and shifted them so they wouldn't be lethal. Blood littered the ground around him as the blades of winds cut deep gashes into his arms and legs. Toshinori still looked shell-shocked by the news he'd just received.

"TOSHINORI! SNAP OUT OF IT OR I'M KICKING YOUR ASS NEXT!" I snarled.

He shook his head shaking himself out of his daze and looked to me. His piercing blue eyes fell on me and soon his trademark smile was back in place. "Ellie really is the number one wife." He grinned as I landed swiftly beside him.

"Together?" I asked as I mirrored his stance as he gathered up as much strength and energy he could into his right fist.

"Forever." He beamed.

"I-idiot."

The voices of pro heroes screaming at Toshinori from outside my raging barrier of gale force winds drew our attention. Stupid Flameface was there yelling nonsense, seeming upset by Toshinori's current appearance. All the others and the civilians safely outside my barrier were cheering him on. All For One began to power up, he launched a massive pressurized air strike at us. A bubble of wind engulfed us negating his attack.

"Ever the problem child, Tornado." All For One grumbled as he realized his attack had no effect. "For such a villain, you sure seem to care about the safety of all those innocents." He indicated my raging barrier.

"I remember telling you the only words I wanted to hear come out of your mouth, was you begging for mercy." I hissed.

All for One dove at us and swung his now massive fist with bulging muscles that were ripping out of his arms and covered in strange almost metallic looking spikes. Toshinori and I swung our fists simultaneously, him using the last bit of One for All and me swinging a fist surrounded in blades of wind. Our fists collided with a loud thunderous crack. Toshinori's free arm encircled my waist as we were both pushed back from the force of All for One's punch.

Toshinori barely managed to gain traction, his shoes digging into the rubble keep me cradled against him so I wouldn't slice open my bare feet on the ground. Once we'd come to a stop, he released me from his hold and we both threw all of our weight into our punches.

"UNITED STATES OF SMASH!" Toshinori yelled.

I didn't have a flashy name for my hit and went with what I was feeling, "DIE!"

With our combined power, All For One was defeated. The news chopper flew overhead and I looked over at Toshinori morosely as he struggled to raise his hand in the air to give the world his trademark pose. He shifted into his muscular form for as long as he could muster. Tears streamed down my cheeks, his body was shaking, he was in so much pain. He stumbled forward and I wrapped my arms around his middle offering him support.

"Thanks for saving me, Toshi-chan." I squeezed him tight as I dropped my barrier of wind allowing the other pro heroes through.

"What are you talking about?" He coughed up blood through his smile, "Ellie saved me." Consciousness left him in that moment and I struggled to keep us both upright.

"Idiot...I wouldn't be able to save you if you hadn't saved me in the first place." I cried. All of our secrets were out now... What was the world going to think?
