Author's POV: 

You were eating some mangoes as Taehyung sat beside you saying, "Are they sweet?"
"Have some!" You said, forwarding your hand to feed him some mangoes. He took the mango, chewing it with a smile.
"It's sweet.." He said. You nodded and said, "I must say my father-in-law has a great eye for things."
"Indeed." He said, admiring you. Well, you were his father's choice as well. 

"Why are you here though? Get ready. We're going to the therapy." You said as he replied, "I came back from work not too long ago though."
"You're busy every day. Come on!" You said. He sighed and nodded saying, "Alright."

---Time skip

"See you, mom," Taehyung said as Mrs Kim smiled. 
"It's nice seeing you go there. I'm so glad, my babies.." Mrs Kim spoke, kissing Taehyung's forehead who made a weird face before giggling. You chuckled as Mrs Kim kissed your forehead as well saying, "You too. You're taking care of him too much, take a break, okay?"
"What break? She is supposed to be with me!" Taehyung spoke making everyone laugh. He just huffed and spoke, "We're going!" 

"Bye!!" You waved at them as you both got out of the house. Soon, you both were in the car as he was driving. 
"Should we grab dinner afterwards?" Taehyung asked as you said, "Mmm... sure?" 

---In the clinic 

"Are you done?" You asked Taehyung who nodded saying, "She taught me some breathing techniques. She also asked me if there was any reason for my phobia or any experience related to it. She also taught me how to distract myself and asked me to try it at home. But she asked me to make sure to keep company until I learn it properly. Well, she also told me to do some breathing exercises every day and try to learn how to concentrate. That's it!" 
You just stared at him rant and giggled before poking his cheek making him frown.
"You looked so cute just now, you know?" 

"What's that? Weirdo." Taehyung said and huffed, looking away as you giggled before moving his bangs from his forehead and saying, "Let's go for dinner now." 

---2 weeks later 

It didn't take much effort for 14 days to pass. They passed in a jiffy with lots of lovely moments, bickering and a random 2-day argument between you and Taehyung. Well, the argument was pretty weird... about a game. 

"You cheated! You can't win this!"
"Why are you underestimating me?! Just because you're the CEO of a gaming company?!" 
"Why are you even bringing that up?"
"Hah.. loser." 
"You-"
"Don't talk to me. You stink!" 
"Yah! Don't talk to me either! You cheated!" 

Apart from those, there were LOTS and LOTS of hugs, pecks, kisses, therapy sessions, dinners and lunches, work and love, family... life. 

And today was a special day. It was your interview for the job which you wanted. You were nervous and excited about the job. Taehyung was eating fruits and doing work from home today because it was supposed to rain. 
"I'll be back as soon as I can. It's not supposed to storm or thunder, are you sure you'll be okay?" You asked Taehyung who smiled, nodding. 
"I will. Don't worry. I've taken lessons too. I can handle myself better than before." He said as you replied, "Even 2 days ago you were whining about not knowing anything. Why are you suddenly so confident?" 

"That- Shut up! Just go." He said as you nodded. You were about to leave but he got up and walked near you saying, "Good luck! You can do it!" 
"Thank you." You giggled, hugging him. He hugged you back before kissing your forehead. 
"What should I get you for the good news?" He asked as you chuckled saying, "I didn't even go to the interview!" He, still hugging you, chuckled and spoke, "I know you can do it, love." 

You both pulled away as you said, "I'll do it!!" He waved at you as you waved back.
"I want to drop her off.." Taehyung mumbled and sighed, looking at the laptop. Being a CEO and having a perfect love life? What a dream! 

---In the office 

"Why do you want this job?" The interviewer asked as you said, "I really like gaming. I feel like there's another world in games. And I want to be someone who helps in creating a world where many people find comfort and a home. I want to design characters... of my own who can be our strength and faith and give us motivation when we need it."  
The interviewers smiled at your answer and said, "Alright then..." 

They were checking your CV as you sat there, waiting. You were very nervous and also excited. You kept playing with your bracelet given by him.. in anxiousness. 

But suddenly, you felt like you heard some noise outside. A staff came in saying, "It's storming outside." Panic rushed through your body hearing her.
"Oh... we need to fasten up the interview then." One of the interviewers spoke. But you were engrossed in your thoughts. 
'He can't be okay... he's the only one in the house right now.'

"Ms Y/N?" An interviewer asked as you spoke, "Y-Yeah?" 
"Are you alright? Shall we continue?" She asked as you gulped nodding. You were worried but if you left right now, you'd lose the job without a doubt. 
"So-" She was speaking but you cut her off saying, "Uh.. c-can I do this interview some other day? I have an emergency.." 

"Emergency?" She asked as you were almost shaking in your place. Suddenly, his image of balled up in a corner while crying flashed in your mind as you got up saying, "I'm s-sorry. I have to go now. He needs me." 
You quickly ran out of the place. You were guilty of leaving the interview room, and rethinking your decisions but at the same time, the worry in you was overwhelming. You didn't know you could do this at all.. not for someone else but here you were, running in the rain, trying to find a cab to go to him.

Soaking wet in the rain, you quickly got a cab and reached home. 15 minutes, the thunders didn't stop yet and with every thunder, the worry in you was increasing. 
You quickly paid the driver and said, "Keep the change!" 
Running inside, you quickly opened the apartment door, rushing towards the room. 

"Taesshi!" You called and barged into the room to see him on the bed, trying to breathe. He wasn't curled up in a corner, shaking and crying but still, trying his best to breathe. You just stared at him and walked towards him with teary eyes. You were worried sick. 
"Taesshi... are you okay?" You asked, looking at him as he looked at you, his eyes showing pure fear. You hugged him saying, "I'm sorry... was it scary?"
You could feel him shaking his head which was buried in your neck. 
You patted his back saying, "You did improve though... I saw." You said, closing your eyes. A tear escaped your eyes. Your heart ached so much for him. It was his misery, his pain, his suffering yet it was your heart which suffered from that painful feeling. 

Another 10 and 15 minutes passed by as the long storm ended. You noticed that Taehyung was asleep while his face had dry tear stains. You caressed his hair and placed a long kiss on his forehead who was sleeping on your lap. 

"I love you... so much." You mumbled and sighed. You were in deep thought. You realized that you sacrificed your dream job for him. 
"Did I prioritize you over my job?" You asked yourself and smiled a little, feeling hurt. You were sad because of the job but you were glad that he was okay. Sometimes, it was okay to let go of some things... love is just like that. 

You didn't know that love could be so selfless, so strange. You didn't know it was possible to prioritize someone over your own needs but it's true. Sometimes, it's just like that. When we love someone so much, maybe we end up prioritizing them over everything. Though it hurts at times, it's just love. Though it's complete foolishness, it's love. 

---Time skip 

"You're up?" You asked Taehyung who stared at you asking, "You..."
You just looked away saying, "So. I finished my interview and on my way back, I saw it was storming, you know. Was it hard?" 
"You're still wet.." He said, holding your hair as you said, "Ah.. it took me some time to find a cab." You said. 
"Are you okay now?" You asked, smiling. He just looked at you before saying, "Yeah... thank you for coming.." 
"What are you even saying? It's my duty. Chill.." You said. He caressed your cheeks as you got up saying, "Umm.. I'll quickly get some warm tea. Wait here."

You walked out of the room as he stared at you. He looked at your phone which binged with a notification. 

'Ms Y/N, we're really unfortunate that you had to leave in the middle of the interview for an emergency. Our company thinks you're qualified and apt for our company. If you want to re-do the interview, please contact us before noon, Wednesday  - ZX Gaming.'
