Author's POV: 

He was trying to say something but stopped saying, "Nothing.. I'll tell you later!" 
You frowned and nodded saying, "Okay then..? Tell me when you want!" You smiled at him and looked away as he smiled.
"Look! These kids are so cute!" You said and giggled as he nodded saying, "They're running around like you."
"Hey!" You whined as he giggled. 

"Let's visit your father tomorrow. He seems to miss you." Taehyung said as you looked at him with a smile.
"Should we?" You asked as he nodded. 
"Well, I'll ask Mina to come over then. She wanted to visit father too." You said as he nodded and smiled. You both spent some time in the park and went home onwards. 

--A week later 

"Dad's condition is getting worse, mom said.. I'm worried." You said and looked down. He patted your back and said, "Nothing bad will happen, don't worry."
"We visited him that day too, right? He seemed okay but now... I think we have to shift him to the hospital soon." You said worriedly as he smiled, hugged you and said, "It'll be okay, don't worry." 
"Hmm... oh! You also have therapy tomorrow. Let's go together." You said as he nodded saying, "After that, we can go and visit your dad. He's moving to the hospital tonight, right?" 
"I should stay at the hospital.." You said as he said, "I'll stay instead!" 

"No.. you can't! It's only your 4th time in the class... what if it storms? Don't go, ah.." You sighed as he smiled saying, "Then, don't worry about that. We can visit him and come back and then visit him the next day. My dad might be staying with Mr Jeon so don't worry!" 
You smiled at him as he squished your cheeks saying, "Aigo.. you don't look good with all that worry on your face. You look good with a smile instead." 
You frowned but chuckled as he patted your head. Backing away, he spoke, "Let's go and have some dinner now. Stop worrying so much!" 

--Time skip

"It might storm tonight." You said, sitting beside Taehyung on the bed as he smiled saying, "Should I try sleeping alone?"
"No! Not yet... what if you can't handle it yet? Let a few more days go... I'll stay." You said as he chuckled and looked at you properly. He leaned towards you, pulled you closer and spoke, "Why are you so worried?"
"I... I'm not!" You said and looked away. He smiled and said, "I'd like it if you were.. though." 

You gulped and backed away but he pulled you closer making you frown.
"Why are you-" You were talking but got cut off by him who spoke, "Y/N... do you... do-" He stopped and gulped saying, "Do you feel anything.. when you're with me? This... close..?" 
"W-What are you saying?" You asked, flustered by his raspy voice. He was so close to you. You both were only sitting beside each other but he pulled you closer, holding you as you stared at him. Your eyes met as you gulped, feeling your heartbeat rising. His heart was already beating so fast and loudly yet he couldn't care any less. He was only bothered about how you felt. 

Maybe because you were too good at hiding it all, he was always so confused about how you felt. He definitely knew that you cared for him and loved him, but in what sense... who knew? 

"I..." You gulped and looked down as he eyed you saying, "Don't you feel nervous at all? Or like- the fast heartbeats at all?!" 
"I..." You were about to speak but he cut you off saying, "Why don't you? I'm literally the only man to be this close to you from what I know! You've never dated nor were you, friends, with men in your childhood. Then?" 
"That.. I mean-" You were about to talk again but this guy seriously cut you off again saying, "Really? Are you kidding me..? I definitely feel so much when I'm with you but you should reciprocate that but you-" 

"Shut up! Let me talk! You're only blabbering bullsh*t!" You said as he looked at you, confused. You sighed and said, "Are you dumb? It's normal for my heartbeat to raise too! It's obvious! Who would I feel for if not my husband? Do you think I don't know you have feelings for me? It's so obvious that you do! And about me, you can tell it too! It's normal, we're married so we can have feelings.. we can like- just be how couples are... with love and care, affection and everything! Stop blabbering!" 

You spoke in one go and sighed as he stared at you blankly before gulping. 
"And... I mean, isn't it obvious? Why do you have to bring it up like that out of nowhere?" You asked as he quietly stared at you. You looked at him confused as he said, "No matter how much I think of it... I can't deny it at all."
"Deny what?" You asked as he said, "I have feelings for you." 

You looked at him, completely shocked and in disbelief. He just stared at you as you gulped, asking, "W-What do you mean..? Why are you- Ah, are you even being for real? What are you saying?!" 
"It's the truth. I mean, I've been trying to tell you for so long.. I think I've always been in love with you. Or else, why would I buy an entire rack of accessories when you only wanted one? Why would I rush in the middle of the night to buy some medicines for you or... skip important days of work because you're sick?" He asked as you looked at him, not knowing how to reply.

Deep down, you knew that this was supposed to happen, sooner or later. You both were always flirting or bickering, having fun and being warm to each other. You knew your feelings for him and so did he, but being married was an advantage. You didn't have to confess to be with him, it was easy. You were his wife so naturally, you were always with him. But this confession was too sudden.

"You don't have to love me back... just be with me, as my partner. That's okay." He said as you sighed and spoke, "Let's get ready to go to bed." 
"Is she avoiding me right now?" Taehyung asked himself, looking at you who got up and went inside the washroom. He frowned but flinched as he heard a scream. 

A minute later, you came out and lay down beside him saying, "Turn off the lights for me." He frowned and turned off the lights. The room was lighted up in the dim light of the lamp. You just looked at him, who lay down, turning to the other side. You gulped and remembered how he just said, 'I love you' to you. In the most indirect way.
You were feeling happy, nervous, excited, anxious, strange and crazy at the same time. You were actually very scared right now. You always dreamt of those fairytales where your husband would be the best man to ever exist. 

To you, Taehyung was like the best man. Of course, the start was hard. You had to understand him, gain trust for each other and accept each other as partners... but once you started spending time with him, everything became better. You really felt strongly for him, you worried about him, cared about him. You were curious about him as well. He was like the warm and cosy feeling to you, the feeling of a homely love. 

You smiled a little and looked at him before poking his back slightly. He turned around asking, "Huh? Do you need anything?"
"I... am sorry for screaming like that earlier." You said as he frowned a little but turned towards you saying, "It's okay?" 
"I was just nervous and excited so I screamed.. and, about what you said- come to  think of it, I can't deny it either." Your words brought a smile to his face as he asked, "Deny what?" 
"I might feel something for you..." You said with a chuckle as he chuckled looking away and said, "You're so dumb! Why are you copying me?" 

"I didn't say I loved you or anything yet. I just said I might feel something for you." You said as he smiled saying, "Aigo... dumbhead." 
"Well, I need to think about it for a while." You said as he smiled saying, "Yes, sure.. take your time. Take plenty of time! I still have 40 to 50 years to wait and listen to you." 
"Shut up!" You said as he giggled saying, "Okay, now sleep... I didn't mind at all. I understand why you're so awkward."
"You don't." You said as he said, "Whatever you say!" 

--Next morning 

You yawned and got out of bed to see Taehyung sitting on the couch, wondering about something.
"What's wrong?" You asked as he came out of his trance asking, "Oh, you're awake?" 
"Mhm...?" You nodded, yawning as he smiled walking towards you. He examined your face before saying, "You look exceptionally weird today... go freshen up! Mom and dad went out today... they probably have some kind of invitation, I guess?" 
"Oh.." You said and nodded before walking inside the washroom. 

"Wooh... thank god mom took the opera tickets I gave them.. hah. Let's see how we can impress our wife today, Taehyungah~~" Taehyung giggled, wondering about his master plan.
