Reyhan returned home, he rang the doorbell but no one answered and he assumed that maybe Anah hasn't returned yet. He fished out a spare key and unlocked the door. Reyhan is confused when he finds the entire apartment pitch dark. Every time the lights of the living room is left on. Reyhan moved his hand searching for the light switch. He switched on the lights and is surprised to see a huge bouquet of flowers placed on the coffee table in between the sofas. He looked around and there are rose petals everywhere. He smiled. Then he picked up the bouquet. There is a small card there.

I remember meeting a timid looking three-year-old boy at the park. I was five then. The boy was incredibly cute. He looked scared, I had wondered why? But then something made me go up to him and befriend him. Perhaps it was destiny.

Since then we were inseparable. The kid was still a timid one. I had promised to look after him and protect him, which I did. But with the passing time, the timid kid grew into a mature and a very sensible man. A man who protected me and loved me selflessly.

Reyhan, I had been a fool to not see your love. I had been foolish to not realize my love for you. We indeed shared a special bond, it meant more than friendship for both of us. But you realized it first. And me...

Anyways like you said, past is past and our future is very bright. That is all that what matters now.

I want to tell you something. Reyhan, I love you. I love you very much. Mouse

Anah

Reading Anah's confession Reyhan had tears in his eyes. He smiled. He couldn't believe Anah loves him. She loves him. He felt like the happiest man alive.

He looked around, - 'Anah.' He called. Now, he can't wait to see her. Reyhan wanted to confess his love again and take her in his arms.

'Anah!' He called again, he stopped moving when he heard a soft music play. He turned his head and saw Anah coming out from the bedroom. She held Rey in her arms. The little girl became excited on seeing her father and began wriggling in her mother's arms. Reyhan looked at Anah from top to bottom. She had worn the same emerald green saree from that night at Gayatri's place.

Anah smiled at him. Reyhan rushed to her. He opened his arms to hug her, Rey did too. Anah couldn't hug him so she shifted closer leaning against him. Reyhan wrapped his arms around her. Anah rested her head on his chest and closed her eyes, a smile on her lips. Being in Reyhan's arms had always been comforting to her and yet again she felt at peace in his embrace. Rey with her tiny arms also hugged her father.

Reyhan wished he could capture this moment forever. His happy family.

After a while, they parted. Reyhan picked up Rey who clapped and smiled widely. But she was disappointed when her father placed her on the baby chair. Anah smiled shyly as he walked up to her. Reyhan smiled and held her palms.

'You really love me?' He asked softly. Slowly, she upped her lashes and their gaze met. She nodded gazing into his eyes.

'I love you, Reyhan. I guess I had always loved you but never realized. But these months of being together, being close to you than ever before. I had begun feeling something special for you. And when you confessed that you love me, I realized too. But,' -Anah lowered her head, her expressions turned sad, - 'I wish I had realized it earlier.' She confessed.

Reyhan smiled placing his fingers under her chin. He made her look at him. Holding her gaze he said with a grin, - 'better late than never.'

Anah blushed as he leaned forward, his lips aiming towards her. But before he could kiss her, Anah placed her palms on his chest and pushed him gently. Reyhan wondered if he did something wrong, but is relieved on seeing her shy smile and crimson red cheeks. She looked thousands time prettier than she was.

'There is something else I want to tell.' She said looking back at him. Reyhan nodded. Anah smiled before turning around. Reyhan watched her go into the room. He looked on curiously as she came out within seconds holding a red box. Reyhan is stunned as she got down on one knee. Looking up into his eyes she opened the box revealing a beautiful silver ring.

'I love you very much and I want to spend rest of my life with you. Will you, Mr. Reyhan Siddiqui, urf Mouse, marry me?' Anah asked holding his gaze with confidence.

Reyhan is speechless. There is complete silence except for Rey's overexcited clapping and random baby screams.

After Reyhan had composed himself, he nodded. Then he held her shoulder and made her stand. They looked at each other.

'I will marry you, Anu.' He smiled and kissed her forehead. Anah smiled closing her eyes. Reyhan moved his head, lips inching towards Anah's.

Both felt jittery and nervously excited as their lips hovered inches away from each other. Anah took a step closer and placed her lips over his. As she kissed him, she held his arms and placed them on her waist and then wrapped her arms loosely around his neck.

Reyhan ended the kiss abruptly and looked at her, - 'Oh my God, Anu. I love you.' He said and leaned forward capturing her lips with his again. Anah smiled into the kiss and responded to the kiss. She held the back of his head tightly.

They kissed many times after that and later both sat together on the bed. Their backs pressed against the bedpost. Rey played in the center of the bed, she was well protected by the wall of pillows around her.

Reyhan tilted his head and looked at the top of Anah's head. She had her head resting on his shoulder, their fingers entwined. Anah shifted when she felt Reyhan sigh. She looked at him.

'What happened?' she asked adjusting the Pallu of her saree.

Reyhan simply smiled and pulled her closer. Anah smiled as he pushed aside random strands of hair.

'I can't believe this is happening for real.'

'Why, Mouse?' Anah smiled wrapping her arms loosely around his neck.

'Because I had always dreamt of having you in my arms but in actual reality. Wow! I love you so much.' He said caressing her cheek. Anah smiled closing her eyes briefly.

She looked at him, - 'and I am very lucky to have you love me and fall in love with me.' He admitted

She kissed his cheek and smiled, - 'I love you.' She confessed. Reyhan smiled. They leaned forward for another kiss but was interrupted by Rey's cries. They looked at each other and sighed.
