Recap: Sid talk about his guilt to Yami. Later Parth and Navin slap Sid.

Sid was holding his jaw and shook his head to get over the pain from the blow he received from his friends. He saw them still standing, their fist ready to touch his face again. He took a step back and looked at them squinting his eyes.

Sid: what in the hell did I do that you guys are hell bent on breaking by jaw now ?

Parth: Be happy that we haven't ripped your head from your body. Idiot...

Navin: We should have done that already but you are spared only for Yamini....ohh that poor girl.. How could you cheat her Sid ?

Sid: Nonsense, I can never do that. I have never eyed any girl so far so please don't you dare to blame for something that I haven't done. Whatever it is we can talk like civil people or keep in mind that we are friends so you have every right to question me but not for some crime that I haven't done.

Navi: Ofcourse we will talk ....Will you please tell me why did you get the keys to our apartment on the day of your reception ?

Sid: I....

Parth: Don't start your drama saying you got that to keep it safe and we may miss it in being busy with wedding works.

Parth: Where did you go after the reception ?

Sid: I...I.. did not...go anywhere...

Sid did not meet their eyes and tried to leave from there but Parth stopped him holding his collars.

Nav: Sid, Where did you go after your reception ?

Sid: Fine, I went to buy gift for Yami. Now what is the problem in that ? Sorry I got your apartment keys now will you let me go.

Parth: Yeah you may go please and we are here to tell you that we found a treasure that was hid in our apartment even without our notice. Thanks to the neighbour's daughter who told us about seeing you dragging a trolley to the apartment.

Sid froze in his place and shut his eyes and rubbed his temples in frustration.

Parth: I hope you will now have reason to talk with us. Care to explain how long you hid this from us ?

Nav: Sid, either you speak or ....

Sid: Did you open the trolley ?

Nav: Ofcourse, we couldn't stop ourself from checking if there is some bomb in our home but after seeing the things bomb would be an understatement comparing to what we saw.

Parth: We haven't seen completely but just few things was enough to turn us furious. Enough of us talking and now spill everything idiot.

Sid: Just wait let me see for the customers and then we can speak. I will answer all your questions. Please, there is no running away from you guys now. 

Navin and Parth nodded to his words and Sid left the kitchen to look after the customers. He instructed his staffs to look after the customers for sometime and served some orders to ease their work.

Sid, Navin and Parth sat in a corner table with a latte and Sid was tracing the rim of the cup with his finger while Navin and Parth were looking at him.

Parth: do you want us to bring some priest to take his permission to start the conversation ?

Nav: How long have you been in love ?

Sid: may be even before I knew the meaning of love.

Parth :  What was the reason to keep it so secret from everyone. Were we so distant to you or you couldn't trust us enough to share it with us ?

Sid: You both know that was not the reason then stop accusing me with such words. I hid it because I don't want to hurt anyone with my love. I wanted to drown myself in those feelings and at some time I buried everything.

Nav: Why did you not tell her ?

Sid: How could I tell her when she came to me all shy about the crush for my brother. I could never do anything that might ruin my friendship with her. 

Nav: She never told anyone that she loved your brother Sid and for heaven sake don't you dare to take the tag of your friendship again which is surely not friendship. 

Sid: May be she didn't tell but I didn't want to take away the chances of her falling in love with him just because I fell in love with her. Please you guys stop blaming our friendship. I m in love with her but that doesn't mean she is not my friend. First and foremost she is my friend.

Parth: When Yami clearly never gave any signals of love for your brother what stopped you Sid ?

Sid: But she brought up the agreement of being only friends when we were in college. How do you expect me to propose her when she wants nothing but friendship with me. Atleast I m happy that she is with me as a friend forever.

Nav: You both are married now so what is stopping you now ?

Parth: Dont you dare to drag the agreement, friendship tags again. We will kill you. 

Nav: Sid, please da...its very stupid of you to not expressing your love for silly reasons. There is nothing wrong in friends becoming couples. She will understand you love Sid. Tell her and fix your life.

Parth: May be we will forget that you are in love with her. Just imagine you got married to some random girl and its an arranged marriage. Give a try and love her as a wife and make her fall for you.

Nav: Didn't you feel broken when she accepted to marry Vimal ? 

Sid: I agreed to that proposal because of the crush she had on him. How do you expect me to tell her about my love whe she was so eager to find a girl for me everytime we spoke about marriage.

Parth: I seriously believe there is a misunderstanding or a communication gap between you two. 

Sid: I stopped every boy from getting close to her, I have beaten some boys who were ready to propose her what else should I do.

Parth: Yeah right...You did everything and ended that act with your friendship tag so how do you expect her to feel something for you when you were sure of tagging the friendship word for whatever you did for her.

Nav: Leave everything now tell us one thing. Haven't you seen her as your wife even for once after your marriage ? Did you not feel to be loved by her atleast for once ?

Sid thought of the times he hugged her and the shower he took to control his hormones. Her morning look when he saw her getting ready for the temple was etched in his memory. His trance was broken with Parths' words.

Parth: Did you not feel even once that Yami might be expecting more than friendship from you ? Did she do nothing like a wife would do for her husband ...may be like serving food, taking out your clothes, hugging you, cleaning your room, taking care of your parents, looking after your needs...

Sid: Dude, she has been doing all these for years. She is the one who wakes me most of the days. She makes the bed, we feed each other when we are together, she will pick clothes for me, she never treated my parents differently from hers. That is usual for us

Nav: You guys lived like a husband and wife all these years. Only thing you both did not do is the deed to have a child of yours.

Parth: Problem is that they were doing all these stuff like casually that is the reason he has not realized the difference between a friend and wife. Sid understand she is already living her life as your wife for years and you are living as her husband already. Infact you love her idiot then why don't you express it openly and start your life with her in all means.

Sid: Do you know the fear losing mother or father ? My fear of losing my Yami is equivalent to that. I can never even imagine that. What if she is not ready to accept me more than a friend ? I will die losing her from my life. Do you know why I did not want to join my father's business and start a business of own ?

Parth: It was your dream...

Sid: fuck with that dream. It was Yami's wish to start a cafe. She said that when she was in school and more than that I could not stay away from her even for the time that i will have go to office where she won't be with me but with the business of starting the cafe she will be with me all the time. You call me obsessed or whatever I can't imagine a life without Yami in it. If you ask me I will be happy to have her in my life as a friend rather than losing her for the love I have for her.  Avan illama ennala vaazhave mudiyadhu da ( I cannot live without her man )

Sid entered the kitchen and sat on the chair hiding his face in his palms. Navi and Parth followed him and saw his body shaking as he cried. They hugged him patting his back.

Nav: Sid, We can undestand you. Now stop crying and we will find a solution for this.

Sid wiped his tears and sat without replying.

Parth: Sid, you need not express your love but can you please start seeing her as your wife. Take small steps and try to make her fall for you. If you see even a slightest of signal from her then please try to express your love. Please stop seeing her as a friend. Treat her like a man will treat her woman. You guys will make perfect pair Sid. 

Nav: Stop giving the tag of friendship for whatever you do for her. Tell her you are doing for your wife. Stop taging the word friendship for the life you both are living like husband and wife.

Parth: Stop pranking, teasing her .. I mean don't tease her like you do like a friend. Tease her like husband does with his wife, if your teasing will make her blush then you are on right way to her heart Sid.

Nav: Appreciate all her efforts for you. compliment her beauty instead of teasing her. Cross the thin line that is stopping you Sid.

Parth: Do whatever we say and sure you will see the difference.

Nav: Idhellam sonna apram illa vendam nanga friends ah irukkom, naa risk edukka matten nu sonne, apram vilaivugal bayangarama irukkum. ( After saying all this if you back off saying that we will be friends and you are not ready risk then be ready for the consequences. )

Parth: Say it directly Navin that he should divorce her and let her free from this life.

Sid grabbed Parth's collar and pushed him down on the floor. Parth got up dusting his pants and sat next to him wrapping his arms around his shoulder.

Parth: Machi, (dude) She cannot live like a married avvaiyar. She need a family of her own. A loving husband, children. Her parents and even your parents will die of guilt by marrying her to you if you decide to live like this forever. 

Nav: Rememer Vimal and Nivedha will be happy in their life. They will have kids and Yami will be watching everything but poor girl will live with her friend not her husband. Everytime when you go out she will look at couples who will happily roam around with their kids.

Parth: Sid avlo kalnenjakran illada.. avanukku puriyum...avala kashta pada vida mattan ( Sid is not stone hearted man...he will understand..he won't let her worry )

Nav: Sooner the better you express your love for her. You will never regret Sid.. Do you understand ?

Parth: Will you start your life fresh as Yami's husband ? For your sake and for your Yami's sake. She deserve a better,happy and content life.

Sid nodded his head and the duo felt happy for the response. They hugged him ruffling his hair.

Did anyone expect this from Sid ?

Most of you were curious to know the reason why Sid was beat by hos friends so I have published this chapter. His Eternal Obsession will updated tomorrow.
