Krithi's POV :

I closed my eyes to cool myself and I opened them suddenly when I felt a shiver ran down my spine because of someone's breath on my lips.

But why will I feel that on my lips when the kiss is on the cheek right!!!

I realized that Hruday cupped my cheeks with his hands and his nose is touching mine.

But whyyyy...

Then I felt some spark on my lips that felt soo foreign yet somewhat familiar to me.

That's when my naive mind understood that he is kissing me on my lips.

Unlike the first one which is much like an accidental peck, he is kissing me this time in a much passionate way or should I say in a possessive way with him tightly gripping my neck.

What the hell !!! 😫
why is he holding me that tight...

I can hear the people around cheering and hooting. Some of them are even throwing sarcastic comments on us.

Myra shouted --- "Hruday !!! Can you stop your kiss today and leave some of the action for your first night... " And all the others started laughing.

But this Hruday is not loosening his grip on me.

Then varun replied "I think we should give them a little privacy?!" I heard everyone moving away, maybe to the other side of the pool.

This is quite embarrassing...

I placed my hands on his chest and tried to push him. But he didn't even budge a little!!!

He placed his hand on the nape of my neck and pulled my face even more closer if possible...

I can feel some weird feeling in me!! But what are these feelings that are unknown to me...

He left me once he ran out of his breath. I too struggled for my breath.

My hands are still on his chest. I held him as support till I regain my normal breath.

He has this smug look on his face.What's his problem yaar!!!

He again pulled me closer. I tried to push him away with all the strength I have.

But like always he won the battle. Just as I thought he is going to kiss me again, he moved his lips near my ear. He whispered in my ears something which brought goosebumps on my skin.

"Sweet heart!!! Our Wedding rituals will start tomorrow. So be prepared for the life you are going to share with me... " with that he left a small kiss behind my ear and left to the opposite side of pool where our friends are having a little chit chat.

I stood there rooted thinking - this is really happening. I am really going to marry this Arrogant bastard!!!!

I followed him to our cousins. I found Bala and tapaswi sitting in a separate area.

Both seem to be talking with each other but their focus is on their respective crushes😏.

I'm really mad at Bala for encouraging the kissey scene. I walked towards them and they decided to drag their eyes from their crushes.

I was about to scold Bala about his behavior back there when tapaswi said -- "I'm mad at you, Krithi. How could you do this to me? I had to hear about your first kiss from someone else and not from you, My best buddy!!! I cannot believe you kept it a secret from me. I hate you."

Oh here comes her usual drama!!!When will she behave like a mature person?!

"It's not like that....." I started but she cut me off saying, "You don't have to explain me everything that happens in your life. After all I am just a colleague to you right. Go on keeping secrets from me,Build a building with those!!!
I don't care.Why would I? You are not that Krithika Sen, my best friend but Krithika Aurora, to be wife of Hruday Aurora, " She said and turned her head away.

God!!!! Such a drama queen. Seriously!!! Building with secrets???

"But I liked the kissing session today. That's really romantic and totally hot." She said and winked at Bala and they hi fived.

So it was their dubious plan!!!

"What are you thinking of yourself? Both of you? Why did you guys made us kiss?! That too in front of everyone..." I asked them in an accusing tone.

'They just asked you to kiss, but Hruday is the person who took it to next level'😒... My intelligent brain pointed out.

" It's just our way of revenge for keeping it from us, why are you so angry anyways? It's not your first time right?" Bala said smirking at me.

"I think it's not even her second or third Bala," stupid said with a smirk identical to Bala.

Why did all the people I know start smirking at me??

Should I tell them that this was my first kiss?? If I say so, they'll interrogate me about Hruday's words earlier.

Then I have to bring up that accidental peck scene in club.

Then they'll demand me why I didn't tell them that day itself.

Then again I'll have to explain myself and make excuses.

My mind is filled up with a lot of what if's and then's. But I'm totally tired and not in a mood to explain them right now.

I'll let them think whatever they want. There's nothing wrong in a couple kissing before marriage right.

Anyways I can't change their minds. Even if I try to explain them they will just tease me that I am too shy to disclose everything to them and all.

But did they think I will leave them that easily...

Nah!!!

I will surely get my piece of revenge from them.

I think its time for Krithika Sen, the most dangerous women to come out and not the sweet little me present here.

I'll make sure that Bala will regret even saying the word 'kiss'.

Now it was my turn to smirk😏.

Looking at my face Bala frowned.

Guess what, he got the hint that he is going to be my next target today, in this party.

I looked around and spotted Sne somewhere with payal.

"Sne...... There's something we would like to talk with you," I shouted and waved her over.

She came and sat in the empty chair beside me.
"What is it krithi? By the way your kiss is the hottest thing I have ever seen in my life." She said.

Argghhhhh!!!!!

"You'll experience it soon and I'm sure you will name it the hottest thing then," I said looking at Bala and he blushed which is something Sne should do.

"No way. I won't even let a male fly touch me, let alone kiss.So forget about it and tell me, what you people want to discuss with me," Sne said.

Bala and stupid are looking at me confused but I smirked at them and said -- "Do you remember, one year back on Jan 22nd you were supposed to attend a blind date and that guy said so many things about you?"

"Yes. That idiot thought that I already have a boyfriend and I'm in a living relationship with him."

"How could he think like that?
My parents thought he was a nice guy and forced me for a blind date with him as I'm not interested in marriage or boys in that aspect."

"If he didn't want that marriage he could have just denied it or told his parents.
Why blame me?"

"I could have slapped him if it's not for my parent's reputation," Sne said with anger written all over her face.

she is looking like a wild cat and even then Bala is admiring her. I rolled my eyes.

"If you cannot slap the guy who blamed you then you can slap the guy who told all those lies to him in the first place, " I said and looked at Bala.

I can see the sweat forming on his forehead.

Yess!!!

Bala is the one who told all that bullshit to the guy who is supposed to date Sne and made his line clear.

He used his charms which we did not even know existed in the first place and made the guy believe all the nonsense he sprouted.

He was actually referring to this incident when he told me that he would help me in canceling my date with Hruday.

"What? Someone told all that shit to him? How do you know? Who the hell is he?" Sne asked.

"Bala...." I paused and the look Bala gave is worth more than million dollars.

"........ Do you remember what he told?" I continued.

He gave me confused yet pleading look.

"We met Ansh, the other day, you remember? In the mall. When we asked him why he said like that about our Sneha he told that her own boyfriend said all that to him."

I pinched the bridge of my nose as if remembering and said that 'He didn't know the man's name but he said something about his appearance. That man is same height and personality as our Bala, he is a doctor and a resident of Mumbai it seems. We can find him out with some more clues but it has been a long time right."

"Of course we can and when I get to know who he is, I'll strangle him with my own hands, hang him to a tree and punch him like a boxer. I'll make him pay!!!" Sne said with all evilness bottled up in her.

Bala is as pale as a ghost whereas stupid and I can't control our laughter, but we tried our best not to burst out.

"There are many doctors in mumbai. How can you find him? And we don't even know his name. There is very little possibility," Bala said in a very low voice.

"There will be only some specimens like him taking into consideration that he is of your personality. And we can take help of Ansh for recognising him. Nothing is impossible for Sneha. I will make sure his days end soon, " Sne said with determination.

"Thanks for telling me this krithi. Inform me if you find anything about him and help me if I need."

"Anytime Sne!!!" I said and she left.

As soon as she is out of hearing area from us, Me and stupid started laughing while Bala is glaring at us.

After that we chatted for sometime, while my mind is busy in plotting against stupid.

Now onto my second mission, I watched Stupid walking towards Manik.

My mind immediately got struck with an idea. I sneaked towards them so that I can listen to their conversation.

By the time I reached there she is going on and on about how good the hotel is.

Seriously I don't understand where she is heading to with this conversation.

Then she praised him for selecting a good name like INTRIGUE for the hotel.

Her never ending nonsense came to an end when she suddenly said, "I'm intrigued by you. "

He gave a look of shock to her and she looked as shocked as him.

Then she took one bold move by asking him about his relationship status.

Good. This is the right time for my plan to work.

I moved out of my hiding place royally and walked towards her holding my phone.

""Hey....Tapaswi... Your BF is calling me saying that you didn't lift his call since morning. He is soo worried about you. Come!!! he is on line, "" with that I gave her my phone.

"Who? I don't have a boyfriend." She said frowning.

"Tapaswi, fights are common in every relationship. Don't break your relation just because of some Ego issues,believe me he is dying just to hear your voice." I said with fake sadness and sympathy.

"Yaa. I know how it feels to have a breakup for nothing but Ego's. Dont ruin his life just like my love did to me. Don't make him a victim of love like me. Just go, talk and solve your problems. I'm sure after clearing your problems you'll be thankful to me for saying this." Manik said sincerely whereas stupid is staring at him like he grew horns.

Well,well, so you can clearly know the name suits her.

She looked at my phone and guess there is no one on line there.

She glanced at Manik who gave her an encouraging smile with thumbs up and we both left from there leaving her shocked.

Hehe!!

I can feel her digging holes on my back with her glare. But I successfully dodged her wrath the whole night.

"Time to go to bed. Especially bride and groom. You must have complete sleep to look beautiful tomorrow, " Myra said.

We all departed to our designated rooms.

The next day is a complete chaos. All the rituals went on peacefully without any problem.

Bala and I dumped stupid's face in the haldi plate. She was running behind Bala but bumped with Manik who was there to check on arrangements.

After that she started her drama saying Manik must have thought she is mad looking at her face. All of us laughed at her.

Then mehendi went good too. Hruday's name was intertwined in the design.

I am sure he may not find it in near future because even I don't know where it is!!! The less I care for!!!

Sangeet took place in a traditional way. The groom and the bride had separate sangeet functions.

Everyone danced and I too joined with my family and friends. That night I could not sleep peacefully.

I could not help but think what is going to happen tomorrow.

Tomorrow is the day when I will become Krithika Aurora.

Tomorrow is the day when I have to leave my house and become some one else's daughter also.

Tomorrow is the day when my dad will officially hand me over to Hruday.

That thought saddened me.

I couldn't sleep with all these thoughts running through my head.

I decided to take a walk to clear my head. So I wore the hoodie over my PJ's and started walking through the corridor.

I walked to the room where my parents are staying.

I was about to knock on their door but stopped myself as I did not want to disturb their sleep.

Then I continued walking in the direction where I am sure there is a balcony.

When I reached,there is some one standing in the balcony looking at the sky.

Someone I could recognize even with a blind fold.

"Did sleep decide to strike on both of us dad? " saying that I walked towards the railing and stood beside him.

He chuckled and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

I laid my head on his chest and placed my hands around him. I could feel the familiar warmth spreading in my body.

Whenever my dad hugs me like this I feel a sense of security and love.

I am going to miss these hugs after tomorrow.

How much I hate that Egoist Hruday for taking me away from my dad.

We just stood there looking at the city sleeping. Right now some girls out there are being comforted by their mothers as they had nightmares.

Some girls are receiving a good night kiss from their dads after a bed time story.

Whereas here I am having a father - daughter moment for the last time before I change my last name.

I so envy the other girls right now. I still remember the pride in my parent's eyes whenever I got good marks or when someone compliments
Me.

I also remember their happiness when I accepted the marriage proposal.

"Dad, are you happy with this marriage? "I asked him.

"Ofcourse,I am happy Krithi. I know Hruday is a good guy and he can keep you happy. But the question is are you happy?"

"Answer this question honestly Krithi!!! Because if you are having any second thoughts I will cancel the marriage. Nothing is more important to me than your happiness princess, " my dad asked me seriously looking straight into my eyes.

I am overwhelmed with his words. But I know what happens if I say no now.

"I'm more happy that you could imagine dad, you never failed to give me the best" I said to make his mind clear of all doubts and guilt about my marriage.

"Krithi, I never belived in love at first time but dear, when I held you for the first time in my hands I instantly fell in love with you. My love for you is something which only increases with time, and I love you till my last breath. Tomorrow I will hand your responsibility to Hruday. "

"I know you alone can handle your responsibility. But you know 'companion', is the one who remains by your side when necessary and support you through your entire life."

"Luckily I have your mother, who is the best gift of my life, who gave me an even better gift... YOU- AS OUR DAUGHTER. You will still be my daughter. You will leave our house tomorrow. But it will always be your house Krithi. Never hesitate before asking anything from us. I love you, princess, " he looked at me with so much love proving his words.

I saw a single tear slide from his eye. I quickly wiped the tear away and kissed his cheek.

"I love you too dad. I will always be your princess. "I hugged him tightly to stop my own tears.

I felt him press a kiss on my hair. We stood there for some more time...

After a while my dad said, "Go to your room and sleep now baby doll. You need your beauty sleep. Would not want the bride looking like zombie in her own wedding right. "

I just nodded and started leaving the place but stopped at the threshold. "What about you dad? Would it be okay if the father of the bride looks like a zombie in his daughter's wedding, " I threw his comment right back at him raising an eyebrow.

He chuckled hearing that and walked out along with me.

I slept with only one wish,
'To kill the person who created the tradition of girl leaving their family after marriage.'

Maybe he never had a daughter.....😞...
