SCENE 14

The scene opens with HARRY and LOUIS sitting across from each other in the dining portion of The Iron Closet. Few guests sit around them and the guests that are there are spread out around the dining facility to allow each party their own privacy.

It's obvious that both of them have dressed up a little for their date. HARRY wears a white feminine looking blouse and Louis wears a button-down with a tie. They both look classy and put together without being too dressed up. Stubble has started to dot Louis' chin as if he missed his last shave.

(LOUIS examines the menu)

HARRY

What're you thinking about?

(LOUIS looks up from his menu and shrugs. A moment of tiredness can be seen in his eyes as soon as he drops the menu, but he quickly covers it up with a smile.)

LOUIS

(sighing) It's just a lot. I've got a million emails from people asking for a story and wanting to talk to my manager. I don't even have a manager! I'm grateful and all, but I swear I spent all day answering emails.

(HARRY smiles and glances at the menu)

HARRY

I meant what were you thinking about for dinner. (laughs)

(LOUIS' face falls as if he's just realized what HARRY meant. One of his hands shoots up to his forehead to rub out a headache.)

LOUIS

Of course. Yeah. I'm thinking about doing the All-American burger.

(HARRY wrinkles his nose as he takes LOUIS' hand from across the table into his own. He gives it a gentle caress as LOUIS speaks.)

LOUIS

I don't know how you do that vegan thing. (laughs) You're a better man than I am.

(HARRY throws LOUIS a small smile.)

HARRY

I think I'm going to have the kale salad, myself.

(pause)

HARRY

What're you filming this week for your YouTube? You haven't mentioned anything at all.

(LOUIS blows air and rolls his eyes as if the thought completely slipped his mind. He glances at the ceiling for a moment before shrugging.)

LOUIS

I've got absolutely no idea. I've got to figure something out, though. I've got thousands of new subscribers now that are wanting some new content. Who knew how stressful this would be?

(HARRY shakes his head as he attempts to hold back a smile.)

HARRY

(agreeing) Yeah, it's way more stressful than people think. One wrong move and it's national headlines.

(LOUIS immediately becomes aware of what he said. He sags his shoulders and laughs.)

LOUIS

Of course, I wasn't even thinking. You would know about that better than anyone else.

(HARRY shrugs it off.)

(LEIGH-ANNE approaches their table wearing the same uniform as before. The golden bikini set looks even better against her, now tanned, dark skin. Her hair is in braids now down her back.)

(As she gets closer to their table, HARRY draws his hand from LOUIS.)

LEIGH-ANNE

I knew I recognized you! You two cuties came in here a couple weeks back! I know I'm not supposed to say anything, but I was hoping I'd see you two in here again!

(She tosses both of them a huge smile as he pulls out her notepad.)

LEIGH-ANNE

Well, what'll it be?

(LOUIS opens his mouth to speak, but HARRY gets to it first.)

HARRY

I'll have the kale salad and he'll have the All-American burger.

(LEIGH-ANNE writes it down and collects the menus from LOUIS. She gives them one last smile before walking away.)

(As soon as LEIGH-ANNE walks away, HARRY pulls out a small notebook from his pocket and sets it on the table between them.)

LOUIS

What's that? A journal or somethin'?

(HARRY flips the cover open and it becomes obvious what it is. We can see that the only thing on the pages are autographs as HARRY flips through the notebook. Each autograph gets one page and only one autograph is on each page. Some are messy while others are swirly while others are clean and neat.)

(HARRY stops flipping as he comes to an empty page. Zendaya's autograph sits on the page next to the blank one. LOUIS' eyes nearly bug out of his head as he sees the name.)

LOUIS

(shocked) You just carry that thing around with you wherever you go?

(HARRY chuckles)

HARRY

No, but I bring it with me when I'm going somewhere a celebrity will be.

(LOUIS is clearly confused.)

LOUIS

What celebrity is here? Did I miss something?

(LOUIS starts to look around the tables. He stops as HARRY places a hand on top of his.)

HARRY

Love, I want your autograph.

(pause)

(It takes LOUIS a moment to process what HARR says. HARRY pushes a pen and the notebook in LOUIS direction. LOUIS stares at it as if it's a cow with three heads.)

LOUIS

I'm not a celebrity...

(HARRY rolls his eyes and pushes the pen even closer to LOUIS' hand.)

HARRY

(correcting) Not yet.

HARRY

Let's just say that I see something in you.

(LOUIS rolls his eyes and tries to fight back a blush.)

LOUIS

Come on, Harry, I've got no business signing next to bloody Zendaya anyway! Couldn't have given me a better spot to sign in? Maybe next to another low-ranking person?

(HARRY thinks about this for a moment.)

HARRY

You can sign on the inside cover, but Khloe Kardashian's autograph is on the first page. (laughing) Not sure that's any better.

(LOUIS' face turns red. He hesitatingly picks up the pen and ponders over the paper for a minute. After a moment, he sighs and allows the pen to fall from his hand.)

LOUIS

I don't even know what my autograph is!

HARRY

Just write your name, but make it looked sloppy and rushed. It takes a while to figure out what yours is. I just wrote my name for years before I figured out a better way to do it.

(LOUIS sighs then picks up the pen again. He looks at the paper for a moment before scribbling his name down, taking up a large portion of the paper in the process. When he's finished, he slides the notebook and pen back over to HARRY.)

HARRY

Thank you, Love. Can't wait to sell this one day. Maybe I'll get millions?

(LOUIS rolls his eyes.)
