71~ Such Entanglement In My Life.

ADBEEN PALACE, EGYPT.

The room is now pin drop silent, no one dared to breathe harshly afraid the whole attention will be yawed to them. Suhayr is unconsciously clinging onto Sa'eed's arm like her life depend on it and that is only because it is the only thing helping her stay sane. How could she be sane when she is in a room where everyone looks familiar or look like her and in reality of it, she has never met anyone of them. Not even the photos in the media could make her feel this connection with them so why the hell is she feeling so many things around them suddenly? She's met a lot of people she only ever saw their pictures but she has never felt anything as such, the intensity is too much. The feeling of knowing them all along, the feeling of belonging, the sheer concern that took over her which was only felt for her foster mother when she fell sick.

She has so many questions lining up her throat but she kept quite and let the Shehu and his wife lead them to their chairs to get the dinner started. She don't feel embarrassed for leashing at them like that about the woman health but is angry that they are still not doing anything to her. Coughing blood can never be natural, who knows what you'd find after each check up? She strongly believes that what they are doing isn't the right thing but then again, the Great Royal Consort herself waved them off when they made a move to stand.

Maybe she alone knows what she is feeling hence, she don't want anyone getting troubled for her. Why did Suhayr get so defensive over the woman that looks like her and her foster mother? She don't understand any of it but she knew very well that that royal family is somehow entangled with her or her foster mother. Her foster mother probably since she only called out the name letting it echo and bounce on the walls in the banquet hall. Her last names seems to have place in the woman's life for she is still staring at her with emotions Suhayr can't place, longing?

Suhayr wanted to look around the other occupants of the room but felt like something is off with all of them and she needs damn answers before she goes crazy. Sa'eed didn't let go of her hand even as they sit opposite the Egyptian royals. Her nails are digging crescents in his palm but he didn't wince nor show any move of discomfort. She is not used to being so silent her whole life but she feels intimidated to talk around the room for some odd reasons. None of them are giving off this dangerous vibe, they are just emanating power of royalty, nothing else.

"Why do you ask about Imraan Khalid? Are you somehow related to my mother?" Suhayr's didn't know when her voice bolted out from her tightly closed lips only hearing it cutting through the air, slicing through the silence in the room.

"She is my twin sister." The Great Royal Consort announced and if Suhayr wasn't sitting, she definitely would've fallen down. Her head should be bleeding rapid blood by now but since she is sitting, her head lulled closer to Sa'eed but she didn't lie down on him, she is just shocked.

"She never told me anything about having a twin sister! This must be a joke." Suhayr found her voice at the last minute and spat out those words. There is no way she can argue with this woman being her foster mother's twin because they look ridiculously alike and maybe that is why she also looks like them, people always say she looks like her foster mother when she was alive.

Suhayr spat out those words only because when Varisha was alive, she never cease to tell her how evil the rest of her family were. She's always hated talking about her family tree and Suhayr never pushed her into telling her some more. There are no photographs of any of her family members in their home except the selfies Varisha enlarged and place in their home. She still has them back in Nigeria and one of them which she can't keep because that was when they bonded up in a park together, she brought it with her. Some think she is heartless but she misses her mother all the time, all the darn time.

"She wouldn't tell you about us since she despise us more than anyone. I didn't know when she left the country and don't know what has happened till three days ago. There are so many secrets behind you that it's time for you to know now. You have the right to know about who you really are like I found out days ago." The Great Royal Consort's voice is so smooth, silent and filled with aristocracy, Suhayr knew this is her chance to find out everything about her and those familiar places. Could she be related to the royals of Egypt?Ha, that sounds absurd even to her ears.

"You can share it here with us, we are all family right?" Another woman who is dressed in something similar to her foster mother's twin chirped from the left side of the Pharaoh and for a moment there, Suhayr forgot about everyone in the room but the woman who looks like her.

The woman is none other than the Great Wife, Malak. She is the Pharaoh's second wife after her foster mother's twin and she looks much more finer than the media posted. So many people hate her which is why they posted her ugly photos and seeing her now, Suhayr knew she is beautiful. There is slyness in her sharp small nose, cunning eyes that are winged with eyeliner and her lips thinned in a hideous smile. She is definitely enjoying what is going on and wants to put her co-wife on the hot spot and she didn't even glance at her as she talks.

"Should we do it here?" The Great Royal Consort asked the Pharaoh who is too quite for Suhayr's liking. He didn't say a thing since the pleasantries and he seems to be sweating for some odd reason. Suhayr wants to know everything they are hiding from her, they are not talking about her foster mother but her!

With a nod from the Pharaoh, she took a deep breath and let her eyes settle on Suhayr's. It is as if she is trying to communicate with her through her eyes while showing so many emotions Suhayr is not getting the head of. She wants to understand what it means but she can't understand a thing from that at all. Her eyes are watering and she started to feel that concern again taking over her mind and senses. All she wants to do is comfort her and give her reassuring squeeze on her shoulder like Sa'eed is doing but Suhayr is never worried about anyone and she won't start then. If she soften to them, they might continue to hide her identity and take advantage of her kindness.

"Nineteen years ago..." The woman coughed again, her hands moving to close her lips with a napkin and bring it down filled with redness. The napkin is not white anymore but red, Suhayr's eyes bulged out as she stare in horror. Is that this woman's life? She seem sick but she also looks used to it attached to her.

"I should do it, just rest." The Pharaoh gently placed his hand on her shoulder affectionately, stopping her from talking further. Anyone could see the love he has for his first wife and the distress that took over his eyes whenever she coughed like that of lose her breathing for even a second. His eyes are ever so vigilant on her, monitoring her every move.

"Okay." She breathed, her eyes closing slowly then opened after five seconds like she is trying to keep her thoughts off away from disturbing ones and bring back her energy. She smiled at Suhayr as she could feel her eyes on her, she just can't help wanting to swallow everything there is to take in from the woman in front of her.

"Nineteen years ago, something tragic happened in the palace and I hope you are going to forgive me for all that took place. It happened when you were born...

"Where can we meet?" A manly voice ask from the other end of the phone which Najaah is holding tightly around her hand in excitement, this is it, this is the man to fulfill her happiness.

"At Fresh Fest around three o'clock which is only an hour away. Don't be late please, I'll meet you there." And she hung up the phone being too excited to hold her squeal anymore so she roared and jumped on the bed totally forgetting about her younger sister sitting on the bed reading her book like always.

"What is it now?" Nabilah asked her older sister, removing her glasses again to give her another stinky eyes for interrupting her in her own room. Her room hasn't been renovated since she left the house married and mostly lives in the castle now she feels like she can use her room whenever she wants.

"I finally have someone to marry me and divorce me whenever I want, can you believe this? There is nothing that can stop me from going back to my husband now, absolutely no one!" Najaah grinned maniacally while moving her hands around in triumph. This is her chance to have Sa'eed, even Allah is with her in this and she shall accomplish all she wants and more.

"I told you that this is shirk haven't I? You can't get married to another man solely because you want him to divorce you after sometime to go back with your former husband, that is wrong! If you do this, then you shall see wrong your whole life. Be careful." Nabilah warned and instead of leaving the room for her again like last time they talked about it, she sat back down on the bed comfortably, it's her room after all.

"You can't tell me what to do and Allah forgives and He will forgive me too. Everything is fair in love and war. Keep living in your fantasy fairytale, when the real life hits you, you won't know where to tackle it from." Najaah glared at her because she wants nothing to ruin her mood at that moment and she has an hour to get ready and meet up with this man.

"I hope I won't be there when your life gets ruined." Nabilah yelled angrily, she hates her sister for being so unislamic about a lot of things. If only she has stayed in her father's house and went to Islamic school instead of mingling around with the royals and wasting her time away in the phone doing YouTube videos.

Najaah brushed off her sister and made her way to the closet which held little of her clothes and she hopes she gets one to impress this guy enough to marry her. She don't care if he wants to consummate the marriage or not, she just needs to marry him, get divorced and leave his life for good. Going back to Sa'eed is her first priority, nothing is greater than being back in her husband's arms, her Angel face. As soon as he hears about her divorce, he will definitely rush back to her and leave that stupid gangster hanging. He loves her, he still does but is trying to think he's moved on.

She won't have problem with Suhayr if Sa'eed is on her side and she is dead sure her mother in-law will handle her before then. As soon as she gets back with Sa'eed, happiness will be filled in her life like no other and she won't make any mistake to aggravate him. She will make sure to fill both their lives with joy, get pregnant for real and have a baby to complete their family. She's made the mistake of not falling pregnant instantly, she won't make it this time around. Having a baby will be her top priority because it will make their bond stronger.

She hummed to a song while removing the outfit she wants to wear. A grape layered skirt is what covered her lower body, tightening around her curves then a lavender Mandarin collar and raglan sleeves shirt. She sat down to apply her makeup to perfection knowing she is a public face and she might not know who would want to click a selfie with Naja'atu Harris Dantati. Some people think she is some highly mighty God so that always makes her head grow twice it's size especially after being around the royals.

She took her recently bought grape Louis Vuitton round toe pumps and slip them on then Hermes envelope bag to complete the look. Done with everything, she wrapped a silk veil around her in cute muffler then left the room to look for her mother. When she didn't find the woman anywhere around the house, she took her car and just left the house. She will call her and tell her about leaving for the restaurant downtown where her soon to be husband must probably be waiting for her.

Arriving at the said location, she turn off the engine of her car and made her way inside with that mighty arrogance surrounding her. She entered inside, her eyes searching for the man she just talked to minuted ago but since she don't know how he looks, she kept looking around for any single man sitting on one of the tables. Almost all the sits are occupied with either couples, girls or boys around so that means he should be alone on his chair but where the hell is he and how does he look like?

She knew it was risky planning something with someone you don't know his name or how he even looks like. She spread the words to only few of her friends that she know they will support her and one of them gave him her number. It totally slipped her mind to ask for his name or what he looks like even if it is only his skin complexion. Now she is standing like a fish outside water for the first time not knowing where right or left is. Someone waved at her from the back and she trudged there without thinking, this should be him.

The man stood up when she was closer to him and she is not disappointed with his height, either close to Sa'eed or a bit taller. She don't care about their physical appearance too, she just wants someone to do her dirty work while she does the rest. But he is fairly handsome for someone ready to do such bitter work. She thought it would be only rugged thugs wanting money for drugs but who is she to say no to a handsome man? It just came as a bonus if she wants to make Sa'eed jealous of her own new relationship.

He is not dark skinned just above chocolate, his nose not as long as Sa'eed's but definitely not ugly one. His lips are very thick, thicker than she would want but it will just have to do. She sat down opposite where he is with a wide smile, she won't want him thinking she is rude and leave her hanging. Searching for what she is looking for is hard and if this one slips off her fingers, she is dead sure she won't get anyone close to him or suffer and not get any.

"Hello." She greeted, keeping her designer bag in front of her on the table in between them. This is it, where her future is hanging.

"Hi!" He also has a beautiful boyish grin to make anyone swoon but she has seen way finer ones to drool over that.

"My name is Najaah." She move her hands forward, he stared at it like he didn't want to shake it but then took it after awhile, engulfing her smaller hand.

"The name is Safwan Nuhu soon to be Mrs. Safwan!" His smile was beautiful but his words makes Najaah raise her brow liking his confidence. She wants men like this for her dirty work not those shy ones that will make her mouth ache.

"Nice one you've got there. Did she tell you about the payment and all other arrangements?" She took her hand back when he didn't make any move to let it go. She don't mind letting him hold it longer but people will stare at them.

"The divorce and amount? Yes, we've talked about all that and I agree to everything." He shrugged relaxing back on his chair, letting his long legs stretch underneath the table.

His fashion sense isn't bad too, just a little more designer makeover to make it more believable. He is wearing a pine long sleeves polo shirt, washed out jeans and old but polished brunette sandals.

"Good. I will give you half the payment now then give you some to get yourself a few more new clothes. My dad will call you very soon so dress up like any man wanting to ask for a lady's hand in marriage. Impress my dad in every way and I'll make sure he doesn't dig out anything about you." She let out a small smile while removing a cheque book and write down handsome amount of money for him.

And then she closed each and every way for problem. It's just a matter of days now standing between her and Sa'eed, little patience and her dream shall be fulfilled.

Sa'eed, I'm coming for you, she grinned.
