[M/N] hummed to himself as he began drawing over the original design in his book, he looked at the colors he was adding to the lovely shirt he made with short shorts. [M/N] blows off the extra shavings and looked over it, he nods to himself at the approval as the door creaks open. He stops and glanced to see his husband, and rolled his eyes. [M/N] moved down to shade in the shorts a bit on the model, using the one he did on Xingqiu since he did wear the shortest of shorts under his top. 

Ajax looked to his husband and then slowly began undressing, placing the blood and sweat-stained clothes in the hamper. He could do it later, maybe. He removed his mask and sits it on the dresser, hanging on the little post thing that [M/N] made on their first date. He removed his gloves and sit them on the dresser as well before looking at his silver ring. It glints a bit before sliding it off and placing it next to the gloves. "Hello to you too."

"Mhm."

Ajax sighs quietly, he had been a bad husband, the worst. Date nights he could always make up for, missing gifts he could buy, but the expressions on his husband's face was the worst. He just had to see her and take trips with them, all in the name of the Tsarita. 

"I killed three camps of Hilichurls today, then some paperwork. It's was so hard today."

"That's nice dear."

Ajax bit his lower lip a bit before pulling his pajama pants up and moved to lay on his side. [M/N] didn't even glance at him. He began laying down but a squeal escaped from beside [M/N]. He quickly pulled the blanket to see the Hydro slime blinking up at him with an annoyed expression with Kuai laying on top of it. His dark ears twitched and seemed to glare at him, Ajax gave a confused look. They didn't sleep in the bed.

"Someone had to be in that empty spot, if it's not my husband, that I married, then the boys could take it." [M/N] said as he drew in the details, some Callie Lillies with some white and yellow. The shirt was designed that had coattails from behind. 

"[M/N] please...I know I haven't been a good husband." 

"The worst."

"But please, once my mission is done, we can relax and maybe take a trip home for a visit? You'll love seeing my family again." Ajax tried as [M/N] placed the pencil down and slammed the book loudly, spooking the slime and Kuai off the bed and to their beds. "Babe-"

"Don't, I don't care what your mission is about and how you go on about it. I can ignore the less attentive touches, that's fine but once you start neglecting me out of spite for another woman-"

"Don't-"

"Don't what? Badmouth your little girlfriend?" Ajax leans up and towers over [M/N] a bit and he stops talking as he saw the baby blue eyes he adored glare down at him.

"I'm married to you, for a reason, you're the one that has my ring on your finger. Please, why would I ever leave you for a simple woman like her?" [M/N] felt his lower lip wobble a bit and his eyes turn a bit misty and watery, Ajax drops the stern act and gently pulled [M/N] against his chest. He rubbed his back and [M/N] tried to wipe the tears away. "I'm sorry..."

"I'm sorry too...I just...feel so bad that maybe...I'm turning into a bad husband...and-" [M/N] hiccuped as Ajax shushed him, pulling him closer.

Ajax never let go of [M/N], comforting him at this moment. Maybe [M/N] was actually overreacting and reaching for the chance to blame Ajax? Maybe he was just being a dick to Ajax?

Just maybe

[M/N] woken up at the usual time, and to bath before moving downstairs for breakfast before heading off to work. He yawns as he entered the kitchen only to see breakfast was made and his stomach did flips, little butterflies as he saw it. He smiled to himself, this had to be a good sign. It had to be!

[M/N] sits down and began eating, they were warm so it was okay to eat them. He hummed to himself as he began eating the hotcakes, humming as they went down smoothly as he ate. They were so sweet too! Just how he loved them.

After breakfast, he changed, shutting the door behind him. He glanced at the sky as it darken, it looked like it was gonna rain. Maybe Ajax would come home if the rain bothered his field missions! They could talk and have a nice cup of tea too as Zhongli showed him. [M/N] began walking towards his work, feeling the wind caress his cheeks as people began packing up their stands a bit. [M/N] glanced to the sky and saw how dark and cloudy it was turning, the butterflies in his stomach began turning into some sort of ache. His eyes narrowed a bit, "Bad weather..just bad weather."

The store was open but the usual outfits that would stand outside were in, good, no ruined product. He entered, placing his bag behind the counter, and saw his assistant, one of them looking worried as they kept looking over inventory, their eyes glancing to the window. "What's the matter?"

"Oh! Sir [M/N], it's...it's just my husband is out to sea at the moment and returning today but..with the sudden rain..and possible thunder, I...I'm just a bit nervous for him." He said as he toyed with the pencil in his hand, clenching it in his hand a bit. [M/N] glanced around but no one had come in for clothes or fabrics, "Sorry-"

"Why don't you go wait by the docks then? I have everything settled for the moment..the second he's found or came in, then you may return." The male that held the clipboard smiles as a look of relief came over him. He sits it down before moving to the doors. 

"Thanks, Sir [M/N]! I'll come back soon!" The assistant takes off as rain began hitting the streets.

[M/N] sighs to himself and prayed a bit, even though the Geo Archon was dead, he hoped his husband was safe in the rain. That Captain Kaeya was having fun with this advantage and that everyone was okay in this weather. They were not answered as a loud rumbling came outside, it startled him and things began falling off the shelves of his store. Mostly the decore, he tried catching some but they continue to fall. The rain was pouring harder, his eyes widen as he saw some leaking into the room. He takes a deep breath before finally sticking his head out. He saw something in the ocean area, the more the movement, the water ran down the streets. [M/N] felt some even reach the store and thunder boomed in the sky. 

People ran by, screaming about something, his heart stopped as he took a clear view. His eyes widen as he saw the sea serpent roaring as it came out of the ocean, four heads shaking and roaring.

"Osial..."

It roared as the water began coming up the streets and his heart stops, he moved to the counter and picked up his bag with the book, everything was going to be ruined! He moved to his office and took a look for his things, his hands scrambling as he collect his things into his bag. Most of his designs into his bag, his contracts, and then his wedding drawing picture. He could feel the water coming up to his thighs now and almost drops his father's necklace. [M/N] takes a deep breath as his pants were soaked and everything was getting wet.

"[M/N]! What are you doing!? Have you gone insane!" [M/N] felt himself being lifted and turns, he turns to see his husband but saw Zhongli. His eyes widen a bit as he moved his arms around Zhongli's shoulder, as Zhongli leads him out of the room. So many things being soaked, and the outfits on mannequins being ruined.  "The way your husband puts you in danger."

"W-What? Ajax couldn't...he..isn't that strong."

"No, he in fact did do this, he lost against Lumine and decided to unleash an old..rival of Rex Lapis." Zhongli explained as he moved them to the part of the Harbor where the funeral home stood. Everyone was heading to the higher ground anyway.

"Wait where are you taking me? I need to talk to Ajax." [M/N] scrambled out of Zhongli's hold and fixed his hair a bit. "He..he would at least..should've got me or an agent or something!"

"He didn't, he opened the sealed holding Osial back and unleashed him-" Zhongli stops as he saw something fall from the sky. [M/N] watched the Jade Chambers down into the water, crashing down and the water falling stopped. It seemed the Adepti and Lady Ningguang had defeated the ocean monster. Zhongli watched and how the ocean waters slowly settled down now, he let go of [M/N] as the sun came poking out.

[M/N] took this chance and stumbled a bit on his feet, he began hurrying to the Northland Bank. he ignored Zhongli's calls as his eyes widen at the view of Signora entering with her little crowd of agents. She doesn't see him as she slithers inside, her head held up high.

[M/N] enters and takes quiet and fast steps towards the office that his husband worked behind. He saw the door cracked open, there was talking inside and [M/N] peered through the crack. His [E/C] eye widen to see Childe, anger on his face and annoyance as he glared down at the agent. 

"I said to make sure everyone around his shop was gone and he would be easy to fetch. But now, that assistant of his is dead, drown but not to mention my partner could be in the water drowning as well or worst."

Does he care?

"Now, how do I explain, or use a cover with him now? He's been keeping Lady Ningguang off my back as a gossip type of Designer."

Cover?..no no..

"My Lord, he's been rescued by Zhongli, we saw it with our own eyes!"

"Heh, then if he's safe then we can excuse your unspeakable behavior. Leave." [M/N]'s eyes widen a bit as he moved back and the hand cupped his mouth, pulling him away from the door as it opens. His eyes widen as Signora grins to herself, a gleam in her eyes.

"Now, such a mouse-like yourself shouldn't be in Fatui business, even after the truth slapped you in the face." She coos softly as she lets go of [M/N]'s mouth, it quivers a bit as he listened. She ignored it and cupped [M/N]'s chin, rubbing his lip a bit. 

"N-No, he wouldn't we're childhood friends...he married me and loves..loved me.."

"A bad reason to marry, but he was given the task to find a cover from friends or a relationship. He was a young man, so eager to prove how good he was, prove that he's the best agent and Harbinger he is." She goes on, twirling some [H/C] hair between her fingers. [M/N] lets her as dread filled his heart and he felt like he was drowning. Everything he made, build with Ajax, it was all a lie. "He had you, the orphan boy, no family, and a mother who hated you. Making a big name so fast, a quick in fashion, and a quick way to find ways to enter Liyue. To think, that you thought he was saving you but you saved him the trouble of finding ways to live here. Grow a company all around and live the life you wanted. It was sweet for a while." Her hand removes itself from his hair and watched as [M/N]'s eyes filled with tears.

No..he loves me..that boy who called me girlie..that boy who was closed to tears when he killed a bird by accident..that..boy..I lost..

[M/N] felt his heartbreaking as his tears fall down his cheeks, everything was difficult to breathe and everything was turning burry around him. He didn't even hear her walk away, [M/N] moved down. Everything was suffocating him and everything burned, if he screamed or sobbed then Ajax would find him. Someone would, and his lips wobbled as another thought came to mind.

Ajax...died the day he left to the Abyss hole...this Ajax..is a monster...

He goes down, bowing his head to his knees as he crouched a bit. He covered his mouth as everything seemed to be closing in on him. He whimpered and bled as [M/N] bit down on his lower lip.
