Parent's Day

A day that is meant for Parent and their children to enjoy, or Older Siblings that took on the role of a parent if they departed from the land of the living or family members taking care of their younger family members. A day with some items on sale and food that were made for children, like cookies and other sweets. Not to mention toys being made for their younger customers, fluffy, plushie toys especially.

[M/N] didn't have any kids but his assistants did for sure, so they had a day off with their children for the Holiday. Since the whole mishap with the death of Rex Lapis, Ningguang had sought out his own punishment somehow and since [M/N] was clearly innocent, he was given the punishment Baby Sitter.

He was to watch two orphan children from the local home and watch them till the moon rises as Ningguang said. [M/N] met the two that morning on his doorstep as he was leaving for some groceries. There was a boy and a girl, not twins or even related, just the two that we're stuck with him that day.

The girl was dressed in a cute rose-pink-colored Qipao that went to her knees with black shorts under it with matching black flats. Her brown hair was pulled into two buns on her head with some bangs. She had unusually green eyes for Liyuen people, and pale skin as well. Her name is Biyu and very headstrong.

The boy was a bit smaller than Biyu, he wore a dark green Changshan with long sleeves and dark brown pants that were cuffed at the ankles. He wore some black slippers as well to pull the outfit together. His hair was styled as a bowl cut type and he had dark brown eyes. He was so shy and adorable, his own name is Wenyan, and very clingy to [M/N]'s leg.

Not that he had a problem until some people began to whisper when they saw him. [M/n] tried to ignore them as he continued with his wards down the street, and down the steps to the harbor area. He wanted to buy fresh fish for dinner when people were watching him and whispering nasty things about him, and how his "Punishment" should've been worst since his husband is a Harbinger.

"They all stink! All of them, when I become a famous artist, they'll be sorry for lookin' down on us." Biyu declared to [M/N] with a huff and glaring at the others behind them.

"Hush Biyu, they mean no harm...as do I." [M/N] said to calm down the child as he stopped at the booth. He was talking to the owner and didn't see Biyu walking away to look at the water.

"Hey Ugly, where's your mommy and daddy?" One of the children there asked, taunting her as Biyu huffed a bit, ignoring the sting as she kept looking at the water and gasped as she was pushed forward. Thankfully she caught herself and glared at the giggling children.

"Knock it off!" Biyu hissed and they kept laughing. "Or what? Gonna tell on us?" One asked with a smirk.

"I will." [M/N] said as he stands behind them, Wenyan on his hip as he held him. "Knock it off or my husband, the Harbinger will come and eat all your food." The kids scrambled away as Biyu huffed a bit. "Come on, I have to go near the Qingce village for some Jueyun Chili."

"Isn't that kinda far?" Wenyan asked as [M/N] nods his head. It will be but Ajax had shown him paths to the village to get there quicker and to avoid most of the trouble, paths that Fatui members used throughout Liyue.

"Won't there be dangerous animals? Or creatures?"Biyu asked, no fear in her voice but excitement with wide eyes.

"I'm sure we can see some, let me put down the food we have now at home and we can leave for the village, I want to make a nice dinner before I send you back to the house." [M/N] said as he began walking back to his home, not minding Wenyan clenching his hands on his shirt or toying with his vision.

"What do you two like do? Cook? Draw-"

"I like drawing!" Biyu said as she matched [M/N]'s pace as they walked. "I like drawing animals, all of Liyuen creatures, and fishes! Like I make rainbowfishes."

"Wow, that's pretty lovely." [M/N] said as he gently nudged the little boy in his arms, "and you Wenyan?"

"I-I like to draw but...I like sewing things together too..it keeps me happy." He said and [M/N]'s heart stop at the cute confession. "Well, maybe once we get back to my house, I can show you some of the designs I'm working with." [M/N] said as he kept walking down the path and opened the door, he places the ingredients on the table and wrote a tiny note for Ajax when he came home after work.

Left to Qingce Village for some dinner ingredients, love you.

" Come on, we don't want any hilchurls to make an unwelcome visit, now don't we?" He told the two, both gigging as they began out of Liyue habor and towards the paths that he directed them, going down them slowly so nobody could sense or see them enter it.

The trip there wasn't too bad, some sightseeing and nice people who lived in the village as well. The two were having a blast and even listened to the elders thereof some stories about their village and Morax himself. [M/N] listened as well as the two children's eyes widen in excitement about it, any story of the Geo Archon.

[M/N] smiled as he walked the two children, one clinging against his chest and the other sleeping on his back as the sun sets on them. The walk wasn't going to be long but more creatures were waking up as the sun goes down slowly.

He hummed to himself as he walked on the path, keeping a nice pace, they wouldn't be back long but then a sudden snap caused him to stop. [M/n] glanced behind him for a moment and saw nothing but the tree's branches flowing with the wind and the birds nesting on those branches as well. They didn't pay any mind to [M/N] and the two either, he shrugs as he takes a few steps forwards before feeling something coming from the corner of his eye. [M/N] cries out as the Treasure Hunter's hammer slammed against his face, he landed on his stomach, a bit from the path as he felt blood drip down his nose. 

"W-what's happening?" Wenyan asked, blinking his eyes as he rubbed away the sleep from his eyes, Biyu looked alert and ignoring the new scratches on her hands, she landed on them and stung a bit. She saw as six people came out from the area, mostly from behind the tree.

 "Treasure takers!" She gasped as they surrounded them, two large guys with hammers and another large guy with a paddle and three skinny ones. "They're here for the chili pepper!"

"What? No ya fucking moron, we're here because his husband is an asshole." one snapped rudely as they watched [M/N] ignore the pain and placed the bag down in Biyu's arms. She clenched to the bag as the designer stood up.

"Don't snap at her, whatever you did with Aj-Tartaglia, then you settle it with him." [M/N] said as he glanced at them, they all picked on him and the children he was caring for that day. Pathetic. "But it seems that you're a bunch of assholes since you decided to go after his husband and his wards."

"Pft, think we care buddy? He messed us up, so we're gonna mess with his family." [M/N] grits his teeth before summoning his polearm, the buzzing of his vision was loud as his hair stood up a bit. He wasn't a fighter, not like his husband, but it was six so it wouldn't be that bad.

The trio didn't notice more incoming Treasure Hoarders that jumped in when another fallen. They wanted to show that they weren't the ones to be messed with, and the perfect message was the fallen corpse of the Harbinger's husband.

Ajax climbed over the edge, rushing forwards and extends his arms as the glider pops up. He had climbed up and hoped to catch sight of his husband but sees nothing, he moves more over the area of Qingce Village, the back roads that he had told [M/N] to take. He knew the trip there and back home to Liyue Harbor wouldn't be far but when the sun had gone down, and the moon slowly coming up, he panicked. He left their home and hurried to the roads, climbing high and low, gliding as well for him.

"Where could he be? Maybe he's already near the Habor." Ajax said to himself as he moved to the right but stops as he heard a sharp cry, or well, cries. He twists his body as the wind picks up a bit and sees Treasure Hoarders gathering around, some laying all around the ground as they threaten the children he saw. His eyes narrowed in distaste before narrowing even more as he saw the crumpled-up body of his husband. His blood heating up as he stops gliding, and felt the delusion take over and his own polearm going down towards the ground. 

[M/N] felt the heel of one of them dig into his back, as the other kicked his sides. There was burning pain but all he could do was crumble into a ball. He hoped they would just have the job of hurting him than the kids there.

"Pussy, couldn't fight long."

"So worthless, I wonder why the Fatui Harbinger fucks you."

"Gods, you're crying, how fucking dumb you are."

[M/N] wasn't crying, it was blood coming down his temple but he saw that he had their attention as the two children were just crying from the view. He wanted to say how sorry he was, how weak he was against them but winced as another kick came and nailed him in the chin. He spits up some blood just as the floor quakes, and dirt went up in the air, [M/N] didn't have enough strength to cover his face but did close his eyes. 

"N-No way, it's him!"

"It can't be! H-He looks like a monster-"

"And I can be one too."

[M/N]'s eyes snapped open as he looked up, there stood Ajax in his Foul Legacy form, his staff in his hand as Electro beams on his large body. His one eye on the mask looking down at the panicking Treasure Hoarders, they all looked antsy and Ajax growls. "Let's get out of here!" One cried as they began to hurry but they were too slow.

"Not so fast!"

As expected Ajax slices through them without a care and as quickly as he could in his form before his body could get drained from it. [M/N] would scold him for overusing it and now, he was just happy that his husband was here to save them. Once the deed was done, Ajax kept his form up as he steps in front of his husband. 

"Are you okay?"

"Better now that you're here." [M/N] wheezed and winced as Ajax picks him up carefully and nuzzled him a bit, a deep purring coming from Ajax's chest. "Thank you."

"Wow! You look like one of Wengyan's drawings! You look super-super cool!" Biyu gasped as she hugged herself against Ajax's leg. Wengyan next to her, hiding his face against Ajax's leg as well.

"Oh, I almost forgotten about my husband's...?"

"kids, or, well wards since it was parent day today." [M/N] whispered as he nuzzled his head under Ajax's chin, sighing softly as he held the other closely as the pain finally took him. He falls asleep as Ajax huffs softly, he could hear his husband's heartbeat. 

"Come along now, the home must be worried." Ajax said as he pulled the two on his shoulders and began walking down the path home, ignoring his hands shaking a bit, a warning that his form wasn't going to hold up much longer. He didn't mind it, since he was able to carry them all like this. Thank archons you're okay..
