Chapter 6 : Compliments of a seducer
As of course, Satan decided that since she was insensitive to his charm, he had no reason to make any effort to dress up. Well, almost. Rwine had missed to make a crisis of anguish by seeing him landing naked as in the first day in the dining room, the same evening. Having barely had time to see his naked torso, Lisa was already scarlet when the butler tied a towel around the hips of his master, who burst into a virile laugh. He didn't mind embarrassing everyone with his nudity.
And Lisa regretted for a moment not to have finally had the clear heart on the size of its attributes.
Not that she was interested, mind you!
But she was afraid it was more of a blunt weapon than anything else, like in Lilith's book. I should have asked him about it, she mused, before blushing at the turn her thoughts took.
-My wife, you seem preoccupied.
-Stop calling me that.
-You are my wife. What's the problem?
-I feel like an object when you say it like that, she grumbled, helping herself to a big bowl of rice. And then, can I know why I end up with two demons and a dwarf dog in my house!? A week ago I was quiet! Why are there so many people, huh?
The two demons in question looked at her.
-Does my presence bother you, my Queen? said Rwine, ready to get up and leave.
-No, not you! Honestly, you clean, you're friendly, you make the meal and you do it for free!
-I pay him for that,"retorted Satan, frowning.
She looked at him in surprise, then at Rwine, who nodded. Gee, she hadn't thought of that. What exactly did she think the demonic society was all about?
-I am the devoted employee of my King. It was he who asked me to take care of your home, because, according to him, his presence had made a mess of no name.
That was the point.
-Besides, I am well paid, added the butler with a touch of pride. The King knows how to reward his loyal subjects.
-That much? she asked. With us, this type of function is not... Uh... No offense, Rwine, but it's not... Gratifying.
Astonished, he noticed her. Embarrassed, Lisa explained to him what it was all about. If some people liked their job, one could not say that in the present time it was really a popular job. Offended, he almost choked on a spoon of rice. Satan decided to intervene.
-We see things differently, Lisa, he said in a soft voice. Our society is different from yours.
An eyebrow raised, she noticed this man who suddenly had very clear diction, a strong voice and a regal air despite his simple briefcase at his waist. And Grandma's pink flower plate in front of him.
-I don't know anything about your society, she confessed. You never told me about it.
-You didn't ask me, he said. I wanted to give you time to get used to the fact that demons exist. Given what human history says about us, it was better to wait.
Mmh, he wasn't wrong. Yet, she realized that it wasn't necessarily Satan's demonic nature that bothered her. It was mostly the fact of finding herself, from one day to the next, married and with an unknown individual under her roof. Who brought his butler and his dog, on top of that. As dwarf as he was.
How could she so easily accept the idea of having a demon in her home? She stared at the red, muscular, horned colossus with its silky hair. Despite his appearance, at this moment, he didn't exude an ounce of malice.
In truth, she had a sense of security by his side.
Disturbed by her thoughts, she said:
-You don't fit the human idea of demons, do you? You don't rule purgatory and drink the blood of young virgins sacrificed to the full moon on a Sabbath?
-No, not at all! he laughed. To tell the truth, I do govern the Underworld, but it is a parallel dimension to yours. We live in the sun, have our own institutions and our own rules. Magic is an integral part of our lives, so we haven't developed the same technology as you, because we don't need it.
-No phone, for example?
-No phone, he nodded. We have much more reliable means of communication. Telepathy, conversations through mirrors, even teleportation if the subject really needs to be there. In short, we have the magical equivalent of your technology.
-So cool, she huffed. But, wait... I saw zombies and skeletons at your house! Did they come from our house? They were living in our house and then they came to yours?
-No. Your dead are dead. Zombies and skeletons are magical creatures created during the great ancestral wars. Since they are indestructible, they are still with us. In fact, we have integrated them into our society.
-And to think that ours still struggles to accept homosexuals, among other things. We need to learn from you!
-Well... Wait, homosexuals? You mean loving and carnal relationships between individuals of the same sex?
She nodded her head. Satan burst out laughing.
-Gee, you don't accept that here? Humans are really behind!
Stung to the quick, she glared at him.
-Don't put everyone in the same basket! Tell me, are you depicting a utopian version of your world or is it really so?
Satan shrugged his shoulders.
-We simply have other problems than yours. Invasions from another parallel dimension, angels, our demons here being persecuted, power struggles for the throne, assassination attempts, infighting between various races... Like any society, we have our strengths and weaknesses. You have your problems, we have ours.
This discussion left her pensive for most of the night. In fact, humans had devised a way to justify the different look of demons, by labeling them as evil. But from what Satan told her, it wasn't that simple. It was just a different dimension, with different evolutionary factors.
Once again, she wondered what had really led Satan to her. She vaguely remembered the story of the erotic dream. Then she thought that her father had sold her to a stranger.
However, as she fell asleep, she told herself that on Saturday, she would force Satan to take her for a ride in Hell.

Friday, last day of the week. Awakened again with Satan half asleep on top of her, Lisa understood that it was not going to be long before becoming a habit. On the other hand, she had spotted her naked buttocks that morning, so she had once again fled the room.
After a quick breakfast with Rwine, her husband and Cerberus, she had to face the facts: today was P.E class, and she couldn't escape it. To complete the morning's disaster, Satan returned in his younger, sexier avatar. How the hell could anyone mistake him for a high school student? Or even notsee the link with the biology teacher of the previous day!
No, in fact, it was better not to remember that part.
-Hello.
Surprised, Lisa looked up to discover Florian in front of her, in the middle of the courtyard. Stan Daemon had been lured away by the three girls, and the space of one moment, she had found herself alone. To see herself confronted with Florian, the one for whom she had a crush.
Interested, she looked behind her, but there was no one she could talk to.
-Um... Hello, she said, feeling particularly stupid.
He had never spoken to her in three years. What did he want? Not that she wasn't happy, but... He smiled at her, his purest smile that would knock any girl in high school off her feet.
-Tell me, I never noticed you before, but you're kind of cute.
She looked at him, blushing slightly. But she didn't know if it was pleasure or anger. Kind of cute in your way? Was that an insult or a compliment?
-Hmm.. thanks?
-She is not cute, she is sublime, rectified Satan by attracting her to him. And she's already taken, so get out.
Embarrassed by this intervention full of testosterone, Florian beat in retreat, not without having addressed a smile to Lisa. Stunned, she watched him leave, thoughtful. Satan, him, did it with a particularly bad air.
-Are you in love with him?
The question startled her. Looking at her husband, she saw his red eyes full of anger, as well as a touch of sadness?
-Are you jealous? she realized, flabbergasted.
Her pout was so eloquent that she almost burst out laughing. This seemed to offend the demon, by the way. He was blushing!
-You are my wife. It's normal to be jealous. Are you in love with him?
Was she in love with him? It's hard to say.
-Let's put it this way... I have a crush.
Was that the right term?
-I don't know him, she explained. And he doesn't know me. Until this morning, he had never spoken to me.
-Never? But why not? If I were him, I would have already done everything to win you over. That's what I'm doing, by the way.
She smiled, full of indulgence for this demon alien to the social norms of this dimension. While joining the sports field, she continued:
-Only in your eyes I am a beautiful girl. Here, I am basic, too fat, not feminine enough, not attractive enough... I am the girl who stays in the shadows and prays not to attract attention, not to expose her flaws to the world.
There was a small silence between them. They were already approaching the locker room, where the sports teacher, Mr. Heidi, was waiting for them with the list of students under his nose. However, Satan stopped her before reaching him. Embracing her tenderly, although with a bottom of anger which she perceived with surprise, he kissed her on the temple, before whispering in her ear:
-You are a beautiful person, Lisa. Never doubt yourself, beautiful body and soul. And don't forget that you are now a Queen. Sylvie's kind of larvae should lick the ground you walk on.
Red in the face, she nodded. No one had ever said such things to her. She didn't know what to say to him. And she was saddened when she had to disabuse Satan of the notion that he could not go into the girls' locker room with her.
She had never seen him looking so desperate!
