October

~Merida and Hiccup~
"Hic, it will be fun!" Merida persisted as he dragged her along the dirt path. The sky was slowing setting on the Autumn night.

"I don't know Meri." Hiccup mumbled. He didn't want to go in the haunted corn maze. He wasn't afraid of it. Ghost and witches were only things children were afraid of. He just didn't want to look stupid in front of her.

"Come on, Hic. What could be the worst that would happen?" Merida questioned. She really wanted to go with Hiccup. It would be no fun without him.

"We could get lost, being as it is a maze. We could get killed from a clown. Or, hmm, I don't know, be chased by a chainsaw maniac!" Hiccup exclaimed. He really don't want to go on this. He felt like it was a waste of time....and money.

"But that's what makes it fun!" Merida smiled as she waved her hands in front like a rainbow. She was really trying to sell Hiccup on the idea of going in the maze.

"Oh yeah. That definitely sounds like fun. Someone sign me up!" Hiccup sarcastically cheered. He crossed his arms and rolled his eyes. Merida couldn't pay him to go in the maze.

Merida sent him a glare. She was going in the maze with Hiccup. There was no ifs, ands, ors, or buts about it. "I've tried being nice. Now you leave me no choice." Merida growled. Hiccup looked at her confused. What was she going to do?

"You can't make me." Hiccup confidently declared as he turned the other way. She couldn't make him go if he didn't want to. Suddenly, he felt a pinch and a tugged on his ear.

"Come on!" Merida commanded as she dragged her whining husband to the starting point.

"Oww! Oww! Okay! Merida! People are staring!" Hiccup complained as she pulled him towards the line. She let go as they entered the line. He mumbled some curses as he rubbed his ear. "You couldn't have done that a nicer way?" Hiccup questioned.

"I tried being the nice cop, but you didn't cooperate. So you had to deal with the bad cop." Merida glared. Hiccup frowned and narrowed his eyes. They had a staring contest, trying to see who would win the fight. After what felt like hours, they both blinked.

"Are you kidding me? We tie at a staring contest! How does that even work?" Hiccup exclaimed. Merida patted his shoulder as they got to the end pay point of the line.

"I guess we're too much alike." Merida teased. Hiccup chuckled as she ruffled his hair.

"Twenty dollars." The cashier grumbled. He didn't look pleased to be working tonight. Merida looked to Hiccup, expecting him to pay. Hiccup groaned and pulled out his wallet. He paid for them and walked towards the beginning. Plenty of teens were there, acting like they were super tough.

"Hiccup, why don't want to go in?" Merida asked as they began entering. She really didn't want to force him in, but she had no other choice. She figured she could calm him down if they talked about something else as they went through.

Hiccup sighed and looked at the ground. "I didn't want you to think I was a whimp. I mean, I'm definitely not as strong as you or as brave. Coming in here was setting myself up for failure." Hiccup explained. The sounds of screams were heard up ahead, warning them that something spooky was coming.

"Oh Hiccup. You could never be a whimp in my eyes. The only reason I'm this way is because of my father and siblings. They grew me to be the big, strong, older sister. You never had the chance to protect a younger sibl-ahh!" Merida screamed as she jumped into Hiccup's arms as someone jumped out of the corn.

They began running, being chased by the maniac. They took a sharp turn, hoping they lost them. When the coast was clear, they burst out laughing. They couldn't believe they escaped that. "Come on, this way!" Hiccup smiled as he turned right. Merida followed him, hoping he was correct.

They reached a fork in the path, unsure were to turn. "Left!" Merida cheered as she tugged on his arm.

"Okay." Hiccup agreed as he followed behind the red head. After walking for what seemed like hours, the sound of a chainsaw started.

"Run!" Merida screamed as she pushed Hiccup in the other direction. They panted as the noise became louder and louder. Their feet stomped against the dirt path as they sped away.

"Turn here!" Hiccup commanded as they took a left. They kept running and running, hoping to escape. Soon, they saw bright lights, showing them that the end was near. They cheered as they made it to the exit. They laughed as they fell to the ground. Their hearts were beating out of their chests.

"Oh my god! That was terrifying." Merida laughed. She covered her face with her hands rolled onto Hiccup's chest. Her heart rate was through the roof.

"No kidding." Hiccup chuckled as he pulled her close.

"Hey. I need you two to move so others can get through." A manager mumbled. They looked at at the grumpy teen. They rolled heir eyes and stood up. They walked up to the top of the hill towards the golf cart that would take them back to their car.

"That manager was dumb." Merida giggled as they got into their car. Hiccup nodded his head.

"I need you two to move." Hiccup mocked as he moved his hand like it was talking. Merida joined in, doing the same. They laughed as they drove out of the parking lot. Maybe going in that corn maze wasn't so bad.

~Rapunzel and Eugene~
Rapunzel could feel the anticipation building up inside her the closer they got to the building. It hadn't changed over the last decade. She linked her hand with Eugene's for support. She was getting nervous.

Eugene gave her hand squeeze as they got to the door. She took a deep breath, not wanting to go back to her high school year. She tensed up as the stood outside the glass door. "You ok?" Eugene asked. She had her eyes tightly shut, trying to block out the bad memories.

"Terrified." She replied. She turned and looked him in the eye. She didn't want to walk back into their high school. She didn't want to see her old classmates for their ten year class reunion. It's not like they would remember her anyway.

"Why?" He questioned. Rapunzel was one of the bravest people he knew. She stood up to her ex boyfriend, her snotty coworkers, and had the courage to tell him she was pregnant. Why would this high school scare her so badly?

She sighed, biting her lower lip. She was considering telling him her past. "Let's just say that people weren't very nice to me back when I was in high school." She softly smiled. He frowned. He couldn't understand why they would be mean to her. She couldn't hurt a fly.

"Ok," He nodded. He wasn't going to push her. She didn't make him spill his secrets so he was returning the favor. "Well, after you." He smiled as he pushed open the door for her. She followed through, her nerves starting to act up.

"Oh boy." She mumbled as they entered the gym. All her old classmates were spread out across the high school gym. She could recognize a few, but most were just faces in the crowd. They had changed a lot over the years.

"Elijah!" Someone called across the gym. Whispers were immediately echoing off the walls. The fellow lead his girl towards them. "How's it going buddy?" He greeted as they finally made it to them.

"Sorry, but I'm not Elijah. I'm his twin, Eugene." Eugene chuckled. He ran his hand through his hair, trying not to embarrass the guy. His face dropped as he realized his mistake.

"Oh my. I'm so sorry, I should have known. Elijah doesn't have brown eyes. He has gray." The fellow laughed, immediately Eugene tensed up. Most people couldn't tell them apart. This was started to freak Eugene out. He didn't like it.

"Do I know you?" Eugene asked. The guy straighten his jacket and held out his hand.

"Tadashi Hamada. I was our class president. I'm here to help make sure everything runs smoothly," He smiled as he stuck his hands in his pockets. "Oh, and this is Honey, my girlfriend." He introduced as he showed off a very tall blonde. She waved, letting him do the talking.

"I remember writing an article about you recently. You're the new science teacher here at the high school, right?" Eugene asked. Eugene had to write about all the new teachers this coming school year. He knew that name was familiar.

"Yup. I couldn't have a better job," Tadashi smiled. "You didn't graduate with this class, Eugene, so why are you here?" He smirked. Tadashi was the smartest person in Eugene's grade, still is. He graduated from the best science school in the country with the highest GPA.

"Oh, I'm here with my wife, Rapunzel." Eugene smiled as he introduced her. She blushed and waved her hand. She still wasn't used to being called his wife.

"It's nice to meet you." Rapunzel spoke. As Eugene and him were talking, someone caught her eye. She looked at Eugene and quickly darted her eyes across the room, telling him she wanted to leave.

"It was nice meeting you again," Eugene waved as they walked towards the snack table. "Where are we going?" Eugene asked.

"I want you to meet Ariel." Rapunzel replied as she dragged him towards the red head.

"Rapunzel!" Ariel squealed as they got closer. They hugged each other super tight, as best friends would. "I haven't seen you in forever!" Ariel laughed as she pushed back her long, red bangs.

"Ariel, I want you to meet Eugene," Rapunzel introduced as she linked her arm with his. She pushed him forward, showing him off. "He's my husband."

Ariel's face dropped. She was finally meeting Rap's husband. She had heard all about him from Rapunzel's ramblings. Ariel knew Rapunzel was falling for him, but now she knew they were went to be. Who goes to someone else's dumb class reunion? "It's so nice to finally meet you." Ariel greeted as she shook his hand.

"It's nice meeting you too." Eugene chuckled. Rapunzel had told him a little bit about Ariel. He had no idea she was this energetic.

"Rap, Eugene, this is my boyfriend, Eric." Ariel smiled. The dark haired man stood tall beside her. His blue eyes mimicked the sea.

"It's nice to meet you." He smiled as he shook their hands.

"So. Eugene. Do you want to tell them about you know what?" Rapunzel smiled. She had been wanting to spill her secret to the world, but she wanted his approval too. After all, it was his child too. He nodded his head, knowing she would explode of she didn't tell her best friend. "We're having a baby!" Rapunzel squealed.

Ariel's jaw dropped. She couldn't believe that her best friend was pregnant. "Can I be the godmother?" She questioned. She was soo excited for Rapunzel. She wanted to meet the little bundle of joy right now!

"We haven't worked out all the details yet, but we're considering it." Rapunzel giggled. She was happy that Ariel didn't judge her. Rapunzel was happy that she came here tonight. After her squeal session with Ariel, they wandered around to everyone, meeting old classmates. Everything was going perfectly.

~Jack and Elsa~
Elsa hummed her way into the kitchen. It was finally October. The weather was starting to cool down and the leaves were beginning to fall. The air had a crisp smell. This was a perfect season. Elsa pulled out her bag of apples. She was going to get baking.

Jack was in their living room playing video games when he smelled something delicious coming from the kitchen. Using his super nose, he followed the trail into the kitchen. He found Elsa cooking. He snuck up behind her and placed his hands on her shoulders. "Whatcha makin'?"

Elsa jumped from him. She turned around and slapped his chest. "Jackson!" She shouted. He laughed from her reaction. "Ya know, just because it's October doesn't mean you can scare me." Elsa frowned.

"Oh come Els. You know I'm just teasing." Jack chuckled as he brushed her hair away from her blue eyes.

"I know. But still." She replied. She went back to her cooking, ignoring him. She know that would get back at him.

"But really, what are you making?" Jack questioned as he looked over her shoulders. It smelled delicious. He couldn't wait to satisfy his tastebuds.

"It doesn't matter to you since you won't get any." Elsa smirked. She knew he wanted her treat and she wasn't going to give any.

"Aww. You're not still mad about earlier, are you?" Jack smiled. He was trying play innocent with her. Then she would hopefully give in.

"Yes." She replied.

"Aww. I didn't mean it. Come on, Els. You can't say no to this face." He spoke as he pulled out his biggest puppy dog eyes.

Elsa narrowed her eyes, giving him her deadliest glare. "No." She responded. Jack's jaw dropped. He couldn't believe it. He placed his hand over his heart, acting like she wounded him.

"Ooo! Els that stung." Jack dramatically declared. He back away, acting like he was shot. He was always one to blow things out of the water. He fell to the floor, acting like he was dying. Elsa stood there and rolled her eyes.

"Drama King." She mumbled as she crossed her arms over her chest.

Jack opened one of his eyes. "Then you're my Drama Queen," He chuckled, making her giggle. She held out her hand and helped him back up. He jumped up to his feet. "Seriously, what are you making?" He persisted.

"Seriously? Didn't know you could use that word in a sentence," Elsa snorted. Jack playfully frowned, knowing she was just teasing. "I'm making homemade applesauce." Elsa smiled.

"Yes!" Jack cheered as he pumped his arm in the air. Elsa chucked, watching him act like a child. "Guess what." Jack suddenly declared.

"What?" Elsa giggled. Jack was very energetic today. But then again, when wasn't he? Elsa watched him put on his most serious face ever.

"Tonight, we're watching horror movies." He spoke in a deep voice.

"Jack, I hate scary movies." Elsa frowned. She didn't like feel watched or being afraid to go to sleep for a week. She would much rather watch a child's film or a rom-com.

"Too bad." Jack laughed. He ran back into the living room, getting their movie night ready. Elsa sighed and scooped Jack and her a bowl of warm applesauce. She plopped herself onto the couch, watching him get everything ready.

Jack scrambled to find blankets and pillows, throwing them everywhere. "What are you doing?" She laughed as a few pillows flew past her head. He looked like a maniac.

"Getting our fort ready," He playfully scoffed. He laid out the blankets, pillows, and couch cushions in the floor. Everything was perfect. "Come here." He commanded, waving Elsa towards him. She playfully rolled her eyes and walked to him.

Elsa laid down beside him and cuddled under the blankets. "What are we watching first?" She asked. She didn't feel scared being under the blankets beside Jack, at least not yet.

"Saw." He smiled as he showed off the case. He put it in the DVD player and waited for the title screen to appear. Elsa scooted closer to him, ready for this torture to begin. She was not excited.

"Jack, can't we watch a Disney movie instead?" Elsa questioned. She would much rather watch something inspiring and playfully than something frightening. She liked sing alongs and happy endings.

"Sorry babe. This is Halloween. Disney movies are for every other month of the year." Jack smiled as Elsa frowned. Then an idea popped into her head.

"Can't we watch The Nightmare Before Christmas?" Elsa questioned. That was a Halloween movie and it wasn't scary, well, not that scary.

"What's that?" Jack asked. He had never heard of that movie before. It sounded scary enough, besides the Christmas part. Jack became curious, wanting to at least see what it was.

"You've never seen that? What about Coraline? Or The Corpse Bride?" Elsa exclaimed. Those were movies scary enough to frighten not only children, but adults. She figured they would be right up Jack's alley.

"Never heard of them." Jack confessed. They sound pretty spooky. If Elsa owned them he'd be willing to watch those. At least it was something scary she wanted to watch.

"My god. Here, put this in." Elsa commanded as she tossed him Coraline. Jack sent her a glare. It looked like a child's movie.

"This is for kids, Els." Jack declared. He couldn't believe that this was a scary movie. It was for children. This couldn't possibly scare him. She was trying to throw away his scary movie plan. He wanted her scared so he could look big and strong. This movie wouldn't do that.

"Just watch it. Please." Elsa replied, giving him her puppy dog eyes. Jack could never say no to her big blue eyes. He didn't want to watch it, but she was just so darn cute.

Jack groaned. "Fine. But only because I know I won't get scared." Jack answered. Elsa evilly chuckled. She knew by the end of the movie he would cry. She knew he would get scared.

~Anna and Kristoff~
"This is Halloween. This is Halloween." Anna sang around the house as she got the table ready. She placed newspapers over the kitchen table and grabbed the knifes.

"Halloween! Hallowen!" Kristoff joined in as he came back in with the pumpkins. He placed them on the table. They laughed as they stood beside each other, rolling up their sleeves.

"Who's ready to get messy?" Anna exclaimed, her blue eyes sparkling with excitement. She looked at Kristoff, hoping she didn't look childish to him.

"I'm ready!" He cheered as he grabbed a knife. He stabbed it into the top of the pumpkin and began craving out the top. Anna followed suit on her pumpkin. They pulled off the tops and scrunched their noses.

"Eww!" They cried. They looked at each other and laughed.

"You hate pulling out the seeds too?" Anna questioned. She thought she was just a girly girl. She hated touching the sticky insides. They were super gooey.

"My siblings told me they were pumpkin guts. I've never liked touching the seeds after that." Kristoff laughed. Anna scrunched nose after hearing that. She could never pull out the seeds if she was told that.

"Gross!" She giggled. Kristoff shrugged his shoulders and stuck his hands into the pumpkin. "Eww!" She laughed. He looked at her and plopped the seeds onto the newspaper.

"They're really gooey today." He smiled. Anna shivered and sent a disgusted face at him.

"You're so gross," She laughed. Kristoff always knew how to make her laugh. He crossed his eyes and stuck his hand back into the pumpkin, pulling out more 'guts'. She sent her hand into her pumpkin and quietly screamed. "Eww." She whined.

"Oh come on, it's just a little sticky." He chuckled. She frowned and pulled out the 'guts'.

"They're so gross." She cried in a high pitch voice. She was pretending to act like a child. He laughed and sent her a frown.

"Aww. Are wittle Anna's fingernails getting dirty?" Kristoff teased. Anna nodded her head, acting like a child. They laughed and worked on cleaning their pumpkins. When Anna wasn't looking, Kristen took some seeds and threw them at her, landing on her cheek.

She reached her hand up and touched the guts. She slowly turned and looked at her snickering husband. "Did you just throw pumpkin guts at me?" She glared.

"Maybe I did. Maybe I didn't." He shrugged. Anna grabbed a handful of guts and threw that at him, landing on his shirt. He gasped and looked at his laughing wife. He thought she would fall on her back laughing.

"You did not!" He awed. She nodded her head, laughing like a hyena. "Well two can play this game." Kristoff smirked as he took a pile and threw it at her. It landed in her hair, making both of their jaws dropped.

Kristoff couldn't believe her out pumpkin guts in her hair! That was not supposed to happen. Anna slowly looked up at her hair. She pulled out the seeds and looked back at her husband. He was turning a bright red. Little did he know that Anna couldn't careless if they were in her hair. She took the seeds and threw them into his mouth. "Gotcha!" She shouted.

He immediately spit them out and turned to look at his wife. She covered her mouth, trying not to laugh. "Okay. You win. You got me." He chuckled. She stuck out her tongue and wiggled her finger by her ears, taunting him.

"Anna's the winner!" She cheered as she held her hands high above her head, standing on the kitchen chair. Kristoff chuckled and shook his shaggy hair.

"What? Do you want a medal?" He teased. Anna quickly nodded her head. "Sorry, I don't have a pumpkin seed winner medal."

"Darn. Well, I have another contest." Anna declared as she jumped off the chair.

"What are we doing now?" He chuckled. With Anna, anything could be a contest. Whether it was who could clean the fastest or who could eat the most cookies in one bite, she made it fun.

"We are going to try to carve each other as pumpkins." Anna smiled.

"Anna, I can't-"

"Ahaha. It's how we think each other looks. Like I could give you triangle eyes and vampire teeth. It's just supposed to be silly." Anna explained. She wanted it to be fun, not a deadly competition.

"Ok, I'm down," Kristoff smiled as he grabbed a knife. He began by giving her star eyes, since her eyes were bright than the stars in the sky. He gave her a triangle nose, just before. Last but not least, he craved two buck teeth, since she as much energy as a child. "Are you almost done?" He asked.

"Just about," Anna replied as she craved with her tongue sticking out. "Aaannndd done!" She declared.

"Show on three."

"One. Two. Three!" They cheered as they spun their pumpkins around. Anna's had cross eyes, a square nose, and a buck tooth. She looked at Kristoff's and laughed. If she was a pumpkin, that would definitely be how she would look.

"What do ya think?" Kristoff smiled as he showed off his pumpkin.

"I have to admit. It is very impressive. How about mine?" Anna replied, holding up her pumpkin. He smiled and nodded his head, acting like a judge.

"Very creative. I like the way you smile when you showed your pumpkin. It gave off a very nice touch." He critiqued. She giggled and placed hers down.

"Who do you think won?" She asked. They both tapped their fingers to their chin, pretending to think hard.

"Me." Kristoff smirked. Anna looked at him, still deciding her answer.

"Me too. You're pumpkin was more accurate." Anna smiled.

"Well now we're tied."

"The tie breaker is..." Anna declared as she led him outside, dragging him on another adventure.
