December

~Merida and Hiccup~
Merida and Hiccup wandered around their house decorating it with the random Christmas decor. All they had left was their tree. "Real or fake?" Hiccup questioned as he stuck snowflake window clings to their living room window. The dogs happily ran around their legs, loving their new home.

"Is that even a question? Most definitely real." Merida chuckled as she placed a string of lights around the window. She's always loved Christmas.

"Cool. Let's load up the dogs and find ourselves a Christmas tree." Hiccup cheered. Merida nodded her head and grabbed her navy blue winter jacket. She remembered to grab gloves, which she usually forgets, and put the dogs on their leashes.

"Toothless, sit still." Merida smiled as the dog chased his tail in circles. Eventually, she hooked the dogs up and walked on the door with Hiccup hot on her trail. They happily jumped down the stairs and hopped into her car.

"Big or little?" He teased as he drove down the snow covered highway. Merida shot him a playful grin.

"How about one that fits in our living room?" Merida chuckled. Hiccup shrugged his shoulder.

"Good idea." He smiled. Eventually, they pulled into tree farm. They let the dogs go and walked around, trying to find what they wanted.

"Nope. Too small." Merida argued as they examined a tree. Merida was a tree expert. If they wanted their tree to last till Christmas, it needed large needles and a huge trunk.

"Just pick one!" Hiccup exclaimed as he pulled on the hair sticking out of his hat. He figured they had looked at every tree on the land. If it wasn't here, it was at the store...in a box....ready for them to put together.

Merida was running around, when suddenly, she stopped. She stared at the world's most perfect tree. The light snow fell from the sky. The sun brightly shone on the tree, making it call to her. She could almost hear angelic voices. "That one." She awed as she pointed to the evergreen tree.

Hiccup ran to her side to look at her pick. "That one? You're sure?" Hiccup panted. Personally, it was wayy too big to fit in their apartment, but if she wanted it, they would have it. Merida nodded her head as her eyes lit up.

"That's our tree. Hurry! Before someone else gets it!" She exclaimed as she ran to the tree. The dogs followed behind her, hopping in her tracks. They loved the snow and their owner. Hiccup nodded his head and ran to get a chainsaw. When he returned, he saw her laying on the ground.

"What are you doing?" He asked, leaning over his laughing wife. Her eyes looked bluer than ever against the white background.

"Making a snow angel doofus. What it look like?" She laughed. Hiccup shrugged his shoulders and cocked his head.

"I can see it. Somewhat." He teased. Merida's jaw playfully dropped. She looked flabbergasted.

"Let's see you do better!" She exclaimed as she kicked Hiccup's legs out from under him. He fell to the ground, sending snow flying. He groaned as he rubbed his back. But he was still determined to win.

"Watch me!" He smirked. He laid back and rubbed his arms and legs back and forth. As he was making his glorious angel, something licked his face over and over again. Then something jumped on top of him, making him sit up with a groan. Merida's snorts echoed across the farm. The dogs were attacking Hiccup.

"Looks like they thought you needed help." She chortled, holding her stomach tight. This was definitely a sight perfect for America's Funniest Home Videos. She could make millions.

"Toothless! You know that doesn't come out!" He whined as his dog licked his favorite green jacket. The dog happily barked and jumped in a circle. After Merida's laughs quieted down, she stood up and walked towards her husband.

"Angus. Down," She chuckled as she pushed him away. He barked and chased after Toothless. She reached her hand out and helped Hiccup up. He smiled and gratefully took her hand. "Let's cut down this tree." She smiled.

"Don't you do it this way?" He asked as he demonstrated how to cut it down. Merida shrugged her shoulders.

"I'm not an expert, but try it." She replied. Hiccup nodded his head and tried what he thought was right.

"Timber!" He called as the tree started to fall. As it came crashing down, they noticed the top was coming right towards them, ready to crush them.

"Run!" Merida shouted as they jumped to the side. The tree crashed down, making snow fly everywhere and smashing their snow angels. They panted on the sideline, thinking about how they almost killed themselves. They looked at each other and laughed. That was an experience.

"Well, that's a great first Christmas together." Hiccup chuckled as he brought her in close. She laughed and hugged him back. She snuggled in, taking a deep breath of pine and winter air.

"Ya, now the real problem is how are we going to get this back? And fit it in the living room. And make sure that the dogs don't knock it over." Merida smiled. Hiccup sighed and shook his head, making his hair wiggle out snow.

"One step at a time." He smiled he ran his hand through her thick, curly hair. It was all tangled from the snow angels to the wind blowing it from running. She couldn't have looked more beautiful today.

~Rapunzel and Eugene~
"You did what?" Eugene exclaimed as he paced around the room. Ohhh, this was bad. Very, very, very bad. What in the world made her do this? He ran his hands down his face.

Rapunzel watched her husband mumble words under his breath as he ran his fingers through his hair. He looked distressed, but it was for his, their, own good. If she didn't do it now, it would never happen. "Why is this such a big deal?" She asked as she rubbed her stomach. Her baby bump was very noticeable now.

Eugene groaned and pulled on his hair. She had never seen him this stressed. "Uggh, Rapunzel you don't understand!" He cried. He aimlessly wandered around the room.

"Can you tell me so I can?" She questioned as she followed him towards the window. He laid his head against the glass, feeling the cold air. He's told this story millions of times. Why did he have to tell it again?

He sighed and turned to face his wife. "Rap, you've invited my parents. They're nothing like yours! They don't congratulate me on successes. They don't call me to ask how I'm doing. Rapunzel, they don't care about me," He frowned. The sorrow in his eyes filled up. Every time she brought up the subject, he acted cold and angry. Today, his true side was showing. "Don't you see why I've grown so far apart from them? Why I am the way I am?" I panted.

She held her breath, trying to find her answer. She didn't want to upset him more. Inviting his parents was like pouring rubbing alcohol on an open wound. "I did this for us." She softly spoke. He groaned and walked away, becoming cold again. It wasn't the answer he was searching for.

"How would they help us? They're nothing but stuck up snobs who think, know, they're better than everyone!" Eugene declared. His go to emotion was shining through. At first, it frightened her. She was never used to people raising their voices at her, but now she grew accustom to it. It was his way of hiding his true feelings.

"I don't want our baby to grow up never knowing their father's parents! I couldn't live with myself if you didn't make up with your parents. I want you to have what I have." She exclaimed. She didn't want to fight today, but it was happening.

"Rap, they don't care about anyone but themselves. The sooner you learn that, the less it will hurt." He mumbled as he sat down at the counter. She twiddled her thumbs and sat down beside him.

"I don't understand." She frowned. He twisted his chair to look at his wife. Tears were forming in her eyes. Her feelings had been everywhere. He couldn't tell if this was her hormones talking or her real emotions.

"Understand what?" He asked. She sniffed and rubbed her nose. She looked up at her husband.

"Everything. You hid all these emotions behind a poker face and I don't understand why? Why won't you let me see how you really feel?" She sobbed. Tears streamed down her face. Was she still not good enough for him?

"Rapunzel, I-I just don't want to burden you with my problems. I don't want you to stress about my relationship with my parents." Eugene mumbled as he pushed back her hair. She frowned even more. Did he not think she could handle it?

"I do stress! And you not telling me makes me more upset because I don't know how to fix it! I want to help but you push me away. Have you even told your family about the baby?" She exclaimed. Eugene froze and bit his lip. He didn't bother to tell them. They wouldn't care anyways in his opinion. "Eugene-" Rapunzel scoffed as she crossed her arms.

"I'm sorry, okay! I'm sorry that I didn't include you in my problems! I'm sorry that I don't tell how I really feel!" He cried. He didn't know how to deal with people caring about him. He didn't understand why someone would care about him.

She stared at him, wondering if he was serious. He shook his head and glared at the floor. He looked confused with his emotions. He was broken and didn't know how to fix it. But she did. She leaned over and pecked his cheek. His head quickly shot to look at her. Her cheeks had tear streaks running down them. She reached over and brushed his away that he didn't even notice were trailing down his face. She softly smiled and grabbed his chin. "Eugene, let me help. I want you to be happy. I want you to be cared for and loved." She replied.

"Rapunzel-" he started as a knock was heard at the door. Talking was heard on the other side. She nodded towards the bathroom as she headed towards the door. It was sort of a struggle to get there, but she made it.

"Rapunzel! I'm so happy that-what's wrong?" Her mother asked as she looked at her baby girl. Her smiled seemed sincere, but her cheeks said otherwise. They were stained with tears and were bright pink.

"I just burned the toast." She lied. Her parents shrugged their shoulders, seeming to believe it. They wandered inside the house and took a seat on the couch. They handed Rapunzel their gift and a meal to pass. Eventually, Eugene came back and looked like his normal self.

The doorbell rang and multiple voices were heard. Eugene and Rapunzel made eye contact. He nervously bit his lip as they made their way towards the door. He shakily opened it to see them. His twin brother cockily stood beside their parents. His nieces stood behind their sister. Most of them looked like they'd much rather be at home. "Eugene!" Lindsay called as she noticed her uncle. She ran to him and lifted her arms, hoping he would pick her up.

"Hey sweetheart." He greeted as he popped her nose. She giggled, happy to be with someone she knew. Everyone stood in the awkward atmosphere, unsure what to do.

"Rapunzel, are you-" Jessica, Eugene's sister, started as she pointed to Rapunzel's stomach.

"Pregnant? Yeah, I'm due in March." Rapunzel chuckled as she rubbed her stomach. Everyone's jaws dropped. Boy, were they out of the loop.

"You're having a baby?" Lauren smiled as she came out from behind her mother to her aunt. Rapunzel nodded her head led the family into the house. Eugene's parents rambled about how they could lend some money to help pay for baby necessities and such. His sister smiled, looking at all the pictures they had together. She believed they would turn out aright.

Elijah walked around with a scowl on his face. He was secretly jealous of his twin. His whole life, Elijah was treated as the favorite. He was taught that he would earn more than Eugene because he was smarter, handsomer, and well, just better. Watching Eugene's life was making him sick. He felt....lonely. His brother was liked by his nieces. He had a wife and was expecting a child. What happened to Elijah? Why didn't he get this life?

"So, I hope you're hungry because me and junior are and think it's time to eat." Rapunzel smiled as she rubbed her hands together. Everyone agreed and sat down at the table, actually enjoying each other's company. No one planned on walking out this time. Everything actually turned out perfectly.

~Elsa and Jack~
"You can't possibly be as good as me." Jack smirked cockily as he parked their car in the parking lot. Elsa playfully frowned and pinched his cheek.

"Wook at wittle Jackson thinking he's good." She teased. He scoffed and pushed her hand away as she giggled. They grabbed their bag and ran to the shelter. They took a seat on the wooden benches in the heated room. Elsa quickly laced up her blue figure skates, trying to beat Jack.

"The winner!" He cheered as he pumped his arms in the air and mimicked a crowd cheering. She looked at his black hockey skates, messily laced up. She crossed her arms and frowned.

"You may have been faster, but at least I didn't tie my skates together," She smirked. Jack's jaw dropped as he looked at his skates. "Bye Jack!" She waved as she waddled out of the room. He quickly tied them back up and ran out of the room to see her gracefully skating on the ice rink.

He hopped onto the ice and glided up beside her. "Okay, you may have won that one, but I bet you can't bet me at hockey." He smiled. She looked him over, seeing his nose begin to turn a little pink. She looked at his hockey skates and figured he wasn't as good as he bragged.

"You're on." She smirked. He led her towards the hockey side and handed her a stick.

"You're going to want this." He smiled. After gathering their necessities, they quickly hopped onto the ice rink. After skating a couple laps, their game began. Jack was making shot after shot as Elsa would fall. She didn't like hockey. He reached a hand out and pulled her up.

"Looks like you won that game. But can you figure skate?" She taunted. She cockily bit the bottom of her red lips. Her blue eyes were radiant against the white background. Jack couldn't refuse.

"Phhhs. Can I?" He smiled. She shrugged her shoulders and led him back to the free skate rink. After trying all of her glorious, perfect jumps, Jack fell on his face. He fell on his back and even his butt. Even after gaining multiple bruises, he still tried his hardest.

Elsa burst out laughing each time he smashed against the ice. Children would stumble around him, trying to stay up themselves. She skated to him and held out her hand, but instead of helping him up, he pulled her down. "Jackson!" She cried as she laid on the ground beside him.

"Oh come on, Els. Admit it, you're having fun." He teased as he laid his head on her stomach.

"Fine! I'm having fun." She laughed as she tossed her arms out to the side. They laid their, laughing like a bunch of idiots. People would scowl and skate around the happy couple, but that didn't bother Elsa and Jack one bit.

~Anna and Kristoff~
"Frosting! Stat!" Anna commanded as she held out her flour covered hand. Kristoff quickly handed her the blue frosting. Biting her tongue, Anna covered the sugar cookies in frosting.

"I hope you know I'm not very good at making cookies." Kristoff smiled as he tossed a batch into their oven.

"Phhs, don't try and fool me." Anna teased as she waved the comment aside. She knew Kristoff could make cookies just fine. As she stumbled around the kitchen, trying to find the ingredients she needed, the doorbell rang out. Sven barked at the intruder, hoping they'd leave them alone.

"I'll get it." Kristoff spoke as he headed towards the front door with Sven hot on his trail. As they opened the door, familiar faces greeted them.

"Kristoff!" Elsa greeted as she wrapped him into a hug. She and Jack were covered in snow. They looked like they were freezing, not that the cold bothered him very much.

"Hey guys." Kristoff smiled as he opened the door wider for them. They stomped the snow off their boots and entered the toasty warm house.

"Kristoff! Shut that door! I'm freezing and I'm all the way in the kitchen!" Anna shouted, making Elsa giggle.

"Anna! It's your sister!" Elsa called back.

"Elsa? Well shut that door!"

"Geez, your house is warm." Jack awed as he looked at the thermostat. Kristoff shrugged his shoulders and led them to the living room.

"Ya get used to it." He chuckled as he rubbed Sven's head. Sven and Olaf curled up in a ball beside the fireplace, realizing the strangers were family. They relaxed and took a well needed nap.

Elsa and Jack wandered around the house looking at the new pictures Kristoff and Anna hung up. They looked perfect with each other. Elsa could tell that Kristoff was a keeper. He wasn't rude or picky like her last boyfriend, Hans. "Woah. That's a lot of cookies, Anna." Elsa awed as they entered the bake zone.

Anna sighed and rubbed some flour off her forehead. "We'll Kristoff has plenty of family and I want to make sure everyone gets at least one of my famous cookies." Anna answered.

"Well when you're finished, we should get started on presents." Jack smiled. He wanted to see what Anna got him. He knew it wouldn't be as good as his, but he was still excited.

"Presents? Oohhhh! Yeah, yeah! I'm ready now!" Anna cheered as she ran back to her room.

"Apron!" Kristoff reminded. Her socks slipped around on the floor as she ran back it o the kitchen.

"Right, catch!" She shouted as she tossed the flour covered apron over Kristoff's head. Everyone laughed as Kristoff emerged with a head full of flour.

When Anna returned, they all sat in a circle by the tree and fireplace. They were excited and nervous all at e same time. They weren't sure what to expect. "I'll go first. Here you go, Anna." Jack sweetly smiled as he handed her a red gift.

She eyed him suspiciously. Jack was known for playing dirty tricks on people. "I swear, Jackson, if this is a prank I will personally hang you from the top of the tree." Anna threatened. Jack raised his hands in surrender, showing he didn't mean any harm.

"Anna, just open it!" Elsa encouraged. Anna sighed and obeyed. After viciously tearing off the wrapping paper, she found a cardboard box. She slowly opened it and found a cute, little mug. As she lifted it up, she saw the picture Jack took of her on Black Friday. It was even paired with a quote that Elsa picked out.

Coffee and friends make the perfect blend!

"Awwww! Jack!" Anna cried as she enveloped him in a huge hug, tackling him to the ground. "I love it!" She cheered as she desperately hugged the cup close to her.

"Can I see?" Kristoff asked as she held his hand out. Anna saw and swatted his hand away, making Kristoff playfully roll his eyes.

"Where's mine?" Jack questioned. Anna hummed, then remembered she had to give it to him.

"Here. I figured this would be right up your alley." Anna smiled as she dropped a blue gift in his lap. Immediately, Jack pounced on it. He lifted his gift up, showing off a dark blue hoodie.

"Thanks Anna!" Jack cheered as he admired his gift. He was actually surprised he liked it. He thought his gift would be terrible.

"My turn!" Elsa smiled as handed Kristoff a tiny blue gift. He arched his eyebrow and opened the box. His eyes turned as wide as saucers. He awed as he lifted up a gift card to his favorite store, Cabela's.

"Thanks Elsa!" He cheered as he looked at the gift price. She swatted the complement away.

"It was no big deal. I figured you would find something you enjoyed there." Elsa grinned. She was happy she picked the right store. She had absolutely no idea if he would like it or not.

"I will. Oh, I almost forgot your gift. Here." Kristoff replied as he handed her a green present. She smiled and gently tore off the wrapping paper. Although it was sloppily wrapped, Elsa still took to heart that he actually tried for her gift. Most guys wouldn't try to wrap a present. After all, she had to wrap Jack's. When she lifted out her gift, her jaw dropped as low as the floor. "I love it!" She cried as she cuddled with her pillow.

"Ahaha! It's also a massager. You always super tense, so I hoped this would help." Kristoff nervously smiled.

"Yes Kristoff. It's perfect! Thank you so much!" Elsa cheered as she wrapped him in another hug. Today was prefect. Jack sniffed the air, smelling something funny.

"Is something burning?" He asked with a scrunched up nose. Everyone ok a deep breath as Anna ran into the kitchen.

"Shit! I forgot about the cookies in the oven!" She cried, making everyone laugh.
