Ch. 29 - When they declared rivalry

Sighing deeply as I can go as I walked with Levy through the halls, I couldn't think of anything more disturbing than grieving about what Natsu stated our relationship to Lisanna and about Lisanna doting over Natsu while keeping all the secrets from your bestfriend.

It's hard to keep secrets from Levy. She's like a human lie detector. I'm veru sure sooner or later, she'll definitely find me out . . .

"So, what do you think?" She asked, sounding curious to my opinion. She stopped to her tracks when she seemed to have noticed my absence of mind.

"Huh...?" I shook my head out of the clouds. "S-Sorry, what was it you were saying, Lev?" I laughed nervously, tucking a bit strand of hair behind my ear.

She stood on her tip toes and zoomed her eyes on mine. She lifted an eyebrow, making me look away. She backed away and with the snap of her fingers, I already knew she found me out. "Shut up!" She exclaimed. "You're in love!"

At first, I wanted a little denial but, of course, who wouldn't admit they like a guy to their bestfriend, right? I shook my head and laughed.

She held her cheeks together and looked like as if she wants to take them off. "Oh. My. Glob. I can't believe this is happening! I can't believe this is happening!!"

She squealed, running circles around me. "So, tell me! Is it... the famous *ahem* Mr. Dragneel?"

I sighed in defeat with rolling eyes. "Who else would it be, dummy?"

She kept fanning herself by the palms of her hand. She couldn't help but scream. In order to avoid her causing a scene, I covered her mouth with her handkerchief as she was fangirling.

"OMG! OMG! OMG! Tell me details!! Quick!!" Levy ordered as she held both her hands into a cirlce and kept biting her nails as she impatiently waited.

"Well... I-I like him. And... the problem is he doesn't... like me back, I think. If this would be based on what Natsu stated our relationship was to Lisanna." I shrugged along with mt answer.

"Wait, he did wha-?"

"Oh. Shoot. I forgot to tell you... Lisanna found out our secret." I slapped my palm into my face in disappointment. "Urgh! I wish she didn't find out..." I sighed in despair as I held my hair up in the air.

"H-How? W-when??"

“Levy, can we just skip that part and let me tell you--”

She folded her arms across her chest and pouted. “Tell. Me. Details.” she demanded in a hoarse voice.

Sighing in defeat, I nodded. “Fine. Fine, I'll tell you everything.”

Natsu's P.O.V.

Sitting by the edge of the stairs, I let the wind blow through my spiky but soft hair and stare down at Lucy who was talking with Levy.

“Problem?”

I look up to see Gray sit across the stairs and stare at me. “Oh, Gray.” I shrugged, continuing to stare down at Lucy. “There's... something weird going on.”

He lifted an eyebrow. “What kind of weird?”

“Lucy. She's acting all weird earlier. When Lisanna was around.”

Gray stiffled his snicker and managed to hold it down. “Dude. Seriously? How is she acting weird?”

“Well, like, uh, I only let Lisanna continue liking me with Lucy's permission and after that, she slapped me on the back for no fricking reason.”

He sighs, shaking his head. “Oh, Natsu, Natsu, Natsu, you'll get it when you turn 80.” he told me after patting me on the shoulder.

“Wha-? That's too long!”

“That's exactly your denseness level.” he stated, climbing upstairs with his head resting in his arms as he walked.

“Gray! I need help!” I called out before he could walk out.

“Try talking to her, duh, dude.”

Talk to her... huh? Ohhhh... I've got a bad feeling about this thing. But, alright, I'll give it a try.

Lucy's P.O.V.

   Levy couldn't breathe after hearing everything she needed to know about my current situation with Natsu. Boy, she must be so shocked. Poor girl--

“You have got to be kidding me.” she tapped her chin and wondered.

“T-That's why... I couldn't tell you. Sorry.”

“You don't have to say sorry to me. But to Natsu. I mean it is your fault for allowing him to allow Lisanna to like him. Get my point? Now that you're jealous, you should do something.”

My eyes widened at her statement. “W-Wha? Are you saying I should plan on keeping Natsu to myself?”

“Exactly. Especially from Lisanna. And apologize to Natsu.” she demanded with her arms folded across her chest.

“And why would I need to apologize to Natsu...?”

“You hit him. Yet not telling him why.” Levy placed an arm on her waist and shakes her head. “Just do it.” she turned and started walking away from me.

I blushed to myself, overthinking of ways on how I can apologize to Natsu.

Should I let him sleep on the bed and I on the couch?

Should I cook for him?

Should I let him sing his favorite songs which were annoying me?

Or... should I... treat him Lunch?

"So..." silence broke when someone spoke as her heels started clacking as she walked towards me. "You... like Natsu, too?"

My eyes widened at the sight. “Lisanna.”

Blush rose up to her cheeks. Her whole body shivering. “Y-You l-like Natsu, too...?” she asked in a shivering voice.

I gulped, thinking twice if I should confess or not. But... “What do you think?”

She takes a deep breath and walked towards me. “Do you plan on telling me to stay away from him? Because... if you do--”

“No. No, I don't plan to. I'm--we--Natsu and I aren't even dating.” though, I wish to.

She nodded in understanding. “Well, this is a shock. I, um, expected you to...”

“Threaten you?” I shook my head. “We're both girls who are in love with the same person. We should treat ourselves equally and work hard to make him fall for one of us.”

She looked up to me and bit her lip. "But... I feel like I have no chance here, though..."

"Hope. You must have hope. I know. It's weird to tell you an advice. But, we should hope that one day--he'll fall for one of us. So..." I put out my hand and wanted to lure her hand in. "May the best girl win?"

She paused for a while and hesitated but decided to shake it anyway.

“Deal.”

Soooooo sorry for not updating for a while. *nervously laughs* since the exams ended, Ive been having my fun. And now this week, im gonna be busy for the ongoing projects so i cant say when ill be able to update next. Thank you.
