I am really sorry for the late update
And I am a little Happ that I finally updated the story.i have to struggle so much to write this as I had lost interest in writing because of my busy schedule

Part 31

Rks phone rang for the second time and he ignored it , listening to his father in laws chitchat.
“Take the call son “ Malik said taking the tea cup from the tray madhu have been holding.the call ended but to start again.rk looked at the display and said “hello arnav”
Madhu gestured him to put it in loud speaker.
“hi buddy…where are you ?...” He asked enthusiastically
“I am at home “ rk replied
“Well…I called you to inform about my marriage “ he said
“Wow…congrats yaar …khushi ??  “ Rk asked
“Yes…ofcourse..finally I had the guts to propose her “ he chuckled
“Great arnav“madhu said .
“Oh bhabhi…thanks..you should come too “ he said
“Ofcourse “ she said
“The date is coming Thursday “ he said
“That is so close…” rk said.
“Yeah…I can’t wait to make her mine…I am planning it in a beach resort,a surprise for her .so  you have to help me with it.i am planning to  go there  tomorrow itself and set up everything.
“Well…we…” rk looked at madhu and his father in law.”we will try ….its papaji s check up date “
“Ok..I understand .. please try to make it by the wedding day “ he said in a frustrated voice
“Okay , anyway congrats dude “ rk said
“thanks yaar..bye “ he cut the call
Rk sighed and placed his cell back on the coffee table.
“Your friend??” Malik asked
“Yeah…we know each other since we were in diapers “ rk smiled recollecting their brotherly moments.
“I must say ,you two attend the wedding “ Malik said
“but papa…” madhus words were cut by Malik
“madhu…from his words ,I Know that ,you’re friends with them too “ Malik said
“Yeah papa,we met once and I really like to spend time with them ,they are really cool “ madhu said
“Then it’s fixed,you are going “ Malik said
“But papa….” Rk tried to make him rethink his decision.
'its okay son,we can manage..right padmini?:” he asked
'yeah…” padmini said with a smirk
Rk and madhu looked at each other confused about their parents behaviour .
“So go and pack “ Malik said
Rk and madhu nodded and went to their room to pack
“What’s up with them ? “ rk asked when they entered the room.
“I don’t know ,but something is definitely cooking in their mind “ she said
“What do you think it might be ?? “ rk asked eagerly
“I think ,they are planning to have a second honeymoon by sending us away “ she laughed and rk joinedher
He gazed at her smiling face and felt happy to see her warming up to him , even though it’s for few minutes .
“Don’t think I am coming with you because I like to spend time with you.” Madhu said harshly
“I Know..you hate me “ rk said defeated
Madhu felt sorry for her words that bring pain to his heart making his words waver .but her stubbornness didn’t let her to take her words back and the egoist side of her justified her words as' get deserves more than this '.she ignored him and continued packing her bags.
They said goodbye to their parents and get inside their car to airport.They didn’t see the venomous eyes that watching them .


“Thanks yaar …I didn’t thought you could make it here “ arnav said.
“ We are happy too “ rk said
Arnav smiled and welcomed them to their room.
“It’s really nice here “ madhu said looking at the view out of the balcony .the waves crashing into the rocks and the water splashing like beautiful crystals.
“Yeah…rhats y I selected this place “ arnav said proudly
“kushi will be more than happy “ madhu said
Arnav smiled at her.
“Take some rest bhabhi and allow us some man Time “ arnav said
“okay “ madhu smiled and turned to unpack her belongings.
Arnav gestured rk to follow him .tget entered the lift and arnav pressed the number to the roof top of the hotel.
“So….?” He looked at rk curiously
“so…whats the plan ?? “ rk asked smiling
“Don’t rishab….i Know something is bothering you..don’t forget I know you very well “ he said
They reached the rooftop .rk followed arnav to the seats arranged there so that the onlookers get a nice view of the ocean ahead and enjoy the breeze with something hot.
Arnav ordered some drinks for them. He looked at rk keenly and he averted his gaze
“Rishab…” arnav called him with concern seeing the moisture at the end of his eyes.he offered the drink placed by the waiter to rk.he took it and gulped down a little.
“Tell me yaar “ arnav said
Rk averted his gaze from the sea to his friend. Arnav could see the gush of emotions in his eyes under his façade .rk sighed and explained everything to arnav ,from his downfall to his current purgatory situation.
“Yaar…I am sorry “ he patted on his shoulder “ but I think we can get through this “ he assured
“But how…she really hates me “ rk said
“Let’s discuss this with Khushi ..she might have some ideas …” arnav said
Rk smiled in hope to mend his relationship with his wife.


“Wow….i am so happy arnavji…its really nice “ Khushi said in excitement seeing their wedding venue and the surprises he planned for her
“After all I am arnav Singh raizada and everything I do  will be nice and perfect “ he boasted
“hah…arnavji..your ego is sky rocketing …anyways thank you “ she said to arnav
“Thank them …they helped me “ arnav said pointing at rk who was sipping some wine and madhu who was sitting on the chair away from rk and smiled at the newly married couple .she waved at them when she saw them looking at her.Khushi waved back at her.
“There is something off with them “ Khushi said looking at arnav
“Yes …” he told the story of rk
“oh that’s really sad…they need help “ Khushi
“Yeah any plans ?? “ Arnav asked
Khushi thought for sometime.
“Yes” she strike her fingers.”we need to know whether madhu have any feelings for him “ Khushi said
“But she won’t admit it ..she is stubborn “ arnav said
“Get her drunk.. “ Khushi said with a smile
“What ?? “ arnav said
“Alcohol is the best medicine .it will bring out the truth from her ..I am sure “ she said
“ okay …I agree..but how ?? “ he asked
“Wait and watch arnavji “ she said .Khushi went down from the dias and went to the bartender.she asked for a drink and took it thanking nthe man.arnav followed his wife with a smile and when he caught rk looking at him ,he winked with a sly smile.
They reached madhus table and smiled at her.
“can we join you ?? “ Khushi asked
“Yeah of course…you are on the spot light today..so it’s a honour for me “ madhu said.
“Hmm…so you don’t mind having a drink with me “ Khushi said while pulling the Chair.
“What ??...I..ugh..” madhu stuttered
“hey ..she won’t dare to drink because rishab is watching her “ arnav said joining them .
“No…its not..” madhu try to reason but arnav cut her words
“It’s okay…we can understand ..right Khushi ?? “ arnav said with a wolfish grin.
Madhu looked at them in dilemma.she saw rk coming towards them with a glass of wine in his hand.
“What is it madhu ,you looking confused ?? “ he asked
“It’s just we asked madhu to have a drink “ arnav said
“ No…she don’t drink “ he said to arnav
“I thought so “ Khushi smirked at madhu.
Madhu grabbed the glass from khushis hand and gulped it down.
She flinched at the sour taste and wiped her lips groaning.
“Madhu,y did you…”rk stopped midsentence when madhu glared at him.
“I will do whatever I want..you are not in a position to order me around “ she said in fury .she stood up and walked to the bartender.
“I want something strong “ she ordered him
“No..madhu “rk tried to follow her by held back by arnav .
“What?? ..she might get drunk..she is taking it for the first time and what if it went wrong ??” he asked
“Don’t worry…we will manage it …sit here “  arnav assured him.yet rk looked at her gulping down the next shot..madhu came back to their table with another shot.
“How do you feel ?? “ Khushi
“Hmm…its nice..” madhu Said sipping from her glass
Rk looked at her tensed.
Khushi and arnav went to the dance floor to give the first dance by bride and groom.theu moved slowly to the music
“We get her drunk ..it was really easy …the woman has got some ego touching the sky” arnav said
“She was deeply hurt and she is just mending her sore heart by going against his words “ Khushi said
“Yeah…whats the next plan ?? “ arnav
“Well…dance “ Khushi
“Dance ??!!” arnav
“Yeah “ Khushi.
When the song end Khushi pulled arnav to the DJ .she took the mic from him .
“Ladies and gentlemen,it’s our great day and I am so happy with all the surprises arnav planned for me  and I thank my friends rishab and madhu for helping him . please I request you to have a dance with us .. pMadhu looked at her reluctantly mshe moved to her and held her hand pulling her up from her chair .she took tks hand and placed madhus on his.they looked at each other reluctantly.
Madhu was a little tipsy from her drinks.she felt the warmth of rks hand and she gasped at the tingles she felt down her spine.
Khushi asked the DJ to play the music

They moved slowly to the music.the song got into their aching heart further paining it.they looked at each other in their eyes

They could see each other’s eyes brimming with tears .They stopped their dance drowning in each other’s pain
“Madhu…i…”  rk try to say something but madhu palmed his mouth shaking her head
“Don’t say anything ..I know “ she said.
Tears rolled down their cheeks.
Someone yelled “ kiss her man “
Obuviously arnav.
Madhu stood on her toes gripping on his shoulder and reached up to his lips.
“no…”rk said to madhu
“Why rk?? ….you don’t want me?”she slurred
“No madhu…I want you..” he said
Then kiss me “ she said
Rk leaned to her lips and pecked on it.
He tried to move back but madhu gripped on his coat slamming her lips on his .he freezed for a second then his lips moved in sync with hers giving out each other’s pain in the kiss.they moved apart to breath.shr palmed his face.
“Rk ….i want you…I …I can’t see you in pain…my..my heart is broken…you are the one who break it….” Her eyes filled up
“ I…I am sorry madhu “ rk said
“ I want you..rk “she tried to kiss him .
Rk realized that they have onlookers .
“No…not here madhu “ he said
“Then take me to our room and ….make me yours “ she slurred
“Madhu…i…” she grabbed his hand and pulled him to their room.
Rk looked at the couple in hesitation.they waved at him to go with her
Madhu pulled him through the lobby in staggering steps
“Madhu…..” he tried to stop her but she was stubborn and drunk.
