RECAP - RiKara met

"Are you alright?" Omkara asked once he made her stand properly.

Gauri, whose cheeks were pink in colour, diverted her gaze from the floor to his face. "Yea...Yeah! I'm fine."

"Have we met each other before?" He asked as he felt somewhat familiar with those hazel brown eyes of her.

"I don't actually remember. But you seem familiar to me. Anyways, my name is Gauri Sharma. I am your mother's-"

"I know. And I am Omkara Singh Oberoi. Eldest son of-"

"I know." She said pompously and forwarded her right hand towards him.

Omkara smiled impressed. They shook their hands while staring into each other's eyes.

Few seconds later, they withrewed their hands awkwardly.

"By the way, where is your wife?" She asked trying to avoid the awkwardness between them.

"WHAT?! I am not married." He said shocked.

"I mean, where is your laptop? Rudy told that-"

"I knew it. That duffer might have said this to you. He is just mad. Don't mind him."

Gauri nodded still trying to stifle her laughter.

"You are teasing me." He accused her.

That was it for her, she started laughing. Seeing her laughing, Omkara couldn't help as he also laughed along with her.

"Do you know where is my Mom?" He asked once their laughter subsided.

"Yeah. She is with my Mumma in the kitchen. And I think I should go now. They might be searching for us. I was thinking where did this Rudy and Avanthi went. They were with me a few minutes back." She said looking around.

"Avanthi? Your sister?"

Gauri nodded smiling.

"The other one, Bhavya, didn't come. She is in abroad for her studies but will come back soon."

"Hmm. Come, let's go to the kitchen. Maybe they will be with our mothers."

They were going towards the kitchen when they noticed their mothers and siblings in the living room with an old woman.

"Who is that?"

"That is my Daadi." He said.

"Ooh! But I didn't notice her earlier." She said surprised as well as confused.

"She just came now. She went to a Aashram few months back. Now that we returned back permanently, she came back."

"Look who all are here, Mummy ji." Jhanvi said looking at their direction.

Kalyani turned to see her grandson along with a beautiful petite girl, whom she instantly identified as Anjali's daughter. Seeing them together again after many years, brought back many beautiful memories to her.

Situations were not different with Jhanvi and Anjali too. But Rudra and Avanthika were in their own world, playing video games.

"Daadi!" Omkara called out to her as he went and hugged his grandmother.

Kalyani smiled as she patted the back of his head.

"Hey Rabba! What have you done to yourself, Om? Look at yourself, how skinny have you become?"

Omkara rolled his eyes at his grandmother's usual drama.

While Gauri was looking shockingly at her. How could she even tell something like that?! How could she call this well-built man a skinny person?!

"Your mother is not taking care of you. I can't blame her too. She is just taking care of her husband and that is also what she should do now. I can't see you become a skeleton. There is only a single solution for this problem and that is you should-"

"I am not get married." Omkara stated as he stood up and sat on the sofa, opposite to his grandmother.

Kalyani and Jhanvi sighed helplessly.

"Anju, now you please try to make him understand. This boy never listen to us." Jhanvi said to her best friend.

"Mom, I am just 26. How can I get married at this age?" Omkara asked his mother exasperated. His mother and grandmother is hell bent on getting him married, since then when they got to know from a stupid pundit that if he didn't get married before he turn twenty seven, then it would cause danger to his life.

"You were matured enough to start your own business at the age of twenty two, Mr Omkara Singh Oberoi. If you can do that, then you can do this too. And we changed our decision from directly getting you married to getting you engaged first, for you. So that you could spend some time together, understand each other and get married. Now what's your problem?" Jhanvi asked her son sternly.

Omkara looked around helplessly when he noticed Gauri still standing at the same position fidgeting, clearly uncomfortable.

"Why are you still standing there, Gauri? Come and sit."

He frowned when she still didn't move from there. He followed her gaze and realised that there was no sofa left for her to sit. There were one single-seated sofa and four double-seated sofa in the living room. First one was occupied by Daadi, while Anjali and Jhanvi was occupying the second one. Two other double-seaters were occupied largely by Rudra and Avanthika, who were in their own game world. The last one was occupied by Omkara, but as he was sitting in the middle of the sofa, Gauri was not able to sit.

Realising, Omkara moved a little towards the side and actioned her to sit.

Sighing in relief, Gauri went and sat near him.

"Thank you." She whispered.

"Why didn't you tell me earlier? You should have told me right?"

Gauri looked at him in disbelief while he smiled back at her sheepishly.

Omkara turned back, only to see the ladies watching them with a fond smile on their faces.

He raised one of his eyebrows at them. Now, what the hell is going on their mind?

"They are still the same, isn't Jaanu?" Anjali asked her best friend with a hint of tears in her eyes.

In reply, Jhanvi just sniffed and wiped her nose using her saree's pallu.

"Do you both know? You both were exactly like this in your childhood too. Even Rudy." Daadi said.

Omkara and Gauri looked at each other surprised. It also caught Rudra's attention.

"Really?" They chorused.

"I don't know if you remember it or not. But in your childhood, one day Gauri tried to grab a boiling pan. And Rudra, who saw this, came running towards her. She was standing on a stool so Rudra, being the ideal friend tried to save her by picking her up. But one thing that he forgot was, he was also a young boy of her age. As a result, both of them fell on the floor."

Everyone looked at Rudra, who was giving a embarassed smile to everyone.

"Fortunately or unfortunately, Omkara entered the kitchen at the same time and he helped them to stand on their feet. Without knowing that Rudra was saving Gauri, Omkara started scolding him for making her fall. Poor Rudra, he started crying."

Rudra glared at Omkara, who was avoiding his gaze.

"And Gauri, seeing her best friend getting scolded and cry, bursted out in anger. She angrily scolded Omkara to her heart's content and dragging her friend, she went away."

Omkara raised one of his eyebrows at Gauri, who was cheekily grinning at him.

"So I guess, I am the black sheep among them." Avanthika said out of nowhere.

"No, Avanthi. I am almost sure that these three don't remember everything from their childhood. They were away from each other for these many years, so it's quite normal that they don't remember anything. Right?" Jhanvi asked looking at them.

They just shrugged their shoulders in return.

Later, they were informed by one of the servant that the breakfast is served.

After breakfast, Gauri was talking with Bhavya in the main balcony while the others were in the living room.

Omkara, as usual, was busy with his laptop. Rudra and Avanthika were busy gossiping. Daadi was resting in her room.

Jhanvi and Anjali were reminiscing their college life.

"Mumma, when are we going back?" Asked Gauri as she walked back from the balcony.

"What? You all are going back today itself?" Jhanvi asked shocked.

"Yes, what happened, Jaanu?"

"Kya yaar? We are meeting after these many years and now you are telling you would be going back. Not fair. Atleast stay here until Vishaal and Tej come back from their business tour." Jhanvi requested.

"Ok fine. Now don't start you drama." Anjali said chuckling.

"But Mumma, what about my laptop?"

"Gauri! You are also a laptop addict like Om?" Jhanvi asked dramatically.

Omkara rolled his eyes still concentrating on his work.

"No Jaanu Aunty. Papa assigned me a work. I thought we will return back today itself. So I didn't take my laptop. And I need a laptop for completing the work. Now what will I do?"

"What's wrong with this Vishaal? He himself didn't come here and now disturbing the ones who came here with his stupid work." Anjali scoffed.

"Mumma, it is important for me."

"But about what work you two are talking about? Gauri works in your company or what?" Jhanvi asked confused.

"No, Jaanu. She wants to start her own boutique. So Vishaal is just training her before he let her fly on her own and achieve her dreams."

"Very nice, Gauri. Keep doing well and make us all proud. And if it's okay then I will give you Tej's spare laptop."

"It's more than okay, Aunty. I just need one laptop." Gauri told grinning.

"Come with me then." Jhanvi said smiling as she stood up.

So how was the chapter guys?

I know it was boring and short too. Really sorry. I am trying my best to bring out my usual self. It will take some time. Keep supporting and loving me like you always did, which will definitely encourage me to go on.

And one more thing, RiKara readers are getting less active day-by-day. I don't know what happened to everyone. Some are just disappearing into thin air. And if readers are not there to support our writers, how are they going to write something? So my dear silent readers, now you can only do something. Just show some love to all those writers, who spend their quality time to entertain us. This is the only one thing I ask to all of you for ALL OUR BELOVED WATTPAD WRITERS.

And I just hope everyone who went from here come back to us soon🙃❤️

Wait till the next update.

Till then bye
With love
Devu❤️
