Kerala, popularly known as the God's own country. Stretches of canons and lakes, along with swaying coconut trees, and a spell of greenery offers an experience that one cannot find anywhere else.

Its lush unspoiled tropical beauty, exotic locales and tranquil backwaters attract people all around the world.

Omkara and Gauri were two among those millions of people who were captured by the serenity of Kerala.

When their siblings suggested a destination wedding for them, the first place that came to their mind was Kerala.

Having visited Kerala a number of times before and falling in love with their mouthwatering cuisine, Jhanvi and Anjali quickly agreed.

And now, here they are in the God's own country for the much awaited wedding of Omkara and Gauri.

"Wow, Bade Papa. This mansion is bigger than our's in Mumbai." Avanthika said in wonder looking around the royal mansion.

Vishaal and Tej chuckled hearing that.

"Let's go and take rest now. I'm so tired after the travelling." Jhanvi said sighing.

"Yeah, starting from tomorrow there will be back to back rituals. We will not be getting any time to rest for the next few days. Everyone go to your rooms and rest." Anjali said.

"We can select any of the rooms that we like?" Avanthika asked excited.

"Yes, but do it quickly because once our other relatives come then you won't be getting any chance to select. Fair warning, their flight has already landed." Vishaal said.

Avanthika and Rudra ran upstairs without wasting any time.

Bhavya shook her head before following them.

Gauri looked at Omkara and saw him busy with his phone. She rolled her eyes and followed them.

The Oberois and Sharmas reached the destination in their private jet. Since it was a very private wedding with only close relatives and friends, only a few guests were there. They were coming by flight.

"This room looks amazing. We'll take this, di?" Avanthika asked her sister.

Rudra had already selected his room. Only the girls were remaining.

Gauri smiled looking around. Out of all the rooms they had seen, this one was the best.

"Yeah, this is nice." Bhavya said.

"Sorry to disappoint you girls. But this one is already booked." Omkara said coming out of the washroom.

"Oh sorry, jeeju. We didn't know that you selected this room already." Avanthika apologized.

"Come, Avanthi. We will search for another room." Bhavya said.

"Wait! We are not going anywhere. We three liked this room and we are staying here only." Gauri said stubbornly.

Omkara frowned in confusion.

"Gauri, what is this behaviour? Jeeju came here first-"

"So what? We liked this room." She said again.

"What happened to you?" Omkara and Bhavya chorused.

"What will happen to me?" She asked back.

"Gauri." Omkara called her.

Gauri looked away without looking at him.

Omkara sighed and said, "So it's me. What did I do?"

"Bhavya, tell him that I don't wanna talk to him." Gauri told her sister.

"Oh please! I don't want to interfere. We are going to some other room. You do whatever you want." Bhavya said before moving out of the room with Avanthika.

"Bhavya!" Gauri called out and started going outside the room, when Omkara held her hand.

"Gauri, look at me." He said.

When she refused to do so, Omkara pulled her into his arms.

Gauri gasped landing onto his chest.

"Why are you upset with me?" He asked gently, looking into her eyes.

Gauri tried to look away but he held her cheek preventing her from doing so.

"Why are you ignoring me?" Gauri asked back.

"Ignore? When did I ignore you?" Omkara asked her in confusion.

"You didn't talk to me since we started off from Mumbai." Gauri said pouting.

"What?" Omkara asked a smile erupting on his lips.

"Yeah! Either you were busy with our parents or your phone. You didn't even mind me for a minute." Gauri said.

Omkara chuckled hearing that.

"You are laughing? Fine! Leave me." Gauri said trying to wriggle out of his hold.

Omkara tightened his hold around her.

"Gauri, after marriage you would be coming with us. I thought you would like to spend some time with your family. That's why I didn't disturb you." Omkara told her.

Gauri looked at him surprised.

"Otherwise, you know I would never waste a chance to spend time with you."

Gauri smiled hearing that and pulled his cheek.

"Okay! I forgive you." Gauri said as if doing a favour.

Omkara chuckled hearing that.

"You can take this room, I will go to another one." Omkara said cupping her face in his palm.

"No. They must have selected some other room and I was just messing with you earlier." Gauri said cheekily.

Omkara pulled her nose playfully hearing that.

"On a side note, it's good that I'm using this room." Omkara said smiling.

"Oh, why?" Gauri asked curiously.

"You know right we will be staying here for one more day after our wedding?" He asked.

"Yeah." Gauri said.

"I guess you might also be knowing that wedding night happens in the groom's room." Omkara said smiling mischievously.

Gauri looked at him with wide eyes.

"So it's a good thing that I choose the best room here, right?" He asked her teasingly.

"Shameless!" Gauri said blushing before pushing him and tried to run away.

Omkara held her hand and pulled her back into his arms, as he back hugged her.

"Now itself you are blushing like this, I wonder what will happen later." Omkara said teasingly.

Gauri looked down as her cheeks turned red.

"Leave me. Someone will see." She said shyly.

"Oooh! So if no was there to see, then it was okay?" He asked grinning.

"Shut up!" Gauri said hitting his arms around her.

Omkara chuckled and softly kissed her cheek before leaving her. He smiled happily seeing her run away blushing.

Gauri came down to the living room after a small nap and saw that rest of the guests had reached.

"Hey Gauri!"

Gauri smiled seeing Shivaay, Omkara's best friend, who also owns an event management company. He was the one planning and coordinating all the wedding functions.

"Hey, bhaiyya! When did you reach?" Gauri asked smiling.

"Just an hour back. My team members have also reached. We will start with the decorations soon." He said.

"You had such a long travel, take some rest, bhaiyya. First function starts by tomorrow evening only." Gauri said feeling concerned.

"I can't rest properly until I feel myself that everything is perfect. Also I want my best friend's and my sister's wedding to be perfect." Shivaay said smiling.

"Now I realise how you both became best friends." Gauri said shaking her head.

"But I'm not that much of a workaholic like your fiancé." Shivaay said grinning.

"That was all in the past, Shivaay bhaiyya. Now, nothing is more important to O than bhabhi." Rudra said wrapping his arm around Gauri.

Gauri rolled her eyes turning a little pink.

"You have to see how he forgets everything whenever he sees bhabhi. He stares at her in such a way that sometimes I feel scared that buri nazar lag jayegi. What all things he was telling before! I don't want to get married. I'm not ready. I don't think marriage is a good idea. Blah blah. And now..." Rudra sighed dramatically.

Gauri slapped his arm lightly hearing that.

Omkara cleared his throat loudly catching their attention.

Rudra's eyes widened seeing his brother and chuckled nervously.

"Hey, O!" Rudra said with a nervous smile.

Omkara smiled coming towards him.

"You were telling something." Omkara said.

"Really? But I didn't-" He stopped seeing Omkara scowling at him.

Rudra quickly pulled Gauri in between when he saw his brother taking predatory steps towards him.

"Bhabhi, help me." Rudra begged.

"Rudy, come in front of me." Omkara ordered.

"Bhabhi!"

"Rudy, don't make me hit you." Omkara warned.

"BHABHI!"

"Om, what is this behaviour? Why are you scaring that poor boy." Gauri asked frowning.

"I'm scaring him?" Omkara asked ridiculously.

"Of course! Who else?" She asked back.

Omkara glared at Rudra who sniggered at him.

Seeing his brother's furious look, Rudra for good measure pushed Gauri into Omkara's arms and ran away screaming.

"MUMMY!"

"This boy!" Omkara sighed while making his fiancée stand properly.

"You are going to get trapped between these two brothers, Gauri." Shivaay said grinning.

Gauri chuckled hearing that while Omkara rolled his eyes smiling.

DAY 1 : POOJA DAY AND MEHENDI CEREMONY

Early Morning

Omkara looked at his brother in irritation, when he started dozing off leaning onto his shoulder.

"Rudy, wake up you idiot!" Omkara told shrugging his shoulder.

Rudra made a crybaby face, his eyes still half closed.

"It's your wedding, why should I wake up early?" Rudra asked sleepily resting his head on the living room sofa.

"Because there is a special pooja at the temple and it is not often that we visit the Guruvayur temple. Come on, stand up! They are coming." Omkara said standing up seeing rest of their family members coming down.

Omkara stopped in surprise seeing Gauri in a saree for the very first time. GOD! She looks so beautiful!

Rudra stood up finally and frowned seeing his brother standing still. He turned to look at what caught his attention and then smirked.

"O, you can stare at bhabhi as long as you want after your marriage. If you don't stop your staring session now, your in-laws might think that they are getting their daughter married to a creep." Rudra whispered.

Omkara came out of his dreamland and whacked his brother's head.

After offering their prayers and coming out of the temple, Gauri was putting her sandals back on when she saw Omkara coming towards alone.

"Hey!" Omkara said smiling.

"Hey! Where did everyone go?" Gauri asked him.

"They went to collect the prasad. Come, let's go there." He said.

Gauri nodded her head.

Omkara looked at her walking beside him. He was still mesmerized seeing her in that saree. She always looked beautiful in every outfit, but seeing her in a saree for the very first time took his breath away. Whole time, their family was with them because of which he couldn't talk to her properly rather than staring at every opportunity he got.

Gauri turned her head to the side and saw him looking at her.

"What happened?" Gauri asked curiously.

"I have never seen anyone this beautiful wearing a saree." Omkara said smiling at her.

Gauri looked at him surprised as her cheeks turned pink.

"You don't wear it often?" He asked smiling seeing her blush.

"No. At times I wear it while attending wedding functions or during temple visits." She said smiling.

Omkara nodded his head.

Gauri felt him taking her hand in his and looked up to see him walking very casually while holding her hand. She smiled and held his hand back.

"You are happy, right?" Omkara asked her.

Gauri looked at him hearing the unexpected question and saw his serious look.

"Yesterday, what I said about you coming with us...." He said hesitating.

Gauri smiled realising what he was indicating.

"I didn't feel anything yesterday. But today when I saw the decorations and all, I think now only it clicked me that I'm getting married. That I will be staying away from my parents and sisters."

"They are just half an hour away. You can visit them whenever you want. Even they can come to our home."

"I know. But still these feelings, I can't control it. I think every girl passes through this phase atleast once in their life." Gauri said.

"I understand." Omkara said squeezing her hand.

"But I'm happy that I'm getting such loving in-laws, who love me like my own family." Gauri said smiling.

"Only in-laws? What about your husband?" Omkara asked cheekily.

"To-be husband."

"Just a matter of one day." He said shrugging.

Gauri blushed hearing that.

"So?"

"Yeah, he is also nice." Gauri said controlling her smile.

"Only nice?"

"What else?" She asked acting clueless.

"Wasn't he a loving and caring fiancé till date?"

"Huh! He is too busy to spend some time with me!" Gauri said looking away.

Omkara looked at her in shock for a second before he slowly smiled.

"I will take care of it soon." Omkara said squeezing her hand.

Gauri turned to look at him and blushed seeing him stare at her.

Everyone was having paal payasam, which is a special prasad from Guruvayur temple made of a sweet rice pudding made with rice, milk, and sugar.

Omkara noticed a bit of payasam on the side of Gauri's lips. He gestured her about it but she failed to understand what he was saying.

Omkara came forward and wiped it off her lips using his thumb.

Gauri stared at him surprised as her heart started beating rapidly against her chest.

Omkara smiled moving back, but his smile froze seeing his mother give him a teasing look.

"I'm happy that you are following your mother's path rather than your father's." Jhanvi said proudly patting his shoulder.

Omkara flashed an awkward smile at her and quickly escaped from there.

Evening

MEHENDI FUNCTION

The garden side was beautiful decorated for the mehendi ceremony.

Dressed in a pretty green lehenga, Gauri was looking extremely beautiful.

Mehendi was already put on the bride's hands and legs, and she was sitting while enjoying watching the people dancing and singing.

That was when the the groom's entry was made. The ladies ushered him to the place where Gauri was seated.

Gauri smiled as he sat beside her and the ladies left to continue their work.

"Mehendi is done already?" Omkara asked her.

"You are late."

"I was under supervision. Now only I got the permission to come here." Omkara said making faces.

Gauri chuckled seeing that.

"Is my name in there?" He asked gently holding her hands.

Gauri nodded with a happy smile.

Omkara was looking for his name in her hands when someone's hand blocked his vision. He looked up to see his mother along with his mother-in-law and sister-in-laws.

"You shouldn't see your name now." Jhanvi told him.

"Why?" He asked confused.

"You can't, Om." Anjali said smiling.

"And why is that so?"

"What, jeeju? You don't even know that? You should find your name in di's hands only on your first night." Avanthika said shaking her head disappointed.

"Oh!" Omkara said feeling embarassed.

"Seems like you know everything about this more than anyone else, Avanthi." Bhavya said smirking.

"Who doesn't know about this? Even small kids nowadays know all these and much more." Avanthika said shrugging.

Bhavya rolled her eyes hearing that.

"Enough, enough. You both leave them alone and come with us. Lot of work is pending." Anjali said.

"Gauri, don't let him find his name now." Jhanvi told her.

Gauri nodded in agreement.

Jhanvi and Anjali left.

"Also Gauri, don't let jeeju sleep on the bed if he fails to find his name. It's also a ritual." Bhavya said teasingly.

Avanthika laughed hearing that.

Omkara playfully smacked their heads and the duo ran away while laughing.

Gauri was chuckling when she felt him take her hands in his. She looked down and saw that he was searching for his name again. She quickly pulled her hands away.

"What?" Omkara asked shocked.

"Are you deaf? Didn't you hear what they said earlier?" Gauri asked frowning.

Omkara looked at her confused.

"You are allowed to find your name only on our first night." She said in finality.

"I clearly heard them. But seems like my bride is too excited for our first night." Omkara said smirking.

Gauri stopped in shock hearing that.

"Why so impatient, Gauri?" Omkara asked her teasingly hitting her shoulder with his.

"Shut up!" Gauri blushed hitting his stomach with her elbow.

Omkara chuckled.

"You want something to drink?" He asked her.

Gauri nodded in yes.

Omkara looked around and waved at a waiter, who quickly came towards them with a tray filled with drinks.

Omkara took two glasses of juice and thanked him before sending him away. He kept one of the glasses on the table and forwarded the other one towards her.

Gauri was about to carefully hold the glass without smudging her mehendi when he pulled the glass away. She looked at him and raised her eyebrows.

Omkara quietly asked her to drink bringing the glass close to her lips.

Gauri smiled and then drank from it. She smiled even more when she felt his other hand supporting the back of her head.

"Do you want one more?" He asked after she finished.

"No, thank you."

Omkara nodded keeping the empty glass on the table and then took his drink.

Gauri smiled seeing Rudra coming towards them.

"O, bhabhi come there na. Everyone is dancing and enjoying and the people who should actually enjoy are simply sitting here." Rudra said.

Omkara watched as Gauri stood up with an excited smile and turned to look at him. He was about to refuse but seeing his bride looking expectantly at him, he couldn't disappoint her. Also these moments happen only once in a lifetime, and he wanted to enjoy it to the fullest with her.

Gauri smiled happily as he stood up with her and then the duo went towards the others to entertain themselves.
