Chapter 24

Ishana couldn't wait to get home tonight. She waited till late into the night to open up her laptop. With her heart beating rapidly and sweat slowly forming on her forehead she finally managed to enter the black market. Her close friend had told her about how there were people who could either make things disappear or magically appear according to what you need and what Ishana needs is someone who could help her make a videoclip as well as alter it. It took her two hours to finally find a person with the nickname AJ he was known to be the best at placing people in damning situations using photoshop and some kind of software he developed himself where one couldn't even prove that the clip or photo was fake. The only problem was his price tag was very high but for Ishana that was not a problem. As her fingers started to tremble she finally managed to send AJ an email..."it's all or nothing! Om is mine!" Clenching her fists and planning out her next move "first thing tomorrow I will get what I need at Oberoi Mansion" her lips hooked up just thinking about how there was no way Omkara could escape her trap.

After a wonderful dinner with his siblings Om couldn't contain his happiness when staring at the woman next to him while driving her home. "You should really keep your eyes on the road Dear Husband." He hated this part of the night when he had to drop her off so he always purposely drive a little slower but this gesture was already apparent to Gauri. "I have always been curious if one could actually get a ticket driving below the speed limit."

Om: Are you teasing me Dear Wife?

Gauri: It's only teasing if you were actually embarrassed of your actions but looking as to how you do this everytime I can be sure that you would still continue to do so. And besides...I also like spending more time with you.

Om: So what do you think of my siblings?

Gauri: I can tell that you guys are really close. Seeing the close bond you have with them makes me wish that I had siblings to rely on now and then.

Om reaches out to hold Gauri's hand "You have me now and you should also rely on me more." The warmth of his hand holding hers made Gauri feel as if maybe this time around she could actually be happy. The relationship with her father has been better than Gauri could ever imagine and now sitting beside her is a man so loving and powerful that even if Kali Thakur tried to ruin her it would not be so easy. Om had noticed that Gauri's mind was elsewhere by the time he pulled up to her house "What are you thinking?" Gauri breathes out a long sigh "It's been so long since I long for someone to love me and having you is starting to make me greedy for more. Would you laugh at me if I told you that after tonight I also wish to be close to you and your family?" Reaching out to gently run his fingers along her cheek "Why would I laugh at that? Even I want you to be included in both of my worlds. Do you think you are up to having breakfast tomorrow morning?"

Gauri lips slightly curves up "Hm..Your siblings have accepted me but now you are trying to introduce me to Dadi? Do you want to irritate her so early in the morning?"

Om leans in to softly kiss Gauri's sweet lips as he whispers "At least I know I made an effort to give her a clear sign as to which woman is Omkara Singh Oberoi."

Gauri grabs Om's silky hair as she gently licks his lips and nips at it "So you are just trying to prepare her mentally to what's to come on your Birthday? I find it a bit odd that you are not as close to your Dadi like how you are with your siblings."

Om: Lets just say my Dadi sees me as a thorn. I laugh at how she tries to push Ishana towards me.

Gauri: Why is it laughable?

Om: Can't you already tell? To still maintain the secret that I am 100% Oberoi I need to marry someone just as worthy as the Oberoi name. In the end its still all about keeping a front so that no one will feel the need to dig into my birth.

Gauri: Don't you think she is just being paranoid? They have concealed it for so long I highly doubt anyone would question it. But then again as long as you have enemies there is always a chance someone will find out. What would you do then if the secret comes out?

Om leans back against his seat and look towards the dark night "I have no problems about it but out of all my siblings only Shivaay knows. I don't want to create trouble for them since they have tried really hard to built up the Oberoi empire."

Gauri: How come you don't tell them about "O" ?

Om looks back at his wife "Because "O" is someone that I created in my darkest time. It is a big part of my life that I know they cannot accept but now I finally found you. A woman that can accept me for who I really am and now that you know everything about me when will you tell me about Kali?

Gauri was taken back at the sudden question because she knew that Om had previously already asked Bhavya for the intel on Kali Thakur so having him still ask her made her suspicious that her husband might of already know that the information given was lacking.

Gauri: Why do I have a feeling you already know the things regarding Kali Thakur and my family? Are you testing me now?

Om pinches his wife's cheek "Too smart for your own good."

Gauri: Are you trying to ask me for permission to go after Kali Thakur? If so I would like it if you would let me handle it.

Om grabs his wife's arm to pull her in closer so that she could see the slight anger in his eyes "No. I refuse to let you handle it alone. You are my wife now..your problems are my number one priority. Besides your enemy is seeking me out these days."

Gauri eyes widen "What do you mean by that?"

Om leans in to breathe against Gauri's ear leaving goosebumps all over her body "Because he wants to talk to "O"."

Gauri: Hm...that man just can't let it go can he. What are you planning?

Om evilly laughs: Meet him of course. I want to see who he wants me to kill. Besides I have already dispatch my men to sneak into his network and Bareilly to slowly dismantle it. I will make him lose everything! The tears he made my wife shed will be paid dearly.

Gauri: Can I be there when you meet him? I want to see him face to face..the demon that took everything from me.

Om: Of course. It's more fun to enjoy his demise together.

Gauri locks her arms around Om's neck and hugged him tight "Thank you."

Om: Well it's getting late. I will send someone to pick you up early tomorrow.

Gauri: Goodnight.

Om waited until he could no longer see Gauri's figure to pick up his cell phone to call Khanna

Khanna: Boss?

Om: Let them think they had succeeded on finding "O"

Khanna: Yes Boss. Is there anything else I need to prepare?

Om: What is the situation in Bareilly?

Khanna: Our men say that Kali Thakur runs everything in Bareilly but compare to how things are in Mumbai it's not even worthy of our time.

Om's lips hooked up "No matter if its small it will still hurt him to know that soon he will lose everything."

Khanna: As of right now his two brothers are managing the drugs coming in and out of Bareilly as long as human trafficking. Those two things seems to be their biggest asset.

Om sneers "Vile business for a vile man. So fitting."

Khanna: So what do you want us to do? Our men are in place.

Om: Since he is here busy bothering my wife we should use this time to take everything he has in Bareilly. I know you have been bored lately Khanna so I will let you decide what you want to do in Bareilly. Remember..use any means necessary and no need to show mercy...I would rather you take your time and have fun if you know what I mean.

Khanna does not remember the last time he has been so excited and now that his boss has given him the green light to do whatever he wants Khanna couldn't wait to have some fun of his own. "Thanks Boss. Its been boring lately and rest assure I will take care of things in Bareilly keeping in mind we are taking revenge for our Mistress.

Om smiles hearing his right hand man refer to Gauri as their Mistress "Good. When things are done report to me."

Khanna: Yes Boss.

Early next morning Om had woken up and was about to send a driver to pick Gauri up but had decided that he should go himself instead which was obviously a pleasant surprise for Gauri when she saw him chatting with her father. They seem to be having a serious conversation so Gauri decided to not make her presence known as she listens to the two men in her life talk.

Tej: So I hear you are wanting to introduce Gauri to your entire family this morning?

Om: Yes. She met my siblings last night.

Tej looks up from sipping on his coffee "So today you want her to meet your Dadi?"

Om: Yes.

Tej: I trust you will do right by my daughter and will not allow anyone to disgrace her or question her character?

Om: Of course.

Tej: Then you have my blessing but Omkara...If you are not able to follow through with your promise I will not standby and do nothing.

Om: I understand.

Om reaches into is jacket pocket to pull out an invitation "Mr. Sharma I personally also want to invite you to my Birthday party next Saturday."

Tej was a bit suspicious since he has never gotten an invite from any of the Oberois before "Do you think it's a good idea to have me attend??

Om smiles as if he had an ulterior motive "Out of everyone invited you are the one that MUST come."

Tej could sense that Om's words had a hidden meaning but since the young man was going to be his future son-in-law he decided to trust him for now. "Since you personally delivered this invite I will surely attend."

Gauri couldn't help but smile as she listens to the two men talk. Her heart was filled with so much happiness knowing that Om was already planning to make sure that her father would be present when he announces to everyone of their marriage. Even though she had tried to not disturb them Om had already sense her presence the moment she was walking down the staircase. Once he was done taking care of business with Tej he turned around and smiled at his loving wife "Ri. Are you ready?"

Gauri nodded at her husband and bid her father farewell and the two made their way to Oberoi Mansion where everyone has begun to make their way towards the dining hall to have their daily breakfast. Everyone at the Oberoi mansion was excited because last night Om had already told them that he was bringing Gauri to join them for breakfast. At first Shivaay didn't think it would be a good idea because he didn't want to upset Dadi and risk the chance of her having another heart attack but when Om told him that sooner or later Dadi would find so it didn't matter how long they waited the outcome would still be the same. Annika and Rudra on the other hand was super excited to see Gauri again unlike Shivaay they knew that Gauri could handle whatever venom Dadi would spill out. As they all seated on the table Dadi noticed that Om was missing "Where is Omkara? Did he not come home last night?"

Shivaay: He did Dadi. He is just running a tad late.

Rudra heard footsteps coming towards them and jumped in excitement "I think they are here!"

Dadi eyebrows furrowed "They?"

But when they saw who was standing before them Annika and Rudra looked at each other surprised as they mouthed to one another "Ishana?!"

Ishana: Morning Dadi. Morning everyone.

Dadi: Morning Dear. Here sit beside me and have breakfast.

Ishana with her happy smile hurried over to sit beside Dadi but the moment she sat down the first thing she saw was Omkara holding Gauri's hand as he escorted her towards the dining table.

Ishana thinks to herself "Damnit! Why is are they here! Lately Omkara is never home and on the one day I need him to not be he shows up! And to top it off he dares to bring HER!"

But Ishana was not the only one who didn't like the sudden surprise...Dadi could be seen clenching her fists as well has furrow her eyebrows the minute she saw Gauri walk in with Omkara. And when Omkara pulled out a chair for Gauri to sit beside him Dadi couldn't help but use this opportunity to put her in her place "Is the Sharma household so lacking that you would have to come here for breakfast?"
