I saw Nana's despair while she fell to her knees breaking my heart, my eyes for watery and guilt filled my mind.

"You should not know that," she said in a trembling voice, Blaze looked at me and gave me a reassuring nod

"You can do it" he mouthed giving me strength

I kneeled down in the grassy field looking for her eyes that held shame and sorrow. I gave her a small smile "I love you, Nana" I told her catching her attention " I know I don't say it much, but I do love you and all I want for you is to be happy" I said spreading my smile through my face "You are a strong and admirable woman, I look up to you and so does everyone in this family. You should not hide something that makes you happy Nana" her eyes were shiny and few tears rolled down her face provoking the water in my eyes do the same "If they oppose, if they get angry...honestly is none of their business you're happy and if they don't see that then it's their own lost."

"You did nothing but protect and strengthen this family and meanwhile I hardly believe you had your free and happy time. Please, Nana, don't waste this huge opportunity and be the woman you've always been" I told her, once my speech was over, she kissed my cheek and I felt her watery tear rub into my cheek. She got up and I followed her lead, she looked at me and then at Blaze.

Her eyes got back to mine, and she threw a soft smile and caressed my cheek " How did I get so lucky to have you? You were always such a caring and strong girl and now you are a beautiful and mature woman. How did the time fly? You are now lecturing me" she said while taking a deep breath "I know you're right, but it's just hard to do so. I simply can't"

"If I may intrude-" Blaze started making my grandma's eyebrow lift in curiosity and my eyes widen in fear. She nodded peacefully waiting for him to proceed "Not that I have anything to do with it, I am barely part of the family but I think you are a very lucky person. You found love two times, each time different but you still found it, that is something rare to happened and when it does we should grab it because when we look at it again, it might be too late... like everything, something doesn't last a lifetime so if you're happy you should claim what's yours, what makes you happy"

Nana smiled at him nodding " I guess you're right" she took a deep breath looking at both of us "Where did you find such a wonderful man?" she asked me, I shrugged my shoulders cleaning the tears running down my face. "You two are sure something else" she said caressing my face and his, the warm moment came quickly to an end when she cleaned her tears and placed her veil around her neck "Let's go" she claimed walking away from us.

I placed my hand to my heart and took a deep breathe, a long breathe that I seemed to be hiding for this past hours. Blaze grabbed the baskets with the apples and held my hand gently "C'mon let's go" he said sweetly while guiding me through the orchard.

Nana was almost went like running through the green field "she really is fast" Blaze mentioned " Are you sure she is 70?" he asked making me laugh. She organized everyone in the living room, she sat everyone down and called all her employees including Arturo.

"This must be the big announcement" I heard Aunt Paloma whisper. I started to feel anxious for Nana but I calmed down once I felt Blaze's arm around me.

"Yes, it is!" Gramma said, she was gracefully standing her hands clenched together it looked like she was about to sign opera.

"I have something to tell you all" she commented " Some of you might not take it well, some of you won't care at all" she said looking at Charlie " but it needs to be said"

"Are you dying?"Aunt Paloma asked getting up "Mother! What is it?" she started to cry, her siblings looked at her and their scared faces merged

"Oh my god Mama! por qué no dijiste nada?" my mother asked with tears running down her face.
Why didn't you say anything?

"Is it cancer? Mom, we can fix this" Aunt Linda exclaimed " we will pay for the surgery and the chemo and the medicines"

"What us happening? Are you dying?" Uncle Joel questioned in concern. While her grown up children were being dramatic and crying and bringing worry to everyone else making my cousins worried and the employees too, Nana imposed order by knocking her feet on the ground and yelling

" SILENCIO!" SILENCE

Everybody quiet up, it was like they swallowed their tears once she screamed in her angry voice. She took a deep breath, her pose intact " I am in love" she said making everyone gasp, the whispers started and she looked at Arturo with a smile " that man over there" everyone guided her eyes and landed on Arturo. He was astonished, a bit taken back not really expecting none of this, but a smile creeped on his face once he realized my Nana was declaring herself to him in front of the whole family. "Has been making me happy, the happiest I've been in awhile. I never thought I could feel this again but I do. So I would gladly appreciate your comprehension because I am in a relationship with Arturo" she said smiling at him

I looked over at everyone's faces "Here we go" I whispered to myself. And the chaos started

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?" My mother inquired

"Are you what? Dating this man?" Uncle Joel questioned

"Padre nuestro, que estás en el cielo, Santif—" my aunt Paloma started to muble Lord's Prayer in Spanish

"DAMN grandma" Diana commented

"That's stable man" Julia inquired

"It was your mother I saw kissing!" Uncle James exclaimed

"-cado Tu nombre, Venga a nosotros Tu reino"

"Oh my god it was them in the stable" Dennis realized

"I can't believe we don't have a boyfriend and Nana does" Lorena claimed

"How old is he?" Uncle Joel questioned

"I always knew" One of the maids commented

" Should we leave?"  Blaze suggested

"Maybe we should" I responded

"Hágase Tu voluntad en la tierra como en el cielo."

"QUIET" Nana yelled again "this must be a lot for you to take in but you'll have to deal with it! Whether you like it or not... now shall we eat?" She questioned smiling, Arturo took his chance and walked to her grabbing her arm as if she was a queen. They walked gracefully outside were the lunch was being held, the maids quickly made their way to the kitchen while the rest of the family stood in shock sat in the living room.

"What a badass" Diana said clapping her hands "You slay grandma! You're so cool"

"Slay!" Little Charlie laughed as he repeated the word

"Yha... grandma rocks!" Diana replied with a smile

"YHEA" the boy said happily "Slay Nana"

I laughed at his innocence, he was talking but he barely knew the meaning of that word yet he was the only one who couldn't care less about any of this, he was relaxed living in his own world and whatever the family was dramatazing about he really didn't want to know, his toys and legos were much more interesting.

I smiled looking at the boy then my eyes diverted outside to be big table where Nana was sat down with Arturo by her side. My smile grew and I grabbed Blaze's hand guiding him outside.

"Where are you going?" My mother asked me with an angry face, I suddenly realized she might be angry because we were holding hands but I guess she barely saw it. Like everyone she was still digesting the recent news.

"How can you leave and eat in a time like this?" Aunt Paloma asked me

"How are you taking this so well?" Uncle Joel questioned

"You knew didn't you?" Aunt Linda implied making everyone murmur again

I rolled my eyes and took a deep breath "What if I did? Honestly I'd none of your business. Nana is still your mother and our grandma, but now she is at least happy. What's the problem of that?"

"The problem? She is dating after her husband died-" My mother implied

"With a man who could be her son" Aunt Paloma finished

"Those aren't really prominent worries at all" I said shrugging my shoulders "I think you're just to be busy with other peoples lives instead of your own" I commented while they felt offended "Honestly if Nana is happy and its not harming anyone what is there the be worried about? Aren't you being quite of a pain in the ass? Nana is happy something she hasn't feel in a long time, as someone who loves her the least you could do is be happy for her and support her"

"I agree" Diana said getting up from the couch "rule is Love is Love. Nana is happy is all that matters"

"Thank you cousin" I smiled at her while she winked in reply

"She will finally have someone with her, someone to love and to nag" Julia commented getting up too and grabbing Charlie

"If you don't see all of this" I said while looking at the rest of big sofas "You're the problem" I pressed my lips together in a fake smile and dragged Blaze outside, the radiant sun made me close my eyes and smile and I received the vitamin c but my eyes opened as quickly as I heard a chuckle from my Blaze.

"What?" I questioned looking at his smiley face

"You were a real badass in there" he said pointing inside the house

I smiled "I kind of slayed"

"I'm really proud of my wife right now" he commented making my smile bigger

"Me too" Nana imposed appearing in front of us "Gracias mi amor" she thanked me and she kissed my cheek

"Thank you so much Eleonora! You made me the happiest man" Arturo confessed "thanks to you I'm next to this beautiful woman"

"Oh please..." Nana laughed while slapping his arm

"Its true" he laughed, their small bittering made me happy. It's so good to see grandma like this, it's weird only because I was used to see grandma next to her in these scenarios but I bet he is as happy as she is, realizing that he left here and she isn't alone anymore. She as someone to take care of her, hold her and giver her love.

That's enough for me, that's enough to keep me relaxed knowing she as someone now beside her.

"Let's eat" Nana proposed, we sat down and eventually the rest of the family inside joined us, we tried to know Arturo, he was a funny guy he knew a lot of jokes and he made sure to make us feel comfortable, he had this calm and passionate personality that made it quite difficult to not like him.

He was a good person and perfect match for my Nana, there were perfect opposites but at the same time they completed each other. I just hope they stay like that, happy, for a long time.
