After a crazy week, everything went according to the plan and I do have to say nothing of this would be possible without Blake. It's hard for me to say it but he was a big help. I was so focused on the party that I forgot what Christmas was really about and without wanting he somehow showed me what Christmas was all about seeing the big lights and the Christmas spirit of New York was actually what I really needed to make this all party work and I am happy I did.

"Chill out babe! Everyone loves this" Jennifer congratulated me " it's fantastic"

"You never told how you managed to work it all around" Miles noted "How did you do it?"

"Oh and don't say a Christmas miracle I will kill you" Jennifer warned

"It was no miracle" I answered

"What was it?"

"Or who was it?" Miles questioned intrigued

I shrugged my shoulders while hitting my lip to not smile

"No way..." Miles said realizing "Can he be more perfect?"

"Where can I get one of those?" Jennifer joked

"One? I want a tun" Miles cheered "I know what to ask for next Christmas"

"You have to be a good boy though" I reminded

"When am I not?" he answered back making us laugh

"Like all the time?!"Jen said grabbing his arm "C'mon let's give some space to the married couple" she said pushing him to the dance floor

"Looks like a party" Blaze said once he arrived near me

"Oh wow you arrived in time for your speech "  I joked

"Outstanding I know" he said with his hands on his pants pockets, he was wearing a black suit while his blazer was black with red patterns on it, it was a Dolce & Gabanna blazer, it was a nice solid choice and it suited him perfectly. "By the way it's our speech"

"What?" I questioned surprised

"You're my wife and you work here, you need to be by my side on the big Christmas stage" he smiled provoking me but I just laughed it out hoping he was kidding me

"Yeah no I don't think so" I said laughing

" well you don't really have a choice now" he said

"What do you mean?"

"I already said you were going" he shrugged his shoulders carelessly

"What do you-"

"Ladies and Gentleman, I hope you're having a wonderful night! I will just a ask a bit of your time to applause the best boss in the world... Mr.Blaze Maxwell who will now give us a nice speech alongside his beautiful wife. Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. And Mrs. Maxwell" the funny man, Benjamim announced making the whole room clap

"What?" I said but in the second after I was being dragged to the big stage "Blaze! Let go of me!" I whispered at him while smiling to everyone who clapped beside us

"Can't otherwise you will run"

"I don't want to give a speech"

"You just need to stand there by my side nothing much " he said while climbing the stairs to the stage

"I do not like this at all!"

"I know!" he said smiling at me and my misery "That's why it's funny"

"So funny" I commented while being pushed to the center of the big stage. Everyone clapped when our figures appeared into the big light. Blaze walked to the microphone with a soft smile and nods, as signal of thanking everyone.

"Thanks everyone, thank you" he said shutting the claps " first of all I want saving thank you to all of you who work here this year has been a great year and I thank you for your good work on this amazing year of the company we had some ups and we had some downs, but thankfully we're all here celebrating happily and with the Christmas spirit. I want to thank each one of you for being here and for being such a good workers. I know it's not easy to work in any department and in any position of this big company but you're doing it so I think you and I thank you for keeping my business alive, which is now our business, because the truth is without one of you, this wouldn't be possible so thank you" everyome clapped and whistle at him " I also must think to the woman who organised this party in without her. Nothing of this would be possible.She had a hard time building all of this, but she did it for you, so I want all of you to make a big round of applause to the woman next to me, the one who made at this wonderful Christmas party possible" I smiled in joy seeing everyone cheer at me, damn he was good at his speeches. " on this wonderful time of the year I wish you nothing but to be happy and with your family is a great joy that I congratulate you for a wonderful year and now you can finally have a rest day... please enjoy the party. Merry Christmas everyone".

Everyone cheered and clapped after the speech not going to lie, it was a good speech. I followed him as we left the big stage once downstairs people congratulate him and thanke him for his knows what, they hugged him and talked with him while I was being a lampshade, quietly standing in my place.

he said their goodbyes to people, and I watch them live from the party. I didn't realize that I was still following, and once I realized he was leaving the party frowned eyebrows at his behavior.

"Where are you going?" I asked

" Home. I have some things do do" he started as if it was a fact that I should know about, something so obvious

"It's the Christmas party" I defended

"And..."

"Of your company, you need to be here" I said trying to prove my point

"Actually I do not" he said carelessly

"You're the boss!"

"Exactly that's why I need to go" He started in an obvious tone... Am I being too dumb? I do not understand his point of view in this "This party is for my workers to relax, have a fun night and be themselves. Do you think that would be possible with their rigorous boss on the party too?" he explained, hm it actually makes sense but that means he passes this Christmas party alone wow he is so... Alone all the time.

"Do you do this every year?"

"Yes." he said walking away to the elevator

"So you're just going to give a speech and leave?"

"Pretty much, yes"

"Do you even celebrate Christmas?"

"Does that concerns you?" he said entering the elevator

"No...?" I said in almost a question

"Then why are you asking?"

"Because tomorrow you and I are going to have a Christmas lunch with my family"

"What?" he laughed while holding the elevator door, which I tried miserably to not look at how hot he was while leaning in the elevator

"We are going oh and Nana is going to" I advised

"I have things to do tomorrow "

"Yeah... Lunch with my family"

"I can't-"

"Nana is going what do you think it would look like if I went to a Christmas lunch without my own husband?"

"I don't really care" he said shrugging his shoulders

"You're going if you cherish your life and don't want Nana to kill you"

"You know what I might go"

"Yeah I though so"

"But just because I have someone who likes me in there" he said recalling Nana

"Yeah? See if you don't ruin that" I said with a raised eyebrow while crossing my arms

"impossible... She loves me" He smiled taking a step back and letting the doors of the elevator close while smiling and not taking his eyes off mine

I groaned in frustration once the doors closed I hated when he had that smug attitude on, I still can't believe how the hell Nana likes him. He is literally so Arhggggg... you know?

I tried to eliminate my husband for this night. I want to have fun and it's my Christmas party and I do deserve it so I took it off everything about him and I try to enjoy this moment and I am glad that I did. It was actually so fun to be with everyone from every department or fun to be with some of them did not like me because they thought I was like their boss, but once we did some shots and play ping-pong they found out that I was not like him people love the games that I chose and the playlist.

We're actually having a great time specially when we did this really fun game that I made for everyone which was 'who knew the boss the best' in turns out all of Connors knowledge for his boss paid off who won a whole cake and two free sushi meals. We had to answer some questions about blaze and turns out Connor did pretty well he got most part of it right there were simple questions and also funny ones that some people knew in Sunderland actually very fun to play, especially because of Blaze wasn't in there and we're all having fun and making fun of him.

Then the karaoke came, which was one of the funniest parts because everyone thought that I was fun to be around. They start giving me shots and Margaritas, and vodka and stuff I have no idea what it was.

there is also this guy Jeremy, who was actually pretty loud and find when he had a bit much of alcohol. At 2 am. He decided to be superman and take all of his clothes and was walking around just on his shorts in his boxers. Well I think that was almost like a thong. I still have that image really vivid in my mind which I really tried to erase it but it's being hard... Putting on the bright side Miles really loved it.

The party was fun at least the part of the party that I remember so yeah part of it because the other half I have no idea what happened.

-Blaze-

Christmas time was an exceptional time for business and made partnership with so many other companies find food clothes, shoes, bags and even wine. When it's Christmas time. All of this products rise their prices and make new collections which is great for us but also gives us a lot of work because has a percentage of the partnership. We also have to help in the marketing area and I do have to sign a lot of papers for them to produce certain products it's a complicated time but it pays off. Actually it pays a lot.

I was busy reading some list files that I had in hoping to finish them sooner so I could head home and do the rest at home although I do not recommend to work at home on this times, I feel more concentrated doing my work and my place.

Between signing and reading papers to verify everything was according to plan, I tried to organise it everything in my suitcase, so I could head home when I finish reading the last paper to sign, I was interrupted by loud clumsy knock on my door.

I look ahead without me asking to come in, an uncomposed figure appears in my door it was Connor, he had his shirt lose along with his tie, his face was red, and his eyes look heavier than the usual.

"Connor?" I asked in an unsure tone not really understanding what he was doing at my door especially without me giving the permission for him to come in.

"Hello boss! I am glad you are here I have a delivery" he said with his index finger extended while wondering it in the air.

"You do?" I asked while putting everything in my bag

"Ay! yes! Sir!" he exclaimed saluting me with his hand on his head, when he realized I was looking at him he quickly took his hand down "Weren't you leaving sir?"

"I was yes but I was just finishing some things" I got up placing everything to leave

"Well like always your etichal duties never miss sir! I love your enthusiasm by your work, you spent a whole night working and that is remarkable sir!" he exclaimed happily

"A whole night?"

"It's already five am sir! I do know that because I have a clock sir!" he raised his left hand showing me his watch, and I quickly took a look at mine

5:30... Shoot I have been here for 6 hours? That's insane, I should be home now.

"It's good your here, sir! You can take Mrs.Maxwell on your journey home"

"Mrs.Maxwell?" I questioned curious

"Yes sir! Sir yes! Your delivery!" he exclaimed pointing to his left. Curious hit me and I left my office, when I looked outside to my left in the waiting couches were two girls curled up together laughing.

"You better take her home sir!" he advised

"I will thank you Connor"

"I thank YOU sir" he said placing his hand over my shoulder "because of you I won two free sushi meals which I will spend with Jennifer if she decides to talk to me" he mumbled while showing me a paper, it was some sort of questionnaire with big words in red saying 'Who knows the boss best?'

"What is this?" I questioned taking the paper out of his hand

"the workers new favourite game sir! Mrs.Maxwell made sure to make us laugh"

"I see" I let out while scanning the paper "you guessed my shoe size" I said impressed making him throw a proud smile

"It's THE THE THE GRINCH" I heard from the couch, I looked over at them and the blonde woman caught my eyes quickly standing up

"Hello boss... " she said trying to contain her laugh " I just want to say- " she tried to speak between giggles "you're really handsome, that blazer looks really good on you. Please take care of my friend. She's so drunk" she said laughing and falling into my chest "I told her to not drink that shot but she did anyways" she the hugged me right leaving me uncomfortable while touching my bicep and squeezing " oh wow..." she said impressed and looked over at Eleonora "Wow that's - lucky you"

"Hm" I cleaned my throat caught ing her attention making her quickly let go of my arm

"I'm sorry sir..." she apologized while bowing her head but gving a thumbs up to Eleonora, making her laugh.

I looked over at her and she instantly stopped laughing.

"We should go" Connor said grabbing Jennifer's arm

"I agree!" they walked out down the hall "TO THE PARTY WE GOO" while cheering through the office

I placed my hand in my pants and looked at Eleonora laying on the couch "Did you had fun?"

"I did... Shane you couldn't be there" she giggled

"Yeah... A pity" I turned back to the office dressing my coat and placing my suitcase, under the desk, I will pick this up tomorrow.

"Are you going to work more?" she asked frustrated

"Maybe" I responded leaving the office, she was already on our feet ready to walk in the office "Miss me already?" I smirked

"You are more annoying when I am drunk" she rolled her eyes while walking to the elevator
