-Eleonora-
October arrived quite fast, a rainy and stormy October. After that day, that Martha and Sarah barged in the house we haven't heard from them. Not that we usually did. Things were normal... I guess I can say that?! Somehow I felt like me and Blaze bad found a way to tolerate each other. He was still the same maniac over work like always but somehow he was comprehensive.
I was at my place facetiming my friends while making dinner. We were trying to understand Jennifer's dilemma with Connor.
"So you kissed?" Miles questioned not really getting Jennifer's
"No" she exhaled frustrated
"What happened exactly then?" I asked while stirring the vegetables in the pan
"I remember it vaguely it was like... months ago" she said carelessly. I laughed to myself at her expression, when Jennifer tried to show that she didn't care for things she actually cared a lot for them.
"Hm hm" Miles hummed not convinced
"Tell us the story after you got out of my house" I asked her while stirring the pasta
"Ok... So..." she started with some difficulties "we went to my house and I asked him if he wanted to come up-"
"Oh no" Miles commented
"He said yes ok? I didn't force him or anything" She defended herself "We walked upstairs to my apartment and I served dome wine, turned on the music-"
"Girl- seriously?!" Miles comented her behaviour, Jenny always had the same 'preparation' for every man she would take home, and it seems like Connor wasn't any different
"We talked and talked and then somehow in the mystic of the environment he came closer and I did too and..."
"And..." I helped her carry on
"You had sex didn't you?"Miles questioned straightforwardly
"No... We were about to kiss and he simply-" she looked palid and not even looking at the phone...
"He simply?" Miles questioned
"He simply went away. I got no texts, no calls after but for some reason he greets me whenever he sees me at work" she explained sadly. Jenny was really touched by Connor I think I've known that for a long time, she was a bit down after that sort of that. Till this day she never mentioned Connor, this was the first time she was telling us what happened.
Jennifer was a very sweet girl who just wanted to be loved. She loved her boyfriend more than everything, I remember knowing every detail to her wedding because all she could do was talk about it, they weren't engaged but something at time told her that they were going to be the end game. It didn't turn out as she hoped.
Jennifer gave him everything she could. They were high school sweethearts, she always would brag about their love story and how it was fated love. He was a nice guy honestly back in high school then when real-life problems happen he just simply couldn't get a grip. While Jennifer was studying in college, we would stick in her apartment, supposedly to work for future work...
I remember her telling me he found a few jobs but they never lasted to long. He started to live on her house and she would basically raised him as if he was her own child. He would just sit around and do anything that whole day, Miles and I tried to convince her that was wrong and she needed to step up and say something or simply kick him out, however she claimed us it was just a phase.
Eventually it was a long phase of 8 months, he found a job in a bar and started to earn a lot of money, he never really explained her correctly what the he did but she didn't cared either because he was making some and helping. She thought he would help instead he just bought himself a house, she would come over to make him food and clean ooh, and be with him sometimes I guess.
This bar job was were the cheating started, we found some bras that didn't being to her. They had a huge fight she came back to Miles's house crying, I went there on that day and we slept with her and stayed with her the whole day. She was a pure mess, I absolutely hated to see her like that yet I couldn't do anything because she begged me not to.
Some weeks later, Miles and I, found out she got back with him. We weren't ok with that situation at all and we tried to explain but Jennifer was so blindly in love with that guy that she started to feel desperate for him and his attention.
She told us he was sorry and all that but it didn't last long because around 5 months later she found we was having another relationship with other girl.
That guy was cheating twice and at the same time. We tried to woke her up and took her out of that misery. It was hard, she got in a depression after breaking up with him, and sometimes without us knowing she would just sneak off to meet him.
He was like her drug that eventually she needed to taper...It was a hard time for her but she managed to get out of it by enjoying company with other males. A few of them wanted to go one a date or two but Jennifer would cancel everything, she had completely shut love out of her life. So when she would meet a man was just for...fun and nothing more serious than that. The fear of falling in love are her alive bit by bit, concerned everything would happen over again.
"Maybe he wants to talk to you but doesn't know how" I explained " Connor isn't very good at expressing himself"
"It doesn't matter, if he refused me it's fine, it's his lost" she mentioned while covering her pout. Being rejected by Connor was slowly disturbing her, she was a pretty young woman, men adored her and that was the last thing she would hang on to. To her prettiness and men longing for her.
"Shame on him. He lost something every men die for" Miles cheered her up. I downed at myself thinking back at that night. Connor looked like a puppy in love when he saw her, and every time he would pass by her on work. I couldn't believe he didn't like her that had to be something else.
"It's hard for me to believe that he doesn't want any thing with you. He just sucks at communication" I defended Connor " He looks so in love everytime he sees you"
"In love,my ass! He could've texted or call then" she said angrily
"Maybe he wants to approach you differently" Miles commented
"Yeah. Maybe he doesn't want to ask you out by a text but face to face. And everytime he tries his bad social skills come up" I suggested
"He does get all shy and chokes up on your name when seeing you" Miles agreed
"Dont get me convinced let's just accept... I am not his type" She sulked
"Your everybody's type" Miles commented "I would die to have a chance with you if I played on the other team" Miles joked making her give a small giggle
"Maybe you should help him.communicate like you did when you guys were here" I implied
"I would like to know why doesn't he like me. No one never not liked me" she said with bliky eyes meaning that tears were start to form
"Then, that's exactly what you are going to do !" I exclaimed carching her attention "Nect time push him to the Connor and just take it all out. Ask him what the hell is wrong with him. Tell him to speak and explain his actions. Why didn't he do it? Why didn't he kissed you? "I convinced her "If you don't question him, that will stick to your mind forever and maybe when you finally get the courage to ask it's too late. So just do it now, with or without courage. Just do it"
"Fine I will" she rolled her eyes with a smile and cleaning the corner of her eyes
"That's my girl!" Miles clapped. I smiled at their behavior while pouring the pasta on my plate
"What happened to you no maid and no husband ?" Miles questioned me
"Blaze went to work till late like always, since I was alone I too Dorothy to take the day off " I explained him
"He works a lot, shouldn't he be home? loving you?" he asked gggling
"He has a lot to do I guess" I answered while eating the pasta
"Do you trust him that much?" Jenny asked, I shrug my shoulders
"I guess. We are married aren't we?"
"I wish to some day have that trust on a man" she let out
"Does he trust you? When you go out and stuff or is he like a quiz man? He wants to know every detail of where you going, who you're going with, what time are you arriving?" Miles questioned curiously
"I simply say where I am going and that's it" I simply answered, it wasn't a lie. Sometimes I wouldn't even say where I was going I don't think he cared that much.
"Where the hell did you found him?" Miles asked stunned
"Did your grandma liked him?" Jennifer asked with a smirk
"In fact... She loved him" I said with a bit of hatefulness on my tone
"You're not being sarcastic right?" Miles questioned
"Nope. My grandma really liked him. It was like she hated him the whole day and then at the end she was a fan of him" I told them seeing their shocked faces
"Your grandma doesn't even like me and likes him?" Jennifer said shocked
"She doesn't like you because you'd put Eleonora in detention " Miles explained defending my grandma. Abuela was a big fan of Miles, she said he had a sense of style like no one else she ever met not to mention his pre soul. Her words not mine. She never saw him in a strip club.
"Ok true but still... That's big! Grams Ester never liked Eleonora's boyfriends" she commented making me nod.
"It's true" I shrug my shoulders. Thinking of how did he managed to enchant my adoring grandmother.
"How does it feel to have the perfect husband?" Miles questioned making Jennifer agreed.
"He is so perfect I can't. I can't find a single flaw in him" Jennifer mentioned. My attention advertised from the phone to a big stumble on the wooden floor that's when my eyes catch an unimaginable situation.
A man with an bullet proof vest with the yellow FBI letterssampled on it and a drenched Blaze entered the house.
"You're Eleonora right?"the man questioned while carrying Blaze with his right arm while his left held on to Blaze's hand which was around the FBI man's neck.
"Yes." I said still in the same place a but shocked by that vision. Blaze was totally drenched in water and he seemed weird, his posture wasn't perfectly straight like always, his weight was towards the men who carried him while Blazed looked like a dead wight on the man's arm.
"Pleasure to meet you! I am a friend of your husband and...I might need your help!" He implied while moving Blaze's hand upwards. Coming out front that trance but still in shock I ended the call with my friends.
"I'm sorry guys I have to go. I'll text you" I said quickly ending the call and rushing near them two
"I got you a delivery" the man joked shaking Blaze. I finally took a look at his face, his eyes were shut but he was still able to give a sly smile at the man's word.
"Whatte hell happened?" I questioned them.
"I can't answer what I don't know. What I know is that he called me, he sounded very weird so I tracked his phone and I found him sat on swing of a kids playground drenched in the rain and with a bottle on his hand" the man explained I frowned at his explanations, trying to connect the dots on to why was he there and doing what. "He needs to rest" he advised
I nodded " I'll help you take him upstairs"
"I can take him it's better if you lead the way and open the doors in the way there" he suggested, I nodded walking upstairs while carefully seeing if they needed any help
I guided them to Blaze's room and asked the man to sit him on the grey couch at the end of the bed. He sat Blaze down making Blaze fall to the side ready to fall asleep.
"Can you take care of this?" he questioned shaking Blaze to wake up
"I have to" I took a deep breath
"C'mon buddy! Get up you need to change clothes " the man informed Blaze, he didn't move only half opened his eyes
"I'm home?" he questioned
"You are"
"Have you met her?" Blaze asked making the man look at me with a smile while I raised an eyebrow
"I did buddy! She is all you said"
The man smiled making me confused, Blaze talked go this man about me? Were they really friends?
I laughed to myself at that thought. Blaze having friends? Impossible
"Loud and annoying" Blaze replied with a smirk
"Wow!" I exclaimed, the man laughed while Blaze gave small giggles
"I should go. Take care of him" he started looking at Blaze
"I will try" I said angrily looking at his miserable figure "I will accompany you to the door"
"It's fine! Stay here it's better. I will write my phone number down and if anything you can call me." he said taking a pen and a small notebook out of a pocket on his shirt under his vest.
"Thank you so much-" I said ready to shake his hands while he placed the paper over a chest of drawers
"Lou Harris" he said shaking my hand
"Thabk you Lou"
"It's a shame we weren't introduced correctly. " he joked
"Yeah! Thanks for everything Lou" I smiled at the kind man
He left the room and took a final look at me "Take care of him. I'm sure I will see you some other time" he waved at me while walking and leaving on the elevator. I took a deep breath and walked again on the room finding a sleepy drenched Blaze soaking the grey couch in water.
Oh God... There it goes the perfect husband title I guess... To perfect husband to perfectly drunk.
