-Blaze -

I gave a tired sigh while Connor kept talking about the case of the Bourbon Wine their name would be officially disconnected to ours in mere months and I still am unsure on what to do about it.

"Mr. Brocotta hasn't gave any explanations on his departure. I kept sending emails like you said, sir, but it's the same reply over and over again"    Connor notified me as I watched the elevator floor sign change.

"I will get every single document and records that have the minimum who has the slightest relationship with Bourbon" I said, the elevator rang telling I had reached home. The doors opened and an appetizing scent invaded the small place, I stepped in taking my shoes and leaving them aside I put my blue slippers on and took a look at the kitchen, I saw Eleonora and Dorothy laughing while making dinner. I may have stayed too long looking at them because she caught my eyes.

"You're home" she noted, Dorothy quickly looked in my way waving her hand

"Good evening sir! How was your day?" Dorothy asked

"It was fine Mr.Davis thanks for asking" I said, I looked at Connor again standing in front of the elevator

"I will come back shortly stay there so I can give you those papers Ijust mentioned" he nodded in agreement and I quicklywalked to the hallway to get in my office

"I did told you Miss... He always says It was a fine day. Never changes" Dorothy whispered

"Well he is good at his job we have to give him that" said decorating the Banana Slip

She gave a frustrated sigh while she was mixing the spaghetti "His days are so monotone that it saddens me"

"I guess his work is like that" I defended him though I could see Dorothy was really worried about his work life

"Since you married him it's the first time that I am seeing some change around this house" she comented making me laugh

"It's good to know that I changed something"

"You did believe me Miss. I wouldn't have imagined making food for more than one person in this house"  she said while giggling, we were being a bit too loud and I shushed her while laughing we both took a look at the confused Connor near the elevator

"We need to be quiet we are scaring the boy" Dorothy said

"He isn't that easy to scare, he is very well trained" I mentioned she gave me a weird look not really understanding what I said

"I don't know about that but he is indeed a cute boy"  I looked at him after her commented and I tilted my head analyzing him, he was actually cute. He was a tall brunette with round glasses, his face was sharp and he had a detailed jawline not much detailed as Blaze's but he had something there, his eyes were a dark blue and his lips were thin, but in general everything in his face matched. I raised an eyebrow in realization, Connor is attractive.

"He is attractive" I realized making Dorothy nod

"It's a shame he is always so caught up with work! If he continues like that he will end up alone, like I taught Mr.Maxwell would end but thank heavens you appeared Miss" she declared giving me a quick side hug

"He surely lacks social skills too," I said to myself "do you think he is single?" I asked Dorothy

"Mostly certainly yes, Miss. He is always working, and Mr.Maxwell isn't easy on him since he is the only one he relies on and trusts." she explained

I smiled when a perfect idea reached my mind. I rapidly walked to Connor making him surprised.

"Hello Connor"

"Hello Mrs. Maxwell" he greeted politely

"Are you single?" i asked directly, his face turned a light red color and he gulped while fixing his glasses

"I- hum- Why are you interested in my personal life Mrs. Maxwell?" he said nit daring to look in my eyes

"I think you work to much and you may be forgetting about coexisting with other humans. I don't blame you though, you got an excellent teacher" I explained mentioning Blaze, he made a sudden frown not getting my point

"Do you have plans for tonight?" I asked

"I need go search for possible files that may be an interest to the Bourbon case" which meant he is working the whole weekend, I gave a frustrated sigh. Blaze could live the life he wanted, if he wanted to be focused on work, great for him but making his employees work as much as him it's not admissible. He needs to care for his employees well being and that it's also their personal lives. A boss needs to be sure that his employee his ok mentally and physically, that will only be profiting to the company.

"You're staying over for Trivia" I declared he was even more confused now " you need a time out to breath and not think about work. We will have trivia night today, you can stick around with us"

"Trivia?"

"Did you read my terms and conditions?" I asked curious since he had verified Blaze's terms he could've have seen mine, we made a copy of both of each other conditions. I though Connor had seen it since he knows everything that Blazes does.

"No. I only made sure Mr.Maxwell Terms were correc made a double checking only but I kept in mind  everything" he said in victory

"Another reason for staying here at this fun trivia night, we will play and eat...come" I grabbed his hand and walked him to the couch " sit here and relax I will bring you a drink" I pointed to the couch he was a bit unsure so I forced his shoulders down making him sit

"Mrs.Maxwell I can't be -" he was about to say but I hushed him gesturing my finger up

"Eleonora please, from now on we are hanging out as friends. We are not at work, we are friends that will have a fun night, so relax Connor" I said, he sat back a bit unsure of my words but he didn't said anything more "take your coat I will hang it" he took of his coat and handed it to me still visibly uncomfortable about the situation.

I hanged his coat "Is there food for one more Dorothy?" I asked through the living room rising my voice a bit high so she could hear me

"Of course there is Miss Ella" I smiled at her answer and watched Blaze hurriedly walking to the elevator, he stopped shocked when he realized his assistant was sat at his couch

"What happened?" he questioned looking at Connor and then me, Connor on the other side when he heard his voice he quickly got up

"Connor will stay for trivia night" I informed walking to the kitchen again, he followed me with papers on his hand

"He is my assistant, he is sitting on my couch! This is not ethical... At all" he whispered with wide eyes, I noticed he was trying a lot to calm himself

"It's past 6. Work hours for today are over. So he isn't your assistant but a friend who has a lot of patience to put up with you daily. So take a deep breath and be nice" he took his free hands to his temple rubbing it firmly

"This is way out of everything that was supposed to happen today"

"It is a small unforeseen"

"Small? We were supposed to be only two tonight then you told me you're friend was coming over and now Connor is staying too?" he asked pointing at him, his back were facing us he was sitting straight at the couch as if he was ready to leave any moment

"Are you that desperate to be only with me?" I smirked "We will have 35 trivia nights to do that relax" I walked to the kitchen looking for a glass in the cabinets

He rolled his eyes in annoyance, I knew what he meant, because I noticed how uncomfortable these social kind of events that don't involve work makes him feel. Like our 'hangouts' before we married, he lacks so much social skills that he can't have a simple talk, looking at the bright side this will help him.

"I am not having a trivia game with my assistant" he said with death glares while I took a cup out

" you are and you're making him a whiskey" I said giving him the glass with a smile on, he took the glass giving up on our argument.

I watched him place the papers on the side table near the couch, he walked again to the kitchen and started the drink.

Shortly after Jennifer arrived and I went to greeted, I helped took of her coat while she kept adorating the interior design, which Blaze still hasn't changed. She analyzed the place well commenting how lucky and then she was depared with Connor on the couch "Who is that?"

"Connor. He is Blaze assistant bit tonight he is just Connor" I explained she looked at me shocked

"His assistant? Are you insane?" she commented while slapping my arm
"You did not set us up"

I raised my hands in innocence " I didn't set you up he is just a friend of Blaze"

"You set me up with your husband's friend?" she asked again in shock

"I didn't... I mean only if you want to" she slapped me again "ouch"

"I can't be paired up with him"

"Why? He is absolutely normal I promise..." I took a look at him "I think" I corrected myself

"He is cute" she said

" I know, just be normal it's a trivia night " I reassured her

"Are you sure?" she asked looking at me

"Yeah! Plus I'll be right here if you need anything" she nodded with a smile and I guided her to Connor introducing them to each other

"Connor, " I said calling his attention he quickly looked at the blonde girl next to me and stood up "this is my best friend Jennifer"

"Jennifer this is Connor" Connor raised his hand so Jennifer could shake it, I mentally cursed Connor for his professional behavior. He seemed like a programmed machine just like his boss, although lately, I appeared to have more effect on him, making him show emotions all negative but still emotions.

They laughed awkwardly and I sat Jennifer on the couch, near the center table was the trivia game already waiting for us. I was waiting for Dorothy to finish up the spaghetti so I could placed it near the game, the center table was big enough for all that.

I looked at the kitchen and saw Blaze pouring wine in some glasses, I noticed his suit that didnt seem right I walked over to him

"Go change" I whispered so Dorothy wouldn't hear she was now cleaning some dishes

"Why?"

"Will you stay in that uncomfortable suit while you're at home?" I asked, looking at the blue suit.

"It is comfortable to me" he said looking down at his suit

"It isn't homey..."

"Homey?" he repetwad with a questionable look

"Yes, you know it feels like you're not at home"

"You are so complicated" he commented while putting the cork on the bottle

"Go change" I demanded, he rolled his eyes and walked off pitting the bottle and the glasses on the center table, he greeted Jennifer too, they were presented to each other on the wedding day but that didn't made him more comfortable about it, good thing Jennifer is extroverted she made Connor talk and Blaze greet her more normally.

He walked upstairs probably to change clothes like I told him to. "Miss Ella" I heard Dorothy "everything is prepared"

"Thank you so much Dorothy"

"I thank you! You're putting some sense into that boy's head" she commented placing the pot lid over the spaghetti "Have a wonderful night dear" she grabbed my face giving me a kissing "say my goodbyes to Mr.Maxwell"

I nooded at her request, she said their goodbyes to Jenifer and Conor whole waving her hand she dresses her coat, grabbed her bag and got to the elevator.

"C'mon Ella let's play trivia" Jenifer said caughting my attention "We can team up"

"Girls versus boys" i suggested ehich they nodded. I grabbed the food and smiled to myself... Let's play some trivia.
