Woke up tired, maybe from that Cordova party on Friday night. I was now in my room it was Monday morning and it was time to get ready to work, that thought relieved me that I finally had a routine. I got up from bed and made my skin routine and put on very light makeup, some blush, mascara, and my YSL red lipstick. I dressed in pink pants a black satin top and a matching pink coat I grabbed the black hells and walked downstairs with my fluffy slippers on.

I was greeted by Dorothy placing the breakfast on the dining table, I greeted her with a kiss on the cheek and looked happily at the food. She made pancakes... this will be a good day. I sat down on the chair and grabbed the melted chocolate she had made, I poured it into my pancakes while smelling that sweet chocolate aroma.

Blaze loudly walked down the stairs admired by my presence in the kitchen he frowned and greeted Dorothy "Good Morning Miss Davis" he said sitting down in at the top of the table I was on his left side looking at his funny sleepy face.

"You're early" he commented grabbing the plate of scrambled eggs

"I have work to do" I informed him while he grabbed that disgusting green juice jug, just the look of it made me want to vomit and the smell, I am not even explaining that smell

"A busy day?" he said with a soft smirk on

"You know how it is" I smirked back not really liking his smug attitude, Friday was definitely a weird night, not a night just minutes of that night, seeing him smile was out of the regular but the second after he came back to his normal self saying stupid things and always nagging. I got up with my plate and glass in hand and place them on the sink.

I said my goodbyes and met Connor near the elevator "Good morning Connor"

"Miss Maxwell" he said nodding his head politely

"boys" I greeted the bodyguards

"Miss Maxwell" They replied

Not too long after I reached my workplace greeting my favorite receptionist "Good morning"

"Good morning babe how is my boss?" he asked all sassy

"Pretty well, how are things around here?" I questioned Miles

"Pretty good everyone got on time, everyone is working happily after knowing you're our definitive chief" I smiled at his words, I didn't had much employees in the small little marketing company of mine only 30 counting with me but I couldn't be happier knowing they sounded somewhat relieved by my new position. "Everyone is on time besides the usual"

I shook my head not disappointed by that, I walked to my office and he followed me " Jennifer" he nodded in agreement

"Thanks"

"Do you need anything?" he said while waiting at the door, I walked in the office opening the blinds making the sun warm the room

"No, I'm fine thank you babe" I said with a smile, he gave me a wink and closed the office door

I scanned my office, finally it looked a bit more like me. It was not that plain blue boring office that I found a week ago. It had colorful pillows and some paintings my desk was organized, it was very simplistic but pleasing to the eye, in tones of light wood and white and of course some plants, the little bonsai that I brought from my parent's house. A purple chaise lounge near the wall and a glass center with two small couches one beige and other pink.

I sat down on the comfortable chair and grabbed some documents, I had to analyze old documents not that old but I was afraid I left something behind important, when that whole thing of marriage came up I might leave something behind that I can't remember or simply didn't see. The truth is I didn't precisely give people a heads up that our small business was joining Maxwell's Inc., even though I didn't know it was all so confusing and disorganized at the time, but at least I was able to keep the business alive.

"Hey boss!" someone said barging into my office scaring me

"Jeez, Jennifer! Give me some sort of heads up before scaring the shit out of me" I said with hand in my chest trying to calm my heart

"Sorry!" she sat down on the beige couch in front of me I analyzed her carefully her behavior was out of the usual her legs were shaking and she kept watching her nails...she is hiding something, I looked at her clothes they looked all messed up like they weren't ironed and that isn't very Jennifer of her. Then I noticed that the blouse and that skirt were the same from Friday, something is going on.

"Why are you wearing clothes from Friday?" I asked her, she looked at me surprised and touched her blouse

"This? I just like a lot this fit"

"You spent the weekend out didn't you?" Her head bowed down, she was trying to hide her face the best she could

"No..."

"Jennifer..." I closed my laptop now interested in my best friend's strange behavior

"Fine, I did"  she said biting her lip, that wasn't all, something was there and I could she was torn between telling me.

"With who?"

"Someguy I met" she quickly stood up stretching her head " I will go now. I have a lot to do" her manners were sending me alarms of how 'not fine' she wasn't, she was trying to hide who spent the weekend with her, why would she hide that from me unless it's someone I don't like and totally despise-

"You didn't !" I warned her, though the stupidity was already made. She stopped in her tracks and her head fall back in defeat

"I'm sorry"

"I'm calling Miles" I said while clicking in a button of my phone that directly connected to reception

"Yes babe?"

"Come here" I simply said while looking at my best friend wanting to choke her

"I can't believe you Jen! We have been here before. How many times do I have to tell you to not fuck your ex?" I said angrily, she pouted at my reaction and words. I couldn't be calm at this girl right now, that man broke her heart several times by cheating on her they were an on-and-off thing, then she finally got the courage to end things up but she always goes back to the I'm a mistake.

"I'm sorry" she said pouting

"Sit! We are having this conversation now" she did as I ordered sitting in the couch, a pout on her face and constantly picking her nails.

"You called your favorite gay?" Miles said opening the door he looked at my angry face and then to Jennifer sat at the couch. He analyzed the set and crossed his arms "The hell you didn't"

"But she did" I informed walking to the front of my desk resting my weight on it

"Everybody knows exes are leftovers, I can't believe you keep on eating your own leftovers girl! That's low even for you" Miles comented

"I'm sorry ok? I just can't resist it" she tried to explain "He keeps on texting me and sending me stuff" she said with wide eyes

"He conquered you with sexting and nudes?" I asked she looked down not saying anything, I considered that as a yes

"Girl this needs to stop it's like the third time you eat your own leftovers. We don't do that! That needs to stop like right now" Miles demanded while sitting next to her

"Seventh" she corrected Miles and I saw him facepalming himself

"You need to move on. That guy has played with you like you were his fricking doll" I too her joining them in the couch

She grabbed my hand and then Miles "Thank you guys"

"Give me your phone" I said extending my hand, she pouted again but ended up giving in, she placed her phone over my hand. I quickly went to her contacts to block this disgusting bitch.

"No..." she said looking at what I was doing.

"Yes..."Miles said "Look once I read this somewhere and now I can finally apply it. You need to think that he is your ex that means you need to thank him for experience, but fortunately your time has expired! Just make him exit your life" I nodded in agreement

"Although he looks like a goddamn model and knows perfectly well what I like and how I like it... I have moved on this is just for fun"

"This is not for fun Jenny! Might be for him but you still love him" I explained

"I swear guys I have moved on" she said looking at us two

"You can't move on to the next chapter on your life if you keep re-reading the same one"  I stated, her head rested on Miles shoulder

"More like re-doing" Miles said not amused by this conversation at all just like me

"But-" she started

"No but's you need some distraction someone patient enough who will help move on" Miles said

"Fine. I think I need some besties therapy" she said trying to amuse us

"You need real therapy" I mentioned "what are you doing this weekend?"

She rolled her eyes "I will just watch movies this weekend ok? Calm down"

"You're staying at mine's" I informed

"You're married I don't want to introduce in your weekend" right I forgot I have a annoying walking brat around the house

"Ok then we will have movies at Miles" I said pointing at him

"I'm staying at my parent's this weekend, I'm sorry. But this is important she can't be alone. Maybe a blind date" Miles suggested making me nod at the idea

"I'm not going on those, maybe a party" she smiled at the thought

"No" Miles and I said at the same time

"So you can expand the one night stands list? To get back at your regular after? No Jennifer, no!" I rapidly justified making her growl in annoyance

I got up walking to my desk, I needed to check my agenda, do I have anything for this weekend? I need to be sure to take care of Jenny.

"I would say to go on Tinder, but I'm sure you'd keep on those flings" Miles recalled

"Flings is good makes me forget" she defended herself

"It is not good, hun. It makes you just crawl to that guy again" Miles explained, I examined the agenda shit- I forgot about this. I have trivia night and I'm not bailing nor is he, it's a way to take him out of his control zone making me more able to study him, to investigate how he works, how he truly is when he isn't always incontrol, maybe I can joining them?!

"Uhm Blaze and I have a trivia night kind of thing once in a while, do you want to join?" I asked her, Jeniffer her light up and a smile was brought to her face

"I can?" She smiled

"If you want to, I know you like trivia. I will ask Dorothy to make Banana Split" I suggested

Her eyes grew bigger "Yes yes! thank you so much you're the best!" she got up from the couch giving little jumps of joy

I laughed at her excitement and so did Miles "This time with us will be like a break from Nick" I commented

"Next weekend you'll go over my place" Miles said side hugging her

"Thank you guys! You're the best" she smiled

"Now focus on work only please!" they both laughed and headed out of my office. I bit my lip thinking about the trivia night will he give in so easily? It is on the contract and he respects those things but I am very unsure if he will simply accept it lightly, I think he may have forgotten or maybe he wanted to pretend that he had.

This thought won't leave my mind till I make sure he is going to appear in trivia night plus I just invited my best friend and told her it was a thing of ours... I can't let him make me trough such embarrassment.

I bit my lip in agony and after some time deciding I grabbed my phone I opened the contact list and looked at the name 'Control Freak' I tapped on it and looked at the typing message box

We never talked over the phone, I never needed it really... Or did he. I don't even know if he has my contact though I'm pretty sure that he had both placed it on our contract papers. Did he pay any attention to it? He sure is a controlled and organized person I'm sure he did saw it but-

Did he saved my contact? Well I guess I need to test that out
