Elleonora's PoV:

"I don't understand how could this have happened. You guys were perfect" Miles said while playing with the pillows

"True you guys seem to be taken out of a fairy tale" Jenny agreed

"Every day you looked happy and playful, I remember every morning after she would leave the elevator he would pull her into a kiss it was so sweet" Miles squealed, that made me feel like crying but my eyes were already dry, I couldn't cry anymore even if I wanted to.

" How can someone simply stop loving you anymore? That's impossible" Jenny asked

"True! Maybe something happened Ellie!" Miles exclaimed

"He can't simply be out of love. You guys were like love at first sight! You went to just a few dates and you BAM!" Jenny mentioned

"In my humble opinion I thought it was to fast and you weren't being rational but after seeing you guys together my worries were washed away" Miles commented

"Not to mention the weeding! Which was so sure and big—" Jenny spoke but I couldn't help but interrupt her, this was it I had to finally tell them

"And a lie"

"What do you mean?" they both asked looking at me

"I am sorry but I need to tell you this" I said biting my lip and correcting my posture so I could look at them "At first wasn't real..."

"WHAT?"

"Well I don't even know if at the end it was..."

"You are scaring me" Miles spoke

"What really happened Eleonor?" Jenny questioned

" It was a contract"

"WHAT?" they both shouted quickly sitting up correctly at the end of my bed while I rested my back into the bed headboard

"Our marriage was a lie it was all a contract because he wanted my father's company"

"But you guys looked so-"

"In love? Yeah at first I was a great actress but with time... I don't know something happened and god this is so stupid- I am sorry for not telling you, but I couldn't this all illegal and now I dn't even know what is happening"

"It's ok" Miles said calmly hugging me, I looked at Jenny's sad face probably disappointed in me but then her eyes lifted up and she hugged me tightly

"Tell us everything"she muttered, so I took a deep breath and I let everything out

"I had no choice, he would either take all of my company or my family would be homeless - "

"Jesus! Was he always this -" Miles tried to question

"Asshole!" Jennifer interrupted making me chuckle

"Yeah at first he was an arrogant pain in the ass, but as the time passed I got to know him and I thought he was knowing me too and liking me like I liked him but I was very wrong. I fell onto his lies, I though that we liked each other but he was done of being someone he wasn't he went back to being his emotionless stupid self and broke my heart saying he couldn't take more one minute being that loving version of someone he was not, so he asked for a divorce. "

"What a son of a bitch" Jenny said disappointed

"WHAT A FUCKING CUNT!" Miles shouted in disbelief "Alright where is he... I will grab Francesco he has good muscles and we will beat the shit out of him"

My lips curved in a small smile, an appreciation smile "I rather not, I can't see his face ever again" I looked at my hand which held the necklace "I don't even know if the divorce can be done, since it was suppose to be three years into the marriage but he was just so sick that he couldn't handle anymore time with me-" I said finally letting the tears run down my face as the last words left my mouth

"Okay I don't want to hear another word about that man ever again!" Jenny ordered "he is dead to us, right Milles?"

"Correct, my captain. " Miles agreed playfully trying to distract me

"Ellie, you are going to forget that manand you are going to get up from this bed walk out of this house and live your life to the fullest not like you did before but better because you are the most intelligent, beautiful and powerful woman I have ever seen and it's not a man that is going to bring you down -'

"- But"I tried to interrupted but she didn't let me

"Even if he was your first real love . You will get up and live your life better than before and you will show him that if anything... he was the one who lost not you, HIM"

"Exactly! How dares he, make you cry when he is the one who should be crying drool and snot and begging at your feet for you to come back" Miles encouraged "Ellie! You are a strong woman, I idolize you every day, you are this young and you started a successful marketing company on your own, you paid your father every cent that he had helped you on, you married a hot man and managed to turn his work upside down in a way that he did not know who he was anymore, you married one of the richest man unwillingly and yet you managed to work on his corporation and help him raise the total net profit of his own company. You are such a badass, and if anything he is the one who lost... because he will never find someone as amazing as you"Miles finished and now the tears rushed down not only my face but also from my friends, I couldn't help but to hug them the tightest I could.

They were amazing, instead of being angry at me, because I hid something from them, they were supporting me and helping me rise from this bed of sorrow and sadness that I was laid on for the past two weeks.

"You're right"I said sniffing and cleaning my tears "But I don't know if i can just  yet..."

"What do you mean? "Miles questioned while I took a sharp breath

"I already signed the divorce papers last week and this Sunday we have the meeting in the civil register office so we can end this"

"Damn... he sure is fast" Miles commented

"It doesn't surprise me, he knows a lot f people"

"Wait- That is why Connor has been constantly reading law books" Jenny realized

"I don't want to go"

"NO!!"Jenny shouted getting up quickly scaring me and Miles "You are going! This is the perfect opportunity to splash in his face of how amazing you are"

"I do not feel amazing!"

"Then act!" Jenny exclaimed walking into my closet "You need a nice outfit, no a perfect outfit, something sexy and formal something that screams YOUR LOSS"

"And a black high heels for empowerment to match that" Miles suggested

"exactly! "

"Guys, I feel like I am sick all the time, I can't go plus I can't just look at him. I look awful, plus the moment I look at him I will ball my eyes out"

"LISTEN" Jennifer shouted holding my face with both hands " I will not let him win this! You better show him how fucking hot, beautiful, intelligent and perfect you are, he is going to suffer little by little... You better focus on looking good and train to talk to him in an emotionless way pay him no attention, give him the same medicine and we will take care of the rest"

"We will? " Miles questioned her while she nodded a yes with her head accompanied by a mischievous smile

She clapped her hand quickly smiling "Now let's go to the mall!"

- Sunday -

"I am not sure if I am ready" I said as Jenny gave some final touches on my dark red lipstick

"Just remember what we trained, do exactly the same he does to you, speak in his careless way and robotic tone as if he doesn't matter to you" Jenny recalled me

"If you feel like you can't take it just put on the glasses or run to the bathroom, I will be outside" Miles pointed it out while driving

"And I will be next to you" A  manly voice from the front of car said next to Miles

"I didn't know you were a lawyer" I responded

"I am many things, I had a lot of time to study plus if it's to face Blaze like this I couldn't miss this opportunity"

"What do you mean?" I asked Austin

"Blaze is jealous of me, so I can say I am a pretty good trump card on your deck today" Austin mentioned, I frowned at his words. I thought they were friends and now he wants to make Blaze jealous... and what's the point when Blaze is so decided and convicted on doing this?

"Ellie! WAKE UP!" Jenny said shaking me up as the car stopped "Look at me, we got all solved out, Austin will help you, I will be in the car ready if you want to leave and Miles will be on the hallway ok? Just breathe babe" she said caressing my head, I gave her a measurement nod and hoped this would end quickly.

Austin got out of the car and jenny hugged me "You can do it" she said leaving a kiss on my cheek, I let out a small smile as Austin opened the car door. He extended his hand and I grabbed it while he helped me get out of the car

I thanked him while he smiled placing my hand on his arm and guiding me inside.

"Just breathe calmly and focus on looking good which won't be hard for you" he smiled softly, and I tilted my head watching him smile. Austin knew me and Blaze were divorcing I guess bad news travels fast and once he figured everything out he solicited himself to be my lawyer, I could only accept since I had no plans for this day however Jenifer and Miles had every second planned and when Austin joined the planned they were more thrilled.

"The process in the civil registry office is simpler and faster, but only possible if the both parties agree on the rest of the terms which you did. Once they read everything and you agree to it and sign we can leave" Austin explained leaving me a bit less stressed I guess.

"Good Afternoon may I ask-" the receptionist asked but once her eyes landed on Austin she knew exactly what we wanted "floor 3, sir"

"Thank you" we stepped into the elevator and Austin clicked on the button while I tried to prepare myself to face him.

The doors opened and Austin guided me to the correct room where we were supposed to meet " consular services... its here" he spoke knocking on the door

A tall man in his mid 60s appearead and welcomed us inside it seemed that we were the first to got here"please come in. I am Laurence Jones and I will be sealing your divorce Mrs. Maxwell. Oh please, come on in and sit down"

While the man sat and the top of the table we sat on the side back for the window.

"Anything to eat?" the man questioned lifting up some cookies in a tray

"No thanks" I smiled

"Just water" Austin referred as he places the files and papers onto the table. The man brought the water to the table and I filled my cup and Austin's with water.

"So Austin what are you doing here? I thought your father had forbidden you from practicing law?" Laurence said between laughs I raise my eyebrow while looking at Austin but he kept looking at the papers on the table

"I am helping a friend" He mentioned

"I see... you should try to sneak for a bit you were the best Criminal defense attorney we had in years and the youngest"

"Well that was another life I am afraid"

"what a shame" the man spoke sitting down while the door opened revealing Connor carrying on a brown leather handbag and behind of Connor was him.

I gulped in my own saliva, already nervous for this encounter, my eyes blinked repeatedly trying to avoid the water from falling down once his gaze landed on me I quickly looked away as my heart thumped like crazy and ached quite painfully.

"What are you doing here?" His voice... I haven't heard his voice in so long yet I would recognize it anywhere

"Hello to you too" Austin smirked, there was something weird going on between the two but noting that I knew of.

"Should we start then? " Laurence questioned, Connor took a briefcase that held all the papers signed by Blaze to put an end to this marriage

"Sure" Austin said, the climate within the conference room was rather obnoxious, I guess that's the word. Blaze never looked at me once and I tried to take small peaks once in a while at him, and like always he was handsome as ever, he had a grey suit on making his grey eyes pop and his blonde hair stand out.

As Laurence read the infinite amount of papers I could just travel back to the beginning of all this, like the data I stepped into the a empty restaurant and discussed our own contract. If that Elleonora of the past met this Elleonora right now, I could at least warn her... yet I guess I would do it again - how stupid is that right?

But I would do it again, without thinking because maybe it was an illusion, maybe it was a lie but I still lived it and I felt it and that's something he can never take from me the way I felt .

Laurence finally ended up reading the papers and double-checking all the signatures and the last and final paper was handed to my hands.

"Everything seems just fine... this is the last paper you will have to sign after this is signed you are officially divorced" Laurence commented. I looked over at the paper and I felt the tears wanting to appear, I tried desperately to fight them back and gladly Austin woke me up from that sadness by touching my arm and handing me his pen.

"Thanks" I said looking at him, he nodded softly while holding an encouraging smile

"You can do it" He whispered, I nodded and looking down at the paper I started my signature

"Here" I said finalizing the signature rotating the paper on the wooden table and handing it to Blaze. I handed the pen to Austin and he thanked with a smile, his actions was stopped by Blaze intense gaze

"Do you need a pen too?" Austin asked tilting the pen in Blaze direction, but he simply took a pen from his inside pocket of the blazer and signed quickly.

"Very well. I guess we are done now" Laurence said checking the final document and our signatures"It was a pleasure working with you, I wish you the best" Laurence smiled while gathering all of the paperwork

"Thank you, sir."Connor said politely getting up and packing everything, Austin did the same while Blaze left the room

"I will meet you outside ok?" Austin told me while leaving the room following Blaze, I frowned at his behavior, and curious I hurried to listen to their talk

"AH Mrs. Maxwell!" but Connor stopped me, I almost freezer at the name "I mean Mrs. Hart"

"Yes Connor, I hope nothing weird happens between us "

"You are just my best friend's boyfriend, don't worry only if you hurt then you will need to worry"

"Yeah fare enough... I am so sorry about this Elleonora" He said looking into my eyes, I could see he really meant it, I smiled at his truthfulness while placing a hand over his shoulder

"It's ok" I lied and quickly got out of there caught the took men talking loudly in front of the elevator

"You don't know what you're getting yourself into Austin"

"And you do, Blaze?"

"I am warning you"

"So am I" Austin fired back

"Don't ever appear in front of me again"Blaze spat and entered the elevator, Connor ran his way to the elevator with the folders in his hands catching Blaze in the elevator

"I will try everything to not to " Austin responded as the elevator doors closed
