Gayathri's mom made the best atukazh paya which she just loved to gulp.If it hadn't been for Reena's adamancy,Gayu might not have been able to relish her favourite paya. Reena had broken her leg and decided to stay back with her in rajapalyam. Gayu knew that it would be troublesome to leave behind Reena so she decided to stay back with her in Rajapalyam for a couple more days until Reena could walk again. Just as Gayu was finishing her paya ,Reena entered.
Gayu:Reena, Amma told me that you went out last night and came back really late.Where had you been last night . Dint I warn you before that this village is not a very safe place and strange things happen here.

Reena:Stop it Gayu. I think you are just overreacting. I dint get sleep last night so I thought I'd go out to get some fresh air

Gayu: no Reena...I know that you are lying to me. I know that you are hiding something from me

Reena:Gayu please..don't be so worried about me. I dint do anything wrong . I'm a grown woman so even if I cross any danger ,I think I'm capable of taking care of myself so please don't get pissed off at me

Gayu :Reena you don't understand . It's not safe to wander off into the night like this especially after what happened to Pechimuthu.Nobody feels that it is safe to go out in the night anymore . You don't know what's out there and besides we can't let anything happen to you because you are our responsibility now . As long as you are under our roof ,you can't go out of your way to put yourself in danger.
Saying this Gayu went inside.Reena sat on the porch swing and began thinking about the thing which she saw last night. Last night Reena had fallen asleep but she was woken up suddenly by some strange noise. At first she thought it was nothing and went back to sleep but she heard  the strange noise once again and decided to investigate what it was . It was coming from outside. She felt that it sounded more like the neighing of a horse. It was really strange as there was no horse in Rajapalyam and why would a horse come there at that odd hour. Reena thought it was wise to follow the sound of the horse. As she followed the neighing she saw hoof prints on the mud. She followed the hoof prints. At a distance she saw something flashing behind a tree which was white in color. It looked like a tail. She thought it must be the tail of the horse and decided to approach it with caution . As she neared it ,she was able to see the body as well and confirmed that it was indeed the horse which she had been following but as she approached it even more closer,she accidentally stepped on a twig and the horse got alerted by the sound and began to run for it. Reena drew up all the energy that she could muster up and gave it a wild chase. The horse was too fast for Reena ,yet she was adamant in seeing where it went. The horse finally came near an old rock and stopped there for a while but as Reena approached it, it ran away once again but this time Reena was too worn out to go after it so she decided that it was best not to go after it. But when she saw the rock that the horse had stopped by she saw something which was very strange . The rock had some engravings on it which seemed really old . Reena thought it would be best to click a picture and examine what it was later so she took out her digicam and clicked a few pictures of the engravings on the rock .
     By now Reena was familiar with most of the routes and stuff in Rajapalyam so she dint have any difficulty in returning home. But by the time she had returned home it was very late so she decided to sneek inside so that she wouldn't get into trouble .So she sneekily slipped into her room but what she dint know was that Gayu's Amma had spotted her entering the house when she had woken up to go to the kitchen to have some water .
