Also Marlee, the female lead, is black. Levi, the male lead, is white. There isn't going to be romance for most of this book. This book is mostly about their friendship and the impact they have on each other's lives. Their friendship might turn romantic, you'll just have to read to find out😉

This book will be written with every other chapter being a journal entry from Marlee's journal. If you're not a fan of that you can skip those chapters, but they have a lot of information that will be important throughout the story so I would suggest not doing so.

Also to avoid confusion, this book presently takes place in 2018 starting out. The journal entries will be dated from when Marlee writes them. A lot of her first entries were written in 2015 to 2016. I hope that doesn't trip anyone up. I have the book taking place in 2018 because at some point I plan to write about their college experiences in another book. And maybe even a book with them after college, I'm not sure yet though.
