°Death of a Bachelor°
((inspired by the p!atd song of the same name))
"Y/N?" Your boyfriend of nearly five years popped his head into your study. "Do you wanna film a video with me?"
"What kind of video?"
"They added some new songs to Just Dance."
You closed out of your tab, spinning the chair around to face him. "That sounds great!"
"Okay, I'm going to get the recording stuff set up, then we'll start." He dashed out of the room.
Standing up and stretching, you smiled to yourself. You couldn't have found a better person to love than him. In the living room, Mark was adjusting the cameras and fiddling with equipment on his laptop.
"You ready babe?" You asked him.
"Yep!" He jumped up as you stepped into frame. "Hello everybody! My name is Markiplier! And as you probably know by now, this is my girlfriend, Y/N!"
"Hey guys! I'm back! And today Mark has persuaded me to play Just Dance with him."
"Aw are you scared to lose?"
"Nah, I'm afraid you'll cry because I'm going to cream you."
He stuck his tongue out at you as you selected a level. This one you found yourself having trouble on, but Mark seemed to get it.
"This is more exercise than I remember." You panted, desperately swinging your arms to the beat.
"Me too, except I'm still beating you!" He teased, to which you broke away from dancing and pounced on him, knocking both of you out of range of the sensor.
As the game console was going wacko over sensing no people, you and Mark got into a tickle war on the ground. "You cheater!" He exclaimed as you straddled him in an attempt to keep him on the ground.
"What ever could you mean?" You asked innocently, jerking away from his fingers on your sides, falling off of his torso.
This time Mark hovered over you, fingers flitting across every possible ticklish area. "Stop!" You flailed around, trying to wiggle out of his grasp.
"Only if you say I'm the best at Just Dance!"
"Never! I demand a rematch!"
At this prospect, he stopped the tickle attacks and helped you up. "Winner takes all?"
"Takes all what?"
He thought for a moment. "The rest of the brownie batter Oreos."
You gasped dramatically. "Game on!"
This time he chose the song, scrolling down to the !NEW! section, eventually choosing a newer Panic at the Disco song.
"Yes! I love this song!" You cheered. "Do we get bonus points for knowing the lyrics?"
"Nope, its called Just Dance, not Some Dance and Some Sing."
You made a childish face at him just before the actual dance started. Mark seemed distracted as he danced, causing you to be in the lead by a landslide. Finally it was time for the last stanza, a repeat of the chorus. Breathily, you sang along, internally grinning because there's be no way Mark would win.
"The death of a bachelor." You belted out, barely following the dance moves on screen. "Letting the water fall.
The death of a bachelor,
seems so fitting for
happily ever after.
How could I ask for more?"
Your voice trailed off as looked over to Mark dropping onto one knee and pulling something out of his pocket as the last lines were coming through the speaker:
A lifetime of laughter,
At the expense of the death of a bachelor
At the very last word, he opened up the small box to show a dazzling, beautiful engagement ring. "Y/N? You make me happier than I've ever been. You push me to be the best man I could-"
He was interrupted by the TV loudly asking him to get back into the sensor range. "Shut up, Just Dance! Ruining the moment!" Mark hissed, annoyed, before continuing.
"You push me to be the best man I could be, and you taught me about true love. So, will you marry me?"
"Yes." You nodded, offering your left hand to him so he could slip the ring on your ring finger.
Pulling him up into a passionate, happy, loving, kiss, you could feel yourself and him crying.
"Welcome, Player 2!" The TV suddenly announced, startling you both out of the happy haze.
"Oh jeez!" You laughed, hand over your heart. "Nearly gave me a heart attack."
"Don't die before we get married." Mark chastised you jokingly, before bringing you into a hug.
Burying your head in his chest, you mumbled, "I love you so much Mark. I'm glad I get to spend the rest of my life with you."
"Thank you for spending the rest of your life with me." He kissed the top of your head.
((random thought but i just realized that my sister is the same height as mark+jack... and that i'm only ~2 inches shorter than them.... holy shit.....))
