.prince.

Here is a guide to the type of gay shit I'll write:

.title. Means Fluff/Angst, maybe some hints.

~title~ Means Smut (if I ever have the courage to do so)

!title! Means Sensitive Content (Like self-hate, not smut)

Citizen!Mark x Prince!Dark

2058, July 15th.

Will be edited after the next chapter comes out

Mark was normal.

So normal it was boring.

But.

There was one thing that made his life special.

One person.

The Prince of this wretched place.

Damien Edwards.

Mark was walking to their meeting place now, fear coursing through his veins, with a very good reason why. Damien's father, Louis Edwards, would kill him if he saw The Civilian and The Prince together. That only made it more exciting. Mark's heart pounded as he walked up the sandy stairs to their place, it was small sure, but it was a good spot to hide. It was only openable with Damien's fingerprints, (Damien was a faster walker than Mark was) nobody lived there, nobody ever came there, nobody even knew it existed.

Mark and Damien had founded that place. It was a dark and gloomy place when they had found it, now? It was very welcoming, Mark & Damien had made a little blanket fort with some blankets Mark was too big for, and Damien bought some wooden chairs to hold it up. There was books in the small fort that Damien had bought for Mark, such as; Be More Chill, (Mark loved musicals, but refused to watch them if there was a book he hadn't read) Alice in Wonderland, (Mark loved old fantasy books) and The Lightning Thief. (Mark loved Greek mythology)

Mark's imagination ran wild whenever he read, the books Mark read were an escape to him. Whenever he was yelled at, Mark read. Whenever he was stressed, he read. Whenever he was sad, he read. At least the books welcomed Mark. Unlike his family who hated him for his feminine style and geeky nature.

Mark panted as he sat down by the door, turns out it was hard to run in flats. But despite his many breaks along the 5 mile trail, Damien wasn't even here yet. Mark took a few moments to catch his breath, and got out a piece of paper. The reason he had gotten here early was so he could write Damien a note.

A note that broke off their friendship.

Mark didn't want to do this, but he had to. Mark had... Felt things for Damien for a long time, it hurt whenever they met, Mark was afraid of these feelings. He was afraid to love somebody, not again. Not after last time.

Mark's love for the dark one was overwhelming. He was finding it hard to talk to Damien honestly, if he did he would probably say something stupid. Mark's stomach filled with butterflies whenever he saw him, Damien's smile made Mark's heart jump into his throat. His suits that he wore clung to his body so well, showing off his muscles. His beautiful crimson eyes that were so attractive. His plump lips. Damien was so handsome and perfect... Mark shook his head, he needed to start writing before Damien got here.

He brought his pen out from his pocket, as if on cue, Mark's hand started shaking. "I can do this... I got this..." He assured himself.

𝓓𝓮𝓪𝓻 𝓓𝓪𝓶𝓲𝓮𝓷,

𝓘 𝓴𝓷𝓸𝔀 𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓼 𝓲𝓼 𝓪 𝓫𝓲𝓽 𝓼𝓾𝓭𝓭𝓮𝓷, 𝓫𝓾𝓽 𝓘 𝓬𝓪𝓷'𝓽 𝓼𝓮𝓮 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓪𝓷𝔂𝓶𝓸𝓻𝓮. 𝓘𝓽'𝓼 𝓷𝓸𝓽 𝔂𝓸𝓾, 𝓲𝓽'𝓼 𝓶𝓮. 𝓘 𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓶𝓸𝓻𝓮 𝓽𝓱𝓪𝓷 𝓪𝓷𝔂𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓷𝓰, 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓽𝓱𝓪𝓽'𝓼 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓹𝓻𝓸𝓫𝓵𝓮𝓶. 𝓘'𝓶 𝓲𝓷 𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮 𝔀𝓲𝓽𝓱 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓓𝓪𝓶𝓲𝓮𝓷. 𝓘'𝓵𝓵 𝓶𝓲𝓼𝓼 𝔂𝓸𝓾, 𝓜𝓪𝓻𝓴.

Almost as soon as Mark finished writing, He saw Damien running towards their house. His heart started doing back-flips, He's here! He's Here! He's Here! It seemed to shout. Mark folded the letter and put it in my back pocket. he wanted one more visit with him.

"Hey! You're here early!" Damien shouted a few hundred feet away, Mark stood up, somehow already flustered. "H-Hi Dames, I missed you..." Mark said, quieter than a yell now that Damien was closer. Mark almost screamed with joy as Damien gave him a hug, "I'm sorry," Damien pulled away, "I was just told that I... That I have to get married within the year." "What, Why?" Mark stuttered, confused, "My dad-" Damien choked,

"My dad is going to die soon and I have to replace him. I know he isn't a good person, that I should be saying 'Good riddance' but... He's my dad, he's raised me when my mother wouldn't. Whether or not it was for a selfish reason, I-I'm going to miss the bitch."

"Dames, How did he... I-Do you know who you're going to marry?" Mark asked quickly, afraid of the answer. "Well... I was thinking you, but I don't know if you're willing-" "I don't mind, It'll be nice to see you more often!" Damien smiled, "Really? You-You'll be my king?" Damien said wistfully. Mark was smiled like crazy, he had wanted to hear that for months.  "Of course! Anything to support you. You don't wanna marry some chick who wants 15 babies do you?"

Damien smiled, "Hell no! I just... Didn't want you to stop being my friend, you're my best friend after all." I shook my head quickly. "I'd never do that. I lov-like you too much!" Damien's smile grew, he nuzzled into Mark's neck, rocking them back and forth. "I'm so excited Mark!"

5 months later

"Do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?" The priest asked, Damien nodded with a bright light in his eyes, "I do." The priest turned to Mark, "Do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?" Mark smiled, "I do." "Then without further ado, you may now kiss the groom." The priest smiled, Damien leaned in and kissed Mark. He almost laughed, his dreams were coming true.
