The gray skies cried silently throughout the city. It was currently 10:58 AM. You rolled around in the bed you shared with your boyfriend, Mark. Your body adjacent to his. You lifted up your eyes slowly as the sun crept in. You snuggled into the warmth of Mark's chest. You soon felt a lazy arm go around your lower back, pulling you closer. Mark's head laid on top of yours. You looked up at him. You could see a small smile forming onto his lips.

"Morning." He said in a husky voice.

"Morning." You smiled. 

He moved his head so he could touch foreheads with you. He pecked your lips. Your stomach grumbled. Red rose to your cheeks. 

"Hungry?" Mark giggled.

"Yeah.." You chuckled. 

"How about we go to that small restaurant that's 3 blocks from here." Mark suggested

"Mm... okay." You agreed. 

Mark slowly sat up from the bed. He got up from his spot and went to walk to the bathroom. You slowly trailed after him. You both brushed your teeth together. You laughed at Mark's reflection when he had toothpaste dripping from his mouth. Ironically, you choked on your own toothpaste. Mark started laughing at you now. You pushed his shoulder teasingly. 

A few minutes later~ 

"Markk... it's raining.." You said staring out the big window in the living room. 

"Ah...." Mark responded as he looked out the window too. 

"It's fine, we'll just have to run." Mark grinned.

"Out of all the years we've lived here, we've never got an umbrella." You sighed. 

"Yes we have.. but you leant them all out to the boys.." Mark said. 

"Oh yeah.." Your voice trailed off. 

You glanced at your phone. It was now 11:37 AM. You went to your closet to get your boots and a long rain coat. Mark grabbed his sneakers and wore a hoodie. You grabbed your belongings and put them in your pocket. Mark was putting on his shoes. 

"How 'bout I race you there?" You played.

"Haha... Sure. We won't get that wet if we run there." Mark chuckled. 

"Okay since you have longer legs... I'm getting a head start!!" You scream as you run out the door. 

"Yah!!" Mark yelled after you.

You ran as fast as you could down the stairs. Once you half way down the stairs you could hear your apartment door close. You finally reached the ground level and ran outside. The rain was coming down softer than before. You put on your hood and ran up the block. 

"________!" Mark yelled after you. 

You glanced behind you to see Mark laughing all the way. You laughed to yourself. Your feet splashed along the sidewalk. You slowed down a little bit as you tried to catch your breath. Suddenly you felt a forcefully embrace from behind you. 

"AH!" You flinched. 

"It's just me." Mark giggled and breathed out. 

"You scared me! How....did.. you... catch up to me?" You huffed. 

"You were going so slow." Mark giggled. 

"Shut up.." You teased. 

Mark linked his hand with yours. There was only half a block left to the restaurant.

"We should pick up an umbrella on the way home." You said. 

"Mmm.." Mark nodded.
