That moment didn't last long, but it wasn't Gray who ruined it. Celebrations were under way when the king gathered everyone up, distraut and desperate.

"Dragons?!" you squeak out. "How are we going to take down dragons?!"

"Hate to break the news to you, but you are a dragon slayer." Gray rolls his eyes at you.

"Good point!" Cana yells out. "(Y/n), you better be good at it! When I offered you the position of best friend, I was banking on the fact that a dragon slayer would come in handy. Don't disappoint me now."

"You get a dragon to bleed and tell me how easy it is!" you defend your original fear.

"Too bad an alcohol slayer doesn't often come in handy." Gray retorts while nudging you, and Cana jumps for his neck, only to be blocked by Laxus.

"Enough children!" Gramps interjects. "You are members of Fairy Tail. More importantly, you are exceptional wizards! If anyone can do this, it is the lot of you. Your majesty, you can count Fairy Tail in!" After an awkward 3 seconds of silence, your guild erupts into cheers, immediately followed by the rest of the guilds.

"Us too.. Wild!" "MAN, yeahh, mannnn!" "We won't be beaten by reptiles!" "This kingdom has always been good to us wizards, it's our duty to protect it!" As the other guilds join in, the king begins crying tears of happiness. That moment is also short lived, as the eclipse gate begins to open. Suddenly, the ground begins to shake and a major blast of magic takes out everything in its path from the castle to where you wizards stand.

"I think that means they're here!" Sting yells, getting into a fighting stance.

"Every one, split up! Protect the city!" gramps yells, and Fairy Tail begins to rush to meet the first dragon. You hesitate, and look regretfully at Sting.

"I know, go." he tells you, knowing exactly what that look on your face means. 

"Stay alive. You owe me a date." you smile assuringly, running backwards towards Laxus and the rest of your guild.

"Nothing, not even some measly dragons, are going to stop me from that!" he yells out as he runs away towards the city.

"It's so cute how much he likes you!" Evergreen squeals, earning an eye roll from all of her male team members. 

"We have dragons to worry about! Get your heads in the game and quit acting like little girls." Laxus yells, running faster now that you've caught up.

The first dragon is a massive fire dragon. It seems as if his whole body is one giant flame. Naturally, Gray and Juvia spring to the front of the group, thinking their magic is the best equipped for this foe. Their Ice and water combination should be perfect against this element. Wrong.

"Water Nebula!"

"Ice Geyser!" 

The duo shout attempting an unison raid. Juvia's water spirals out with force, turning into ice geysers the whole way to the dragon. Shocking everyone, the attack does nothing. 

"HA! You humans are no match for my hellfire!" the dragon screams out.

"Stand back my children." gramps tells the guild while beginning to huff and glow. 

"What is he doing?!" someone yells in the background.

"Taking down a dragon, what's it look like?!" you yell out with a smile, proud of your grandpa's enormous amount of power. He begins growing in size until he is as tall as the dragon. Taking on the dragon single handedly, he jumps forward to land a punch directly on the dragon's face. After a minute, your grandpa drops his fist and reveals no damage was done again. He shrinks back to his normal size and you notice his fist are burned. 

"Nothing to worry about, just a little burn." he says to you, noticing your worried glance.

"Guess it's up to us!" Bixslow yells, causing the Thunder Legion and you to begin throwing out attacks, back to back.

"Dark Ecriture: Pain!"

"Fairy Machine Gun: LEPRECHAUN!"

"Let's go BABIES!"

"Lightning Dragon ROARRRR!"

"Blood Dragon ROARRRR!"

"NOTHING?!" everyone yells out as the attacks clear out and show no damage whatsoever afflicted onto the dragon.

"Master Mavis! You're a tactician aren't you? What should we do?" Gray ask, hopeful she has all the answers your guild so desperately needs right now.

"There are 7 dragons. The plan of action should be completely obvious at this point." Mavis answers. As if answering as well, Natsu begins yelling out from above the city.

"CAN YOU HEAR ME?!" he screams. "Let's quit playin around and use our dragon slaying magic! There are 7 dragons and we have 8 dragon slayers. We can do this! Its what we were born for! Our whole lives have led to this day. Let's use our powers and slay some freakin dragons! Who's with me? I'm going dragon hunting!" As he says that, everyone in the guild notices Happy flying Natsu above the fire dragon before you. Natsu drops onto his back. "A Fire dragon?! This one is all mine!."

"What are you doing human? GET OFF ME!" the dragon roars, trying to shake Natsu off.

"I'm gonna eat ya!" Natsu casually says, eating up as much fire as he can.

"Natsu what are you doing?!" Laxus yells, blown away by Natsu's crazy antics.

"What does it look like? Getting his fire into my belly!" he yells back with his mouth full, still taking in the flames.

"Okkkk.." you reply back, looking just as shocked as Laxus.

"You guys should get to the castle right now. Wendy could use some backup!" he suggests to you two. 

"Eventhough she is a dragon slayer she's rather young and inexperienced." Evergreen agrees.

The rest of the Thunder Legion agrees and begins to turn around. "HEY! Are you sure you can handle this one?" Laxus ask Natsu, hesitating.

"Yeah! I'm gonna eat him and get tons of power." he says with that goofy, carefree grin of his.

"If you're sure then. Good luck!" you reply.

"Let's go!" Laxus yells, leading the way with you and the rest of the team running right behind him. Just a few feet away you notice tons of eggs are beginning to hatch some sort of weird, smaller dragons. 

"WHAT THE HELL?!" Cana yells, attacking one and taking it right out. 

"You guys should take on as many of these ones as you can!" you suggest. "We'll hurry and make our way to Wendy and the big ones!"

"We've got this!" Romeo yells, sending attacks towards a hoard of them.

"Yeah, you guys go ahead!" Cana yells back, and you turn with Laxus and the Thunder Legion towards the castle. Upon arriving, you see a group from the royal army, as well as a few royal subjects. At the front of them are Lucy, Mira, Wendy, and Yuinko from Sabertooth.

"Natsu stole our dragon, so we're here for yours Wendy!" you yell out, jumping next to her in battle stance. "Mira, I brought my brother so you two can save each other like those lovers in the children's books do!" 

"(Y/N) THIS IS NOT THE MOMENT!" She yells out in her she-devil voice.

"(Y/n), don't provoke her in that form unless you want to die." Laxus smirks, looking briefly at the girl he refuses to admit he loves.

"SKY DRAGON ROARRRR!" Wendy yells out, looking winded already.

"Rest a little." you say, pushing her back slightly. "Play support for a while instead."

"Yeah, you did good. Let us wreak havoc for a while." Laxus says, sparking up and dropping his coat. The thunder legion and you repeat the same attacks you tried on the fire dragon, to no avail. 

"YOU DAMN DRAGONS ARE STARTING TO PISS ME OFF!" you scream out, surrounding yourself in a red aura now. 

"It's about time." Laxus scoffs at you.

"Shut up and help me." you snap back, jumping on his back.

"What are you doing?!" he yells up at you. "We can both attack at the same time like this." He must have realized what you already had, because he begins to attack the dragon without question. 

"Lightning Dragon Iron Fist!"

"Blood Dragon Iron Fist!"

You both propel at the dragon as Laxus jumps forward, magic hitting at the exact same time, in the exact same spot of its throat. Both of you land on the ground safely, but realize this has done nothing again.

"Damnit!" you hear Bixslow yell out as he sends his babies in for an experimental surprise attack. His attack only causes the dragon to bust into laughter.

"You humans are as stupid as you look, aren't you?" the dragon says, not phased by your team at all.

I only have one more idea right now Lax." you cut glare at the dragon, "Surely no one can raid better than a brother and sister right?"

"Dragons vs Dreyers!" Laxus says, turning to you with a smirk. Out of nowhere Laxus picks up on his shoulders, just like he would when you were younger. Laxus holds firmly onto your shins and you hold your hands down firmly next to your thighs on his shoulders. Both of you close your eyes and cast at the same time.

"RED LIGHTNING!"

"BLOOD STREAM TORMENT!" 

When you open your eyes you see a deep red lightning splatter onto the dragons skin and seep in, appearing to burn away at his scales. The dragon winces for a moment, but nothing more. 

"That would have killed any other opponent!" Lucy yells amazed at the damage you two could have inflicted. 

"Too bad it didn't." Laxus growls, putting you down. Both of you catch your breath as the dragon begins to rant about humans and how he prefers to eat on females. Realizing you're lacking serious power now, you come up with an idea. 

"I have an idea. I'm sorry, I have to go!" you say running back towards the city.

"WHAT?! GET THE HELL BACK HERE!" Laxus yells out to you, furious.

"TRUST ME! I have a really good idea. I'll be fine!" you urge him as you turn away. "Wendy, help keep him safe!"

"DON'T FORGET ABOUT ME HUMANS!" the dragon in front of them yells out in frustration.

Disappearing around the corner, you see nothing but ruble. With damage like this, it's inevitable that there will be blood from the injured somewhere, you just need to find it. Might as well use it to end this faster. Their blood alone won't be enough though. Just then you see what you never thought you would. A man flying on a dragon that looks like he could be related to Rogue. He's yelling out to his dragon and he even sound like him. He spots you in an opening all alone and begins to laugh. Swooping down lower he addresses you.

"(Y/N)!" he erupts into maniacal  laughter. "Oh what a contradiction you are here tonight."

"What are you talking about?!" you ask, not bothering to hide your annoyance. "Matter of fact, who the hell are you?!" 

"You don't recognize your love's best friend?" he pretends to be hurt. 

"YOU AREN'T ROGUE!" you yell out, more confused than anything.

"Oh but I am!" he laughs. "You just don't recognize me with my holy light appearance."

"No, see that's more a Sting thing.." you sarcastically reply. "Personally, I think the whole Shadow Slayer thing suits you a bit better."

"Really now?" he begins an devilish grin. "I thought since Sting gave me these powers, you might feel differently."

"Sting might have taught you light magic, but that doesn't mean it compliments you." you scoff.

"Teach me?" he begins to laugh. "Maybe I should have had him teach me a little before I killed him."

You begin to choke on your own saliva when he says that. "What?!" you cough out. "What nonsense are you speaking?"

"I KILLED YOUR BOYFRIEND. It's not that hard to understand." he's growing annoyed now. "Don't worry though, you didn't care."

"FAKE ROGUE, YOU BETTER SHUT THE HELL UP RIGHT NOW!" you yell out, unintentionally glowing a crimson shade now.

"Calm down." he mutters. "I wasn't lying. You'll see. Now if you don't mind, I'll be on my way. I have a kingdom to take control of."

"OH NO YOU DON'T!" You yell running at him, but he commands his dragon up into the air again. 

"I'll be back for you, Princess." he sadistically glares at you. "I'm going to take down Achnologia, then Zeref will bow down to me. As his lap dog, you will too. I'll decide later if i'm going to keep you or kill you. See you in the future!" Just like that, he disappears. What the hell was that about?! Damnit, I need to find the real Rogue. Running off you look for signs of anyone. It takes a few moments but you finally see some on the other opening of an alleyway. 

"HEY! Do you guys need help?!" you yell running to them.

"IT'S YOU!" you hear a familiar voice yell back.

"BACHHUS!" you sigh out in relief. "Are you all ok?"

"Yeah girl, we're wild as ever!" Someone you have never met before answers back.

"Looks like you all could use a dragon slayer." you walk up to the front of their group to your friend.

"WILD!" they cheer out in excitement.

"I forgot you're one of those." Bacchus laughs, taking a sip of his alcohol. "Show us what you can do!"

"It's not going to be as easy as it sounds." you groan, knowing how unaffected the last two dragons have been by you. Getting in battle stance, you know you need to test your powers on this dragon, hoping it will be a better match for you.

"Blood Dragon Wing Attack!" you call out and bright red light laced with black flies out in the shape of wings at the dragon. The dragon steps back a moment, but is not hurt.

"Blood Magic.." he gasp. "That's interesting. I wonder what it'll taste like!"

"Isn't it obvious?" you roll your eyes. "Blood."

"DON'T INSULT ME HUMAN!" he bellows out, clearly agitated with your sarcasm.

"I would rather kill you." you mutter out, earning a roar from him.

"I can roar too. Blood Dragon ROARRRR!"  you yell out, putting as much power into it as you can. Nothing but a huff from the enormous foe results from the attack.

"Damnit." you growl. Just as you begin to get frustrated you hear Cana's voice distract everyone, including the dragon. 

"You two better not be enjoying drinks without me!" She spits out as she runs up throwing a card attack towards the dragon. 

"CANA!" you yell out excited to see she's ok. Behind her a few other guild mates run up to you as well. "Perfect! Distract him a moment!" you say, running to the rubble looking around as they yell out attacks simultaneously towards the beast. There has to be something sharp. I could take a rock, but there has to be something better. Come on, why does no one around here haves knives?! Throwing around a few rocks, climbing up the rubble, you see something shiny. FINALLY. Running over to grab it, you notice it's glass from a nearby shop window that was wrecked. Extending your arm you take it and look for a safe place to do it. Deciding on an area, you glide the glass down and draw blood, letting out painful gasp as you do so.

"(Y/N)! Stop!" your comrades yell as blood begins to trickle down your arm. 

"Why does no one ever learn?" you yell out, glaring at the dragon. "A little blood is good for my soul." you smirk as you walk back towards the dragon now. Instantly feeling refreshed, you begin attacking. "Antibodies."

Feeling your magic power begin to surge, you quickly cast at the dragon. "BLOOD MAKE TIDAL WAVE!" you yell out, and a massive wave of blood rises from the ground. It swishes around a moment and then soars towards the dragon. The dragon is soaked in blood and you yell out again. 

"Blood Stream Torment!" With that spell, the blood covering the dragon begins to sizzle and burn like acid. This aggravates the dragon. He shakes the blood off like a wet dog and smacks you out of the way with his claw.

"(Y/NNNNNN)!" Cana screams out, as Macao runs to help you up. Wincing as you stand, you start to laugh. 

"Why are you dragons so stupid?" 

"I can send you flying again you filthy human!" it laughs in response.

"You should realize by now." you walk back towards the front of the group. "If you're going to make me bleed, you better kill me." you say, touching a gash on your side from the impact a moment ago. You can also feel a little bit of blood wetting your hairline. The dragon takes your advice and begins to attack, but you're faster. 

"Blood Make CAPILLARIES!" you yell out and his beam of snow he shot towards you is blocked by a web of veins and blood vessels now surrounding you. 

"HOLD IT STRONG!" Cana yells to you and you put as much pressure as you can into that spell. Even with your enhanced magical power at the moment, the veins are beginning to harden and leak a little blood. 

"DAMNIT WHY IS THIS SO HARD!" you yell out, trying to surge more power into the defense. Just as you fall to the ground, blood disappearing into the ground around you, the dragon begins to glow yellow, and you can see through him now. 

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME HUMAN?!" it yells out, thrashing around angrily."

"(Y/n), is that you?" Romeo ask, starring up in amazement.

"Not that I know of kid." you whisper, staring in shock as well. The dragon floats up into the air and disappears. "What the hell?!" 

"I don't know, but I don't see any more dragons either." Wakaba says, taking a big puff of his cigar and scratching his head.

"We need to find out if everyone is alright." you say, grabbing your side and trying to stand.

"Here, let me help." Max offers you a hand up and then leans you on him as you walk further into the city. 

"MASTER! MAVIS! ANYONE?!" Cana yells out as the group of you wander around. 

"LEVYYY!" Jet yells out.

"NATSU!" Romeo joins.

It seems like forever passes before you spot anyone, but you finally do. In the center of the city, a  massive crowd of all the guilds has formed to look for survivors.

"Hey you guys are safe!" Erza greets before her face falls to your bloody side and arm. "Oh no what happened?!"

"(Y/N)!" Gray yells, noticing it too.

"What happened dear?" your grandfather asks as you limp closer with Max.

"Nothing, I'm fine." you flash a smile towards everyone.

"That's not nothing." Rogue walks up next to you.

"That's a lot of blood!" Sting yells out, worry evident on his face.

"It's not that deep." you assure them. "Honestly, I'll be o-"

"MOVE!" Laxus yells, pushing through the crowd, staring you down. 

"LAXUS! You're okay!" you sigh.

"Don't you dare act like everything is ok!" he growls, not inching towards your face. "YOU RAN OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BATTLE ON YOUR OWN!"

"You what?!?!" everyone around you yells.

"Laxus." you grandfather says, walking up now.

"Don't even start old man." he grumbles, eyes not tearing from your gaze one bit.

"Laxus, check your temper." he sighs in annoyance. "(Y/n), you know that is frowned upon."

"I was fine!" you defend. "I knew I needed to find blood, so I went to find some and help fight a dragon where there wasn't a slayer."

"She had the smartest tactic of you all." Mavis smiles placing a hand on your shoulder.

"You look like you were hit by a train." Laxus growls before taking you into a hug. "I'm still mad at you."

"I know." you smile, hugging him back. "Me too."

"FOR WHAT?!" he says letting go of you.

"Not confessing to Mira after helping her fight for your lives." you laugh, and Lucy joins in with you.

"Tch." is the only response Laxus can come up with while a tiny blush begins creeping up on his face.

"Let's get everyone back to the inns. Rest is certainly needed after a day as eventful as today." your grandfather says, walking next to his two grandchildren.
