Just as you thought it would, your heart sank a little when you heard the announcement. Today the only thing on everyone's mind is the battle of the dragon slayers - Gajeel & Natsu vs Rogue & Sting. Fairy Tail vs the almighty Sabertooth. Cana sat down next to you with a bottle of your favorite drink to watch this one, knowing it was going to stress you out. 

"Want to make a game out of it?" she asks, holding up the bottle. 

"I'm standing right here you know." Laxus says to Cana. 

"I love you Laxus. But yes Cana, please." you say, grabbing the bottle from her as your team mates walk out to face off with your new friends. 

"I'll take that damn bottle if I think I need to." he growls, but lets you be for now.

"I'm sorry it has to be like this." Mira looks over to you with a sad expression. 

"Don't be. I'm a proud member of Fairy Tail and I want to see us reach Number One again too." you say looking back to them. "To be the best, you have to beat the best."

"THERE'S THE SPIRIT!" Mavis yells, taking a swig of your bottle. 

"Um, you're a ghost!" Cana reminds her, taking the bottle back. "So let's make rules."

"Well we can't take a drink every time there's a hit on someone. We'll die." you laugh at the thought of how much magic is about to be used in this battle.

"Ok.. every time someone does a 'roar' spell, drink." she starts. "Ooh! What about every time Sting gets cocky?"

"Now you're really trying to kill her." Laxus jumps in. "You'll run out of alcohol before the battle finishes."

"Every time the announcers say Fairy Tail."  you decide.

"I like it! Now, every time Natsu says he has a fire in his belly or is all fired up." Cana adds and the whole guild breaks out in laughter. With that, a few more members of the guild decide they're going to join in on the game with their beers. "Also, if you dare cry at all, TWO drinks."

"Challenge accepted." you glare at your best friend. 

The action finally begins and so does your alcohol consumption. "First Roar of the day, cheers!" you both say, taking swigs of the bottle. To your surprise, your team is landing every hit on the twin dragons, and dodging their attacks as well. 

"Looks like your boyfriends are getting their asses kicked already." Laxus says to you, genuinely looking confused for a moment. "This is the famous Sabertooth? They better just be testing strengths."

"Announcers said Fairy Tail." Mavis cheers, showing the love she has for this particular rule in the game. You and Cana look at each other, cheers.

Another minute of the fight continues to be on Fairy Tail's side, until the fighting comes to a break. The slayers all begin discussing their dragons, leading to Sting and Rogue showing off their 'real dragon slayer magic'. 

"White Drive"

With that their whole aura illuminates in their signature opposing white and black. 

"Now is where the real fun begins!" Mavis cheers from the balcony. 

"I wish I shared her enthusiasm." you mumbled. "YOU BETTER NOT MESS THIS UP FLAME BRAIN!" you yell down to Natsu, and he growls at you for a second. The pairs in the arena begin a staring contest that feels like it's lasting for ages. 

"Who will be the first to make a move?" one of the announcers say. As if he was answering, Sting strikes first, punching Natsu with a bright light, knocking him back a few feet.

"Enjoy my HOLY WHITE JUDGEMENT!" he says as he strikes Natsu again, blow after blow. As Gajeel is distracted, worried about Natsu, Rogue strikes him with his Dragon force. Gajeel can't land a single hit on him either. Of course, it wouldn't be Natsu and Gajeel if they didn't start fighting with each other.. so they did indeed.

"HEY! You're fight is with us losers! Show some respect!" Sting yells, Rogue and him both above Fairy Tail's dragon slayers. They jump down on them hard. When they land it's obvious their power has drastically increased since activating Dragon Force. Fighting continues to be in Sabertooth's favor for the new few minutes, attack after attack. Then Gray and Erza notice something is different about the last punch Sting made on Natsu. A white magic circle is now imprinted onto Natsu's torso. Everyone can see this is effecting Natsu, but then the idiot burns it right off of himself and gets back to attacking.

"Sting has been cocky this entire round, CHUG FOR 45 SECONDS!" Cana yells, and you obey.

Sting begins punching on Natsu, but Rogue doesn't get so lucky. Gajeel catches him and finally lands a hit on him. Right after that, Natsu blocks Sting's next fist, and hits him with a flaming fist.

"NOT THE FACE!" you yell causing everyone to look at you for a second. "What? He's hot." you say, as if it's no big deal.

"Ah, young love is so magical." Mavis says with a sparkle in her eye.

"I'm glad you're finally admitting your feelings." Mira chimes in with the sweetest smile. 

"I didn't say all of that." you reply, a blush appearing on your face. You drink in an attempt to get out of that conversation. Natsu and Gajeel land a few decent blows on Sabertooth now and it's obvious Sting is getting annoyed.

"Just like that, the tides of battle change once again!" the announcers comment, and you start paying more attention to the fight. Sting suddenly stops, and begins to illuminate in a bright white, more than you have seen him do yet.

"Guess we'll have to go all out!" he yells. The bright light begins to takeover the arena and no one can really see anything for a moment. The power radiating from Sting is insane and everyone tenses up. Much to everyone's amazement, the light clears and the dust settles to reveal Natsu, holding Sting's fist back. He blocked the biggest attack yet with one hand! Gajeel continues to overtake Rogue, but all you can focus on is the worry now all over Sting's face. Natsu and Gajeel begin finally working together some and the Sabertooth slayers are being thrashed all around. 

"You're worried, and I think they said Fairy Tail somewhere in all that mess, drink." Cana says, her eyes never leaving the battle in front of her. Knowing she's right, you are becoming increasingly tense, you tip the bottle back and chug some. Sting and Rogue fall to the ground and you stand up walking to the balcony. For a moment, it doesn't appear that they're going to get up, but they do and what you see is mind blowing. Sting and Rogue are swarmed with their magic, matching scales all over. They activated Dragon Force at will, and it's definitely stronger than before.

"Natsu was only able to use that power once he ate Ethereon in the Tower of Heaven. Then again when he consumed my magic against Zero. These two seem to be able to use it whenever they seem fit." Jellal tells your group. Now everyone is worried. 

As if he can't get any worse, your nerves go into overdrive when Sting challenges both Gajeel and Natsu alone. 

"Stupid just got cocky. Better drink up." Laxus said, a smartass look on his face. At least someone is enjoying Sting's irrational idea. Just like that, Sting makes the first move again, sending Natsu backwards, but he catches himself and comes right back to him with his flames. Same thing happens to Gajeel. The two boys are now both piling on punches at Sting, but he's blocking every one of them with exceptional speed. Making it appear effortless, Sting catches them both and sends them flying into each other..twice.

"WHITE DRAGON HOLY BREATH!" Sting yells from above them, sending a blast of holy light magic through the stadium.

"WAKE THE HELL UP OUT THERE NATSU!" you yell, hoping this fight ends soon. The magic clears away and just like a sick joke, it gets worse. The ground to the arena is now a huge hole, and no one can see where they are or what's happening.

"DRINK!" you tell Cana as you feel your eyes watering up. Now you're not stressed, you're terrified. It seems as if Sting has just as much power as Natsu. "Please don't kill him!" you whisper to yourself, and you don't even know which one you're concerned about dying at this point. 

Finally, a huge Lacrima vision pops up and you all can watch what is happening below. Gajeel and Natsu both hit Sting in the air with attacks, but he withstands them. He brings his hands together prompting another spell, and even the audience looks intimidated. 

Sting releases the seemingly most powerful attack of the battle yet and it's clear that Gajeel and Natsu felt it.

"Holy elemental magic.." Mavis says to herself in amazement.

"YOUR BOYFRIEND IS A JERK!" Levy yells at you while holding an equally as mad Pantherlily. 

"No he's not!" you defend, worry still evident all over your face. "and he's not my boyfriend!"

"Oh, are you dumping him now that he's beating Fairy Tail?" Gray ask, trying to be a smart ass.

"Shut it Gray!" you yell back in annoyance and take a sip from your bottle. "Fairy Tail is going to overcome this."

"THAT'S THE SPIRIT!" Mavis cheers. You and Cana both look at each other, knowing this means another drink. The two of you struggle to swallow the drink as you laugh at her ridiculous cheer dance she has started doing.

Sting strikes them with attack after attack, absolutely dominating the battle all on his own. A few minutes of this, and your guild mates are down on the ground, not getting up.

"Natsu and Gajeel may not be getting up folks. It was an entertaining fight but it looks like Fairy Tail may have succumbed to Sabertooth's Twin Dragons after all." the announcers comment, not sounding too surprised. 'Get up!' you think, your eyes stinging a little. 'Natsu, I know you better than this. Get up!' Everyone is yelling their pleas for the pair to get up, half of them looking more depressed than you may have ever seen them.

"Good fight. That was the toughest I've ever had. Thanks, I mean it." Sting says to them, deactivating his Dragon Force.

"QUIT LAYING THERE! YOU HAVE A FIGHT TO FINISH!" Gray yells down.

"You are not alone! You are members of Fairy Tail and Fairy Tail wizards are never alone!" Erza yells to them as well. 

Rogue finally joins his partner again and that's when your friends decide to shock everyone. They stand back up, confident as ever now somehow. "Am I drunk or are they fine?" you ask, taking a sip from the bottle.

"I was wondering the same thing.." Macao commented, sounding just as confused.

"IT'S AS IF STING'S ATTACKS DIDN'T EVEN PHASE THEM!" the announcers yell, sharing the same shock as everyone else. You heard a faint laugh under someones breath and new what was coming. Chug.

"You're boyfriend can't win this now you know." Laxus says. "And I meant what I said, I'll take that damn bottle." You stopped chugging for a moment and the battle seems as if it's about to begin again. It doesn't though. Natsu and Gajeel starting arguing, and then fighting each other, again.

"That's embarrassing." Gray says. 

"We should've incorporated this into the rules." you joke to Cana, hearing your brother laugh. Looking around you noticed no one else is laughing though. "I know you all can't seriously be surprised at this right now?!"

The quarrel among the two ceases when Natsu does the unthinkable, pushing Gajeel down a mineshaft & declaring a 2 on 1 battle, just as Sting had in the beginning.

"NATSU JUST SAID FIRED UP!" Happy yelled, causing everyone to cheer & drink. 'This is bad. This is bad.' you think, knowing damn well that look on Natsu's face paired with those words, never ends up good for the opponent. 'It's ok. I want us to win.'

"They aren't going to die down there. Relax." Cana says, pushing the bottle up to your mouth.

"You think you can take us on alone? Big Mistake." Sting yells, looking worried, and illuminating himself again. "Did you forget we have control over Dragon Force?" Rogue is now illuminated with his shadows too. "There's nothing in the world stronger than a dragon and both of us have their power!" He attacks first, but Natsu blocks his punch with a smirk. Cockiness, drink some.

"I don't think you're all the way there yet pal." Natsu tells him and Sting's face is livid. The two go back and forth with remarks until Natsu does something you haven't seen him do before. He illuminates himself in intense power and flames, just the way Stind and Rogue are doing with their Dragon Force. Natsu usually only looks like this when someone's life is seriously on the line.

"YOU'RE GOING TO KILL HIM NATSU!" you yell.

"Alright, that's the end of that." Laxus says as he reaches from behind you and takes the bottle from your hand.

"HEY JERK! WE NEED THAT!" Cana yells to him.

"No." he retorts. "YOU can have it back, after you fix the waterworks you unleashed."

"What waterworks?" she ask confused.

"Wait for it." Laxus grumbles, passing the bottle to Bixslow.

The intense chatting between the dragon slayers on the lacrimatrons stops as Natsu sends Sting flying backwards. Rogue attacks in response but Natsu's flames completely break through Rogues Shadow Roar and he is sent back as well. 

"Roar. Drink." Laxus says with a smirk to Bixslow, causing the jokester to drink from your bottle with a smirk. Watching the fight again, the Twin Dragons both come at Natsu at the same time but Natsu sends them flying back with ease. Every punch from Sting is blocked and then returned with a more powerful one. The entire time Natsu is punching away at Sting, Rogue is being kicked away. Natsu hits them both in the jaw with streams of fire. That's it for you.

"SHOW OFF!" you yell towards Natsu.

"We do want him to win child." Gramps says to you with a laugh.

"I know but he doesn't have to be mean about it." you grumble, reaching for the bottle that you remember is no longer there. Laxus can be heard letting out a laugh from behind you at this.

"SABERTOOTH IS A BUNCH OF JERKS. Why can't he be mean?!" Levy questions you like you have lost your mind.

"BECAUSE HE ISN'T THE MEAN ONE IN THEIR GUILD!" you yell back,. "And his face." you whisper, causing Gray to bust out laughing.

"HAAAAAA!" Cana screams. "I can't wait to tell him how much you actually do like his face. You're crying over it."

Touching your face you realize you did let a tear slip. Damnit. "YOU'RE G-" you start but have a particularly big hiccup. "YOU'RE GONNA CRY OVER YOUR FACE!"

"OH! Is drunky gonna make me?!" she yells back at you with a smirk, inching close to your face.

"Our boy may be winning, but the tenacity of the other two is remarkable my dear." Gramps says trying to lighten your mood.

"It is very impressive!" Mavis says with admiration in her voice.

"SEE!" you hiccup again and a big smile stretches across your face and you begin to laugh, almost as if nothing made you cry in the first place.

"Why are you laughing?" Bixslow asks, taking a gulp from your bottle.

"She likes someone to stroke his ego just as much as he does." Laxus says annoyed, but also sounding slightly amused. The fight hasn't changed much. Sting and Rogue still keep flying at Natsu only to be send backwards by a fury of fire each time. Sting lets out a howl after one particularly strong punch hits his abs. That must have tested Sting's patience. A big ball of magic lights up next to each of the Twin Dragons as they stand with their backs to each other. The orbs grow until they reach an unfathomably massive size.

"THEY'RE ATTEMPTING A UNISON RAID!" your grandpa yells, worry now visible on his face.

"STING, DON'T BE MEAN YOU ASSHOLE!" you yell down to the fight. "THAT'S MY FRIEND YOU'RE MESSING WITH!"

"Do you even know who's side your on?" Gray ask.

"Natsu's." you reply as if it's nothing.

"But-"

"Give it a rest, Fullbuster." your brother looks to him.

Just then the two balls of magic disappear from them, and two tiny ones show up in their palms. Think tiny balls mix together. Now everyone looks worried, especially since Natsu is just standing there as if it's nothing. All members of Fairy Tail begin put up their thumb and finger in the air. You however put up your middle finger.

"(Y/N)! Wrong finger!" Bixslow laughs.

"No it's not!" you defend. "FUCK YOU STING, I TOLD YOU NOT TO BE MEAN!"

Bixslow walks up and gives you your bottle back, earning a failed attempt at a growl from the laughing Laxus. "She just earned it man!"

"CANA TAKE YOUR BOTTLE BACK." Laxus demands and she obliges after you sneak a quick gulp with her help.

Down in the arena, Sting and Rogue yell their epic attack. "HOLY SHADOW DRAGON'S FLASH FANG!" send a roar of blacks shadows radiating holy white light towards Natsu. The flaming comrade of yours doesn't move. "Dragon Slayer Secret Art: Crimson Lotus - Exploding Flame Blade!" he yells and his flame morphs into a massive bird, flying right at the twin dragon's attack. Just then, the lacrimatrons go out, and the biggest wave of magic power you have ever witnessed is felt all around.

"WHY CAN'T WE SEE ANYTHING?!" you and Gray yell in sync. After what feels like eternity, but really is probably only a minute, the lacrimatrons are back on, showing 3 dragon slayers still standing. Not for long though. Rogue waves side to side a moment but then falls first, flat on his face. Sting drops to his knees right after, sitting a moment before falling onto his face as well.

"UNBELIEVABLE! THE LAST MAN STANDING IS NATSU DRAGNEEL! Fairy Tail is now in first place!" The speakers yell out and everyone in the crowds go insane. Even you have a smile on your face, but your eyes never leave the screens ahead of you, watching the fallen slayers.

"They'll be ok." Gramps assures you, gesturing for you to walk away with him. Everyone heads back to the guild for what is sure to be the biggest party your Inn in Crocus has ever seen.

The Inn did indeed hold the biggest party it had seen. You we're too drunk before it started to last through the whole thing, and went to bed before anyone else. You couldn't fall asleep though, thinking about Sting, worried about him.

Then you heard knocks on your window. Not again. He should be healing! Oh. Opening the window, you look confused. "Frosch! What are you doing here?"

"Rogue wants to speak to you!" the cute little exceed says with watery eyes. You lean out the window and notice the shadow dragon slayer looking up at you. Within a few seconds his shadows are next to you, bringing him into your room.

"I don't have much time to talk. I'm leaving Frosch with you. Take care of him!" he says through gritted teeth.

"WHAT?!" you yell thoroughly confused.

"We're being punished for our loss. Lector was taken away and won't be returned until we win. I can't let that happen to Frosch. Please take care of him for now." he said, disappearing back into his shadows. You look out the window, but he's gone.

"Cuddles?" you ask Frosch, causing the exceed to perk up a little. The both of you climb into bed, and you rub his head, now more worried that you were before.

"What the hell?" Laxus yells from your doorway, looking at the exceed in your arms. He barges in the room, looking around. "Where is he?!" 

"Where is who?" you say, yawning.

"STING!" he yells walking over to the window to look out.

"He's not here you idiot." you say, not letting Laxus phase you.

"What.. HIS QUIET FRIEND?!" Laxus yells back looking slightly horrified. You realize what Laxus thinks and begin to play with him a little.

"Oh, he left last night." you say, getting up with Frosch in your arms. "Good morning Fro!"

"(Y/N) WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" he yells, now causing Cana & Freed to enter your room.

"Calm down you idiot, he just dropped Frosch off to me." you say, putting Frosch down and grabbing your clothes for the day.

"Why?" Freed ask for his clearly distraught friend.

"Something about Sting's exceed being in trouble and protecting Frosch." you mumbled. "He said like 3 sentences and then left." you look to Frosch who looks scared and hug him. "But I love Frosch so much, I don't mind!"

"His exceed is in trouble?" Laxus questions.

"Yeah, I don't know how though. Frosch, maybe you can tell us more at breakfast?" you say looking to your furry friend, shooing everyone out so you two can get ready for the big day..
