As the group are on their way to get to the surface to meet up with the Spark, everyone introduces themselves to Edge as Y/N introduces herself next.

"The name's Y/N. What you did out there was amazing."

"It was nothing. Just doing what's right." Edge replied.

"Forgive me for asking, but who's that little black Spark of yours?"

A plump, black Spark with three shields behind it glances at her.

"His name is Exosphere. I found him along the way of my adventure."

"Well, I think he looks adorable and tough. You must be very brave to protect Edge."

Exosphere quickly looks away with a bashful look with a hint of pride. Edge smiles a little. Rabbid Y/N pops in their conversation.

"Hi, I'm Rabbid Y/N. Nice to meet you. I hope we can become great, great friends."

"I doubt it." Edge said, looking away.

"I'm curious, what exactly brought you to suddenly wanting to help us defeat Cursa as well as helping us and the Sparks?" asked Rabbid Y/N.

Edge went silent with a hint of tense of her posture but kept walking forward. Exosphere frowns and shakes his head at them to not ask her furthermore questions.

"Forgive my friend, it's just it's the first time we saw you and we can be very careful with trusting people." Y/N said.

"It's fine."

"Y-You can tell us later. Sorry about that." Rabbid Y/N said.

Edge said nothing, but just nods before they caught up with the group. Y/N and Rabbid Y/N looks at each other, then to Edge with worry and at the same time a little curious about her but will find out once the time is right. Along the way, they discover histories from the portraits on the cave wall as well as knowing about Augie's past while meeting Professor Backpack. They even did the puzzles, saving the Blue Toad from the Darkmess Puddle, and now they're onto their destination to the room full of pictures with missing pieces. They go over to the fountain full of water and suddenly the voice spoke to them.

"Psst! Restore the paintings!"

Shocked the thing could talk, they lean towards it and listen.

"I heard Augie painted himself in a corner again! Help him save face by solving the riddle!"

"The riddle?" Rabbid Y/N questioned.

"Ooh! A talking fountain! We SHOULD solve the riddle - It might grant us a wish!" Beep-0 said excitedly.

They started solving the riddle by placing the correct picture of the face that are missing on the paintings as they did on all four of them before the loud rumble was heard. It started to create a staircase for them to cross where they can see the way out. Suddenly, something bright is radiating off from the water fountain as it popped out to reveal a yellow Spark that rides a grey leaf with a hint of lightning bolt behind it. It gives them a smile before flying away to the opening.

Everyone quickly followed after it as they're now outside where the beach is still raining. Suddenly, they stopped to see a giant Darkmess puddle, giving them a guess that the yellow Spark they followed must've been captured and taken into the Darkmess. Without hesitation, they all went into the puddle. Finally, they're in the place where they can see a temple opening covered in Darkmess with Bob-ombs and Stooges guarding it.

"That poor Spark is being held captive behind that barrier! Let's tear it down so we can rescue it. Not our first Bob-omb rodeo. First, dash them. Second, pick them up. Third, throw them at the barrier. Repeat until desired result." Beep-0 said.

Mario never hesitates to dash at the Bob-omb and it starts turning red as it ticks. He quickly picks up and throws it towards the Stooge that was hiding behind the pillar, destroying it. Rabbid Mario dashes at another Bob-omb and throws it at the Darkmess Gate as it explodes, weakening it.

"We've gotta need more than that." Y/N said, looking at the Bob-ombs.

Luigi dashes another Bob-omb and carries it and throws it at the darkmess again. Y/N notices the Darkmess Portals and suddenly gets an idea. As soon as they use up almost all of Bob-ombs, more Stooges appear along with the Bob-ombs. Y/N dashes all three of the Bob-ombs as they start ticking. She nods to Mario, Luigi, and Rabbid Mario to go grab them and throw them towards the darkmess gate at the same time. Getting where she was going, they all did as they were told and then the darkmess was gone as soon as all the explosions hit it. They all went through the gate where they can see the yellow Spark safe and sound.

"Puddles used to be fun to play in, you know? I'm Electrodash. Thanks for rescuing me! Let me get my second wind and we'll get going!"

"Welcome to the team, Electrodash." Rabbid Luigi smiled.

Once everyone is out of the temple, they dealt with more Darkmess Puddles after defeating almost all enemies and helping out defeating the enemies for the citizens and having more Sparks like Reflector they met right after arriving at Bacon Beach and Screech from Beacon Beach Secret Zone portal they found. They're now by Beacon Town's lighthouse where it's covered with Darkmess. The same cream-colored Spark was there waiting for them. And when it sees them, it flies up to the same yellow star from before and goes through it, creating a light. The Spark then flies out once it's on and looks at them.

"Sorry I can't do more. I'm no good at fighting like you are! Until we meet again! Bye bye!"

Before it flies away, Y/N quickly stopped it.

"Wait!"

The Spark turns to her curiously.

"Hm??"

"What's your name?"

The Spark smiles and flies over to Y/N and gives her a little tap on her head with a ball of light.

"I'm Twinkle!"

Y/N smiles back and pats its head.

"I'm Y/N. See you soon."

Twinkle nodded and flew off. They now went inside the lighthouse, only to be met with a giant Darkmess Eye and they immediately acted when they saw a Flaming Stooge and dashed it, sending them to another dimension as it's filled with Flaming Stooges and one Wildclaw, only it's large and not like a giant. Just then, a turquoise Spark made of water flies over to them.

"SO glad you're here! If you win this battle, I get to join you Heroes and leave here forever. I'm Aquanox, by the way!" Aquanox said. "Watch the Flamin' Stooges! Their Burn effect can light multiple Heroes on fire if they're too close together, forcing you to scatter! If you come into contact with someone else while on fire, THEY'LL catch fire too! Tough luck, but that's fire for you."

"Well, they don't know what's coming for them." Rabbid Y/N smirked, bringing out her beam pistol.

Y/N nodded to Luigi, Rabbid Luigi, and Edge to fight those Flaming Stooges while they deal with Wildclaw and some Stooges. They nodded and went after the Flaming Stooges as Edge throws her Flying Blade at the three with Luigi shooting out his arrows and Rabbid Luigi throwing his disc, since they each possess abilities to weaken foes whilst doing excellent ranged damage. Y/N dodges the claw of Wildclaw and Rabbid Y/N and Rabbid Mario helps by dashing at it. She nods to them that she can handle this one. They were hesitant before they eventually help out the rest to make sure no Darkmess Portals comes out. Y/N gestures for Wildclaw to come at her. Aquanox was curious on what's going to happen and watches on from the safe sidelines.

Wildclaw doesn't even finish the step as Y/N whirls him around and throws him to the floor pinning his arm behind him. She throws Wildclaw around again. Y/N kicks Wildclaw repeatedly in the face. She throws him to the floor again and grips him by the ears. Aquanox laughs throughout the whole fight. Rabbid Peach and Edge were amazed with her fighting skills while Mario and Luigi look so proud of her.

"You give up?" Y/N asked.

Wildclaw just growls at her in response as if saying he'll never quit. With a sigh, Y/N flings Wildclaw into the air and then leaps at him with a flying kick. Wildclaw crashes out of the building they're standing on and falls into the ground, disappearing into dust. As soon as all the enemies are down, they're now back inside the lighthouse. Peach grabs the egg and throws it at the Darkmess Eye, destroying it and creating a path for them to walk up the stairs. They discover another Darkmess and Eye and does the same thing, leaving it to reveal a slot for a cube to be placed. They drag the nearby crate in an upside-down L-shape so that it covers the glowing blue button on the ground, giving them a cube to slot into the space in the Darkmess puddle, allowing them to progress up the stairs to the next level. They bump into another Flaming Stooge, taking them into another battle with four enemies to defeat - three Bob-ombs and one Wildclaw. It didn't take long for them to defeat them before heading up to the next level as they throw another glowing egg at the Darkmess Eye blocking their path, and then move the crate, retrieve the cube, and place it into the slot as before to progress to the final level as they made it up to the top of the lighthouse where they can see the Darkmess Tentacles.

With determination, they head into the tentacles. They find themselves in the place that look like a Darkmess Volcano surrounded by lava as it's covered with many Darkmess Eyes, which grossed Rabbid Peach and Rabbid Y/N out. A plump, green Spark with green slime dripping from the bottom half of its body comes out and goes over to Beep-0.

"PLEASE, you've got to win this battle! I can't leave here with you unless you do!"

"Poor Spark! We WILL win your freedom! Though it may take a few attempts. That's quite a battlefield."

"Psst! If you destroy the Eyes of Darkmess on the pyre, it'll light on fire!"

"Aha! And since the Darkmess Dimension and our world are connected, the lighthouse on Beacon Beach will light up, too!"

"Don't worry. We got this! Thanks for the tip, er..." Rabbid Y/N started.

"Toxiquake! At your service!"

"Cool name!"

Y/N looks over at all the eyes of darkmess as Mario dashes at the Bob-ombs and throws it at three of the eyes, exploding them.

Now you'll begin the main boss battle, and for this, you'll want to shoot down all of the Darkmess Tentacle Eyes. Seeing that there are eleven of them and Mario just defeated three of them, leaving them eight of the eyes left. She glances at their weapons and suddenly her eyes lit up and she turns to the group.

"I've got an idea on how we can easily take down all of the eyes at once! Luigi, Rabbid Luigi, you're with me. Everyone, take down those enemies that comes in our way."

They nodded, knowing Y/N is smart to help with battlegrounds. Y/N made sure they're protected in case they get hit as she uses Exosphere. Once her and the two different Luigis are in front of each eye, Y/N's dual dark sabers gets thrown like a boomerang and slashes through all four eyes, Luigi's arrow deals devastating damage from afar as it hits one, and Rabbid Luigi's Discruptor can hit up to three eyeballs at once. As soon as all the eyes are gone and defeated, another Purified Darkmess Energy Crystal was seen floating as Y/N did her victory move by doing a Jedi Landing before catching the crystal.

When everyone is out from the Darkmess, Mario raises his hand to feel less water drops as the rain slow down and the grey clouds starts to disappear, revealing a ray of light shining down on Beacon Beach. Everyone looked over from the balcony as the Beacon Town citizens comes out of their hiding and are looking happy that the rainstorm is now over. Rabbids closed their umbrellas they're no longer going use and packed up, well except one just tossed it away and walked off without care. One of the rabbid walks out of the house to see a bright day and smiles but gets knocked out by the umbrella that was thrown earlier.

Another rabbid that was holding the fish sees the grey clouds no longer here and throws it back inside the pond, and Rabbid DJ was getting ready to play as he blows out the dusts on his music before stretching. Beacon Beach is restored to how it originally was. At that moment, Augie jumped up the balcony near the group they're standing in. Rabbid Mario jumped in surprise.

"Mama Mia! How can you jump so high? You do thigh workouts - eh?"

"I'm just stoked that the SUN IS OUT, and BEACON BEACH IS BACK, BABY!" Augie said happily before stopping to see a giant Darkmess Puddle.

"Um... Well, almost... When you popped that last Tentacle, it left behind some nasty Darkmess Puddle. Oh, boy!" he said, remembering something important. "Also... there's somethin' I shoulda told you. It's about Cursa's ringleaders - the Spark Hunters. They came to be before you got here."

"What did they do?" Y/N asked, eyes narrowed.

"They said if I didn't hand over all the Sparks here, they'd 'shred everyone into pizza topping' - my phrase, not theirs."

Everyone is shocked, except Edge, Rabbid Y/N, and Y/N, that they'll threaten to hurt anyone that doesn't hand over the Sparks. They must be worse than the other enemies they've faced and will be careful.

"Then we will save every Spark we can find - here, and elsewhere. The Spark Hunters grievances will be with us." Beep-0 said with determination.

"Be careful! There's at least three of them, and they're real dangerous. If they find out I told you-"

Jeanie appeared and interrupted Augie's worry.

"Then they will answer to all of us, for although we have enough purified Darkmess Energy to travel to Pristine Peaks, those Warp Tunnels go both ways. We can return here anytime, whenever you need us."

Augie chuckled fondly and wiped a tear from his eye.

"There's a word where I come from - 'Kooloowka', it means 'chosen family'. You're my Kooloowka now!"

"Aww! Augie!" Y/N cooed and hugged him along with Rabbid Y/N while forcing Rabbid Peach to join in, making Augie smile and gently patted their heads.

Once they're out from the lighthouse, they now have to deal with the Darkmess Puddle before leaving. They made to the puddle as everyone look. Suddenly, Rabbid Mario steps up and flexes his muscles.

"Relax! I got this! Everyone, take a break! Soak up some sun! Rabbid Mario will take it from here! I INSIST!"

Edge rolls her eyes at his confidence.

"That sounds nice, but Darkmess Puddles are AT LEAST as dangerous as swimming, right? And you should never swim alone, right?" Beep-0 said worriedly.

Peach comes over.

"Princess - mind 'tagging along'? Your skill at protecting teammates could be useful - not that you'll need it, Rabbid Mario!"

Rabbid Mario eventually nodded and he and Peach jumps into the Darkmess Puddle.

"Be careful, you two." Y/N said, looking to where they have gone.

As they wait for them to come back, Y/N suddenly felt a buzz coming from her pocket. Confused, she grabbed it out to reveal her phone. She mentally smacked herself on the head, forgetting she has her phone as it was given by Bowser for them to come in contact with each other and the Koopalings. She sees the ID and was surprised to see who's calling her.

"Bowser Junior?"

Y/N goes over to hide away from the group and answers the phone.

"Hey, Miss Y/N!" Bowser Junior said happily through the phone.

"Hey, BJ! What are you calling me for? I'm kinda busy with saving the world, you know."

"Yeah, I know. I wanted to know if uh... you're okay."

"I'm fine, BJ. I can take care of myself. It's cute that you're concerned for me."

"Yeah, yeah, but not that. I mean... is it okay if we... live in your house once in a while?"

"Oh, sure - Wait. What do you mean by 'we'?" Y/N raised her eyebrow.

Bowser Junior could be heard chuckling nervously.

"Uh... Me and my... brothers and a sister...."

"...You're not messing up my house, aren't you? And why are you in my house?"

In Y/N's house, Bowser Junior looks around the house to see the vacuum cleaner as Roy was looking at the hole that sucks in crumbs and other junks.

"Something went wrong with our kingdom, and dad brought us here to stay safe. Don't know why. And there's not that much mess. Well, except Roy vacuumed up Ludwig."

"Ludwig." Roy called.

"Miss Y/N! Help!" Ludwig called from the vacuum cleaner.

"What?!" Y/N exclaimed in shock, getting some attention from the group.

"Well, at least it wasn't the garbage disposal." Bowser Junior assured her.

Larry comes over with worry and looks at the hole.

"Just stay calm."

"Wait, I wouldn't get close if I were y--"

It was too late as Larry gets sucked into the vacuum cleaner with Ludwig, screaming.

"Larry!" Roy called.

"And there goes Larry."

"What about the rest of your siblings?" Y/N asked worriedly.

"They're okay. They're just uh... reading." Bowser Junior lied nervously, looking to see them reading her diary and other books while laughing.

"'Reading', you say? What are they reading?"

"N-Nothing much! Don't you worry! Hehe... But uh, sorry, Miss Y/N? Uh, quick question."

He glances over to the flooded bathtub before looking back at his phone.

"H-How do you feel about an indoor pool?"

"Look, if you flood my house and look into my secrets, you and your siblings are dead and so grounded once I notify your father!! Capisce?" Y/N whisper shouted.

"Capisce..." Bowser Junior gulped.

When she hangs up, she jumps to see her friends looking at her oddly with Rabbid Mario and Peach as they have returned from their battle.

"Sorry, just uh... talking to the kids." she said nervously.

"Kids, huh?" Mario raised his eyebrow suspiciously.

"What do you mean by flood the house? Is everything alright?" Peach asked worriedly.

"I-It's fine! It's fine! Now that everyone is here, w-we should all take a break! Come on!"

Y/N speed walked past them, leaving them confused while Mario and Luigi are suspicious with her behavior. Though they do need a break from all that fight as they know that she's right. They go over to the beach where the Rabbids are relaxing beneath the umbrella while some are swimming. They go over to Rabbid DJ named DJ Cheep Tuna as he's between the two giant speakers.

"Bleep sheep, MIDI hippies, demo scene shapers, and chiptune makers!" he said. "I got bad news. BOTH albums with my polychronic pocket sonnets on 'em are MISSING! If you want to get tripped, you gotta find 'em for me. May your waves always be triangle!"

They immediately find the discs as Mario finds one by the hayfield area while Peach finds another by the beach while avoiding Bob-ombs they don't want to deal with. Once they gave him the discs, DJ Cheep Tuna starts playing the music. Everyone started a beach party as they began to dance to the beat. Rabbid Peach dancing like a drama queen, Rabbid Y/N dancing in anime style, Rabbid Luigi and Luigi just having fun dancing, Mario and Peach dancing like a couple, and Y/N dancing like a pro.

Rabbid Mario was dancing along and glance at Edge, who's leaning against her sword with an unamused look. He gestures her to come and try dancing with him, only to get a blink as a response with a hint of intense stare. Rabbid Mario stopped dancing and blinked, looking a bit defeated and confused on what did he do wrong. Y/N noticed that and giggled, knowing he will try and get her attention next time.

Just as things were going well, one of the speakers suddenly started going haywire as the songs get glitchy. DJ Cheep Tuna tried to get the music back on only for the speaker to move on its own as it hops around the beach before sinking as the Darkmess started spreading, creating a puddle. All the Rabbid run for their lives, screaming as DJ Cheep Tuna climbs up to another speaker that wasn't affected by the darkmess to avoid it.

Knowing this is trouble, the heroes immediately went into the puddle into the darkmess dimension as they found themselves in a beach area surrounded by the ocean with Flaming Stooges and Wildclaws on it. There are twelve Darkmess Eyes sprouting on towers at the battlefield's far ends. Each tower has multiple eyes, and they grow at such an angle that you can't hit them all at once - unless you have the right weapons. Y/N began her thinking as she looks at each of the towers of the eyes until she made up her mind. She gestures Rabbid Luigi, Peach, and Mario to go and destroy the Darkmess Eyes while they take care of the rest of the enemies. They nodded and each take down the eyes one by one as Rabbid Luigi's Discruptor take out multiple Darkmess Eyes in one turn, releasing the giant speaker that was being covered. He flinches to see two Wildclaws are closing in on his direction and quickly activate Aquanox and use the Splash-powered Discruptor to fend them off as they are backed away. Y/N helps by using her super butterfly power to blast them off as they get blown to bits.

Peach steadied her Boom-Brella to get a good aim at all the eyes of the darkmess before shooting it, making a big explosion and releasing the giant speaker. Now to the last tower as Mario shoots two Darkmess Eyes in one turn with his dual slinger. He just needs to take out two more when he sees Wildclaws closing in while Rabbid Peach was dealing with Flaming Stooges with her three rockets she's shooting and Edge and Rabbid Y/N fighting against another Wildclaw that came out from the portal as Luigi quickly destroys it with his arrow.

Mario glances at Toxiquake and nods, activating him and using Ooze Super Effect at Wildclaws to gradually reduce their health every turn as they disappeared. He carefully takes aim on two of the eyes before finally shooting them, freeing the last speaker.

"Oh, yeah!" Mario cheered.

Their mission is completed.

As soon as they're out of the dimension, they're back at Beacon Beach and noticed there aren't any signs of the Darkmess Puddles, meaning they're all gone. DJ Cheep Tuna looks happy that his speaker is back to normal and okay.

"Loop snoops, oscillator gators, microsound hounds, and 8-bit clowns - Cheep Tuna has the VIBEZ to take y'all into OVERDRIVE!"

With that, he starts playing the music again as the rabbids are back to get back to partying. They're not the only one as those Cheep Cheeps are above the surface of the ocean and started dancing to the music they heard. They jump in and out of the water to do a flip before diving back into the water and jumping in and out again. Then something blue bursts out and surfs through the jumping fishes before flying over to the beach, revealing it to be a blue Spark that rides a leaf. It sees them and grins. Beep-0 looks thrilled to see another Spark and how it moves.

"AMAZING! HAHAHAHA!"

"THANKS! I CALL THIS ONE 'FISH N' CHIPS'! LOTS OF WET PULSE MELO-"

Beep-0 cuts DJ Cheep Tuna off.

"I MEANT THE SPARK!"

"YEAH, A SPARK OF NOSTALGIA IS NORMAL!"

Y/N and Rabbid Y/N snickered as Beep-0 tried to correct him.

"NO, NO! I MEANT THE- YOU KNOW WHAT? NEVERMIND - WE'RE JUST GONNA GO."

With that, they made sure none of the Darkmess Puddles are around with a few of buying some things for their next adventure, they're now heading towards the ship as they went up the hill and stops to see Augie there. He smiles to see them.

"Hey - I want you to know that I'm behind you one-hundred percent in this brouhaha against Cursa."

"Why, thank you Augie! That is VERY-" Beep-0 started but was cut off by him.

"Right after this six-day weekend is over, I REALLY need some 'Augie Time' to decompress."

"Decompress from what?"

But Augie just said nothing and waves them goodbye.

"See you later, Augie!" Y/N waved back.

Then all the Heroes went inside and take off to the next planet to take, Pristine Peak.
