POV: Y/n

I am Y/n L/n, and I am one of the best Mario Kart players in the world. I'm known for being the first in the world to complete N64 Rainbow Road without falling off at 200cc on the Switch's mini screen and scoring a perfect 720 in the Gauntlet, a little setting I made up, 200cc VS Race, no teams, normal items, hard AI, all vehicles, random tracks, 48 races. A task that took almost a year to complete without failing. On the second to last attempt I was rounding the final turn of Ice Ice Outpost as Dry Bowser sped past me with a mushroom, beating my by less than a tenth of a second.

Getting back on track [pun intended] one day over the summer, I got a package from Nintendo, or an affiliate at least, claiming to have a code for a new project for me to test. When I got back to my room, I turned on my With and pulled up the Nintendo E-shop. Going down to the final option, I inserted the code MKRT-2OI9-1O03-ELMR. As I confirmed the code the fan on my Switch revved up and my wireless BOTW controller started to vibrate so hard that I had to drop it on my bed. "Y/n," A voice from my TV said as a silhouette appeared on the screen, "you have been selected as the sole test player of the new MARIO KART; Racers!" The silhouette then snapped as a bright light was projected into my face from my TV.

"Is he awake?" A feminine voiced with a British accent asked as I weakly opened my eyes. "I'm up." I said looking around with a blur as I didn't have on my glasses. "Where are my glasses?" "Here." Came a raspy voice as I was handed my glasses by a man in red. "Thanks," I said putting on my glasses, seeing that I was surrounded by video game characters, with Dr. Eggman being the one who handed me my glasses.
