Life on the Ice (Season 2 Premiere)

Daisy's POV

"Are you sure you should be doing this?" Luigi asks me as I skate around at our local ice rink.

"I'll be fine. I need to get back into shape to be able to go to the next Olympics."

"But by the time the next Olympics shows up, you might be too old compared to your competition."

Then I stopped at my tracks.

"What did you just say?" I stared at him, Willow strapped to his chest.

"I'm just concerned, that's all. Don't I have a right to be concerned?"

"Of course you do, sweetie. But don't ever tell this princess what she can and cannot do. Besides, I checked with my doctor and he said I'll be okay to go back to dancing and skating again." I said as I skated closer to my husband.

"I know. But you know how I am." Then I smiled.

"Yeah, I know. Hopefully Willow never becomes as paronoid as you when she grows up." I said as I took Willow out of her carrier and held her in my arms.

"Are you done practicing today, Daisy?"

"Yeah. We should get back home." I said as I handed Willow back to Luigi. I then skated over to the door to the rink and went into the locker room to change my shoes.

As I walked back out I could hear Luigi talk to Willow.

"You enjoyed watching mommy, huh?" He said to Willow and she giggled.

"Your mommy loves to skate and dance. Maybe one day she will teach you."

Then I met back up with Luigi and Willow and we started heading home. It was almost spring in the city and we couldn't wait.

Peach's POV

I was scrolling through my feed on my phone and kept seeing baby pictures. Babies everywhere...

I was just walking back home from my job at the local diner. Yes, I did get a job, but mainly to contribute since Daisy doesn't work and she is a stay at home mom. Honestly I thought Daisy would get a job, but she does get prize money for every competition she enters, So she can most of the time get away with not working. The only job she has is helping being the secretary for the boys' plumbing shop so, she does have a job.

Then I had to cross the street and saw a couple with a baby.

Babies are everywhere!

I kept walking and finally arrived to the apartment building.

"Good afternoon, Peach. How are you?" The doorman said.

"Good. Is it normal to see all these babies?"

"Why?"

"Everywhere I turn I find a baby!"

"Well it's normal to see children. It's the circle of life."

"But ever since Daisy had Willow, I feel like I see babies everywhere!"

"That's because your senses are now more in tune with looking and finding that certain thing. Just like licence plates, when you go somewhere and notice them, the next time you look at licence plate you may notice it's from that place you visited." Mr. Williams said as he folded up his paper.

"I guess you are right. Nice to talk to you, Mr. Williams."

"Its always nice to have some conversation once in awhile." He said as he tipped his hat.

I hopped into the elevator and rode it to the top floor. I then went right to the apartment and opened the door.

Daisy was busy cooking while Willow, Luigi, and Mario were watching cartoons. They were watching those cartoons where the roadrunner was running away from the  coyote. So childish.

"Hey, Peachy! How was work?" Daisy said as she wiped the flour from her hands.

"Good. I have been getting more and more tips. I think I'm getting the hang of waitressing."

"Do you enjoy it?"

"Yeah. I get to do some good and I help you with Willow."

"Peach, I've told you before, you don't have to. Luigi makes enough to support us. You should be saving your money for your future endeavors."

"But Willow is the future. Besides, she is my niece! I want to treat her like the little princess she deserves to be." Daisy laughed lightly.

"Alright. I'm not stopping you. But eventually she needs discipline, like a princess."

"But I'm the aunt, I don't need to instill that. I am like a grandma, I will spoil her rotten."

"She already has a grandma that does that. Mama Mario has been sending Willow packages filled with new toys, home maid blankets, and new outfits." Daisy said as she lowered the pasta into the water.

"Still, I'm her Aunty Peachy!"

"And she loves you." And I went over to pick up Willow from between the boys.

"I'm barrowing her for a bit." Mario and Luigi nodded.

"Want to play a game?" Mario asked

"Of course! This time I'll beat you in golf." Luigi said as they started up the Wii.

I returned to my seat and I held Willow in my arms.

"I couldn't wait to have you in my arms again, Willow. I was seeing babies everywhere today. Maybe it's a sign." I said and she giggled.

"Maybe it is, Peach. But be careful what you wish for. Having a baby is hard work." Daisy said as she checked on the sauce.

"But it looks so, interesting. Besides, weren't you happy to have Willow?"

"Of course. It was an experience, but I won't have another for at lease five years. I missed a lot if things when I was having her." Daisy said as she took the pasta out of the water.

"Also, Luigi worried about me and Willow than myself." She chuckled and I smiled.

"What if I had a baby?"

"I feel like you would be a good mother."

"That's it?"

"What else am I suppose to say? I can't tell the future." And then I looked at Willow.

"What would you say to a cousin?" And she just smiled and gurgled.

"Is that a yes?"

"Maybe, Peach. I've been trying to study her language and it's tough sometimes." Daisy said and she started plating her pasta.

"Would you possibly start feeding Willow for me please? After I am done plating I can take Willow off your hands."

"Of course!" And I got a bottle from the the water she warmed the bottle.

"Here comes the bottle, Willow!"
