Chapter 8 Contents?
Marinette struggles within herself as to what is the right thing to do now. She is not sure what the envelope could hold within it. It is not as if it really matters, right? For all, she knows Chat wants her to keep it a secret. She thinks, back to the sad look he gave her and gasp.
Chat on the other hand sits on her roof. He listens to see if she will say anything that will help him know if she has even an ounce of love for him. He does not hear her say a word. He sighs, as he slowly lands on her balcony once more. He lays low to the ground.
Marinette looks around her. She sees she is alone as usual. Why should she be surprised now that Alya has her own place way across town and is with Nino a lot too? She thinks, well at least my best friend gets to have her happy ending. She smiles. She attempts to focus on anything and everything, but the mysterious envelope.
An hour later, Marinette sees it on her desk and rips it open. She does not hear a sound. She reaches inside and pulls out a small photo. She looks at it with surprise! She almost drops it! It is a photo of her and Chat from years ago! She does not know how he could have this when there is no way she was ever close enough to him for this to happen.
She reaches inside it again and this time she pulls out a small box. She opens the box and sees a bracelet. Next to the bracelet is a necklace. Both are in the shape of a black cat. She thinks it ironic as it was left her by Chat Noir!
Marinette pulls out a letter last! She wonders to whom is the letter meant for anyway? She unfolds it. She reads on then suddenly drops the paper, screams, and passes out. She lays still, unconscious even on the floor to her room. The look on her face is one of fear, sadness, and confusion.
For those who wonder what the letter says, the next chapter will explain all this, okay! Meanwhile, Marinette just lays unconscious on the floor. Chat sees her faint. He shakes his head. He thinks, perhaps it was to much for her! He leaps away. He runs to the back door, and kicks it open. He runs upstairs to her room.
Once inside, Chat plants a small kiss on her forehead and whispers, "Purincess, wake up! Wake up! I know you do not love me, but you still need to wake up!" He feels her stir a little. He smiles a weak smile as she comes too.
"Ch-Chat, I am so cold! I need a blanket," Marinette says. She sneezes, and coughs some.
"Princess, you have a cold! Do not worry, I will take good of you! I promise!" Chat Noir says. He will not take no for an answer. He fixes her a glass of orange juice. He sets it down on the coaster not far from where she now sits up.
Chat takes her temperature and breathes a sigh of relief. He is glad to see she does not have a fever. He does think it stinks that she has a cold. He takes a deep breath and thinks, I know my heartbreaks, but I cannot just leave her.
"Chat, I am sorry. I never meant too...A-Achoo! Achoo! Achoo!" Marinette tries to talk but sneezes again mid-sentence.
"Shh lets not worry about now. We should just focus on getting you better," Chat says. He leaves the room.
Marinette wonders, where did he go? She cannot help but think that perhaps she has not been that great of a friend to Chat after all. She continues to sneeze! She coughs afterward!
A few minutes later, Chat finishes making the soup, grabs up some crackers, turns off the stove, and grabs up a blanket. He carries the things up to Marinette. He places the blanket gently over her. He puts the tray with the soup, crackers, and a cup of water on her lap.
"Here, try to eat a little soup!" Chat says.
Marinette eats some of the soup. Chat sits close by without another word. Marinette sees him stare at her and she blushes a small hue of pink. She hopes he does not notice. She finishes half the soup and eats a few crackers. She drinks the water, then the last drop of orange juice.
"Thanks, for taking such good ca...Achoo! Achoo! Achoo! care of me, Chat!" Marinette tells him.
"Bless, you, princess!"Chat Noir tells her. He tries to stand up to leave but finds something grab his arm.
Chat looks up to see Marinette's hand on his arm. He looks at her, and says, "Princess, let go! I have to leave now."
"No!" She pouts,
"Haha, do not worry, I will come back later!"Chat Noir tells her.
Marinette pulls him down. She laughs when he gasps as he lands upside down next to her.
Chat flips over. He sits beside her. Chat remarks, "Goodness, if you want me to keep you company longer then why did you not just say so? "
"Chat, please stay!" Marinette says softly. She yawns. Soon, she drifts off into sleep. Chat smiles, he gently touches her left cheek with his hand. He grins! He thinks, you make me love you more every time I see you! He says, "Purincess, hope you sleep well." He yawns right after this, and a few moments later joins her in sleep.
Marinette lays her head down on Chat's shoulder. She does not realize she even did this since she is still asleep. Chat does not notice either but remains asleep. All appears to be peaceful for them both.
Alya comes by Marinette's and does not get an answer, she sees the damage to the back door. She checks on Marinette. She grins when she sees Marichat close together. She snaps a quick photo. She goes back downstairs, fixes the door with a repair kit, then goes back to her place.
