Marinette smiles at him. She sees him blush and she blushes in return. She thinks, man he is so cute!

             "Chat, I know you put up a fuss.  I assure you though the wound is good as new and..." Marinette says.

             "Marinette, why must you be so beautiful? It was a bother to me to see that man here. Why I thought he would kill you!" Chat says.

           "Oh, Chat!  Do not be silly!  I admit I was afraid, but  I did manage to lift the pot and slam it over his head." Marinette says.

          "Yes, and you are so kind to me." Chat replies.

          Marinette takes a look around the room. She sees a pendant in the shape of a cat. It happens to be black. She thinks it ironic as it was a gift her father once gave her mother in the past.  She never did figure out the back store to it though.  She sighs as she recalls he was to tell her all about it after their trip.

       "Here, Take It!" Marinette says, as she hands the pendant to Chat. She knows he might not be much for jewelry,but decides it is about time she got rid of that silly thing.

      "For me, princess?" Chat ask with wonder in his eyes. He cannot help,but think it strange she should give him a gift. It is not like she owes him anything.  If anything he should owe her for saving his life.

      Marinette answers, "Yes, it use to be my mother's,but I think it suits you." 

      Chat frowns, "I cannot take it. It would not be right."

      Marinette says, "Please, Chat!  I want you to have it!"

     Chat smiles, and says, "Well, in that case, I will be happy to keep it."  He feels awkward that he has nothing to offer her in return.

     Marinette can seem him make a funny face. She does wonder if this means the pain is greater than he will admit in the area where he was wounded. She sure hopes not!  She hates to think she did a sloppy job to help him!  She would just die if he were to get an infection and pass away from it.   Wait, just a minute, she thinks, since when has she been this into him?  She blushes.

    Chat sees her blush. He smiles,but wonders, what brought that on anyway?  He does not see anyone else to make her feel this way.  He thinks, does this mean she?  Nah, he reasons, there is no way that is even true.

     Marinette reaches up and gently twirls his hair with her fingers. She does not notice when he purrs. She pays no attention as he rest his head on her chest. She also cannot see the happy look he has on his face as he falls asleep so close to her.

   Chat sleeps.  As he rest, he dreams his princess and him are on a date!  He gives her a lovely necklace with a ladybug pendant on it. He has no ideas why he thought of this when he thought of her, but he did. He also,gave her a bracelet to match the necklace, and a card that reads Marinette you remind me of a ladybug!  Both seem to bring good to those who are around them!  Both are lovely and both make me happy!  I wish you would do me the honors and be my bride!    Marinette responds in the dream with a gasp, opens the small box he holds in his hands while on one knee, sees the lovely ladybug ring with a diamond in the center, and agrees to marry him.

    Chat remains at peace as he sleeps close to his princess!  He has no idea that the dream is not real. For him, it might as well have been real since it feels so right and he does love her so very much!  However, he knows that she does not really love him!  

    Marinette finally catches on he has fallen asleep. She blushes at his closeness. She mutters, "Ch-Chat, my dear kitty, what is it that makes you think that I do not care!  I do!  I really do! Please, do not ever leave me again!"
