Little choice though young and nervous.
Fourteen and a children's nurse
A few more coins for granny's purse

So fourteen and a 'grown up' now,
finally free of furrowed brow.
She loves her job, she loves the kids
Margaret feels cut out for this.
Treated better than at home
She's valued but is still alone.
No ones looking out for her
Should any trouble now occur.
But thankfully our Margaret's safe
Better times for her, poor waif.
She loves her job, she's not fed up
But slowly now she's growing up.
