1948, Malayan Emergency

So Margaret now's an army wife
She quickly learns no easy life.
For we all know what a soldier's for
And before too long Will's off to war.
But thankfully she's no longer alone
By marrying Will her family's grown.
Will you should know was one of eight
So now she's a family, good to relate.
And best of all her mother in law
My 'Granny Green' who she'll adore.
Has taken to her son's young bride
And is there to help, be at her side.
So Will's away; he's in Malaya
But now there's someone standing by her.
