Chapter Five

"I wouldn't pull the trigger if I were you." Marcia locked eyes with Christian as she swallowed back. She wanted to pull that trigger, but even so, something seemed to be holding her back from doing so.

"It seems that you aren't brave enough to hurt your fiancée." She spoke back to him. Christian smirked as Marcia glared at him.

"True, I don't want to break you just yet." He slowly put his gun down, without breaking eye contact with Marcia. She knew this man was crazy enough to pull the trigger, by why didn't he pull it? It's not like he really cared about her or anything like that.

Christian took a step back to give each other some room. "I have a meeting to attend to, bye sweetheart." Before Marcia could react, he was already out the door with the two of his men following closely behind him.

Marcia sighed and took a deep breath as she put her gun down. She heard as someone cleared their throat. She turned her head to see Liam standing by the entrance of the living room. "What was that about?" He asked her.

Marcia shook her head as in telling him not to worry about it. Her problems were her own, she knew not to rely on anyone when it came to stuff like this. That including Liam who she trusted more than anyone at the moment.

Marcia quickly snatched a glass bottle of scotch before quickly leaving the living room. She heard as Liam followed closely behind her. She entered her room with Liam right behind her. "I'm tired, I'm tired of having to see him." Marcia started to complain, mostly to herself.

"I hate him." Liam heard as she whispered. She opened the glass bottle of scotch in her hand and took a big gulp out of it. Marcia then heard as someone cleared their throat. She closed her eyes as she tried to calm herself to try to make her anger go away.

"Liam, leave us." She ordered. Liam stood still without moving for a few seconds before finally leaving. When she heard the door closed, to turned to see Damon sitting on the edge of her bed. His hair was freshly wet, indicating that he had just taken a shower. He was wearing a pair of jeans without a shirt.

Marcia's eyes slowly gazed down his perfectly strong body. She had never seen such a perfectly well made man in her life. Her eyes finally meet his, she could see every emotion trying to hide behind his eyes. The emotion of fear was the strongest one.

"Are you scared?" Marcia whispered out without thinking. Damon looked away from her as he stood up from her bed. "Does that matter? It's not like you're going to let me go anyway." He replied to her. Marcia watched as he started to walk around her room to curiously look at all the things that she had.

But sadly, all she had was a nightstand, a bed, and a large dark table where she usually laid her weapons on. "Your room is as empty as your heart." Damon spoke as he stopped in front of the nightstand. He picked up a small black blade that was laying there.

Marcia knew he was right about that. She couldn't bring herself to feel any real emotions in her heart besides the ones she had for the man in her room.

She wasn't one to pity anyone, much less care about someone dying. In fact, she enjoyed causing others pain. Watching people suffer was the light to her day.

"You leave this blade here like I wouldn't use it to kill you." Damon's back was facing her, she could see that Damon was playing with the blade in his hand.

"I know you wouldn't hurt me." Damon turned around, his eyes quickly found hers. "You love me." She said. Damon watched her before putting the sharp blade back on the nightstand.

"What makes you think that?" He asked. Marcia slowly started to walk towards him as she spoke. "If you didn't love me, you wouldn't of had made that promise to me." She stopped to stand a few inches away from him.

Their eyes were locked together. "Have you completed your goal?" Marcia's eyes widen, why would he bring that up now? She thought to herself.

"I'm working on it." As Marcia got closer to Damon, she started to reach for a kiss. Damon turned away from her, rejecting her. "Stop playing." He told her.

"Complete your goal and let me go." Marcia felt like her heart was just stabbed by a knife as he rejected her from kissing him.

"Why am I even here?" He angrily turned to face her again. "I don't work for you!" He shouted at her. The anger building up inside of that man was slowly being released. Damon felt that the woman standing in front of him was someone that he didn't know anymore.

After losing complete contact with her, she suddenly kidnapped him out of the blue. He knew that him being kidnapped would only cause her trouble, but why did she do it? Why would she go as far as to cause her own father trouble?

"You're selfish, you don't care about anyone but yourself!" Marcia stayed quiet as she let Damon say everything that he needed to say.

"You're not the same girl that I had met those years ago. You're not the Marcia that I knew." He spoke to her.

"You're- you're a monster. You kill innocent people." Hearing that from him was like a stab to the stomach. Marcia felt her eyes fill up with tears, the man standing in front of her was the only man that she'll ever let speak to her like that.

And she hated it, she hated the fact that everything that came out of his mouth was nothing but the truth. She hated that for some reason, but yet she'll let this man tell her whatever he wanted.

"What happened to you?" He whispered as he saw Marcia's eyes fill up with tears.

Marcia turned away from him without answering him. She walked towards the door and slowly pulled it open. "I got lost on the way." She whispered loud enough for Damon to hear.

She stepped out and closed the door behind her. Liam stood against the wall in front of her, he was resting against the wall with his eyes on the ground.

He looked up to see Marcia standing in front of the door of her room. "Marcia, what's wrong?" He asked her as Marcia angrily wiped her tears away from her eyes.

"Nothing." She answered in a strong confident voice. "Does father want me to complete any missions for today?" Liam looked at her for a minute before nodding his head.

"Yes, he wants you to exchange the drug deal with the Russians." Marcia only nodded back before heading to her fathers office.

The car came to a stop, Marcia looked out the window of the car to see a tall hotel building. She took a deep breath before her door opened.

Liam stood there, holding out his hand for her to take. Marcia stepped out of the car as the tail of her red gown reached the floor.

"Make sure to have everything ready." She whispered to Liam who stood beside her. Liam nodded his head before speaking through the earpiece in his ear.

Marcia started to walk forward with Liam only a step behind her, it was his job to make sure things didn't get out hand. It was also his job to protect her at all cost.

The front sliding doors of the hotel opened, the cold air felt nice against her skin. Marcia went straight to the elevators without being stopped or even paying any attention to anyone.

As her and Liam entered, the elevator doors closed. "You look beautiful." She heard Liam whisper to her out of no where. Marcia ignored his compliment, she leaned against on one of the walls of the elevator. She felt a bit upset after everything that Damon had told her earlier, but coming her tonight was the perfect distraction to take her mind off of him.

The elevator stopped and the doors opened. Liam was first to step out. He looked around the hallway before giving her the clear.

Marcia stepped out and walked towards the only door on the top floor. Two large men in black suits, stood on each side of the door.

They both looked down at Marcia, one of the men quickly searched her and Liam before opening the door for them. She went inside without thanking them, Liam following just a few steps behind her.

She was met with the penthouse of the hotel building. The large windows on the living room of the penthouse gave her the perfect view to city just outside the building.

Before Marcia could walk further in, the man she came to see was now standing in front of her. His dark blue suit was perfect on him, his gray eyes and blonde hair were destine to bring any girl down to her knees.

"You look lovely." He spoke in his thick Russian accent. He took a sip from the drink in his hand. Marcia looked around to see that the man standing in front of her had his men all around his penthouse.

It seemed like they were waiting to be attacked by someone. The Russian man held out his hand for her to take, he smirked as Marcia laid her eyes on his hand.

"Our room is waiting." He told her. Marcia nodded before taking hold of his hand. He started to lead her towards the staircase. Marcia was able to feel Liam's eyes on her the whole time till she was finally out of his sight.

"Hopefully you have been waiting for this night as much as I have." They both came to a stop, the Russian man in front of her opened the door that Marcia knew too well.

He motion for her to step inside first, she did as he wished. Marcia heard as the Russian man closed the door behind them and made sure to lock it.

Marcia's eyes wondered around the red room. Her eyes gazed at the black marble floor before landed on the red king size bed in front of her.

She turned around and slowly took off her gown. She watched as he slowly ate her up with his gray eyes.

"Beautiful."
